Behind the scenes
Understand the reason of your why. I promise you, there is always a why for everything. I saw a post saying how mothers’s tend to get upset at their daughters for cutting their hair short or not wearing a dress to a formal event or not shaving their legs or arms at a trip. Although on the surface it seems incredibly unreasonable and almost misogynistic in a sense. But, think about the behind the scenes of why she acted that way.
Say, if you once get hit by a car while crossing the streets before the lights turned green, and it traumatized you. Would you dare to let a loved one follow the same recklessness? I think not.
Maybe your mother when she was younger was taunted for having her hair short or not wearing a dress at a formal event or having body hair. She wouldn’t let her own daughter go through what she went through, even if the situation has changed.
Some things need thinking.
Think.

one of my older cousin apparently visits our granma’s grave every Friday , who passed recently, right. There’s this orange jasmine flower plant near, he always plucks out a few flowers, places them on top of the grave and says ‘take care and goodbye dida (a way to call granma in bengali)’. And I do not know how to live with this information anymore. I have not gathered a single ounce of courage yet to visit her grave. I want to but I’m too cowardly to do so.

one of my favorite things to do is, imagining that I am a character written by Ai Yaizawa, living in a messed up apartment in a neon city, probably earning off of sorts of art.
