Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

worse than the first one in terms of the writing got worse (seriously i could've made it better). I did however enjoy seeing the wizarding world in other countries and seeing more cool magic visuals. I do see how Grindewald's ideology would make sense like he wants the wizarding world to come out of hiding and not live in fear of the muggles (like yes i would want that too but nooo he's a terrorist instead). the plot about credence and leta's whole backstory literally makes no sense. like he ends up being related to dumbledore literally came out of nowhere like wtf. but queenie joining grindelwald made more sense the second time watching it. like i now understand she did it so that she can be in a world where she can safely marry jacob. But then they made dumbledore lowkey hot and badass (and his style is totally out of character)...

Will I be watching the third one in the theaters? yes. Do I hate warner bros for firing johnny depp? yes....BUT ngl i kinda think mads mikkelson looks better for the role.

Just watched the first volume and wow....just wow. There was so much blood and missing limbs but it looked so fake....like I guess it’s better that way but I guess that’s what makes it fun...? The editing played like a japanese anime which was really cool and unique and coming from an Asian, Tarantino did a really good job on Asian representation (even tho the main character is still white) and Kung fu choreography (he paid a big homage to Bruce lee). I think Quentin Tarantino did an excellent job in portraying badass female characters and still having them be loving and caring.

But after watching several of his movies, you can tell what his formula is. Like every movie has a big violent bloody sequence in the end where everyone dies and at this point it’s purely for comedic and entertainment reasons.

Lady Bird

Excellent movie! I love Saoirse Ronan’s acting in this film and how she displayed her frustration towards her mother, something I can relate to. The best part was when she jumped out of the car; I termed it “doing a lady bird.” 

I mean it was still a bit cliche...she’s like trying to be edgy and cool like drinking and stuff...then Timothee Chalamet’s character turns out to be some jerk... (dang that was disappointing)

Incredibles 2

I liked this movie in the way that it portrayed the family side of the Incredibles. and how a single dad can take care of his kids. It was so relatable and with Violet being all awkward around her (much hotter) crush. Hilarious. 10/10. 

but the actual plot was kinda meh. Kinda predictable. But at least we saw more Jack Jack. I wonder if we get a chance to see Jack Jack grown up...yoooooo that would be sick. and like violet is in college, dash is in high school. bruh someone petition for an Incredibles 3.

Thor: Ragnorak

I love seeing the squishy side of Thor! But I also found it kinda annoying. But overall the movie had excellent cinematics and comedic scenes, especially all the loki scenes. It had a pretty interesting plot, but it was kind of long. The thing is i watched this after watching Infinity War so watching this made soooo muuuch seeense. 

Deadpool

This movie was waaaaayyy too rated R for me....and I found deadpool kinda annoying. he broke the fourth wall waaay too much like chill bro and be quiet for a sec. yeh deadpool talks too much...but i tbh i would do the same. 

The House of Tomorrow

I’m sorry Asa but this was not a good movie. It wasn’t like bad, but it wasn’t good. The plot didn’t rly make sense like the grandma had a stroke then asa met this punk-ass kid and became punk and left his sheltered life... I did like the punk-ness even though it was kinda cringy when they tried to sing and the music was based on like classic punk rock, not new alternative rock...bit disappointing. 

but aaaahhh asa is so cute tho! but he sucks at acting again! ugh why does he always play the weird outsider kid who lives under a rock...

and Asa got that dumbass mowhawk....i swear he peaked in MPHFPC

Bohemian Rhapsody

OOOOOOMMMGGG THIS MOVIE GAVE ME NOSTALGIA FEELS!! IT’S SO GOOD AND QUEEN IS GOD AND THEIR MUSIC NEEDS TO BE WORSHIPPED! omg im also in love with the cast. they look exactly like their characters, it’s uncanny. also squad goals:

what a perfect cast! they actual members of the band are actually so funny like when Roger Taylor wrote “I’m in love with my car” and threatened to throw the coffee machine and then when he was singing Galileo and was like “who’s Galileo?” and “my nuts are gonna burst” or the fact that Brian May is also an astrophysicist. And then the amazing-ness of Freddie Mercury and the Live Aid concert! AAAGH SO GOOD!

Journey’s End

It was pretty good. I like it as a drama but not as a war movie. There was little action and a lot of Sam Claflin screaming and being emotional. I basically watched it cuz of Asa Butterfield who plays Jimmy Raleigh who fricken DIES SUCH A PATHETIC DEATH! HE DIDN’T EVEN FIGHT AND HE JUST GOT BLOWN UP THEN HAD A TERRIBLY SAD SLOW DEATH WHILE THE AUDIENCE JUST SOBS CUZ HE WAS ONLY 18 BUT LOOKS TWO! 

ALSO PAUL BETTANY WAS FRICKEN AMAZING IN THIS! he also dies a pathetic yet honorable death...with such little action...

anyway this movie needs more action and less Sam Claflin (even tho he’s the main character but he’s just 90% drunk, 9% crying, and 1% actually doing his job)

Maze Runner: Death Cure

It’s still pretty bad but better than the previous two. I actually realized what the plot was! And it’s so fucking flawed. I’m totally against thomas and UGH HE’S SO STUPID IF ONLY HE LISTENED TO TERESA FOR GODS SAKE HE COULD’VE SAVED THE WORLD! ugh whatever...i basically only watched it for Thomas Brodie Sangster who is super FRICKEN CUTE BUT HE FUCKING DIED AND IT WAS SO HEARTBREAKING AAAAAGHHH!! also I didn’t read any of the books cuz I heard they were pretty bad too...

Still don’t get how any of this has to do with mazes... like I get the running part...

but like why isn’t Newt immune??? and everyone else is? what is the point of the whole maze? how does science work in this? why does thomas have miracle blood?? 

don’t say i need to read the books to find out...movies alone should answer questions like this...at least don’t have plot holes...

also also NEWTMAS ALL THE WAY who the fuck ships thomas and teresa that was so forced...

Avengers: Infinity War

FUCK YOU MARVEL!!!! I HAVEN’T FELT THIS CRUSHED IN ANY MARVEL/DISNEY MOVIE EVER!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! YOU CAN’T DO THIS TO ME! THEY BETTER COME BACK IN THE NEXT ONE OTHERWISE I’M GOING TO REWRITE THE SCRIPT UNTIL MY LITTLE UGH (by that I mean everyone especially Spiderman and Vision) HAS A HAPPY LIFE!! I CAN’T DEAL WITH THIS!

It was so good!!! If you haven’t watched the previous movies then you should probably watch it cuz like aheeeeem yeeeeeah..... Although I felt the CGI stuff was a bit eeek like Thanos’ hand when he’s holding the infinity stone. Also I’m so confused about Hulk...like why can’t he transform? Does he have like a second persona or something??? cuz i thought he can just get angry and transform....is he not angry enough??? whaaaaat????

Coco

This movie was so fucking touching...like I almost cried tho other people actually cried....but I almost cried cuz it’s more bittersweet than actually sad. The whole movie is just so fucking cute and sweet and I love the music!!!! ahhhhh!! JUST LISTENING TO REMEMBER ME MAKES ME WANNA CRYYYY!! AND fucking Hector and Coco! And that fucking plot twist! that was dark as heck...

Although nothing beats Up in the amount of tears....and for me Finding Nemo was the best....for nostalgia reasons. But fucking Pixar every single fucking time has to produce a masterpiece....

Schindler’s List

Heck this movie doesn’t even need a fucking review because it is so good and everyone already knows it’s good. I mean it’s fricken Steven Spielberg and John Williams...it’s gotta be good. It won fricken 7 Oscars! The whole movie is just fucking depressing from start to finish. When I watched it, I felt really scared of death cuz fricken Voldemort-dude just kills people out of cold blood and you never know who’s gonna fucking die! Then they’re all like on the brink of death and fucking Schindler thank the lord saves them all! 1,100 Jews were saved and Schindler still felt guilty for not saving enough! And they were all so grateful and I wanna cry aaaaahhhh...

But anyway Liam Neeson, Ben Kingsley, and fricken Ralph Fiennes are the best even tho everyone wants Ralph Fiennes’ character to die (which he does thank god) like then he played Voldemort who is basically Hitler and everyone wants him to die (which he does thank god...)....and like the music alone with make u sob your heart out 

Lawrence of Arabia

Ok I can’t stress how FRICKEN GOOD THIS MOVIE IS! LIKE IT’S FRICKEN 3 HOURS OF PURE GOLD! LIKE THE MUSIC SCORE IS LIKE THE BEEEST (ok besides John Williams’ stuff) BUT STILL! And fricken Lawrence is so quirky and weird and creepy looking! And fricken OBI WAN KENOBI is in it! And I hate sand but like whatever this movie is 90% sand...and it’s historical too so yall can learn about WWI and how amazingly brave the real T.E. Lawrence was...how he united the arab tribes to fight the Turks while evil british ppl want to conquer shit...and fricken Ali is the beeest

And how he fricken died just like WHAT! And like there’s 5 min of black screen and just the AMAZING MUSIC SCORE!

Breathe

Holy crap. It’s not as Oscar worthy as The Theory of Everything but it was 10x cuter and sadder and definitely more romance. Like they both lived in a wheelchair their entire life, their wives sacrificed everything to take care of them, and they accomplished something big in society. Both of them are also based on true stories: Stephen Hawking and Robert Cavindish. The difference is that this guy, Robert Cavindish, had polio and needed a respirator, but he can talk fine. Also the love between Robert and his wife Diana never faltered. It was true to the end. IT WAS SO SAD!! Also Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy are amazing and the son was also cute. Heh.

The only thing is that they should’ve spent more time in the beginning building up the romance. Like 12 minutes in they’re like already married!! Like whaaaat?! Like when did that happen?! They like just met!! Anyway the script tho is the best! It was actually funny and quirky and just Robert Cavindish is the best! It was so cute!!

1984

If you have read 1984 by George Orwell, then this movie basically summarizes the whole movie. Whenever I have read a book then watch the movie, I feel like the movie is going by so fast and doesn’t flow like how the book does. The movie is fine cuz it’s just like the book. It’s also rated R so if you are fine with nudity then yeah go for it....The movie doesn’t explain things as well as the book and does leave some parts out but it doesn’t really matter...anyway John Hurt is amazing in this! And the cool part is that they filmed this in the months April, May, and June in 1984 which is when the book takes place. Also if you haven’t read the book, the whole goddamn thing is downright depressing! Basically Winston tries to rebel against this totalitarian regime in a dystopian version of London. He meets Julia who is also a rebel. Then they get caught and tortured. The government is so fucking messed up. Just imagine the Soviet Union and the Nazis but more extreme. Yep. So fucking depressing.
