I watched “The Idea Of You” and honestly… I liked it!
There’s something so funny about knowing it was a Harry Styles fan fiction (!!) cuz I can even pin point places where the comments were probably going crazy. When there was a montage of something I found myself saying „Oh and that was probably like 15 chapters we skipped” but it kind of makes me want to read the “book” more.
The movie is nice, cute and good for an afternoon watch. It has a happy ending so all you sad gurls calm down right now. There was something in the movie that left me a little bit nostalgic and sad, like I was about to cry but I never did.

I just finished the “Fallout” series on Prime Video and (as always) I have thoughts. [WITHOUT SPOILERS]
The show is based off a series of games called “Fallout”, concerning the post nuclear war world. In the most basic way, the games portray life after that time and gave you, the player, many challenges to face.
Of course there was a concern that the show will turn out badly, because in the past decade the only good adaptation of a game was “The last of us”, the other ones flopped.
But I am here to tell you that Fallout completely changes the bad curse that was given the adaptations of games.
1. The show trusts the viewer:
You don’t get information on the plate (like avatar did for example), you received them at a specific time and that makes you interested in the show. I really like the fact that the directors didn’t put everything at the start so that the viewer won’t “lose interest”. This is really important because in today’s time it is really hard to find a show that understands that their viewer is smart.
2. I think the plot is really interesting:
Without saying any information I think the plot is very well put together, it makes sense, it’s not forced and that makes the show interesting.
3. The characters are not “two dimensional”:
I am not saying literally, but you can see that every single character has their flaws and their good sides. The fact that they are just… people makes the show so much better. I found myself rooting for the “bad” characters just because they were written in the way that they weren’t actually “bad”, if you know what I mean
4. I like the representation:
It is really hard to put representation in a show without forcing it and make it obvious but this show made it so good to include non-binary people, people of different colour and even though it’s just a minor fact I think it is just nice.
5. And the most important thing:
It is just really fun. The jokes are saddle but cool. The plot is interesting. That makes you watch one episode and then put the next one. I finished the show in one day and honestly I couldn’t stop myself from it.
I really hope they will be season two and I really hope that the next adaptations of games will be like fallout.

i wish there wasn’t such a stigmatized view on platonically loving people.
I can’t call people nicknames and pet names like hun and honey without them immediately assuming i have romantic interest in them.
i can’t tell my friends i love them without adding on “platonically” or shortening the phrase “ily” “love you” “love u”
i love a lot of people. i love my sister, i love my boyfriend, and i love my best friend. All different versions of love.
let us love people openly and honestly without it being seen as “making a move” or being romantically interested.
please please please stop assuming that love is strictly romantic, i promise you life becomes so much brighter and bigger when you stop keeping love strictly romantic.

am I the only one right now who's a little bit obsessed about Annabeth Chase? I'm obsessed with her in every single form. I don't give a fuck about her skin color, whatever every form is good. I'm talking about the “vibes” she leaves when she's leaving the room. I'm talking about the way she reacts the situations. I feel like I am her. I feel like I want to be her. I feel like I want to have a best friend like her, I want my sister to be like her, my mother to be like her. she's pretty much the perfect representation of a teenage girl in any type of media. She is smart she's feminine she's beautiful she's not over sexualised. To all those qualities she is funny and kind. Every single quality of her is collaborating and it's making this feminine powerful type of figure. I feel like I am being seen because of her. I feel like when I'm reading the book from a “guy's perspective” or I'm watching the show technically from the “guy's perspective” I don't feel betrayed I don't feel used as a woman.

My review of the ,,My life with the Walter Boys” show.
If you're here, you've probably watched MLWTWB, so you know what the series is about, but just in case, I'll quickly summarize the plot.
The family of 15-year-old Jackie (Nikki Rodriguez) dies in a terrible accident. She goes to her mother's friend's house and starts living there with her 9 sons (6 of whom are around her age).
So, drama.
I want to discuss all the plots in the tv series, and with that, what I think about them, cuz boy we have a lot to talk about.
Closer to the end, I suggest what I would develop or add.
Let’s go.
1. The very horrible thing:
Don’t get me wrong, I know this is a wattpad book, about love triangle and everything, but I think the show didn’t handle well, the very horrible thing that happens to Jackie, the accident. I don’t want to even imagine how big of a heartbreak it would be if my whole family died and I feel like she is moving on too fast. In emotional scenes (like her sisters birthday or her father collage experience) she doesn’t show enough emotion. And I understand that she may hide her feelings, but COME ON?!
How I would do it, I would just change that it’s been a year from the accident and maybe that she went to therapy for a very long time, and with a lot of support, she is stronger. I don’t wanna sound like a snowflake, but it’s just a small detail and it changes so much. I just don’t see the vision that she would care about her boy drama in THAT situation.
Tumblr media
2. The wedding plot:
I actually really liked Haley (Will’s fiance), so seeing her on screen wasn’t painful. But sadly I can’t say the same about the plot she was involved in.
For me the “Will and Haley” plot went in a good way - to show, how does a workaholic work (?) and how to help a workaholic (Will) - Sadly the plot, from the good side, went straight to the wedding drama that was honestly over exaggerated. I understand that they want to start their own life, and I would even understand if it was about like idk buying an apartment. But the fact that Will was so obsessed with having a wedding was just not realistic and weird. I hope we will see the problem of workaholism more in the next season (if it will happen).
Tumblr media
3. The lonely boy vs the jock
Here’s the deal,
It’s not like I hate the stereotypical main lead boys being the complete opposites, because it really can be fun sometimes. But I just don’t think these are portrayed accurately. I would even argue that Cole (Noah Lalonde) and Alex (Ashby Gentry) are very alike.
The stereotype works only if you actually hold on to it for the whole show, and here we can quickly see what kind of person Alex really is. (And it’s not like I’m team Cole, just let me explain).
At the begging we were given a sneak peek of who are the “Walter Boys”. Every single one of them is different in an own special way. Lee skates. Danny loves theatre. And Nathan is an artist and also gay (which is still a tv show personality trait). I think even Cole has some kind of personality, much fruitful then Alex. Cuz Alex at the start is portrayed to be this “quiet, nerdy, “books are life”” type of boy (which I don’t hate), but quickly we can see that he likes to show off and he’s all a bit creepy. His change of character is so fast that as a viewer you don’t really know what happened. Of course we can assume that he changed because of Jackie, but it’s still too drastic.
When we’re talking about Cole, I can say that even though, this trope is as old as time, he’s change from an arrogant jock to a helpful and sensitive guy, is pretty smooth. And that’s because he is not changing completely (unlike Alex). You, as a viewer, still can see a little bit of the school jock in Cole, but now it’s almost positive (?).
But the biggest problem I have with the whole drama around Alex and Cole is the fact that Jackie is not even the problem! And I know it sounds crazy, but she just shouldn’t be involved. Because they are not ACTUALLY fighting for her. As Alex admits to Cole (in that one horse episode), he competed with him his whole life. They already fought over a girl! They fought over everything!!
I myself wouldn't want to be used to prove something to someone, so watching the scenes between the three of them was uncomfortable and a bit cringeworthy. I feel sorry for Jackie in all of this because I feel like she just didn't realize that it wasn't about her. therefore, watching these three was more sad and disturbing than exciting. As a viewer, I wanted the boys to sort things out among themselves and for Jackie to just not get involved in this shit, because it’s not worth it.
By the way, the fact that there are two brothers is already strange, and while in "The summer I turned pretty" somehow got over it, here the hatred towards the second brother was very unhealthy.
If I were to propose a solution to this situation, I would establish Alex's character at the beginning (because he could have been a bit different from the beginning and the change would not have been so drastic). I would put an end to the boys' conflicts, and if something was actually going to happen, it would have to be outside of Jackie's knowledge, not that "if she's there, she'll get involved in it."

4. The “Cole” Effect
If we’re already talking about Cole, we can’t forget about the “Cole” Effect, that the show was trying to push on to us for the whole season.
I get that he is attractive and I understand the phenomenon (partly), AND I can say that I knew guys who had this "Name" effect. Except it doesn't work that way.
I would buy the whole story about this effect if it weren't so obvious. The fact that his brothers, his parents, HIMSELF, know this is just a little weird. That they address each other by saying that Cole has the "Cole" Effect and how much importance everyone places on it.
I knew guys who were like that too; REALLY; but that was only a small part of what they were like, and a small group of fangirls knew about the term. However, here we can see practically everyone saying that everything Cole does is thanks to the "Cole" effect.
If I had to fix it - I would chill with this term, make a joke out of it between Jackie and Gracie (her friend), which could accidentally come out to Cole and it would be a funny situation.
J: cuz you know, you have this ,,Cole” effect
C: I have what?
J: Oh no! Gracie is gonna kill me.
C: I have what?! *laughing*
J: it’s… it’s a thing few girls came up with..it’s stupid *blushing*
C: No no! I wanna hear about the… “Cole” effect.

5. Financial Problems
It’s a trope we all expected, it’s a trope we got. Look, it's not that I didn't like this plot, because there were more boring plots that I scrolled through (Will and Haley, for example). I really liked the boys' parents, so this trope was fine. I think the plot was inserted so that the parents would ALSO have their own problem. It was ok, I have nothing more to add. I wouldn't change anything.
Tumblr media
6. Side characters:
Let's talk about secondary characters. Jackie's friends were okay, although they were so stereotypical that I don't think it could be any more stereotypical. As for the teacher and her love story, it was even interesting, she was okay too.
The gay gossip seemed to start out pretty well, but personally I was a bit against Nathan, I think we saw a good example of love bombing and it turned into a cute love story. I was more interested in the love bombing as an actual problem in teenage relationships.
Tumblr media
7. Side brothers:
There were a lot of them, so I don't want to exclude them here either. I regret that we didn't get more content with the other brothers, because the dynamic of 6 teenage boys in a house could be really interesting - especially since they are so different.
Personally, I kind of regret that we didn't get Lee's plot, who told Jackie that "it's hard to get attention in this house sometimes" and he fought hard for HIS dad's attention. I think it would be interesting and so true.
Of course I loved Isaac because he was actually very charming, it's a shame we didn't get to see more of him and his dynamic with Nathan, who really appreciated him as an older brother.
Danny, my love. Great character, interesting, not enough on screen. I also had a problem with the fact that he eventually started hanging out with Erin, who, as we know, was with his brother.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
8. The Only girl In the world (in the house):
You probably think I'm going to talk about Jackie again, but no. I wanted to talk about Parker (the only girl, the only sister in the house). Her plot is based on the fact that she is ashamed of being a girl because of how many brothers she has and is afraid of being ridiculed. I think it's very interesting and I was excited when I heard about it, it's a pity that the thread is touched upon in the last episode for less than 3 minutes.
When I saw that there was one sister, I hoped that there would be some relationship between her and Jackie. Unfortunately, I was disappointed because their interactions are practically zero.
If I really had it change it, I would just create this plot and stick to it.
9. Erin:
Keeping with the girls topic, let's talk about Erin. Of course we had the topic of a bully girl who turns out to be good, but I think this time it was done well.
I like how we don't find the problem in her money, or really her family, but simply in her passions. You can also guess that she is basically lonely because she keeps coming back to Cole. Towards the end, something starts to happen between her and Danny, and you see what a completely different person she is. I would say the change is a little TOO drastic but still acceptable.
Tumblr media
And here I end my argument about the series "My life with the Walter Boys". Overall, I liked the series, I hope there will be a second part, even though the book has no continuation. It's a very chill-drama series for 3 evenings and it's very funny to go back to Netflix dramas. This is what I needed! If you have time for some shitty TV series, definitely watch it. if not, then definitely don't do it and choose something else.

I couldn't find a nice and simple children's book for my cousin for a long time. She's Polish, I'm partly Polish too, I'll say something in Polish but not much, I also wanted to learn the language, and this book is lovely, funny and super cheap😯 I recommend it to everyone who is in my situation, although I know it's probably not much . I'll be posting about "My life with the Walter boys" soon and I can't wait to hear your opinions.

Nooooo this is too real. I had such a situation in my freshman year when suddenly, during remote lessons, I started observing this one "aloner" on the webcam. moral of the story - he ruined a year and a half of my life
We've all been obsessed with a boy like Coriolanus Snow at some point in our lives. A guy to whom you wrote 20 messages and he replies "👍". A guy who often told a controversial joke that you turned a blind eye to. A guy who sat at the back of the class alone and you thought, "wow, he's so mysterious and cool, he's probably sitting alone because he's so misunderstood" - girl, he's sitting alone because he's a shitty person.
Thanks to Lucy Gray for presenting one of the most relatable things in every teenage girl’s life
