i haven’t updated in so long, i’m so sorry!
when she first became a model, people were like… that face can't be real. it's photoshop or smth, it's so perfect
BUT NOPE
irene is literally just that beautiful
models for cosmetics, not really clothes too much
but when she does model for clothing lines, whatever she wore sold out in under five minutes
no one believes she’s a day over 20 when they first see her, they're always like…. ur either drinking straight outta the fountain of youth or ur really just that young
but they stop saying that when they see her with newbie model!yeri, because….. she's a whole mom
babies the hell outta yeri, and even though yeri is like… irene, pls…. i’m an adult
she still eats the crust-free, dinosaur shaped sandwhiches irene brings her with the biggest smile on her face
and that smile is the reason irene babies her so much
irene lives to make other people happy, and it's this trait that makes you fall super hard for her
ur an employ at the company irene is signed with, and it's not like ur in her immediate team or anything like that
u just recieve requests from people that want to work with the agency’s models, and it's ur job to sort out the request and either assign them a model if they haven't specified, or make sure the requests reach the desk of the specific model’s team
and it's a really good job! u like it, especially since an organized environment is what you love most in the world, and that's basically what ur doing for a living
but sometimes it gets stressful
bc the agency is so huge, it requires everyone to be on their a game at all times, and since it's basically just you doing the sorting, it can be…. overwhelming
and especially in the few months or so before spring is when it gets real hectic
because everyone wants models for photoshoots with blooming flowers and falling cherry blossoms
which you’ve handled before, it should be no big deal, and this year should be no different
but for some reason
when you go to work one day
you just….. can't
it's not like you sit at your desk and do nothing, but it's more like you're trying to do things, but keep making mistakes you’ve never made before
when it's an hour before your lunch break, you send out two stacks of requests, one for irene’s team, and one for seulgi’s team, because those two usually are more opinionated on which jobs they take on, and they'll probably need more time than yeri, joy, and wendy combined to decide
and ur like ‘cool, the requests are on their way, i need to stop stressing and chill a little, i got this.’
but right as you say this, an intern walks into ur office and looks kinda…. concerned?
and u know it's the intern from seulgi’s team, so ur like…. what happened with the requests, is something wrong?
and the intern kinda mumbles at first cause they don't want you to be upset, but eventually you make out that they're trying to tell you that…. irene and seulgi’s request still haven't been recieved
wat
“what do you mean they weren't recieved?”
“like… we got the message that we’d be recieving them today at 11:00 am, but….. we never got it.”
and you just snap because
oh my god
this is a major mistake, and you're going to be the one to take the blame
you tell the intern that you're going to fix it, and to go tell both seulgi’s and irene’s teams that it’ll be there soon
they nod and leave, and you begin to scavenge through all the scrunched up and tossed away notes to try and decipher which brand wanted who and what day and time and the benefits they offer with each job
and it's literal hell, because all your notes are so vague, because you immediately wrote them down on the official request forms for irene and seulgi so you wouldn't have to rewrite it later and waste time
without even realizing, lunch is long gone and it's nearing time for you to get off work
but there are at least ¼ of the requests missing from each girls’ pile and you're full on sobbing bc….. this sucks
and you're so stressed that you don't even realize someone entered your office until they timidly knock on the surface of your desk
you're somewhere between shocked and scared when you see it's irene, because a) you didn't even know she knew where your office was? and b) was she there to yell at you or fire you? because you will cry even harder if that's the case
but nah
before you can do anything, irene sets down a plastic container on your desk and pulls out a fork and a bottle of water from her purse and puts those in front of you as well
and that's when she really gets on ur fucking uwus, because she opens the container to reveal some crust-less, dinosaur shaped sandwiches with a fruit cup in the shape of stars on the side
“you didn't come out of your office all day, and the delivery guy didn't have your usual order when he stopped by the office earlier, so i….”
she kinda motions to the food, and looks down sheepishly, and ur all sorts of “wat” on the inside bc????
is irene a literal angel? probably
you thank her profusely and tell her she didn't have to do this, but she just gives you the softest smile and goes:
“i heard about what happened today. it's not your fault, but you're probably kicking yourself like it is. i just wanted to make sure you're not beating yourself up over this, because it makes me sad when you're stressed like that.”
irene has to leave shortly after that because she has a night shoot for this brand that came out with a new line of evening gown’s and irene was begged to model for it
but she makes sure to leave her number on your desk and tells you to text her if you're ever stressed and need someone to talk to
or if you wanna go on a taco date with her, but she says that part in her head bc she's like…. it's too soon for me to be this forward with them
sure enough, you do text irene a few days later, but it's not cause you're stressed
you actually ask her out to dinner to repay her for her kindness earlier
irene, in a meeting with her team, recieving ur text asking her out on saturday
manager: “what about this quick photoshoot for armani on saturday bc they're a top brand, and we really shouldn't say no to that??”
irene, feeling her heart ready to burst out of her chest: “no, i’m going to be living my dreams on saturday, k, bye :)”
you let irene pick the restaurant, and you thought it was gonna be fancy and expensive, bc, hello, super famous model??
but instead she goes “i know this taco truck”
if you weren't already in love with her at that point, YOU SURE AS HELL ARE NOW
so, you guys are sitting on this park bench at 11 pm
with four plates of tacos between the two of you
and you guys are telling stories and cracking jokes, and it’s honestly the best date either of you have ever been on
and at the end, irene just kinda lays her head on your shoulder and sighs so happily
“thank you for this, it’s been awhile since i’ve had this much fun.”
“maybe we could do this again sometime, then?”
irene suddenly snaps her head up to look at you with wide eyes, and is like “SERIOUSLY? OMG, CAUSE I HAD SUCH A GREAT TIME BUT I DIDN’T KNOW IF YOU HAD FUN TOO!”
“irene.... ur literally the human embodiment of happiness, i can’t be anything but in a good mood when i’m around u.”
something in irene just melts, and she’s like so happy that she pulls you in this giant hug and just starts to ramble about how happy she is and
and then she’s just like “i’m so happy you had fun, because i really like you, like a lot, and i would’ve been real sad if you didn’t have fun”
you just giggle and go “i like you too, okay? you can stop being so nervous now.”
and she relaxes and smiles, grabs your hand, entwine it with hers, and the two of you continue to talk and get to know each other even more
and that’s how you two start dating
y’all are the mom couple, y’all already knew this was coming
cutting fun shapes into yeri’s food so she thinks it's more exciting to ear her fruits and vegetables? check.
making sure joy doesn't break that vvv expensive vase while y’all are visiting locations for potential photoshoot’s? check.
helping wendy translate her thoughts properly when she’s too flustered to do so? check.
putting bandaids onto seulgi’s scrapes when she attempts to do some sport and takes it a little too seriously? check.
you two are just the resident angels, and everyone looks up to you two?? aspiring to be as great as you and irene are?
you two are really making the world a better place, bless
and you two take really good care of each other too! always making sure the other is eating properly and if the other is stressed that they have a shoulder to cry on or a person to love them unconditionally
it's gr8, and the rv members are so happy that irene has found someone with just as much love in their heart as she does, and isn't afraid to tell irene she's the love of their life every day
concept: irene has now taken a habit to eating lunch in your office. occasionally, the other rv members join too, but irene comes every day at noon with two sets of food and the biggest smile on her face. she always says that you're the best part about coming to work now.

Day 16: Dreamer by Solji
I love, love, love EXID, and everyone in it, and my love especially goes to Solji. Her voice is probably one of my top 5 favorites, and it’s just so pleasant to listen to. For a while I was kinda bummed to learn that she’s be sitting out of promotions, but since it’s for her well being, I didn’t really think about it too much. I still missed her voice a lot, and when I found out she had a solo song on their latest mini album, I felt like I could run a marathon, I was so happy. The song is so relaxing, and cute, and it just goes to show that she’s still got it. Here’s to her hopefully returning as our Leader Heo in 2018!

Day 14: Palette by IU
Epic collabs mean two of your favorite artists coming together to bring you the most relaxing, soothing song you’ve listened to all year, and that’s exactly what happened when IU dropped Palette. There is no way you can listen to this song and NOT think about cute coffee dates and rainy days. If you weren’t already convinced enough by the sole fact that it’s IU, then be prepared to because this song also has... G-Dragon! Yes! That G-Dragon! And his smooth rap is truly the cherry on top of this beautifully aesthetic comeback.

Day 15: I’ll Be Yours by Girl’s Day
The quircky, dorky ladies of Girl’s Day made a comeback to remind you that they also have a cool, sexy side as well! I think it’s so great how Girl’s Day can showcase different sides of themselves depending on the concept and place. Like, during variety shows, you see the fun, free-spirited girls that genuinely just want to have a good time with each other. During comebacks like Darling, you can see their cute, lovely side and how they’re just naturally filled with lots of cuteness an bubbliness. And during comebacks like I’ll Be Yours, you can see their feminine, fatal side that has you wondering if an actual goddess just descended onto earth.

Day 13: Summer Storm by Jessica Jung
What else can I say other than Queen? Jessica is such an amazing artist, as well as one of my biggest role models. She’s elegant, talented, graceful, caring, beautiful, hardworking, and determined. I look up to her so, so much, and her music truly touches me. Her soothing voice always lifts my mood, and it’s honestly such a gift to be graced with her music. I know she’ll continue to inspire and create beauty next year, and I’m honestly so excited. Bless Queen Jessica!

Day 12: NiNaNo by Minzy
Dancing queen finally got her time to shine with her solo debut this year! Minzy, who is often accredited for her amazing dance skills, is also very gifted at singing. She’s basically perfect, and while I know a lot of people were complaining about this song, I actually really liked it.
It may not have been the best song to showcase her singing talents, but I thought it was a good balance between vocal and dance, especially for a solo debut. I’m really looking forward to what she has in store for us in the future, and I think that NiNaNo is just the beginning to a very long list of great songs from her.

Day 11: Yes I Am by Mamamoo
Anytime Mamamoo releases a song, just be prepared to be shook by the vocals. That is a given. Their harmonies are soooo good, and Moonbyul’s rapping is always a delight. Yes I Am displays the best of Mamamoo, from their colorful dance moves, creative music video, to the sweetest vocals. In no way was I let down by this comeback. I know I say this almost every time Mamamoo has a comeback, but this might be my favorite song from them yet. That’s saying something, because I was obsessed with You’re the Best for the longest time.
So, if you’re looking for that perfect girl group with visuals, charisma, energy, vocals, and more: Mamamoo are your girls.

Day 10: Draw Me by Wonder Girls
Alright, everyone, this is the last of a series of tear-jerkers so just be patient with me.
Following the announcement of Wonder Girls disbanding, they also decided that a proper goodbye was needed. The song is so melodic and gives off a cozy coffee shop vibe. As someone who has truly loved the Wonder Girls ever since I first got into K-Pop, this was one of my hardest goodbye’s. However, knowing the fact that the girls are happy with their own paths makes it a little easier. All I can say is: Thank you, girls. Thank you so, so much.

Day 9: Love Whisper by GFriend
My little baby princesses never fail to produce the best songs with the best choreography. I love their concepts, honestly, because it seems like whatever they try, each member can pull it off effortlessly.
I was really torn which of GFriends comebacks to write about, but I chose Love Whisper because it’s such a calming song that the girls pull off so beautifully. They make the choreo look so easy, even thought they’re actually using very complex moves, even to the point where others may try to argue that it’s not. That’s how good they are. Hands down, GFriend is one of the most talented groups I’ve come across. Everything from visuals to vocals, GFriend has it.

Day 8
Day 8: Lonely by Sistar
Let the tears flow. Sistar was the first girl group I got to see live, and I was even lucky enough to get to see Soyou really close. They were so cute and lovely, and honestly any one of them could punch me in the face and I’d thank them.
While it was a goodbye I didn’t want to say, Sistar decided to travel down their own paths, but not without one last song for their fans. Lonely, which honestly made me feel an abundance of emotions, displayed the colors of Sistar perfectly, and honestly left me feeling pretty complete. While it’s sad to know that I can’t look forward to their summer comebacks any more, I am thankful to all of the members for being absolute angels, and I wish them nothing but happiness and success in their individual paths.

Day 7: Gashina by Sunmi
This was originally supposed to be Day 9, but I decided to move it up a few days because I needed a more up beat song right now to ease my mind off all the bad things in my life rn.
Gashina! Everyone and their cat has heard it, and for good reason! This Sunmi comeback literally slayed my entire existence. After moving to a new company, Sunmi took on a different concept compared to her other solo releases. While 24 Hours and Full Moon were definitely great songs, this song showcased a more charismatic, as well as slightly dorky, side to Sunmi that I loved. The choreography is simple, yet clean, sharp, and addictive, and the music video definitely caught my attention for its slightly trippy vibe. If you couldn’t get enough of this (like me), then no worries! Sunmi has graced us with a Dance Part Switch version, as well as a collab with Taemin at the 2017 MAMAs!

Day 6: Goodbye by 2NE1
Okay, get ready for the waterfalls. So, 2NE1 was the first girl group I ever got into, and will remain my Queens until the day I am no longer. With the news of their disbandment, I was heartbroken, and, tbh, I’m still heartbroken over it. With that said, 2NE1 were kind enough to bid us farewell with one last song, which brought tears to my eyes. This song was (sadly) the beginning to other disbanding groups giving fans one last song before they go their separate ways (hinthint for some of the upcoming days). All I can say is, the sad beauty of this song is something that will leave a lasting impression.

Day 5: Loop by Raina (ft. Aron of Nu’est)
If I’m going to be honest, Raina was my first bias in After School, and I honestly don’t think (or at least remember) she has ever not been my bias. I missed her so much, and when it was announced that she was coming back with a song featuring Aron, I lost my freaking mind. Her voice is one of my favorites, and the song was just so beautifully suited for her. The music video was honestly really cute as well, and, I’m not going to lie, my heart melted seeing Raina and Aron act as a couple. I couldn’t help it, they’re so cute! Day 4: Freeze by Momoland
Okay, I’ll admit it. At first, I only checked this song out because Jaehwan was in the music video, and he’s one of my favorites in Wanna One. However, once I listened to this song, I knew I was hooked. The music video, which was very unique and cute, portrays the feeling of a circus perfectly, and the song itself had a very good balance of fun, but also a sense of artistic portrayal. I’m really glad I checked it out, and you will be too!

Honestly, who didn’t have this song stuck in their head for weeks on end? This summer comeback was one of Red Velvet’s catchiest songs yet, which says something, considering the fact that they have bops such as Dumb Dumb and Russian Roulette under their belt. Hello, all! As some of you may know, I started to do something where I post a song I adore from 2017 everyday until the end of the year, and I meant to do the same with girl groups on this blog, but I FORGOT, so I present to you Days 1 & 2 of my 2017 bop list Female Edition!
Day 1: One More Time by Twice
Okay, I know they were pretty active this year with comebacks and such, and we all know Signal and Likey were absolutely amazing, but I just want to take a moment to appreciate One More Time. The song is so catchy, and the music video is quirky, that you can’t help but to fall in love. If you haven’t listened to it yet, you’re seriously missing out!

Day 2: As If It’s Your Last by BlackPink
I swear that my friend Kena was so done with me a month after its release, because guess what? I continuously played this song no matter where we were. In the car on our way to lunch? As If It’s Your Last. At her house, studying for a biology test? AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST. Honestly, Lisa’s rap saved me, and the vocals of each member is just so unique that it makes me appreciate this release even more. 11/10, BlackPink are my queens

literally started modeling just because the rest of blackpink was doing it and lisa was like... i must follow in their footsteps... it is my destiny
yeah, modeling for brand names is great and all, but lisa? lisa would rather model for the new dance studio across the street or for the latest line of dancing shoes, no matter for what kind of dance
and her agency just kinda lets it happen because lisa has a smile that could make the sun cry
and she only found out that people liked her smile after the third time jisoo got caught doing some ridiculous thing for lisa and she’s like.... jisoo.... you could have just told me no if you knew you were going to get in trouble
jisoo: lisa, you literally looked like a freakin angel when you asked me, all smiley and crap, how can i possibly say no to you when you smile at me?
jisoo would do it again in a heart beat, tbh, lisa just has to bat her eyes a few times, and everyone will be a goner
except for bambam
he literally judges her 25/8
it’s okay, though, because she judges right back
they never let each other forget their embarrassing moments
not even that super minor embarrassing incident where bambam tripped on may 26th, 2008 at 7:48 pm
or when lisa sighed a little too loud during a test on september 13, 2007 at 2:31 pm
you get the point: they won’t let each other live
but they’re also the other’s biggest cheerleader
like when bambam got his first offer to model for gucci, lisa screamed for joy and ran an entire lap around her company, shouting about how bambam was gonna kill it
or when lisa first got accepted into her company, and bambam furiously flailed his arms while screaming because he was so happy for her
and bambam is actually the reason you two meet
you were originally his makeup artist, and you loved working with him, there was never a dull moment
especially when one of his friends were with him, then you knew that it was gonna be wild
and while you really did like working with him.... you kinda wanted to try working with female models for once
just because their makeup seemed a little more complex and allowed for a little more creative styles, and you always liked to challenge yourself
bambam totally understood too, because he knew you were skilled, and he wanted you to be able to show it a little more
so he was like “i have this friend, i’ll let you borrow her for a day and you can try any look you want on her!”
you: “is that okay for you to say without ask-”
bambam: “COMPLETELY”
lucky for him, lisa was fine with it, or else he would of been chased down to the ends of the earth
sometimes, when you don’t feel like going anywhere, you just call lisa over to your house and the two of you marathon netflix while eating takeout
and people are kinda shocked to hear that this happens pretty often, because… a model/dancer…. and a makeup artist…. we would have thought you two would be more active…. and glamorous
but no, that’s bambam’s job, you two are pretty simple people
SPEAKING OF BAMBAM
the first time all three of you meet up together, he does this weird eyebrow wiggle that makes lisa groan and complain about him being too weird in front of her significant other
and it’s really chill, bambam is generally an easygoing person when it comes to these things (even though he’s extra in every other aspect)but when lisa gets up to go to the bathroom real quick, bambam leans forward and is like “please take really good care of her. she's been my best friend since we were really little, and i know you’re a good person, but i just want to know that she’ll never be hurt, y’know?”
you nod and tell him you understand, and promise him that you’ll never hurt lisa
very composed on the outside, but on the inside you’re like crying, not because you're upset or anything like that, but because…. bambam is trusting you with his childhood friend…. you’re…. so honored
the rest of bp start to adore you as well cause you're dating their baby
you basically gained three new moms, and when you point out to rose that she's the same age as lisa, she puts you on time out for sassing your mother
you play along with it and lisa’s heart EXPLODES, LIKE WHY ARE YOU SO CUTE
claims that you’re bad for her heart, but also the best thing for her
cheesy pickup lines at odd hours in the morning
“babe, on a scale of 1 to 10, you’d be a ten, because i’m the one you need.”
“lisa, you said it wrong, you’re supposed to say i’m a nine.”
“but then i’d be lying.”
“lisa PLS.”
concept: lisa requesting you as her makeup artist for a runway show she's attending, and happily going up to her other model friends and introducing you as her “super perfect and beautiful significant other that i love with all my heart” and the other models telling her they figured it was you because lisa LOVES to talk about you any time she can.
