every day I think about the fact that mobius probably stood in front of the mirror in his room at the tva or whatever and was so proud looking at himself because he genuinely thought he was doing the right thing and making the world better and it absolutely devastates me

if you think about it , loki's forte is being safe . it's why he always has seemingly foolproof plans . it's why , even in heated moments , he takes a moment to analyze the situation . it's why he didn't want to take a chance with killing kang . and , i think , it's why he fell for sylvie . sylvie is him . sylvie is safe , or so he thought .

mobius is anything but safe . he immediately puts his trust in a dangerous variant . he goes with said variant to an apocalypse on a hunch , he runs after variant in a supermarket , apparently ready to race headfirst into something dangerous . he runs with a half - assed plan he knows full well he may not get out of , and he faces the person who ' killed ' him , knowing he may well be killed for real this time . mobius is not the safe option , and loki chooses him over and over anyways .

so yeah their dynamic makes me a little emOTIONAL

imagine when loki gets back to the right timeline , the one our mobius is in , mobius sees him he just runs to him and takes him by the shoulders and he considers lecturing him because what in the hell did he do to the sacred timeline and he was worried but he sees loki look down at him with those sad eyes and say " mobius , I - " and before loki can even finish mobius has him crushed in a hug and is murmuring " it's okay , loki , it's okay . " even though literally nothing is okay but maybe for the first time in his life loki realizes he had it all wrong and mobius is his person and he was mobius' and for a few seconds at least they were safe and happy in each other's embrace and
