How can Alan be both OVERPOWERED and UNDERPOWERED like he has the ability to rewrite reality (overpowered) but he has so many limitations and rules he follows (that he may or may not impose upon himself) and with him forgetting what he writes and his desperation causes him to create horrifying shit to escape this it doesn’t really help him that much (underpowered) he’s such a mess I love him

Dude is literally so tortured artist like he’s an alcoholic and is self destructing before the events of the first game while in the events of the first game has his writing come to reality and he has to doom himself to a hellish dimension so his wife could escape from said hellish dimension!

Dude sets so many limitations on himself and is constantly suffering in the hellish dimension!

so 417 days have passed since i began the revenge of the sith page-a-day read-through, which means that it is now finished. i have so many thoughts about that book, having lived inside it for so long. it's better than i remembered and anticipated. i have such deep respect as an amateur star wars author for all the things stover accomplished with it, the choices he made stylistically and structurally, with the blessing and guidance of lucas (e.g. the dragon anakin's heart is from his fear, not his anger). stover's personal knowledge of martial arts and obvious awareness of buddhist philosophy, mixed with his education in classical greek theater, in service of the potent, latent homoeroticism in the tragic narrative of obi-wan and anakin, it all combines in an intoxicating alchemy into a star wars novel unlike any other. it enriches the movie in a way that is rare among novelizations. it's not just describing what's on screen, it's embroidering it and illuminating it with gold. the sum of the two media, the visuals and music from the film mixed with the lyrical prose together synthesize into one of my favorite piece of art, something emergent between the two and transcending them both, and i'll never get over it.

He gives off ‘was heavily bullied for being weird as a kid so he tried to be ‘normal’ but photography was an outlet for him to express himself but he still wanted to be considered ‘normal’ so he took a job as a war photographer but was still considered odd due to being fascinated by his photographs he took on the battlefield but being on the battlefield also traumatized him as well which made him come off as even MORE odd due to his conflicting emotions and after he lost his eye and saw the photo of the soldier dying he kind of snapped and became a murderer’ vibes

I don’t think they should’ve been forgiven that quickly. As for another chance… I don’t know. I would like for them to make an effort to get to know Branch, to be there for him. I would like for Branch to be hesitant about it.

I don’t know if he would ever be able to forgive them, maybe one day, but not anytime soon. I don’t think their relationship will ever be the same. They may put in the work and get to know Branch, but they weren’t there for Branch. They missed his childhood years and his teen years and some of his adult years. Like yeah, they may be Branch’s brothers through blood, and he may refer to them as his brothers because of that, but emotionally? Yeah I don’t think he would feel that connection. Maybe Branch would feel like they were akin to a distant relative than to a brother.

I do get why Branch may want to cut them out of his life for good, though. Honestly at the end of the day, it’s up to his brothers to make amends with him, not him to make amends with them, because he WAS A LITERAL BABY!!!!

I really hope if they make another show and feature Brozone that they have Branch’s brothers approach him instead of him approaching them

personally the argument scene makes it a no for me Branch giving them a second chance is understandable but giving them a third chance after they threw it back in his face.

and mocked and belittled him for having perfectly valid feelings is where I feel they crossed a line of no return.

sorta makes it sadly ironic when Branch sings the lines "" I'm already up but you lift me Higher "" in Better Place when his Bros have literally done nothing but the opposite in the film prior to this scene.

at that point they deserved to be cut off frankly even if they did apologise and beg for forgiveness which they didn't all they did was agree to let Branch Bail them out of trouble.

its just toxic and isn't really something you should forgive over and over again otherwise it will just keep happening its how people in the real world get stuck in emotionally abusive relationships.

or why children never speak out about their abusive families because its been drilled into them that this behaviour is normal and acceptable.

not that this is exactly the same but its a fair comparison imo.

anyway I have some other stuff lined up for the near future that isn't Bro zone Related so I promise there will be some variety on this Blog pretty soon it won't all just be Bro zone lol 😂😂😂😂
