"All of These Deaths because One Boy Decided It Would Be Best To Swallow a Finger": SEASON 2 EPISODE 20
WARNING: SPOILERS! READING ANY FURTHER MAY PUT YOU AT RISK OF SPOILERS, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
CONTEXT: Sukuna had just committed a mass murder in his battle against the beast, Mahogara, and has just converted back to Yuji. This is a deep dive into Yuji's guilt, and what was going through his head BEFORE HE WAS CONSOLED by Toji.
"Sukuna killed so many. So I have to save that many more people. But I couldn't! I'm just a murderer! What I thought was my conviction, was just an excuse I made for myself!"
Sukuna doesn't care. He doesn't care for what he destroys or the lives he takes and Yuji takes on Sukuna's sin (in the form of guilt) BECAUSE Sukuna doesn't himself. Yuji takes on his sins, as an attempt to right Sukuna's wrongs - balance the scales in a sense. Because if Yuji doesn't, the scale tips to the "wrong" side and Yuji wouldn't be able to live with himself.
He took on the sins that Sukuna committed. He blamed himself for all the deaths that occurred (by calling himself "a murderer"). He probably thought, "I should've killed myself when I had the chance. All of this happened because one boy decided to swallow a finger. All of this happened because I was selfish enough to live." TRAGIC.
Yuji takes on Sukuna's sin as his. Whether or not it was a conscious decision to do so, I believe he does this to feel guilt as a form of taking accountability for allowing Sukuna/himself to live.
To top it off, his body houses a curse that constantly taunts his view that lives are valuable and precious. I believe he takes on Sukuna's sin to feel guilt and in a way, rival the views and taunts of Sukuna, regarding the lives he takes and humans in general. He allows himself to feel guilt so that the guilt acts as a clear distinction between himself and Sukuna. He does it because he NEEDS to know that he is not Sukuna and Sukuna is not him, that what Sukuna does, is not his doing and that what he does, compensates for Sukuna's sins and justifies his decision to live.

“Rue Bennett : [voice-over] Okay, this is gonna sound sick because I'm actually in a lot of pain right now due to the sheer weight and strain on my bladder, but, man, does this make me miss opiates because your bladder is trained from a very early age not to pee whenever it wants to, it needs permission from your brain. And when you're really high, your brain gets a little... lazy. Too lazy to say something. It's probably why so many drug addicts die on toilets. The truth is, the last time I left this room, I didn't have the best experience.
Rue Bennett : [voice-over] The thought of having to stand up, exert 172 muscles each step for 35 feet just so I can sit on cold porcelain and piss out toxins over and over again for the rest of my life makes the whole concept of living feel like one long, sadistic joke, but the absolute worst part of depression is that even though you know you're depressed, you're unable to stop yourself from getting worse. Analysing a reddit post because... why not?

Okay, so, firstly I’d like to say I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE WHOLE RELATIONSHIP OF THE OP AND HIS [EX/SOON-TO-BE EX] WIFE. I am merely commenting on his (first few) posts and yeah.
Secondly, these are only INITIAL thoughts after seeing the first few posts. I acknowledge the OP is now going to therapy.
After reading the first post he made, I was already done. He CLEARLY didn’t respect his wife. He not only allowed his mother AND HIMSELF to overstep her (and his) boundary(ies) but he also didn’t respect her space. “I tried to kiss her on the way out to drop off our daughter before work and she just moved out of my way.” WHAT. After his wife moved into the guest bedroom, didn’t he think that she wanted space?! SO WHY ON EARTH WOULD SHE WANT A KISS. He also didn’t respect his wife enough to uphold her wishes, but instead put his mother’s over her own. Why did he keep asking the readers for advice on how to save their marriage and why did he offer counseling when what she asked for was a divorce? At that point it cannot be saved. It is already over, the ship has SUNK. He clearly didn’t respect her or her boundaries.
Also, the AUDACITY of this man to ask if there was someone else after she asked for a divorce. Like he wasn’t the reason she wanted a divorce. It felt like he was trying to blame anyone but HIMSELF for the divorce. On top of that, he had the nerve to say he didn’t see how it was inappropriate to ask his wife if there was someone else. IT’S OBVIOUSLY BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE YOU’RE TRYING TO BLAME YOUR WIFE/ SOMEONE ELSE FOR THE DIVORCE. It looks like you’re trying to find any other reason other than yourself to blame. There is a serious lack of accountability here.
The cherry on top was when this man had the nerve to ask his wife what she said to his mother during their altercation - already choosing sides with no context. Already making her out to be the antagonist.
But in all seriousness, I applaud OP for recognizing he needed help and went to therapy. I also have to applaud him for being strong enough to call the cops on his mother, and taking action against her as well as finally being able to respect his ex-wife enough to let her go.

My 2 cents on the Shooting Stars kdrama Africa scene
WARNING: !!!SPOILERS!!!
First off, screw Choi Young-woo, Lee Soo-hyun and ANYONE ELSE involved in production of the Africa scene. Except the actors, they were just trying to make a bag. Otherwise, screw everyone involved in the process of writing,directing, producing and checking it before they confirmed it to say it was good to f*cking go.
WHAT.
Rather than looking to be accurate and researching and informing yourself on what Africa is truly like, you instead, search up the corniest, stereotypical African clips you can find because you probably thought you could half-ass this project in the research aspect because you know sooo much. Plot twist: you don’t know sh1t. JACK-SH!T. ADDING ON TO YOUR IGNORANCE, you use the only thing you actually know about Africa. That the setting of The Lion King is in Africa. “This is going to be so fire!” you thought. So you typed it out. You ‘perfected’ it. Then you gave it to the director’s bum-a*s.
Then, he thought it was fire. And he brought this project to life. Hired the right (black) actors. Exploiting and disrespecting their roots. And together, the room filled to the brim with ignorant and idiotic people in positions of power, brought this god-forsaken episode to life.
Do you know what the craziest part is though? This is the usual. Nobody but the africans blinked an eye. Nobody was shook to the core by their grotesque ignorance but africans. Nobody who let that episode air thought it was wrong. It’s what sickens me the most.
These people had the opportunity to shed light on the problematic, on-going stereotype surrounding Africa. They could’ve used their platform to inform their target audience (who are also mainly the ones who are unaware and ignorant to what Africa is really like and think the stereotype is true - the koreans.). Instead, they fed into it. They fed into the stereotype that was used to degrade Africans for so long. Continued to make the people think Africa is poor. Well guess what. They aren’t. They’re rich in so many other ways that don’t even have to include money (for e.g CULTURE). Now more people are going to believe the stereotype is true because they trust the media they watch to feed them with the correct information.
And, okay, maybe you weren’t obligated to feed your viewers with the right, accurate information, and maybe you didn’t have to use your platform to speak on these matters. So you could’ve done the next best thing. Kept Africa’s name out of your mouth. If you can’t speak on a country and the people in it respectfully, and accurately, here’s an idea, don’t speak on it at all.
It was only a click away. Instead of searching for ‘The Lion King soundtrack’ and ‘Poor children in Africa without water’, you could’ve searched for the actual truth.
You made him seem like some kind of saviour, giving those black children water. Cheering his name because they’re so grateful. It was so disgusting. I couldn’t watch the whole thing. Africans aren’t just some poor people who need to be saved.
Side note: Although it might not have ONLY been the africans who noticed, it is mainly them. They are the majority. Also, I AM WELL AWARE that koreans aren’t the ONLY people who believe the stereotype is true, but they are a part of that group and they are the target audience.

Guys I’m currently reading ‘Corrupt’ by Penelope Douglas and...
I’m skeptical (I’ve only read 138 pages) and I don’t know... I’m not really into the whole rapey description of Erika Fane. Like at first, it was like “really, you think I’m that hot *lip bite and stares up and down at screen*?”(bcz my sick a*s loves to act like main characters in books) but when Michael’s bro’s do it, I’m super uncomfy. Except Kai, he can GET IT. I’ll make an update later in the book or full review when I’m done. The only thing that keeps me reading is TikTok quoting the spicy moments *wink wink, nudge nudge*...
UPDATE: I aborted the mission. I stopped reading.

Tropes in (Kpop) FF's that I hate/dislike - Pt. 3
The "kpop exes in real life" trope - Should I get you a plunger? Because your a*s loves to bring up old sh1t. (Bye, I really thought I ate 💀). But seriously, stop. They're human beings and they've moved on. These authors LOVE to rub these Kpop idol's exes in their faces. Aren't you tired? Are you not exhausted? That takes stamina. That takes dedication. That takes consistency. Is it not exhausting? I get tired just seeing a post or tiktok about it but YOU? You have enough energy and delusional brain cells to make a whole wattpad story.
The "neglected wife has had enough of her sh1tty husband ( and tries to leave him but then one (forced/ "passionate") kiss is enough for her to forgive him" trope. Suddenly she's crumbling, her strength to leave him falters. Suddenly, she 'feels the love' and she can forgive him because he can obviously change for the better because of that one kiss. It's called 'manipulation' sis. Girl, bye.
The "manipulative boyfriend is crying to stop their partner from leaving because he's a piece of sh1t and realises how much he actually loves and needs her as she's about to leave/ after she's left and gets her back (because she's weak in the knees) OR because he slapped her 'accidentally' and she locks herself in the bathroom (scared, shocked, angry and crying) and he's behind the door (crying) and that's all it took for y/n to open the door with her arms wide open and forgive him and comfort HIM (???)" trope. You're done, Y/N. You're done.
The "fall in love with the handsome vampire who kisses me in my sleep every night without me knowing and kidnapped me in the street to take me all for himself and I don't have a choice" trope. Need I say more?

Okay. Firstly, WTF?? How do these authors come up with this sh1t? Secondly, WTF??!! Sexual harassment. Just because you said "it felt really nice", Y/N, you still didn't consent. You're really only okay with it because they're "hot asf". But if you woke up to some creepy, ugly, greasy male kissing up on you, you're going to scream and yell for help, so PLEASE. Spare me that BS. Also, stop glorifying kidnappers. 1. It's a really scary experience that you know you would be screaming, crying and throwing up in if (God forbid) it ever happened to you. 2. Falling in love? With... your kidnapper? ... Stockholmes syndrome, baby. That's all imma say.
A note for ALL the parts I've made: I'm well aware that these are FICTIONAL WRITINGS, but come on. Where and how do some of these authors come up with such descriptive and problematic scenarios? And they typed it all out (spending HOURS on it), read it, re-read it, edited it, read it 1-2 times more and posted it thinking "yeah, this is the one. This is hot. This is sexy AF." You're telling me, you're not concerned as long as it's all fictional?? I'm side-eyeing you too.

Fanfiction tropes I dislike/ hate - pt.2
1)The step-dad/brother trope. Need I say more? That whole kink in general is problematic and uncomfortable for obvious reasons.
2) The 'My arranged husband hates me' trope. Um... yeah. Usually it's like he hates her at first, then she starts acting distant after she overhears him talking ill of her behind her back or his ungrateful a*s yells at her for doing something wrong, and then he starts acting all cushy and 'cute', crying to make her feel sorry for him and telling her that he's sorry. Usually his reason would be that it was because of work and sh1t. Lame. Problematic. Cringey.
3)The 'bad boy with anger issues kisses me (by force)'. I really don't think I need to say much as to why I hate it and why it's bad. Firstly, no consent. And usually the readers are like 'that was sooo hot' and they like it because it's their fav and their hot. But irl, those types of boys in your school are oily with greasy hair and a ticking time-bomb that nobody in the school actually likes. Your actual response to 'that guy' in your school irl would be "there he goes again" and you'd find him annoying. Now imagine that scenario playing out irl. That greaseball just kissed you without permission and you're telling me you'd find it hot? No. You wouldn't. You'd be like "SA!"
4) (When it's done wrong) The author's note. And no, not the type when the author is giving you some important info. that is relevant to the story, the type when they're commenting on what's going on in the story. They'd be acting like they didn't write it themselves. Like they didn't know what was going to happen and what's going to happen next. They'd be acting like their characters can hear their response or their characters know the author's reaction through the screen (which sometimes, they can, that's when it's good). When it's done wrong, it's just annoying. When the characters don't know that the author is talking to them, it's just awkward. I SAID WHAT I SAID.

RATING the characters of Bridgerton (s2)
WARNING: SPOILERS!!
1) Lady Danbury - 10/10. What can I say, she's that b1tch in so many ways. Queen sh1t.
2) Daphne - 10/10. She is amazing, for lack of a better word. She could see through Anthony and Kate's pathetic facade. TBH though, they made it way too obvious. But she did something about what it is she saw and tried to convince Anthony to reconsider. She ATE.
3)Marina - a very generous 5/10. Her character just wasn't giving this time around. Probably because she wasn't the main focus but I just really didn't like her attitude towards Colin. It felt unnecessary. But shoutout to her for pointing out the he's had someone who cares for him all along. She pointed him in the direction of Penelope.
4) Colin Bridgerton - A hard 5/10. The ONLY reason I even gave him a 5 was because he 'protected' Penelope regarding the new Lord Featherington's schemes. But then he turned around and said that he wouldn't court her even in his bro's wildest dreams. Because first off, fvck him. She is a prize, and his dumbass can't even see that. His trashy ass kept leading her on halfway through the season AND I just don't respect his character.
5) Kate - 10/10. First off, she is GORGEOUS. She puts others before her (a feature in her character that puts her in a difficult situation/ position many times) but it's something in her that makes me adore her even more. I take siblings very seriously. And they did a wonderful job with her character and storyline. They showed she was willing to put aside her feelings for a man, for her sister. It was just beautiful.
6)Edwina - 10/10 because the queen loves her, she's so elegant and graceful and filled with beauty. Not just facial beauty (though she IS stunning), but her personality, it's beautiful as well. I am so happy she got a happy ending.
7) Eloise - There's nothing for her here.
8) Lady Violet Bridgerton - 9/10. She's a good mother. She too, as a good mother would, was able to see that he wasn't really in love with Edwina. And she did actually do something to make him reconsider as well.
9) Lady Portia Featherington - 10/10. Now I know what you're thinking. How does she get a higher rating than Lady effing Bridgerton?! Hear me out before you get all rowdy. Although she did make her daughter marry her cousin, and called her dumb and spineless ( in the sense that she is breedable and easy to manipulate) she made her do it for the sake of her and all her daughters. The whole season, really, she was just her looking out for her family. She really loves them and she loves them so much that she went to such lengths. In the end, she fvcked over the new Lord Featherington (putting aside her - what I think may be- feelings for him) and successfully protected her daughters. I think my favourite line of hers ever on the show is her response to Lord Featherington when he said "You are cruel." And she immediately responded with "I am a mother". I loved her character so much more when she said that. And that is because she aligns with me and my life and my views and what I admire. Good mothers willing to protect their children. No. Matter What. She's a bad bitch for letting Lord featherington think he was manipulating her (completely fallen for him) when really, it was her pulling the strings the entire time.
10)Lord Featherington - 0/10. He tried to manipulate Lady Featherington and he never even cared about her daughters, A.K.A his cousins!
11) Anthony - 1000/10. Great tension scenes and, might I say it, great sex scenes (and no, I'm not talking about his amazing sex game, I'm talking about how passionate it was and just... yeah. The girls that get it, get it.). Speaking of the tension, he was really great this season, because last season, all I could think was how he was just a fvck-up, who couldn't keep his pants on and get his sh1t together. I did not like him AT ALL. But now...now? Now I'm biting my lip and sweeping my hair behind my ear. I'm calling him... attractive. I'm.... yeah, y'all get it.
12)The Queen - I LOVE HER. Y'all can't say nothing to me, argue with your mom, not me. I love everything about her. Her sassiness. The way she knows her status and the way she uses it. I love her posh lifestyle and how tender she is towards someone when they've broken through her walls (specifically Edwina and Lady Danbury). Also, how cute is her and Lady Danbury's friendship? Lowkey goals.

Things/Tropes I hate in fanfictions (!!TW!!)
-The “he was treating her this way because of stress from work”. Girl, STFU, respectfully. For all the youngins, you’re being conditioned to understand that work is a viable excuse to be mistreated by your spouse or partner. It absolutely isn’t. They may need some space to calm down, but starting arguments, being rude, outbursts and (sometimes) putting their hands on you is unacceptable.
-The pregnancy/ abortion trope: I don’t want to speak too much on this, but it isn’t about the whole ‘pro-life - pro-choice’ debate. On the topic of pregnancy, sometimes, I feel like y/n as a character isn’t fit or ready to be a parent. When she’s been cheated on and they break up and they find out later, it feels like y/n doesn’t want the BF to be in the child’s life just because she’s hurt and wants to spite him. She’d only be thinking about herself and how to get back at him because she’s so blinded with rage and hurt. But what she really should be doing is focusing on the child and her parenting, so that the child doesn’t get childhood trauma and difficult relationships that they may be the problem in (sometimes) and mess up another person’s life. On the topic of abortion, it is a hard thing to go through, and sometimes the authors make it seem like y/n gets an abortion to spite their ex after they find out and want to keep it. It’s sickening tbh.
-Psycho boyfriend trope: if any of y’all (who are sane) have read them, you’re scarred. It’s basically just torture, sometimes with a little sex thrown in there to try and ‘thrill’ us. NO. Mans is cutting up your whole body and you’d be like “ooh yes, I love it DADDY!!!”?No. You wouldn’t, you’d be like “Ouch, motherf*ucker! That really f*cking hurt, get tf off me rn.” next.
-The ‘abuse family and my boyfriend defends and saves me’/ ‘abusive boyfriend’ trope. Need I say anything? No? Great.

RATING THE MAIN CHARACTERS of the “Brothers” (2009) movie
WARNING: !!POTENTIAL SPOILERS!!
1) Hank: 5/10
The entire movie, all I could think was STFU PLEASE. One moment you’re a hothead and a dick. The next you’re a hot-head and a dick because you’re dealing with grief and loss in that way, so you pick fights with your only other son(at the time) who you just can’t stand because he is such a fvck up. You’re a terrible father. All these excuses, but not a single one could actually cover your a*s.
2) Elsie: 10/10
Sis was holding the house down. Grieving, normal, everyday fights, she was there, providing her love and comfort. She deserves the world.
3) Older kid( whatever tf her name is) : 0/10
girl, i would’ve given you a negative, if my reasons weren’t just you being a kid. I am not a parent. I don’t have the patience for children like her mom did. All I could think was she was being an absolute brat who needs an ass-whooping. But that just shows I’m unfit to be a parent rn.
4) Grace: -10/10
You find out your husband is dead, and after grieving for a few weeks or months(not really sure of the timeline),you kiss his brother?! Then when he comes back you tell him and you try to dilute the news with “I missed you.” It’s giving ‘you know I love you and i would never intentionally hurt you. It’s kinda on you because I thought you were dead and you didn’t come back sooner...” I WAS NOT FEELING IT.
Then, when the fam is having dinner and that fuck-up of a brother brings his ‘friend’ over, you’ve got the nerve, the AUDACITY to look uncomfortable and jealous?! Fvck you !
AND THEN, when he was still trying to get himself right at the mental hospital (or something), you came to visit him, just to demand and threaten him to tell you what happened while he was in Afghanistan, when (as I observed) he wasn’t ready, or he’d never see you again. I get it sort of. But man is going through trauma, you certainly didn’t help by cheating on him and you certainly aren’t a psychologist. It gave “if you really love me, you would tell me” BYE.
I mean, would it have killed you to, I don’t know, not cheat on him. Especially with his brother. Maybe have a little... consideration? Infact, has she ever once said, “ I’m sorry I cheated on you (with your brother)”? I think the fvck not.
The only reason i didn’t give her -1000 is because she actually stayed with her husband and attempted to work things out and actually be concerned about him.
5) Dick (Tommy): -1000/10
Bro. That is your brother’s wife. Your brother’s wife. Have a little respect for the dead bro. I don’t think I’ve ever heard you take accountability and say you’re sorry for kissing his wife. All I heard you do was play the brother card whenever he was going nuts to get him to listen to you and calm him down because you know he lowkey hated you. F you.
6) Sam: 8/10
I’m so sorry. There’s no way it could’ve been easy. Finding out your wife cheated after basically killing a man to get to her and the kids. You were losing it. Slowly, but surely. You didn’t want to acknowledge that. You wanted to numb it and push it to the back of your head, by going back out into the field. You felt you didn’t have anyone to talk to, that nobody would understand. It took a toll on you. And that affected the way you spoke and acted around the kids and your brother and your wife. You made your kids hate you unintentionally. Maybe even traumatised them.
You recognised though, in those few seconds you were about to take your life in, that you needed to get help and that the people around you were gonna help you get it and help you through it. That I respect you majorly for. Cuz these sh1theads around you could never. I also respect you because you killed a man to see your family. I’ve never had a husband and kids.
That’s why I’m saying this now, in my own shoes, as an inexperienced person who isn’t in your shoes, that I couldn’t imagine killing someone to get to them. Especially someone I knew, loved as a brother and friend, someone whose wife and kid I know I’ll have to face. Respect to you man. All of it.
All in all, this movie is beautiful. The plot, the acting, the emotion, I loved it all.

I’m overflowing with so much rage that I’m silent - the altercation.
My mother has been breathing down my fucking neck the whole f*cking week to give my old phone to my younger sister. I’d informed her MANY times that I can’t do that because I have photos on there that I don’t want her to see because I know she’d look at my photos at some point.
Today, my younger sister came into my room, with an attitude and I was automatically unwilling to assist in whatever she was going to ask of me. “So, can I get your phone.” She said. “What do you mean?” I said. “I’m confused” She said. “Why?” I said. “What do you mean “why”?” She asks. “How are you confused?” I ask. She asks to repeat the whole conversation. So we do. Then I clarify. Earlier on today, she asked when I could give my phone. I informed her that I couldn’t because of my photos. And i reminded her of that little interaction in that moment. “What would I do with your photos?” She asks, with a tone I really didn’t f*cking like.
In my head, I was saying things. “Don’t act like you’re this different person. I know the type of person you are, you nosy b*stard. Don’t act like you’re some new, different type of beast. You’re the same old h*e. Like everyone here.
So I say,” You know you would look at my photos, quit playing.” She starts huffing and puffing... “Well, can you do anything about it?” She says, trying to suppress her very obvious rudeness. “No, unless I pick my photos one-by-one and I don’t have time for that because there are over a thousand.” Referring to the book in front of me because I WAS STUDYING.
“So it’s not because there isn’t an option, you just don’t want to do it” Undermining the time I have and her rudeness rising steadily. “It’s not that I don’t want to, it’s that I don’t have tim- Can you go call mom.” I say.
huffing and puffing she leaves to call my mother because I wanted her to tell the both of us what her plan was that she said she was going to make. She comes in the room. I tell her everything that just happened. Younger sister cuts me off, saying,”The way that you’re saying it makes it sound like I don’t acknowledge that you don’t have the time.”
Immediately, I was like,”That’s because you weren’t.” But i listened to what she said. She changed what she said and immediately i correct her, saying what she actually said. She didn’t even try to defend herself or lie her way out this time. More so, she didn’t get the chance to because my mother cut this mini altercation off, clarifying that it isn’t what she came for.
She asked me if I could do anything and I said I couldn’t do anything until Wednesday. Even then, schedule was tight and I was doing what I can. My ungrateful little c*nt of a sister says,”So you can’t do anything until Wednes-” I cut her off, overwhelmingly annoyed at her ingratitude. “Yes.” I say, very abruptly. “So my tests are just supposed to be postponed until Wednes-” “Yes.” I say again, nodding my head.
My mother acknowledges my tight schedule and the sacrifices I’m making with just Wednesday and hints to my sister to cut that sh*t out.She proposes something for the meantime.
She said she would ask my oldest sister to help, who apparently is a technician (but does law) after fixing my mother’s phone problem, ONCE in 2016.
