watching Scar’s recent hermitcraft episode, he comes across the statue of Grian and says something along the lines of ‘And he has a mullet! Since when has Grian had a mullet’ to which I was reminded of my horrible knowledge that actually, Grian does have a mullet
following the definition of a mullet being a hair style thats shorter at the front and sides but long at the back and generally stops at the neck(?), minecraft skins dont really have necks but they have an area that reads as one. The underside of the back of the head (here on Steve)
Tumblr media
So following that and the definition of a mullet, Im going to say that any mc skin that has hair that covers that area but doesnt go any lower or extend to both other undersides of the head has a mullet. which lead me on an hour long journey investigating the skin of every hermit to see who actually has a mullet
Behold, the hermitcraft mullet tier list
Tumblr media
(Note: joe hill’s current muppet skin has a mullet but its not the one shown so I didnt add it)

I think one of my favorite interactions I’ve had in the witchcraft community is talking to a girl who’s basically my sister at this point about which card Jack Skellington would be in a tarot deck.
I had known her for at least twelve years at that point, which is almost how long she had been practicing, but never knew she was a witch. I had just seen a piece of NBC merch in Disneyland that used tarot card motifs and we started talking about it.
Kinda wish I knew she was a witch a long time ago. But I know it would have been hard for my baby evangelical Christian brain to handle lol
We also decided that the fool would suit him best. (Though the king works for his position, I also got hanged man vibes too)

Something I’ve learned as a witch is how to read candles.
I use candles a lot on my alters and in my spells, since they can be cheap and inconspicuous, which has taught me how to read the energy and “vibe” of their flames.
I, right now, have five candles on my alter. Two to my patron deities, one as an offering to the angels, one as an offering to Hades and Persephone, and a seven day candle. Each burns differently and, regardless of if I cut the wick or not, I can usually know what to expect.
I’ve learned that God really likes his candle. Its flame is always dancing and moving, full of life.
Apollo likes his too. Even when I’ve had to use placeholder candles, he’s liked them well enough. (Except for one that wouldn’t ever stay lit but I changed it pretty quick.)
The angels burn pretty steady. Nothing fancy. They are thankful but understand that I don’t work with them much.
Hades and Persephone seem to like theirs too. It burns bright and tall but doesn’t dance.
And my spell candle burns steady. It seems to be working pretty well.
Overall, I’ve found flame reading to be a useful skill and easy to remember. Of course, I can be wrong in my readings, everyone gets things wrong once in a while. But I find candle reading to be really intuitive.

Your local forest cryptid here to give y'all a few reminders:
• Christians didn't steal everything from pagans.
• Just because the Romans did it doesn't mean we should do it, too.
• Celtic is a very broad term that consists of what are now multiple different countries, and every one of them are different in culture. They are not a monolith. Don't treat them as a monolith.

This feels like a big deal to me so I’m gonna post it here.
I found a metaphysical/witchcraft shop and actually went there! I went both wanting to see what it was like and trying to find a crystal for my friend. (I got her Blue Goldstone)
The store was pretty cool. There was a lot of incense and candles by the door so I was hit with a wall of fragrance. Funnily enough, I saw a classmate there too.
The store seemed cool and I talked to the owner. She’s a very open lady and when I asked her how to pick a crystal for my friend she said to pick one up and see if it matched her energy or reminded me of her. That’s why I chose Blue Goldstone. The color is her favorite and it reminds me of space.
When I was asking about books she mentioned a website about witchcraft stuff and for the life of me I can’t remember the name. I think it starts with an E, but again I can’t remember.
Anyways, she mentioned there was another shop a few blocks down so I’ll probably try going there next.
Happy Holidays!

Weekly reminder that when someone calls you weird (pejorative), it is perfectly acceptable to say YES YOU BORING MOTHERFUCKER I AM with the entirety of your chest and laugh maniacally as you execute your flawlessly flamboyant exit.
Your weirdness is beautiful and those who lack sufficient courage or depth to display their own preternatural plumage are right to be unsettled in the presence of your eldritch greatness.
Be weird out loud. Do it at the top of your lungs, with all your heart, as hard as you can.
And let them squirm.

I made a sigil to keep in my apartment to prevent dishonesty and encourage people to be genuine in my space and let me tell ya…
It’s a god damn double edged sword and I wasn’t ready.
Universe, I take it back.

What do I love about Joanns? They almost always have some sort of witchcraft book. I’ll go there with my mom and hide in the back reading the questionable witchy books till we leave.
They’re probably not the best, and the one today had very questionable advice, but it’s nice to consume witchcraft stuff on some level

A while ago I was taught this spell to find things. I’ve gotten better at using the spell, and I often find things quickly.
I used it tonight to find my brother’s book and hat (since he needed them for something). When looking for the book I kept getting pulled in all these different directions. But my brother, since I taught it to him, got pulled towards his dresser. Ten minutes later I gave up on the book and started asking for the hat. Guess where it was. The dresser.
The kid is a better witch than me /hj

🔥 Fire Safety Tips — For Witches 🌞
I just want to share some of my tips, as someone who has been practicing witchcraft for almost 20 years, for working with fire (as it relates to safety):
🔥 Buy a cauldron : I use mine for burning herbs, incense, candles, paper, fabric etc. I have one with just salt in it that I use to burn my small tapered candles and incense. It’s one of the most useful tools in my practice.
“Can Salt Burn? No, salt does not burn. It can melt at an extremely high temperature (800°C/1472°F), but this is unlikely to happen in everyday surroundings. Salt is made up of sodium and chloride, which come together to form a highly reactive bond.”
🔥 Don’t burn candles for more than 4 hours : Even if you’re in the room the entire time, it’s recommended that you don’t burn a candle for longer than 4 hours.
“If you burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time, carbon will collect on the wick, and your wick will begin to "mushroom." This can cause the wick to become unstable, the flame to get too large, your candle to smoke, and soot to be released into the air and around your candle container.”
🔥 When burning things like paper, in your cauldron, fill the bottom with sand first : I’ve found that it helps avoid any flames from getting too high or out of control.
“Because its primary constituent is silica (SiO2), which is already oxidized, sand cannot burn. This is why it works as an effective firefighting method, which can extinguish fires by cutting off the oxygen supply and absorbing flammable liquids.”
🔥 Make sure that you triple check that nothing in the immediate area of any open flame is combustible or flammable : This means don’t burn something on a plate that’s sitting on an alter cloth lol. Or don’t spray anything into the air (like perfume or air freshener) around an open flame.
Be safe witches :)

QUESTION FOR MY FELLOW WITCHES!!!
When you feel draw to an area/thing, what does it feel like for you.
When I was in 7th grade my youth pastor at my church told us to choose these little booklets. He told us to choose the one we felt most drawn to. For me that felt like a tug in my stomach and limbs.
I wanna know what other witches feel, and how it compares to me.
Luv y’all!!!!!!!!!

My parents have been cleaning and their discarded candles have been “mysteriously disappearing”.
So I lit a lost item spell. The candle said it had Lemon, Pomello (which is apparently like a grapefruit), mint, and sugar cane in it. It’s also green. So I didn’t bother dressing it. I also didn’t want to run in and out of the kitchen to get herbs.
I also learned about timing! And completely forgot about it and lit the candle lol. But if I don’t find my item by tomorrow I’ll light it again, and if not by Wednesday I’ll light it again. Just repeating that and looking. I’ll also light it on the waxing moon once it comes around.
Cross your fingers!
