When he died
Seems like he left behind
A mansion full of other people’s skulls
The odd thing is they never found his own
When he died
He somehow left behind
Strange symbols on the floor beneath his corpse
Investigators said the wood was scorched
When he died
They found so many scorppions inside
His bones
When he died
The statues of his missing children cried
What was later found to be his blood
When he died (on a dark and tormy night)
They telephones his wife (who reacted with delight)
But gradually her voice began to fade
To nothing and the laughing record played...
When he died
They found a message etched into his spine
That said, when he died
An endless age of untold nightmares would be nigh
And the blood would make the seas run red
When he died (on a dark and stormy night)
A nearby shed caught fire (it simply caught alight)
And when they cleared the charred wood from the ground
Inside they found a painting of a clown
He’d painted it when he was jsut a child
But scrawled upon the back
Was exactly when he died.

Well it would be weird not to reblog now
yknow ever since people realized tumblr isnt dead and have decided to flock here from twitter and tiktok ive seen a huge influx of people in fandom spaces who dont reblog anything. at all.
like, i used to have an art blog with 340 followers. not a ton but not a small amount either given how this website works with creators. and in my experience back then even the ones who only left likes still reblogged other things or at least posted their own stuff. literally the only empty blogs were clearly bots.
but on this New art blog, i've had so many people with fandom-specific headers and icons with actual usernames as urls and some kind of title or description, but have. Nothing. no posts. all they do is like things. and it's always public, too. their following list and their likes list.
and honestly all it makes me think is that these people are New and also don't know how tumblr works. how likes don't give exposure. not even in a "oh, i know it doesn't give exposure, but i'm still going to reblog anyways" way, but in a genuine honest to god straight up doesn't realize tumblr likes don't work like twitter's.
PLEASE please if you're from tiktok or twitter or whatever please reblog people's art both fandom and original if you like it!! and maybe actually pad out your blog's content in some way so people won't potentially see you as a bot and block you.
REBLOG ARTIST'S WORK. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY THEY GET ANY ATTENTION ON THIS WEBSITE OH MY GOD. PLEASE. I BEG of you

Why don't we talk more about how willing Ladybug was to just lie to Chat Noir for no reason in Ephemeral? Like, I can't find a way in which saying "hey buddy, Su Han wants me to know your identity but I don't think that's a good idea so I came up with this plan" instead of lying to him about wanting a mutual identity reveal and playing with his feelings would've endangered them in any way. For me, that was the biggest instance of Marinette's controlling and paranoid behaviour, and the one I'd be the most mad if it wasn't canonly considered abnormal. Thank god Strike Back addressed everything and we found out her behavious this entire season IS canonically unhealthy.

A weird miraculous theory I have is that gorilla is also a sentimonster, specifically created to bodyguard and drive Adrien around, stop him from running off and stuff. Just the way he never actually speaks and seems to always let Adrien do what he wants until specifically instructed not to gives me sentimonster vibes. And I think not entrusting Adrien to anyone but himself and his two ladies (to the point of basically making a mind-controlled slave be in charge instead of a real, hired person) is very much a Gabriel Move

Am I the only one that finds that interaction between Izuku and Shigaraki at the mall extremely funny. He's like "we're gonna have a little chat ;)" and you're like uh oh we're in trouble what's he gonna do but then they. Actually have a chat. Like Shiggy just whines about not being a popular villain and asks him, one of the people he hates most, his enemy, the one he wants to destroy, why people don't like him :/. And then Izuku actually helps him. Iconic

On one hand, I absolutely second this and can confirm by abusers I've faced in my life. On the other, I'm pretty sure I've seen the writers tweet about him not being abusive (or something of the sort), so once again, accidental depth...?
Maybe this is just being an older person who only peripherally looks at stuff in the fandom, watching the show in a popcorn-ey way. So I have quite a few years of experience sorting out a lot of abuse stuff well after the fact when I’ve had a lot of time to reflect (and get therapy).
But it feels like people don’t get Gabriel’s character at all? I’ve seen people complaining about how he vacillates between caring gestures and being a snidely whiplash style villain twirling a mustache and tying his kid to railroad tracks. Saying that the softer moments are a sign the writers are trying to make him seem sympathetic but they’re failing because the rest of the time he’s so mean! ”But it’s impossible, writers! You have to either make him a full evil cartoon villain or genuinely sympathetic and on a path of redemption! You can’t do both and show the evil behavior and a few rare caring gestures!”
Why does it have to be either or? And why is the combination of the two traits - extremely vile + minor caring gestures - so shocking from an abuser? My dad was abusive growing up and he’d vacillate rapidly between love bombing the family and giving them positive attention so he could pat himself on the back and pretend to be a good father and husband. Then he’d turn around and act so evil (beating my mother black and blue in front of us, attacking his kids etc etc) he should’ve grown a mustache just to twirl it.
I feel like people criticizing this rapid vacillation, this alternating between weak gestures of seeming to care and being the absolute fucking worst, don’t get it’s fairly common abuser behavior. The warmer parts are often not because the parent is genuinely a sincere and good parent so much as them doing the bare minimum to lie to themselves that they are. Since they’ve compartmentalized their evil and abuse of their child as justified and push it out of mind, they don’t give up entirely on the abortive “caring” gestures and still do them. They’re just more for the sake of the abusive parents’ self-concept than the actual welfare of the child.
It’s very strange to see people try to call out abusive behavior with a clear lack of understanding of how some common abuse cycles work with many abusers. Not all, so some people might go “but my abuser didn’t act like that!” But it’s pretty well documented that a lot of abusers work on those cycles in a very similar way.
Showing the “caring” behavior is therefore not necessarily an intended cue of “this person is really a good parent/deserves redemption” so much as showing the reality of how parents like that operate because it’s often not just them beating the crap out of their families 24/7.
Also it explains why Adrien is so desperate for approval. Abusive parents that give love sometimes are harder for the abused child to shake off the influence of. It wasn’t until my late teens that I was able to conceptualize “boy my dad is a prick even if he’s a good dad sometimes” in part because he was a “good” dad on occasion. Had he just beat the shit out of the family all the time, it would’ve been easier to turn the hate beams on him and I’d have rebelled against his bullshit faster.
It’s not necessarily a sign of inconsistency and even if it was a writing choice arrived at by mistake, it actually does emulate something realistic about many abusive parents. While they are unilaterally bad parents and awful people, they sometimes alternate back and forth between vile behavior and fake loving behavior.

Miraculous has this weird thing where the characterisation is actually super deep and on the surface seems well thought-out but I'm pretty sure that at least 70% of it was accidental

Some thoughs on Senti-Felix:
Felix' relationship with his mom is way too nice, if you think about it. On the Felix episode we learnt that she's been telling him about the rings since he was a child, being THAT open with him, and yet when he got back the ring that he knew would let anyone that wore it actually magically control his will, he was perfectly fine with giving it to her. Even while being a teenager. Even if she's not raising the most moral child, Amelie must be damn good at parenting if he's not afraid of giving her the power to mind-control him. And still she just let him have it instead. I aspire to be on that level of healthiness with my future kids.
Felix' dad was probably the one who held the ring before it ended up in Gabriel's hands, considering that Amelie said that ever since he died there is no one to "control" him. I don't remember the exact timeline of when his dad and Emilie died though so I might be wrong.
I wonder if Felix believed his mom about them being sentimonsters from the get-go, or if he didn't until he found out about the heroes and Hawkmoth & Mayura. I mean, yes kids do tend to believe their parents, but growing up into teenagehood he probably thought it was weird tale she made up. Until actual miraculouses started resurfacing and he saw it with his own eyes.

I just realised that after Gabriel Agreste we all thought the fake miraculouses were a dumb move for a guy that wants to prove he's NOT Shadowmoth, but Gabriel probably knew that if Felix was willing to break into his fucking safe to search for miraculous, he was probably not gonna stop there if he didn't find them- he would be too determined to prove he's right and win that little game of chess between them. So, hiding two fake miraculouses in the safe is a great idea if you'd prefer to potentially have these ones stolen over the real ones. We all underestimated him, but for once in his life, his poor single braincell deserves a reward
Btw I'm new here hi everyone
