plurality is not defined by switching.
plurality is not defined by headcount.
plurality is not defined by an inner world.
plurality is not defined by distinct headmates.
plurality is not defined by communication.
plurality is not defined by getting along internally.
plurality is not defined by an origin.
plurality is defined by multiple consciousnesses/identities in one body. if you say you’re plural, we and many, many others will always believe you. no two plurals are the same, and no one can tell you what you are or aren’t 💞

I think people really underestimate the amount of strangeness that the average person just ignores. When it comes to systems (specifically covert systems), the amount of signs of alters that people will just ignore, seems really weird. Until you think about the fact that when a singlet meets a system, they obviously assume you’re a singlet. They get used to different alters just being part of who you are.
For example, “oh, you act like a child sometimes? That’s just who you are.” “Your personality changes a lot? That’s just how your personality is.” They get to know “you” as a sum of your alters. So they’re so used to alters fronting, they may have a hard time realizing that they even are alters.

im gonna speak up on this. i never do and ive never mentioned it before, but im gonna do it
dear systemscringe,
stop fucking talking over us. stop trying to "help" us. ive been trying to figure out if ive had this disorder for six years. and i probably would have figured it out by now if every time i ever felt the slightest bit of denial i didnt go on your stupid subreddit and scroll. for. hours.
the only person ive told about my questioning is my girlfriend. and even she has said that ive gotta stop worrying that she'll find me "cringe".
every single time i experience a symptom its immediately followed up by me wondering if it was real or if i was somehow subconsciously faking it. everytime i find something i dont remember making, or posting, or doing. my first thought is "how could i managed to have faked this".
i couldnt.
im more than willing to acknowledge that i might have a different disorder. ive done research. i know everything from schizophrenia to autism can be misdiagnosed as osddid.
but ive been denying my symptoms for so long because of your community. because of your people who have to go out of their way to mock people who are very clearly mentally unwell.
i dont care if you have new mods now. i dont care if you've done the research. i dont care if you have "actual systems" who approve of what youre doing. i do like the possum guy though. possum guy rock on.
and the reason i like the possum guy is because they never say someone's definitely faking. they look through their posts, find misinformation, and correct it.
its very scary to post this. im afraid i'll be judged or mocked or cringed at. but whatever im done being cringe.

One of the r/systemscringe mods made a post. They commented on your post and I went to their account and they have some sort of statement
Yup! We saw. It's an invite for their server!
I won't respond to much of it, but this was one thing that popped out at me:
Tumblr media
One of my biggest problems with this community is that they can say things like this and just... not realize it's a problem.
Like, most of the systems in the community would be DID and OSDD systems.
Could you just imagine for a moment if this mentality existed in a similar space? A community about autism, for instance, where if you say you have ASD then people will tease you for it and be skeptical of you.
And this behavior is normalized. So normalized that people don't even see anything wrong with stating this aloud. It's just the way things are in that community and you're supposed to accept it.

System cringe is a HATE group. Plain and simple. Its so pathetic I can't even.
Its hate based on the desire to hate. To have an acceptable target to bully and jeer and vent their negative emotions upon. While I don't like sysmeds, at the very least at least their hatred is misplaced, they believe that endos and nondisordered, or just any system they don't like, is responsible for their suffering and stigma. but singlet system cringe fuckers? they have no reason to hate, except to hate, because systems aren't well understood and are an easy target, its fucking disgusting.
I don't know wut its gonna take to shut them down but i hope it happens. they are responsible for so much harm. the only thing we can do is keep pushing for system visibility and knowledge.
and to sysmeds out there. THESE are the real enemies of systems! not endos, not systems you don't understand. i dont want yall to be treated like this either, systems are stronger together, so stop dividing the community and join all systems against this hate group.
-Miz

No literally. I don't like to post suffering tbh. That feels really weird and super icky to me. Also, this kinda goes without saying, but many systems suffer enough in day to day life, why can't their internet lives be vaguely decent??
I really am tired neurodivergent people, but especially systems, on tiktok basically making the disorder about how much you suffer and therefore if you do not suffer you do not have the disorder. Some of us don't want to film ourselves having a fucking breakdown and put it on tiktok??? That's so fucking weird and WILDLY anti recovery. YES posting yourself suffering online, attention seeking with your disorder, is, in fact, a horrible coping skill that is ACTIVELY harmful! And the only reason I'm so against this one in particular isn't because people do it. People have the right to vent and post shit about their own suffering. It's the fact that this ballistic weirdos will travel in swarms to someone who's a system just living their life and enjoying themselves to fake claim the shit out of them because "they're not suffering enough." People aren't your trauma porn! Go watch fucking criminal minds or some shit you fucking freaks. Jesus fucking Christ I'm not a zoo animal for you to gawk at my misery.

Also wouldn’t that be something you ask them? I asked that of the system I knew who abused me, granted I asked it way too late, but I asked the question?? (They were anti-endo ftr, go figure) idk. Just kinda feels like something you’d ask about…
Don't you hate it it when you make a group using inclusive language only for it to be co-opted by inclusionists?
Tumblr media
Seriously though, "plural" is an inclusive term.
You have nobody to blame but yourself if you make a "plural" support group and accidentally attract people who aren't bigots.
Multiple pro endos have sent messages to that blog explaining the history of the term and they've clung to their right to use it on their exclusionist blog anyway.
This is what happens. 🤷‍♀️
Shoutout to that group though for making a space for all plurals!

not as a dni per se, but if you’re anti endo, seriously rethink liking anything from thus blog. i am very much pro endo and im extremely sick of seeing the ableism flung at endos
you realize you pressuring them to find repressed trauma can create false memories and make things worse, right? not to mention how endos paved the way for traumagenic systems to have communities yet now yall are pushing them out and fakeclaiming them and other systems.
honestly fuck you

Reminder: signing a change.org petition to take down a subreddit will literally do nothing. It's a literal waste of time, effort, and resources. Please contact reddit directly about this new "doxxing rule" in systemscringe. The subreddit specifically breaks rule 1 and 3 of the content agreement.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mention this and include a link to the post about the rules. Change.org won't do anything. Mass emailing/contacting reddit about a subreddit making a rule that doxxing people is okay will get their attention.
Cross tagging cause this affects all of us.

just a reminder that BetterHelp is selling your fucking data and that they themselves have said at industry meetings that they're a data-driven company more than a people-driven company
It feels like for a while in there that people were dropping them as a sponsor but now that the controversy has slightly dimmed there are so many ads for them again; do not give them your information, do not give them your money
I know insurance is a pain in the ass and mental health treatments cost too much out of pocket for most people. So do they, that's why they're making this little bait and switch operation. Helping people is, at best, a side product of their data harvesting, and at worst just a trick to lure people in.

plural friends/support groups
So I've seen some pretty hot takes from r/systemcringe. I'm not even sure where to start to be honest. I guess I'll start with the one that's echoing through my brain. Actually, there's two but I'll give them each their own post.
They seem to think that someone wanting plural friends is some gross statement of wanting people to suffer. Now this is mostly from a trauamgenic standpoint.
Having had a group of plural friends I hung out with some years ago, I can honestly say that none of us were thinking "I wish more of my friends suffered". Mostly what we were thinking was "Oh, you go through some of the same shit I do, you can understand in a way singlets don't." We could talk openly with each other about system stuff in ways we couldn't with singlet friends and family without having to stop and explain what "this" is or what "this" means. Sometimes you don't want to be the teacher, you just want to hang out with some friends.
It gave our system mates a chance to learn safe interactions, if they didn't know them. To learn that not everyone was evil or ready to abuse us. To learn that we can have friends too. And it gave us people to lean on in the bad times, people who understood just what those bad times were like. It gave our system mates a chance to be out for more than trauma and therapy things, to learn to have fun like "normal" people did.
It's definitely NOT a bad thing to want plural friends. It has nothing to do with wanting other people to suffer and everything to do with wanting a peer group. And you know what? Systems are allowed to want that, too.

I only saw it once I went through extensive anti theft training when I worked at Kohl’s (🤢). It’s kinda a mixture of boredom and people watching when you’re at work because you’re not allowed to leave your section. Even then, big stores forget that they don’t pay us enough to tell on people who are stealing. And even if they did, I still wouldn’t because honestly, fuck you. That’s why. Otherwise, yeah. I don’t notice it AT ALL when I’m out and about.
"if you see someone shoplifting, no you didn't" no but like. i really didn't. i have never in my life seen someone shoplifting because i'm not watching anyone else in the grocery store..? how are y'all noticing things like that. my only goals are enter the store, survive, exit the store
