I think you have issues with alcohol. I don’t know you but it comes off that you are scared of consuming alcohol perhaps due to the loss of control that comes with heavy drinking. If you aren’t living sober but don’t know how to approach I find the rules 1) never drink alone 2) drink with people that respect your boundaries 3) no more than two servings of alcohol in any form once a week and 4) drink to celebrate not to escape to be good.

It just tastes bad bro

DO THESE PEOPLE HAVE NO IMAGINATION WHATSOEVER?? IT'S SO CRINGE.

If I have to see one more video forced into my reels from Booktok where someone is like “Tee hee I was reading a book that said ‘his eyes darkened’ tee hee, silly author, eyes don’t darken,” I am going to lose my last marble.

Like is this for real, or are people being purposefully obtuse for giggles? And if it’s the latter, what is funny about acting ignorant? Why are there so many videos of people like “Trying to imagine a character but she [insert common phrase to explain a nuanced expression or tone] and WHAT DOES IT MEAN??” As if the author is avant-garde and you’re not just dense.

I am NOT willing to give up highly useful terms we’ve all understood for decades because people suddenly refuse to use one iota of imagination and default to “it’s literal” or “it’s fake.” You can pry “he hissed,” “his brows knit,” “his lip curled,” and “his eyes darkened” from my cold, dead fingers.

LIKE NO. IT MAKES PERFECT SENSE. IT'S NOT LITERAL-- YOU JUST HAVE NO IMAGINATION!

I keep seeing people making fun of using growled, hissed, roared, snarled etc in writing and it’s like.

have you never heard someone speak with the gravel in their voice when they get angry? Because that’s what a growl is.

Have you never heard someone sharply whisper something through the thin space of their teeth? Or when your mother sharply told you to stop it in public as a kid when you were acting up/being too loud? Because that’s what a hiss is.

Have you never heard a man get so blackout angry that their voice BOOMS through the house? Because that’s what a roar is.

Have you never seen someone bare their teeth while talking to accentuate their frustration or anger while speaking with a vicious tone? Because that’s what snarling is.

It’s not meant to be a literal animal noise. For the love of god, not every description is literal. I get some people are genuinely confused, but also some of these people are genuinely unimaginative as fuck.

These usernames sound legit in a vacuum, but after 5 following me in the last week, I'm pretty sure this is just a new flavor of bot.

Reblog because I have this printer and upon purchasing a USB-A to USB-B cable, I have discovered this post is entirely true and despite the printer's and its instruction book's attempts to pretend otherwise, it is perfectly functional with a cable and no wifi.
