How to heal a witch and/or pagan's soul 101:
"When we live together you can light candles/light incense/etc."
"When we live together feel free to have an altar space in our home"
"Of course you can have protection spells placed on the house I don't mind"
"I dont mind learning about your faith and spirituality"
Like seriously, all things I never thought I'd ever hear from someone outside of our little community, and all of it was said by my S/O. I didn't even realize there was something there that needed healing until they said it.

Graveyard Etiquette🪦
Tumblr media
Before you go protect yourself you don't want a spirit attached to you.
Bring coins as offerings to the gatekeepers.
Bring with you offering for the spirits (food, water, flowers ect...) and leave it by a tree or away from the headstones for the spirits.
Make sure you don't step on anyone and apologiz if you do by accident.
Clean up neglected tombstones.
Ask before you take dirt. Use your intuition or divination to get a response.
Don’t take anything that is left for the dead.
Don't leave trash behind and if you find trash clean it.
Leave the way you came.

Question for those who work with deities. Did any of you have imaginary friends growing up that you would talk to on a regular basis that now seem oddly similar to the deities you work with? I remember I had a couple imaginary friends while growing up and now I'm seeing interesting similarities between them and the deities I work with (I will admit, I had imaginary friends until I was about 16.).
That got me thinking, that maybe they had been there the whole time, but didn't make themselves known yet until I was a grown up. Maybe they knew at that time that I wasn't ready for full fledged deity work, and that I needed time to discover myself first and work through things.
Has anyone else thought of this or have this happen? Just curious.

Temporary Postpone of The Pagan Witch Newsletter.
Hello to all that read this. I will be, unfortunately, postponing the newsletter for an unknown amount of time. This is due to my laptop running way too slow for me to be able to properly work on it. I have been doing my best over the last few months to work through it, but it has now gotten to a point where I have to wait over an hour just to open Chrome.
I am hoping to be able to get a new one within the year, but I can't guarantee anything. My husband and I already have a lot of things we're trying to save for, including repairs to our vehicle. Your patience and support is greatly appreciated during this time. I apologize if this creates any inconvenience for anyone. If anyone has any questions about anything regarding the newsletter, please feel free to email me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Thank you all for the support and love you have given for this newsletter thus far. It always brings a smile to my face and warms my heart. I will still be adding emails to the emailing list if there are witches out there interested! Either leave a comment on any of my posts relating to the newsletter or send me a message!

Hecate
Deity Of: witchcraft, the moon, death & rebirth, crossroads & boundaries, magic, ghosts, necromancy Animals: dogs, horses, snakes, owls Crystals: black tourmaline, obsidian, amethyst, smoky quartz, labradorite Herbs & Trees: mugwort, wormwood, yarrow, lavender, mandrake, nightshade, oak, cypress, aconite Favorite Offerings: garlic, onions, honey, any associated herbs Symbols: keys, torches, crescent moon, triple moon
Hecate is a Greek goddess of witchcraft and a psychopomp of the underworld. She was often depicted with a torch and a key, symbols of her role as a guide to souls on their way to the afterlife.
She is a powerful figure among modern witches, often called upon for guidance and protection. Her assistance is sought by those pursuing spiritual growth and transformation, and her role as a moon goddess make her popular among those who practice lunar magic.
Hecate is depicted as a triple goddess. Traditional hekataia show her three aspects situated around a central column, often holding snakes, keys, torches, and daggers. Ovid wrote, "Look at Hecate, standing guard at the crossroads, one face looking in each direction."
Decorate a shrine or altar to Hecate with keys, lunar symbols, any of her associated crystals, figurines of her associated animals, especially black ones, and yellow or orange candles to symbolize her torches. If you have room and are so inclined, you can also include a cypress bonsai.

a tip for beginners since it worried me when i first started: its important to note that while there are deities that are heavily connected to each other, you’re not obligated to work with both of them.
many people speak on specifically married deities (ex: hades & persephone, zeus & hera, odin & frigg). a lot of people refer to them as a “package deal” since they are heavily entwined. but it’s important for those just starting out, this does not mean you have to work with both.
as someone who works with hades, some of my offerings to him are related to persephone but i don’t worship her. in fact, when i had the opportunity to meet her and ask, she smiled and said, “you’re not mine”. we both mutually understood that we didn’t have a connection to one another but we have mutual respect and kindness for one another.
the “package deal” part is where i offer my coffee that is too sweet for hades so he said he’ll hand it to persephone instead. which is the cutest fucking thing btw omg
this is all just in an effort to say, please do not worry about having to work with two deities rather than one. don’t get overwhelmed.

To anyone who is looking for a new witchy podclass or looking for a new creator with good information, I have a suggestion! This content creator is one of my top go-tos for most information, and is where I learned the foundation of my craft. Their name is Ariel Gatoga. His information is incredibly insightful and easy to understand. His podclass "A Witch's Primer" is the foundation I used to create my practice and I always find myself coming back to his methods time and time again. Not only does he teach witchcraft (for free), he also has a ton of meditations and he has a separate channel for tarot readings. My favourite tarot readings he does are the bi-weekly zodiac readings. His energy is wonderful and I recommend him to any beginner or anyone who is looking for a way to spruce up their existing practice!
