A word of advice to trans women
Tumblr media
Go to your nearest target. Buy a two pack of pushup bras (24$ for 2), and target’s bra inserts (12$). Then go to your nearest Walmart and buy the Vasserette Control Shapewear Panties (2.50 each), they do wonders for helping your tuck. There you go! You just saved yourself a lot of money, you can afford to buy enough to wear every day, and best of all you look fabulous. -@twidx

ATTENTION TRANS PEOPLE
if you are looking for a name change but cant afford the basically $400 like most people then go to your local court house and ask for an “indigent form” that form you will state that you cant afford to change your name. so then it will be free if very little.
feel free to add to this if other states have any more information

How do you (“how does one”) shop for a therapist?
Can you call up a therapist and be like “hi, I’m therapist shopping”? Can you schedule an appointment with a therapist and then be like “actually I have some questions and I want to spend part of this appointment talking about your practice and whether or not it is garbage?”? Are you expected to phone interview/screen your therapists if you are shopping around for a therapist?
If you’re seeing one therapist are you supposed to/not supposed to tell them if you start seeing another therapist? Is it possible to cheat on your therapist?

Just a reminder in case your mind is playing tricks on you today: You matter. You’re important. You’re loved. And your presence on this earth makes a difference whether you see it or not. You’re going to be okay.

You are agender, whether you have long or short hair.
You are agender if you’re more comfortable in a dress than a pair of pants and a loose fitting T-shirt. You are agender if you prefer the latter.
You are agender, whether or not you have breasts. You are still agender if you choose not to bind, or if you do.
You are agender, regardless of the pronouns you use.
If you are agender, no matter what you do that is traditionally masculine or feminine, it doesn’t matter. If you identify as agender, you are agender. No one can take that away from you.

you’re still trans if you respond to your birth name
you’re still trans if you sometimes slip up your own pronouns
you’re still trans if you dont correct people who misgender you, because you’re scared or you just can’t be bothered
you’re still trans if you haven’t felt ‘trapped in the wrong body’ since childhood
you’re still trans if you only started questioning after discovering the internet
you’re still trans if you dream of yourself with your birth name
you’re still trans if getting misgendered doesn’t feel like a stab in the gut because it happens so often that you’re used to it
you’re still trans if you’ve changed your name and pronouns 5000 times
you’re still trans if you don’t want to transition and you’re happy the way you are

I want to take a moment to send my love and solidarity to LGBT Muslims in light of what’s going on. I know the pressure on you is already so high. Your faith is not to blame for this, you are not to blame for this. You’re allowed to mourn, too.

to all the closeted lgbt kids who dont get to celebrate pride month as openly as youd like: this month is as much for you as it is for anyone else!!! you are real and you should be proud of yourself for coming so far and embracing your sexuality, however quietly you choose to do so!!!

I feel like this is a good time to mention that if you are scared to go to any pride events, it’s okay.
You’re not a bad member of the community.
You’re not being weak.
There are a lot of people right now talking about how it’s good to go out and participate in these events to show that we’re strong, but it’s okay to be afraid when there are very real threats to people’s safety.
Your safety comes first. You don’t have to force yourself into situations that make you uncomfortable. -V
