To give a small update, I've been making jewelry the past few days with pearls and necklaces with repurposed charms/earrings. It's pretty fun, to be honest. Has anyone here ever made jewelry before? A few relatives of mine used to make jewelery and sell it/gift it to people as a side job/hobby. It might just run in the family😅 This being said:
Imagine a Reader who makes jewelry...
Necklaces, chokers, bracelets, earrings, rings, anklets, you name it, they can and will make it.
Picky about your beads? Never fear! They have TONS of them! Bags and boxes and crates full, some repurposed from old pieces, some brand new, some from thrift stores or craft sections, it's all there! You like a certain color but want a gem for it? Reader has you covered! Amethyst, crystal, pearl, amber, fluorite, tiger's eye, garnet, pyrite, obsidian, etc. ! You want something more down-to-earth? Reader can do that, too! Wooden beads in all shapes and sizes and shades, crafted glass beads in different flora and fauna or abstract forms, even charms of metal and plastic and ceramic, if that's your style!
The platonic yamderes would definitely ADORE whatever Reader themed after them! A pair of earrings with lighting bolt charms and cloud puffs after Storm, complete with a weather-inspired necklace full of little cloud puffs and sun beads and rain crystals? She'd model it for you if you wanted! You want to make an entire cottage-core themed bracelet set with frogs and toads and mushrooms? Toad would love to be your muse, so you can capture their essence! You used animal bones and rough stones based on how Wolverine and Sabretooth are? Ohhhhh honey, they'd be supplying you with any bones you want, all while seeing how it looks on them. Point is, if you have ANYTHING that is based on or themed after any of the mutants, they are so going to be taking a look and talking about it!You want to sell your jewelry? They're your hype men. You need to find customers or a crowd who enjoys your craft? Surprise, the entire superhero, supervillain, and mutant communities are informed about it, and suddenly you have a steady stream of buyers. Oh, someone wants to show them in a gallery or show? They'll be pushing people towards your masterpieces, all while talking about the artist, who they know personally (you). You can bet the mutants who have some money tucked away buy the entire collections that are based on/themed around them (and they are NOT cheap when it comes to buying every last piece centered on them).
You can bet yourself that the platonic yans would be all for you and your craft, no matter the cost or trials it brings. H*ck, they're probably funding/donating to your art at this point, making sure you're never out of jewels, beads, threads, wires, metals, or jewelry pliers. If you need an extra hand with something, you have several willing volunteers. You need a new muse? Sign them up, they'll do all sorts of stuff with you to give you that inspiration you crave. You need a break from working too hard? Sit down, have some tea or coffee or orange juice, and let them help you wind down. They love you, and they love what you do, but they won't have you stretching yourself thin just to make ends meet. If you need anything, say the word and they'll be there. You've always been a pal, a friend, a sibling, or kid to them; let them repay the favor. You're their jewel, their gem, their lucky charm, and they wouldn't ever want to let you down.
(Should I make a post about the type of jewelry/sets/collections each X-Men Evolution character would have made by Reader based on them and their theme/colors/powers?)

arik!! for the sleepover !!! what are your favorite crystals and least favorite ones ???
Join the sleepover
HI NAT HI HI OKAY I HAVE SO MANY FAVS RN
Tumblr media
From top 2 bottom, carnelian, yellow calcite (yes his name is James), peacock ore, malachite, clear quartz (specifically record keeper quartz but that’s a STORY) and polychrome jasper.
They’re my treasures. All these guys are really good at revitalizing energy and grounding and they may perhaps be the threads in which my sanity is dangling from! Exam season is!!!
As for crystals I hate, SODILITE! EVIL CRYSTAL!! I hate sodilite so much and everyone who I have met with adhd also hates sodilite. It’s supposed to be good for focus but honestly it feels like the teacher I hate telling me I got a bad grade. Like bruh ur my Crystal ur supposed to root for me??
Also pyrite. Weird colour. Especially when tumbled is so gross.
I also really don’t vibe with amethyst and I don’t know why. Like I should love amythest!! It’s supposed to be calming and help with sleep but I literally have to keep the one piece of it I have outside of my bedroom because when I keep it in my room I Never sleep well. Crazy!
It’s sooo pretty though!!!

june 8: ‘taking chances’. 495 words; prompt via @jegulus-microfic !!
(possible cws: drowning & descriptions of pain. whoops!)
The potion slips down his throat easily, like he was born to drink it. James’ hand is in his, holding it tightly, like it was crafted to hold it. Like they were etched particularly, to fit together like they do; not conceived but instead poured into candle-moulds that match only with each other. One-of-a-kind.
The potion slips down his throat easily, but the oyster shell is heavy in his hand, and only getting heavier. It’s hard to lift, even with James’ help; he sobs and begs and pleads, says, “James, anything but more, please, I’m going to die, it’s going to kill me,” but he knows that the agony is as much the potion talking as it is himself, and James lifts the shell back to his lips once more and despite everything in his body crying for the opposite, he drinks.
And drinks. And drinks.
The risk of drinking it sends cold shivers through his body, but they’re so indistinguishable from the nervous tremors- from the knowledge that this is probably what they call ‘the right thing’- that there’s no real difference.
The potion seems bottomless, so much so that when he comes to the end of it, his mouth is open for more; ready, waiting. James looks at him, and smiles, and reaches into the basin to grab at the locket, and he says, “you did it, Reg.”
(Shouldn’t it be- “we did it”?)
He sounds so pure; sweet; happy. Things so unreasonable for a nineteen-year-old who’s in a cave in the middle of nowhere to help his boyfriend kill an immortal to end a war. A nineteen-year-old who’s dealing with undue responsibilities because of a would-be Lord, a false god, a man who panned for gold and found pyrite and convinced everyone that it was authentic. And he’s ruining their lives.
It’s not so bad, not anymore. The potion stung and hurt and burned and made him feel lke he was being cauterised from the inside out, but it’s not so bad. It had left him achingly thirsty, but the lake surrounding the island is full of cool water that eases the pain, and when arms start to grab; scratch; claw, he doesn’t really notice, not until James starts screaming from on the shore.
“Reg!” He calls, anxiety and panic threaded through his tone; an expert weaver, the way that they’re so intrinsic to the way that Regulus’ name falls from his mouth. “Reg, swim away! Please, I-”
And then he’s in the water too, trying to drag him out; fruitless, because the grab-scratch-claw had left him weak and he’s all dead weight. Not even James is strong enough to pull him away from that, though he tries; he always tries. Has never stopped trying. It’s one of Regulus’ favourite things about him.
(Or, well. It used to be.)
(He’s the one who dies first, of the two of them, but it’s a ‘used to be’ no matter how the order looks.)

The afternoon sun filtered in through a small crack in the opulent red curtains, catching Saya's face and causing her to stir. The soft threads of the sheet felt heavenly on her bare skin, and the cold air of the room only made her want to hunker down further beneath the covers.
The night before had been absolutely extravagant and divine - she had acted as an escort for one of her top paying clients for a particularly ritzy event in Pyrite. He wasn't that much older than she was, and had money galore. In this town, money meant power. Being his escort always meant more than just sex at the end of the night. It was the rare instances where she got to experience a lavish life, all the while getting paid very well at the end of it all. This money always sustained her for a long period of time, and of course Saya seldom divulged any parts of her personal life to any of her clients. It was unnecessary and unneeded. Sex work in Pyrite was common for a variety of reasons, and most didn't ask as long as they were fulfilled at the end of the night.
She could be whoever she wanted, she could be with whoever she wanted. There was never any strings attached - just the way she liked it. All she had to do for the more upscale events was hang on the arm of her client and look pretty. Her clothes were discarded haphazardly by the master bedroom entrance - a large and lavish room, furnished with the most immaculate pieces one could imagine. Sometimes, it was hard to believe she got to experience such things even if it came at the price of selling not just her time, but her body.
As she rolled onto her back, she'd rub her eyes with the back of her hand. Her skin came away with some leftover makeup hanging to it. Not long after she had stirred, a head of dark brown hair would poke out from the covers. Her first and most important rule was to never get too attached, but... she couldn't deny how unbelievably handsome he was. It made her heart skip a beat whenever his number came up on her phone. Saya had already been steeling herself for the inevitable - the time would come where she would have to distance herself, just to avoid any unnecessary feelings.
She soon sat up, messy black hair falling in waves down her back. The man next to her would soon yawn, arms rising out of the mess of sheets and blankets as he stretched. "Good morning," his voice was low, still laced in the throes of sleep. His hand would reach up to her face, thumb tracing along one of her scars.
There was hardly any feeling on the skin there. Of course she was aware he was touching her, though she did not recoil. If anything, she almost leaned into his touch. Almost. Crimson eyes met blue, and she felt the same squeeze in her heart that she always did.
"Beautiful." He'd add after a moment, not yet moving his hand from her face. There was a second of pause, before she'd laugh. "Boy, shut yer ass up." Even still, there was something about hearing it from him that made it even more special. "I know I ain't th'only woman yer sayin' that shit to." That, in turn, made him laugh.
"And I'm not the only man you've heard that from." He was wrong. Men called her beautiful all the time, sure, but not her facial scars. This was a first. The back of her neck burned, traveling to her ears not long after. She knew she couldn't break her own rule, even if it hurt to have to face it, and even if it just became infinitely more difficult now.
Her hand moved to brush a strand of hair from his face, the corner of her lip turning up into a small smirk. "Wish I could stay here with ya longer. I..." really enjoyed spending last night with you, "I should prolly get goin', though. I got some shit goin' on fer th'next few weeks." Saya lies coolly, feeling her heart splinter piece by piece. "So I won't be available fer ya." She moves her hand from the side of his face, peeling the covers back as she gets out of the bed. "'m sorry-"
"No, I understand. You do what you have to." He interjects, getting up with her to fetch his own clothes. They get dressed in silence, Saya not bothering to look at him for the time being in case she were to crack.
"Do you need me to call for someone to drive you home?" He soon asked, approaching her and fixing a strand of hair that was caught in her coat. Saya did have a large sum of cash in her wallet now, but she still wasn't worried.
"Nah, I'll be fine. I've dealt with m'share of shit 'fore, y'know? Y'worry too much." That would mean she'd have to wait, and she wanted to leave before it became too difficult. It already was too difficult.
There was another pause, before he'd soon nod. "Alright. Just... let me know when you're available again." Looking into his eyes almost broke her resolve. Those damn eyes, as blue as any summer sky she'd ever seen. A long breath soon left her nostrils, steeling herself all over again. "I will, promise."
One by one, the strings would snap as Saya carefully severed them. At least once her back was turned on him, it was easier to walk out of the door.

The Alchemy of Architecture: Pyrite's Golden Paradox and the Wealth of Sustainable Wisdom
In the tangled labyrinth of time and space, where the echoes of classical wisdom are muffled by the paradoxes of existence, a thwarted classicist finds themselves ensnared. The conventional reality, so cherished by the architects of antiquity, is at odds with the strange dance of particles and waves that defy logic within this dissonant continuum.
In this perplexing realm, the classicist grapples with the enigma of pyrite, a mineral that mimics the radiant allure of gold. Here, the architect becomes an alchemist, not of base metals into precious ones, but of ideas and perspectives. Pyrite's golden hue, not born of wealth but of mineral composition, challenges the conventional understanding of value and materiality.
As the classicist explores the properties of pyrite, the dichotomy of architecture in the face of the climate crisis and capitalist greed unravels before them. Pyrite, with its deceptive golden glow, becomes a metaphor for the misinterpretation of wealth. It is not about the gleam of currency but the untapped wealth of knowledge and sustainable design.
The climate crisis, an impending cataclysm exacerbated by unchecked human activity, clashes with the insatiable appetite for wealth. Capitalist greed, like a voracious serpent, devours resources without regard for the consequences. Yet, in the golden hue of pyrite, the classicist discerns a different kind of wealth—a wealth of understanding, of harmony with nature, and of responsible architecture.
The misinterpretation of gold in this cosmic conundrum underscores the need for a paradigm shift in architectural thinking. It beckons architects to move beyond the pursuit of monetary wealth and embrace the wealth of knowledge that can pave the way for sustainable, environmentally conscious design.
In this alternative reality, the classicist trapped in the time-space continuum becomes an architect of change. They navigate the complexities of pyrite's golden paradox, wielding it as a symbol to challenge the prevailing norms of architecture. It's a call to unravel the threads of capitalist greed that have woven a tapestry of environmental degradation. The golden hue, once a lure for avarice, becomes a beacon guiding architects towards a future where design is not just about structures but about a sustainable coexistence with the planet.
Thus, within this intricate web of paradoxes, the thwarted classicist discovers that the true wealth lies not in the pursuit of gold but in the enlightened understanding of how architecture can shape a world where nature and human endeavour coalesce in a harmonious dance.

Short excerpt from the (very much unfinished) Next Chapter of I Am Drowning
I hope I lie
I'm just as bad as you my dear.
Falling for an illusion.
The hope for a life we once had.
But we're simply phantasmal figures masquerading as the living.
Haunting each other for all of eternity.
Spinning a tale so great even we've begun to believe it.
But our thread is made of pyrite. And our dreams the unattainable.
I shall love you forever
But none of this is real.

Is this pyrite? Was the glitter of finding something I thought was unique just glitter? Or was it that what was unique isn’t what you thought you wanted, because that was the surface of your want, but what you really wanted, and see the point then becomes that the uniqueness is all these threads of connected pieces turn on the identity of wants and needs, which goes back to the pre-memory me ‘confusing’ needs and wants, so I have studied needs and wants my entire life, and this becomes: the allocation of the delta between ideal and actual over quadrants, meaning into a quadrant, which of course is part of the quadrants description so here now is the associative reason being enacted with actual information, that allocation connects the ideal to the actual through n-dimensions, meaning from quadrants into more slices. This enables all those comparisons of needs and wants. It enables the threads which connect those along the way because the ideal is always along the way too. So this observation about allocation has a deep, unique meaning at the Informational Limit. One thing this does is it allocates Observer along the way too.
That idea is less well formed. I seem to be experiencing it though because this thought pattern exemplifies a shifting Observer. As in, I just saw a similarity to the Jesus story at 33, then 66, and I thought but I would prefer 99. I work with SBE3 all the time. I would choose that Storyline, instead of the other one. Thinking that way is different from being inside the storyline wondering how it will come out. It’s more authorial, and as I was working on that I thought of Jane Austen, and the way that so much wonderful stuff has been coming together, and yet I’m chilled and terrified it won’t work out. The key to the ending of P&P is that she draws out what happens after she knows what he did, so you can see her falling deeper in love with him until it bursts out of her. It’s that act of transformation, when all the plot is done, when she knows what he did and she re-experiences him in that light. That is the love-making. That is sharing an identity by experiencing the other’s perspective, by feeling loved. Which binds.
I can see why some people become addicted to the physical sensations separate from the feelings. They’re expressions of the physical self. Wow. I see the connection to the latest Storyline work, the one where I’m a younger, obviously more prodigal me. And the way that Storyline repeats the same theme as the MMStoryline and the others, that this is the one with whom physical sensation is bound up with my identity as opposed to being an expression of the physical self but not my inner self. The one I can talk to about my work, who enables this work to happen because otherwise I could not get it out, and who supplies my writing prompts. That last is really interesting, because the prompts generate on my side from the desire to explain to you what I need to know well enough so I can explain it to you, meaning I want to share this with you as deeply as possible, which means I need to understand as deeply as possible, which means that reaching deeper into myself identifies me more with you. And that fits to the work because that is the K structure in which a point or End, along the Extent which is the vertical line of the K, splits, and the so-called facing K is the return (which you can rotate all the way around to the original K and through), meaning we deem the Ends where the K’s touch, which are points on Extents (meaning grid lines), to be where the 2 come together as the B Endpoints approaching End (which may also be Start in continuing existence).
I think we just took the Storyline concept and phrased it in grid squares terms. Plots pull people apart and push them together. Of course they would phrase in grid squares. This is where I get confused: is this a big deal? I see a lot of meaning flows from this idea: that we can learn how to understand how storylines occur in real life and can develop better models because we can assign values to concepts like Extents. They count a certain number of winds around the Triangular, which unravels to be an Extent. Can we get into ‘unravels’? Isn’t this the conception of e and the spiral? That’s a hard shift of thought, so hold on: I can feel the twisting, like we’re careening around a corner. Think in counting terms: e is 1+1 when 2 conditions are implied, that (1+1) is to the power of n and that one of the 1’s inverts through all n, meaning all integers. To be clear, we count this inversion twice: by dividing 1 by n and by dividing the number of segments by n. That we multiply to the power of n hides this.
So what’s an inversion? You know what that is: different sized wheels or Hexagons over an HG. What’s appearing in my head is that this literally now opens up as a spiral, meaning we’ve matched to the representational idea, meaning we can point at that to say we explain e, look. So when that unravels, it reaches the distance which the value of e. That is the clearest I’ve ever seen this.
I need to take a break.

Hungry wolf shaped man with a pack long-dead-gone puts the collar on with both hands shaking, tames himself and teaches his anger a new way to growl. Makes his hunger a weapon in a new way. Lives in the corners, dangerous with his back to two walls. Sharpens his knife. Runs his hands over the collar of his jacket like some sort of prayer, like faith is his leash, like he loves someone enough to be theirs down to the marrow.
Man with sunburn smile lets the cuffs on his wrists glitter just enough to hide the shine of the key in his palm. Burns himself up from the inside out white-hot with pretty lies. Red-gold counterfeit honesty. Dresses up in what passes for fashion and cuffs the shirtsleeves. Ties the key around the wolf’s neck. Loves the wolf more than he loves his freedom. Loves the wolf so much his palm is scarred shiny from bite marks.

Mercury is direct again, here is a little pick your pile reading around the lessons of Mercury retrograde ✨🤍
1. LABRADORITE
If during Mercury retrograde you felt annoyed by something. Something you’re used to doing, or thinking, or by a situation you are in, either you can change the routine or the thoughts or the situation and in this case it’s time to take action, either you can’t change the situation and then you can call the energy of the Orca, the Sycamore or the Labradorite to help you connecting to your strength, to find patience into the storm. .✨
2. BLUE APATITE
If during this Mercury retrograde you struggled to connect to your emotions, to feel them, because you ran out of time, because you were afraid or you were protecting your self, maybe on the opposite you were submerged by them, you can now revisit the events and try at least to name the emotions that you contained, repressed, or that have overflowed. They could lead you to memories that you could reclaim, tame and pacify. There’s a forgotten power to find underneath, beautiful flowers to let grow out of the ashes. .✨
3. PYRITE
If during Mercury retrograde you had the possibility to isolate yourself a little, maybe you found some clarity on your desires, your wishes. It’s time to consider that: are your desires clear for you? Only when your vision is clear you will be able to manifest them. Is there a part of you that is resisting your desires? What comfort this part find in the fact of not manifesting those desires? Look in the shadows to liberate space. .✨
