Hi dims! :D
26. How do you get into your character’s head? How do you get out? Do you ever regret going in there in the first place?
Oooooo this is a fun one!
When getting in-character for writing, I tend to do it best when I've already either A) daydreamed a scene every day for 3 months and tweaked the dialogue in my head, matching the show's artstyle near perfectly to capture the vibes of the original to the best that I can, or B) I have just finished writing that scene and am now On A Roll and I could tell you this character's entire past, present, and future and me 100% correct in everything I say ever.
Or C), I just understand how that character thinks, have built a couple of strong "they would say this" headcanons around them, and let that breeze guide my sails.
All that is to say that I don't think I write 100% in-character all the time. But, when I do think I nail it, it creates some of my best work.
Gonna allow myself to gush about my own writing for a second. It's old now, but my magnum opus- in my opinion- is still Chapter 19 of Half a Puppet- Pearl's chapter. I had been waiting for the chance to have her be the best goddamn Crystal Gem this side of the galaxy since I first started getting more and more story threads for HaP in my mind.
I wanted to show the version of Pearl that wouldn't let Homeworld push her down, but not in the way that she was in the beginning of the show. She's FAR more independent now, and channeled all that negative energy towards Greg she used to have into being Loki incarnate. Weird on paper, but in my head? It was fucking brilliant. And I still agree- that chapter is still the best thing I have ever written.
The subtle ways that Pearl tricks Morganite, and manipulates her in similar ways that Morganite has definitely done to other gems below her, getting subtle stabs of revenge without outright attacking her is one of my fav things ever. Plus, she does fight back! She's incredibly talented with the blade and spear, and she would have gotten out of there single-handedly if Morganite wasn't a fucking cheater with technology far beyond Pearl's understanding.
Plus, it renders Morganite as just a petty, whining child. Like, she's on the same level as Aquamarine, she's just a brat who, while also talented, uses her talents to boost herself up and think she has the right to push everyone else down. And it's not even a talent she earned, she popped out of the ground already knowing how to make wondrous statues. Pearl earned her talent, every step of the way.
Plus, that love that Pearl still holds for Rose is still there, so painfully evident. But, for once in the show, she's not weighed down by the sadness or the hole left in her being. She's moved past that. Like, yes, she still mourns Rose, but it's not obsessive like how she was in Season 1. She's grown far past that. So, instead, she does something she know would make Rose so fucking proud of her and just pranks her way out of her bad situation by portraying Rose the way she wanted to live.
(which gave me a chance to point at Rose and go look there's a trans metaphor in here somewhere and Pearl is the best fucking ally on the planet LOOK)
Idk. I still get really excited when I think about that chapter. I think it turned out really, really well.
On the flipside, though, I do struggle getting into characters heads when I don't understand how they think. It's one of the reason y'all aren't getting NEARLY as much HLVRAI writing from me as you got SU writing. Because HLVRAI is an improv series, the characters aren't as nailed down as someone like Pearl is. This is not a bad thing, though! I don't want them to be as nailed down, as long as they're consistent, which they are (and when they're not, it's usually for a joke, so you can take what they say as just them bullshitting and laugh and move on).
In order to fully get into character for the HLVRAI gang, I think I'd have to write them more in general and try to picture my writing happening in canon. Would it?
The greatest lesson I can give to fellow writers is not to say "this character would never do this," but instead to say "what would push them to do this?" Any character could become a pirate, but why? Even if you don't think they would ever become a pirate, what could push them to that point? Maybe they were forced into it, or maybe they knew it was the only way to save their daughter. Maybe they just kinda became pirates through an unfortunate series of events. Either way, there is something out there that would tip the scale.
I guess the best way I get into character is figuring how to put my finger on the scale in the exact way to push that character in question to act.
tl;dr who fuckin knows fhgsadkj

Phosphosiderite Jewelry: Light Bearer of the Crystal Family
Phosphosiderite is one of the rare stones found on earth, made up of phosphate and iron. The stone can range in colors from brown-yellow to violet, rose red, pink, and even moss green. In its purest form, Phosphosiderite is found in cream-white color. Rarer Phosphosiderite crystals can come in green color that may be threaded with yellow. It gets its name from the Greek words “phosphorus” and “sideros” (“sideros” means iron). The crystal system of Apatite, Hematite, Zircon, and Barite is similar to that of Phosphosiderite. Phosphosiderite is found around other crystals such as Morganite, Kunzite, Lithium Quartz, Petalite, Rhodonite, Pink Danburite, Tugtupite, Rose Quartz, and Variscite.

Jeweled Legacy
Achieving success as a jewelry designer requires working seven days a week. Your thoughtful consideration of this is clearly apparent. This basic fact makes every terrible loss much worse. You may discover that not all of your rings are functioning properly.
Regular inspections and maintenance could have prevented some of these problems Custom Fabrication No matter how damaged your jewelry is, you can always trust us to fix it.
In diamond settings, the "claws" that hold the stones in place are actually prongs. The stones been returned to their rightful owners. It's possible that some of the technology we use now will become outdated very soon. Any tiny object, such as a hair or thread, has the potential to snap a prong. The diamond on your finger could get damaged if you do that.
Tumblr media
A ring prong had been "pancaked," or flattened, from repeated wear. We may consult our Santa Barbara jeweler about the possibility of a "re-tipping" with fresh metal. The sharpness of these blades makes them suitable for use as a murder weapon. Another possible interpretation of "pancaked" is "having the consistency of a pancake after being battered." To make the switch, you need to remove the solder from the old prong tip, solder the new one, and then remelt the solder. If you follow my instructions, you will succeed.
Inspecting a stone for loose flat prongs with a loupe on a frequent basis is essential to prevent it from falling out of its setting. Make a move if your wedding bands hold a special place in your heart. Checking your rings more frequently than once every six months is recommended for those who wear them everyday. Doing this every three months should keep things running smoothly. Your stone can last for a long time with the right care. This kind of regular maintenance is crucial for preventing snagging. The incidence rate dropped dramatically after the changes were made.
It was plain to see that bricks were slipping from the wall.
Cutting out the intermediary and purchasing stone directly from the quarry will save you money Restring Pearls It is necessary to remove each stone individually. As a hobby, working with stones to create unique jewelry is a lot of fun. Monazite is sometimes confused for diamonds due to its remarkable resemblance to the valuable stone. A morganite gemstone is an excellent pick if you're on a budget but still want a lot of sparkle.
Stones can be cleaned and ready for reinstallation with compressed air and a strong synthetic or wire brush when they are removed from their mounting. Placing the machine back together is the subsequent stage. The term "mature" is used to describe a rock that has developed to its fullest capacity. You can fix any loose stones by using masonry glue and a caulking gun. The sticky beads' adaptability belies their fragility, though.
Rings can have a broad variety of aesthetic impacts with different kinds of stone settings. The words "Halo" come rushing into my mind every time I hear that. The exterior halo ring represents this transformation. Less loose stone means less work for inspectors and maintenance crews. Much has changed, at least from the outside looking in.
Havoc on Nuts Coats of jewelry? Verify that all connections are secure before moving forward. Any broken clasp can be easily repaired by an experienced jeweler. Changing the chain on a necklace or bracelet is nothing to be ashamed of. Its fragility is highlighted by the extra prongs on the ring.
There is a simple way to repair it in the event that it breaks: just twist and solder the safety clasp onto the flat container. Both choices don't necessitate a lot of mental energy. Adding a new crimp bead to your necklace is a simple way to fix a broken or bent one. It would be next to impossible to create jewelry without crimp beads.
Shops that focus on fine jewelry can go above and beyond for their customers by offering additional services, such as cleaning for pearl necklaces. We get a lot of requests to restring pearl necklaces. Getting your diamond or clasp replaced or repaired is a breeze at this establishment. Hire our experienced cleaners if you feel overwhelmed by the task of maintaining a clean home.
Adjustments However common the term may be, when applied to the degradation of jewelry, the word "fatigue" carries with it unpleasant associations. The metal becomes increasingly corroded as a result. Whenever possible, repair worn or rusted clamps, hinges, and rivets. There are overt and covert ways in which environmental variables including humidity, temperature, vibration, and corrosion can impact mechanical systems. People may change their minds over time. It seems like things are rapidly deteriorating now. When microscopic fissures form in a metal and then close, causing it to become weaker, this process is called fatigue. The fissure on the metal's surface would have widened over time. When stress levels beyond what is known as a material's "stress safety envelope," catastrophic breakdown is possible. We have exhausted all possible means to guarantee your safety. This approach effectively prevents metals from oxidation and rust. It is common practice to evaluate a material's quality based on its tensile and yield strengths as well as its fatigue life and other pertinent metrics. Whenever I employ it, this method always gets the same results. If early adopter pricing is a problem for you, we could have the answer. A small change in furniture placement might provide the illusion of more space than there actually is. With proper care, the component's lifespan can be extended. Slots, grooves, or keyways cut into metal hasten its deterioration and rusting. The deterioration of relations is directly attributable to this change. A change in the shear stress might have been the culprit responsible for this unexpected result.

Jewelry Repair
Such actions demonstrate your respect and appreciation for the jewelry's high monetary value. You've obviously given this a lot of thought. Jewelry Repair That explains why it hurts so much to lose the clasp on your pricey necklace or bracelet. The effectiveness of different rings varies widely.
If inspections and maintenance were performed more frequently, perhaps there would have been fewer failures. Try not to worry too much if one of your gems breaks because it can usually be fixed.
Guidelines for Cutting Word Count
Four metal "claws" hold the diamond in place. They'll eventually return to us with the stones we lent them. The most advantageous technological developments can be useless even in the remote future. One misplaced thread or hair is all it takes to break a prong. This could cause your diamond ring to become irreparably cracked or chipped.
By "re-tipping" the prong with new metal, our Santa Barbara jeweler might be able to restore a prong that has "pancaked," or worn down so far that it is flat as a pancake. These blades need little effort to cut arteries. The definition of "pancaked" in another language is "to be pounded until it has the consistency of a pancake." Cut off a little bit of the old prong head, roll it into a cylinder, and re-melt it into position before soldering on the new tip. If you follow this plan, you ought to succeed in your objectives.
If the flat prongs aren't periodically examined using a loupe, the stone can fall out of them. Wedding bands are a significant investment for those who value them highly. Checking your rings every six months is insufficient if you wear them every day. Following this schedule once every three months shouldn't cause any issues with Jewelry Repair. Stone can last for centuries if properly maintained. Regular maintenance also has the advantage of preventing snagging. After the maintenance was done, the incidents started to occur less frequently.
shattered rock
Buying a stone directly from the mine offers many benefits. The process of removing each stone one at a time is laborious. You might spend much less on jewelry if you mount your own jewels. Due to their striking similarity to the precious stone, morganites are commonly mistaken for diamonds. When you need a highly reflective stone but don't want to spend a lot of money, moronite is a great option.
You can rejoin the stones after cleaning them with a wire brush or stiff synthetic brush and compressed air. This is the first step towards putting everything back together. It takes a lot of work to extract minerals from their ores and transform them into forms that may be used. Using masonry adhesive and a caulking gun, loose stones can be fixed. The adhesive-coated beads ought to be as small as feasible.
The ring's appearance can be totally changed by adding or removing different stones to the shoulders, sides, and halo. The "Halo" soundtrack keeps playing in my head. The halo ring is a lovely representation of this advancement. The need to haul stone might be significantly reduced with preventative maintenance. In general, there has been a significant change in fashion.
Before the bottle was opened, the genie had already disappeared. A secure clasp is necessary when layering bracelets and necklaces. Any broken clasp can be repaired by a skilled jeweler. You don't need to run to the store right away to get a replacement chain if the one on your necklace or bracelet breaks. One of the stones in your ring constantly runs the risk of falling out because of how poorly it was created.
A broken container can be fixed by gluing the flat pieces back together and slightly bending the safety clasp. Both options don't take a lot of effort or time. It is simple to replace a broken crimp bead with a new one. Crimp beads make it simple and quick to put together necklaces and bracelets.
Today's jewelers provide a wide range of services, of which pearl necklace restoration is just one. Due of considerable demand, skilled pearl stringers may have reservations months in advance. A huge diamond cannot be easily replaced, but clasps can. You may rely on us to help you clean up the mess if and when something unanticipated occurs in your home or place of work.
Adjustments The Supplemental Materials Have Changed The gradual and continuous degradation of strained materials and joints is referred to as "fatigue". Metals are more prone to rusting under certain circumstances. Wear, corrosion, and aging can all reduce the effectiveness of hardware. Environmental factors can have a substantial impact on a device's internal and external operations, including temperature, vibration, and corrosion. We might be able to resolve this problem by altering our point of view. The existing state of affairs seems to be gradually getting worse. When metals are stressed or worn, they develop minute cracks, but these cracks eventually mend. Over time, the metal may develop rust. The surface could crack as a result of the damage. The maintenance is to blame for the delay.
The metal must not alter within the "stress safety envelope" established by the designers. This prevents rust and oxidation on the metal. We can reasonably estimate the fatigue, stress, and yield strengths. What you say after that is irrelevant. With the revised design, there is less chance that the item will break from strain or abuse, and with careful treatment, the component's lifespan can be extended. When metal is carved with notches, slots, or keyways, corrosion occurs more quickly. These modifications raise regional pressure to make up for the shortfall. It is important to consider the implications of increased shear stress seriously.

Jeweled Legacy
You probably have firm convictions about the jewelry you choose to adorn yourself with. It's obvious that you've given this a lot of thought. This is why it might be upsetting to lose a necklace or bracelet clasp Jewelry Repair Perhaps none of your rings will function.
Performing regular upkeep and inspections could have prevented several of these breakdowns. We can repair many types of jewelry issues, such as:
Research Topics
Diamonds in metal settings are held in place by "claws" called prongs. The stones are back with their rightful guardians. The novelty of once-reliable technology may wear off with the passage of time. Even anything as tiny as a thread or a hair might destroy a prong. Doing so may cause damage to the diamond in your finger.
Tumblr media
Our Santa Barbara jeweler may be able to fix a prong that has "pancaked," or worn down to the point that it is as flat as a pancake, by "re-tipping" the prong with fresh metal. The sharp edges of these implements make them hazardous to use. "pancaked" can also indicate "having the consistency of a pancake after being battered." Cut off a small piece of the old prong head, roll it up, and re-melt it into position before soldering on the new tip. You can accomplish your goal by employing this strategy.
If you don't check your setting with a loupe on a regular basis, a loose flat prong could cause your stone to fall out. Get moving if you give a hoot about your wedding bands. Wearing rings daily necessitates more regular checks than one every six months. Every three months of this and you won't have any issues. If you care for your stone properly, it could survive for decades. Snagging can also be avoided with regular maintenance like this. Fewer problems appeared after this maintenance was done.
Fragmented rock
There are many advantages to purchasing a stone straight from the mine. Taking out each stone one at a time is a laborious task. This is an evident perk when compared to buying gemstones already set in jewelry. Morganite is frequently misidentified as diamond due to their superficial similarities. When you need a highly reflecting stone but can't afford to spend a fortune, morganite is a great option.
The first step in reattaching loose stones is to clean the stone with a stiff synthetic brush or wire brush and compressed air. This is the first stage of putting the pieces back together. This is the first of many processes needed to finish forming a rock. Loose stones can be reattached with the help of masonry adhesive and a caulking gun. Follow the instructions and use only a few tiny beads of adhesive.
Additional stone settings can be added to the shank, shoulders, and sides of a halo ring to alter its overall appearance. The first thing that pops into my head is "Halo" rings. The halo ring is a lovely representation of this progress. The amount of loose stone can be greatly reduced with routine maintenance and inspections. It makes a huge difference in how things look generally.
Broken Nuts It's important to have a reliable clasp while stacking multiple necklaces and bracelets. A competent jeweler can repair any broken clasp. If the chain on your favorite necklace or bracelet breaks, you shouldn't feel awful about getting a new one. The stones in the ring are in danger of slipping out due to the setting's fragility.
A broken container can be fixed by applying glue, replacing the flat part, and bending the safety clasp ever-so-slightly. Neither choice requires a lot of work or time. You may simply add a new crimp bead to your necklace if one of yours breaks or gets bent. Crimp beads allow for rapid and simple assembly of necklaces and bracelets.
In order to better serve their consumers, most modern jewelry stores now offer services beyond only pearl necklace repairs. However, one of the jeweler's most in-demand services is restringing pearls. These stores can fix anything Jewelry Repair from a lost clasp to a shattered larger diamond. If you have trouble keeping a tidy house, we can help you with specialized cleaning solutions.
Adjustments Jewelry Improvements When a material or joint is repeatedly subjected to stresses of varying intensities, fatigue sets in. This increases the likelihood of rusting in the metal. Closures, clasps, and hinges that rely on rivets to stay together eventually break down due to regular use. The degree to which indoor and outdoor performances are similar or dissimilar can be greatly influenced by environmental conditions such as temperature, vibration, and corrosion. It's possible that adjusting some parameters would solve the problem. The current order is rapidly disintegrating. Tiny fissures propagate throughout the metal, then seal back up again, causing metal fatigue. Furthermore, metal fatigue might contribute. There may be two distinct textures on the fracture surface after some time has passed. We've entered the upkeep phase at the moment.
Use the part strictly within the "stress safety envelope" described in the design documents to avoid metal fatigue. This procedure prevents metals from rusting and oxidizing. The ultimate tensile strength, yield stress, and fatigue life of a material can be calculated using these three values. You're free to repeat this process as many as you wish. The value of an item declines when it is used more frequently. Modifying a component's design iteratively can help lessen stresses in specific areas. Careful handling can extend the life of the component. Cutting notches, slots, and keyways into metal speeds up its deterioration. These modifications put additional stress on the area compensating for the shortfall. A rise in shear stress could be the cause of this peculiar result.

How to Wear Rose Gold Jewelry
With the return of color in fashion, the popularity of rose gold has risen and taken the fashion world by storm. Rose gold has been trending for several years now and is one of the top choices in jewelry.
What distinguishes rose gold from other jewelry metals is its soft, feminine look and its ability to bring out the blush tones from just about any skin color. Rose gold looks great on almost all skin tones and is the perfect addition to any jewelry collection. Because of its versatility in jewelry, rose gold pairs well with other metals and gemstones, and complements almost any outfit color.
But even so, some people may find it a little intimidating to accessorize with rose gold. After all, silver and yellow gold have been the go-to colors for a long time and most people don’t own any rose gold jewelry. But if you step into the world of rose gold, there are lots of ways to wear this gorgeous metal and look fabulous.
Here’s how to up your accessorizing game and sport rose gold jewelry!
1. Mixing and Matching Metals
Most people take a conventional approach when it comes to mixing metals, preferring to stick with just one metal color. In the past, mixing metals was seen as a fashion no-no, a serious faux pas. But today, this is one of the top fashion trends and everyone seems to be getting on board. While once a single-metal approach was lauded, today, you immediately achieve an easily chic and modern look by mixing your metals.
So how do you do this?
Some designers create modern, unique pieces that already have more than one tone in the design. This might be a gemstone in a rose gold bezel set against a silver-hued band, or earrings that have more than one metal color. Choose a classy, well-designed piece that doesn’t look tacky or cheap. You can also opt to mixing metals using your own sense of fashion. Stacking jewelry is a hot trend at the moment and works for rings, necklaces and bracelets. Why not opt for different metal tones for your stacking rings or layering necklaces? Just ensure that the pieces you choose don’t look like they’ve been put together randomly. Find a common thread between the pieces – such as having the same style or theme. As long as the pieces look stylish, purposeful and go well together, you’ll have a winning look.
Tumblr media
2. Pair Rose Gold with Stones
It is safe to say that rose gold pairs well with all types of gemstones, which is why it’s a top choice for engagement rings. In general, rose gold tends to have a vintage charm about it when set with gemstones. Many Victorian designs incorporated rose gold and all types of gemstones to stunning effect.
The transition from metal to gemstone is easy on the eyes and the two hues tend to complement each other. Morganite, pink diamonds, pink sapphires or pink tourmaline are good choices. However, some shoppers feel that a rose gold and pink gemstones pairing creates a washed out look, as the setting and gemstone merge into one color and nothing stands out. This is a matter of personal taste, so see what works best for you.
Tumblr media
And Some Final Tips
The next time you find yourself reaching over for a yellow gold item, choose rose gold instead. Rose gold can replace yellow gold as it too is a warm color. Rose gold accentuates the blush tones of your skin and adds a glow to it, whether you’re pale or dark.
You don’t need to have a lot of money to spend on rose gold jewelry. There are amazing rose gold filled, rose gold plated, rose gold rolled and rose gold vermeil pieces that are much more affordable than 14K or 18K rose gold pieces and great for fashion jewelry.
For a range of jewelry to suit every budget, taste and style, check out jewelrykg’s large range . There’s something for everyone here, so sift through the listings and choose what looks best for you.

~*{ saria & haxar }*~
@thenxghtwemet
If she was counting correctly -- which, she didn’t always, and in that moment mentally had to count her fingers -- it had been a total of eight days and a night since she had left Avalon City to adventure to her new home in Winter Court. The morning light filtered gently through the crystal-like glass of Tatiana’s bedroom, sending rainbows and tiny glimmers of light scattering around. Try as she might to wake the princess from her nest of over-stuffed pillows and luxurious blankets, Saria had finally sighed with a wistful smile and left the tiny owl-winged girl to her deep sleep. The lesser fae was by no means a morning person herself -- what she would give to be able to burry herself in her own small bed in the servants quarters below the castle -- but Tatiana was another story entirely. She slept like she was hibernating, and though Saria was tempted to bring a tray of freshly baked scones (the smell of which would without a doubt awaken the doe-eyed young fae,) she decided not to. As her handmaid, it was Saria’s job to get her ready for the day, style her hair, and dress her... but on that morning in particular, Tatiana had no pressing appointments or duties to attend to. Saria would let her sleep, let her dream -- because one day -- far off as it was --  she knew that Tatiana would be thrust into the bitter politics of being a High Lady. Better to give her restful mornings like these before they were no more.
Creeping quietly out of the room, Saria made sure to shut the door without making a sound -- all the while, cradling a basket of the princess’ dresses and night gowns that needed a good washing against her hip. A soft smile dimpled her freckled cheeks as she peeked at the princess once more through the crack in the door, and finally, closed it behind her and set out to start her chores for the day. Tatiana had a fitting this evening, and she’d been tasked with bringing her measurements to the royal tailor. She would need to go to the market to find the rights flowers for her hair -- and she could pick up her favorite cakes while she was there, too, for when she finally decided to take on the day.  Then there was washing the basket of clothes, fixing the holes in the princess’s stockings... washing her bedding once she woke, too.
Lost in thought and going over how much time she would need for her tasks of the day, Saria scarcely noticed the knight that walked past her -- she stopped to curtsey, of course, but had little time to pay attention to the features of his face... Until he had walked right past her, and she was turning around to face him once more as the color drained from her own. The basket in her hands all but slipped through her fingers, and in her shock she was unable to catch it as fabric tumbled to the floor.
She knew his face -- it had taken a moment (how many years it seemed to have been, and it had taken her a moment before the realization had hit her so squarely in the chest. But it was him. Her knight, her first of everything -- love, kiss, and... and something much more intimate, before he had left her behind.
“H-hazar?” She barley squeaked,  her skin and palms of her hands suddenly going clammy and damp. Saria had expected that chapter of her life to be closed forever, had expected the tears she had shed to mean the end of it all. But there he was, just feet from her, in the same castle as none other than Viktor Valentina, whom just days ago had saved her from a frozen fate. “Y-you... but y-you... you l-left, y-you’re not... supposed t-to be h-here --” Saria had to swallow her words as her voice cracked, an embarrassed flush creeping up her neck and all the way to her delicately pointed ears. “Y-you... you moved to M-matovaya Zemlya?”

~*{ saria & viktor }*~
@voxdaemonica
Five days -- it had been five entire days since Saria Young had taken the plunge and left behind the only home she had ever known to move to the Winter Court. Five days entire since she’d come into the service of Princess Tatiana Valentina, and five entire days since she’d felt the Spring sunshine on her dainty hummingbird wings. Truly, she’d never thought a place could be this cold. For someone who had lived the whole of her life surrounded by warm breezes and blossoms, the change in climate was enough to make the nervous stutter in her voice seem ten times worse as she tried to stop the chattering of her teeth.
But even she couldn’t deny how breath taking the landscape here was. Sure, nothing matched the splendor of the flowering meadows and flowery fields of her former home, but Winter? It was something all of its own. Ethereal, bathed in ivory snow and an endless sheen of icicles that glimmered like diamonds in the morning sunlight. It was almost as if by stepping out of the comfort of Deerling Castle, she’d walked through a portal and into another world all together.
And she’d gone five entire days too nervous to explore it.
This court was supposed to be where her father was from -- why had she taken so long to venture out into the unknown? She was from Avalon City, of course, but half of her very makeup was supposedly meant for the snow and the ice and the cold. In another life, she might have even grown up here -- might have been used to the way the chill nipped at her tiny blush and teal feathered wings, and might have even been able to walk around without a dozen layers of warm fabric and furs like her new peers did.
She was practically blanketed in clothing. A long sleeved tunic, warm wool sweater, and what felt like a far too big fur coat. She’d abandoned her handmaid’s dress for her little adventure, instead donning a simple pair of fleece leggings, as well as leather, fur lined boots that Arielle had insisted she take with her. The boots were probably the nicest thing she owned; despite telling Arielle that she didn’t need any gifts, her friend had insisted. Saria found herself thankful that the Spring Princess had not let her return them -- without them, her tiny toes would have surely frozen solid and fallen off.
She was especially thankful for them now as she waded through ankle deep snow, her wings tight against her back and hidden beneath all the layers of her winter clothing. To anybody who didn’t know her, she looked human. Well, human, or a fae who was able to glamour them away -- a skill she did not have as a lesser fae. Human, and quite out of place, considering the native people of Matovaya Zemlya could walk through the frozen wonderland without a thing on and never feel the cold. But it was something she was determined to get used to... one step at a time.
Saria’s morning adventure was the first of many, she’d decided, and had taken her outside of the Valentina’s palace. She’d followed a small frozen stream for what felt like miles in the snow, though when she turned around, she could still see the structure rising above the tree line. Good, she thought. I don’t want to go too far. The lesser fae had a bad habit of daydreaming, getting caught up in her own thoughts and imagination whenever she wasn’t working, and though she was determined not to get too distracted, today was no different. As she walked along the stream, it slipped her notice that she had traveled closer and closer; and soon, the stream had turned into a small lake, though the ice was completely covered with fine powder.
It was because of that beautiful camouflage that Saria didn’t notice that she had strayed onto the frozen surface. Nor did she notice the great beast that was circling in the sky above her -- though as the sound of it’s mighty call pierced through the winter landscape, the handmaid whirled around. Eyes widening and her breath catching in her throat, Saria came face to face with a hawk-colored griffin -- devastatingly beautiful, but terrifying all the same.
“The griffins are being friendly!” Tatiana had assured her after Saria asked of them when the younger princess had given her a tour of the grounds. But the griffin before her did not seem at all friendly -- unlike the tame beasts within the Valentina stables, this one in particular seemed wild. But... but Saria had told herself she would stop assuming things in this new life that had begun for her. Just because something seemed terrifying, didn’t mean it was.
“H-hello, aren’t you h-handsome?” Saria called across the snow covered lake, slowly lifting her mittened hand to show that she didn’t mean any harm. The griffin cocked his head to the side -- bird like -- and regarded her cooly, yet made no move toward her. It simply starred at her, it’s feline eyes curious but guarded. “You’re a f-friend, r-right? I-I could u-use a new friend or t-two. I d-don’t really have a-any here yet. H-hmm? How does t-that sound?” She cooed at him, and slowly, she inched a foot forward... only for the beast to cry out. Saria startled, releasing a small scream, and covered her ears with her hands as the great cry sliced across the snow and ice once more. Oh, no. Oh no, no, no. Little did Saria know, someone was watching the scene unfold -- and little did she know that the beautiful frozen lake had begun to spider-web beneath her feet as the griffin reared back on it’s great hind legs and charged.

Jeweled Legacy
Master jewelers are those who never stop honing their craft. Clearly, you've given this a lot of consideration. This obvious fact is extremely painful to hear after suffering a loss Custom Fabrication The rings look fairly similar at first glance, yet upon closer scrutiny, there are clear distinctions between them.

If these things had been checked and maintained more frequently, maybe none of these breakdowns would have happened. We can gladly repair your damaged jewelry at no additional cost if you bring it in.
Diamonds are held in place by the "claws" of the prongs in jewelry settings. The people who had the stones previously had them given back to them. Currently, our technology is woefully insufficient. The prongs are easily damaged by even a single stray hair or thread. Doing so may cause damage to the diamond in your finger.
Due to constant use, one of the prongs on our ring has "pancaked," or flattened. One of the numerous renowned jewelers in Santa Barbara can "re-tip" your jewelry with new metal, giving it a like-new appearance. Take extra precautions if you aren't used to working with sharp objects. "pancaked" may refer to "having the consistency of a pancake after being battered." The old prong tip must be desoldered before the new one can be soldered on. If you do as I say, you will be successful.
If you don't regularly inspect your precious stone using a loupe, you run the danger of losing it. Choosing a wedding ring is a very meaningful rite. You shouldn't measure your ring more often than once every few months, even if it's always on your finger. You shouldn't have any problems as long as you do this every three months. Stone may last for centuries if cared for properly. We can't put off dealing with these problems for the time being. After the changes were implemented, the incidence rate dropped.
There is a noticeable decline in the wall's condition.
You can save a lot of money by purchasing stone directly from a quarry rather than from a retailer. The removal of the stones from the body is a multi-stage process Restring Necklaces and Bracelets Making jewelry out of strange materials is a delightful challenge for some individuals. Because of their outward resemblance, morganite and diamond are frequently misunderstood for one another. If you want a reflective gemstone that won't break the bank, morganite is your best bet.

Stones can be cleaned and prepared for reinstallation with the use of a stiff synthetic brush or wire brush and compressed air after being removed from their mountings. Time to start putting the machine back together again. "Mature" rocks are those that have developed to their full geological potential. Reattaching dislodged stones requires a caulking gun and masonry adhesive. Avoid getting the bead string snagged.
One easy way to give a vintage ring a modern vibe is to switch out the setting in which the stones are presented. The word "Halo" immediately comes to mind whenever I hear this. This change is indicated by the brightest ring of the halo. The amount of stone that needs to be transported can be minimized with some planning ahead of time. Perspectives shift as time goes on.
Too much of a good thing? Could something like that ever happen? Get a professional inspection if you have doubts about the battery life or the safety of the clasp. You shouldn't feel bad about replacing the chain on your necklace or bracelet if it breaks. The ring's extra prongs highlight how delicate it is.
The twist-and-solder lid keeps whatever is within the flat container secure. Neither option is very time-consuming or tiresome. If a crimp bead on your necklace breaks or gets bent, you can easily replace it with a new one. It would be very difficult to create jewelry without crimp beads.
One way that fine jewelry stores can go above and beyond for their clients is by providing value-added services like cleaning for pearl necklaces. One of our most sought-after specialties is restringing pearl necklaces. In case of damage or loss, you may simply replace the stones and clasps. We have maids on hand to help you if you're having trouble keeping up with the cleaning on your own.
Adjustments "Fatigue" is the traditional term for worn jewelry. This metal is inappropriate because of how quickly it corrodes. Clamps, hinges, or rivets that are worn or corroded should be replaced. Hurricanes and blizzards are two examples of the extreme weather that can inflict significant destruction. One's point of view can shift only with age and life experience. The current situation appears to be rapidly deteriorating. Metal fatigue cracks can quickly widen if not treated. Over time, the surface cracks would have widened and become more noticeable. Beyond its "stress safety envelope," a material could fail catastrophically under stress. This process protects the metal against rust and oxidation. Indicators of a material's quality include its fatigue life, tensile strength, and yield strength. This strategy can't afford a single misstep. Offering incentives to early adopters could be the key to solving all of our issues. If you're finding that your home is becoming too claustrophobic, rearranging the furniture may help. Careful handling can extend the life of the component. Corrosion is more prone to set in on metals that have been notched, slotted, or keywayed. Everyone was taken aback by the abrupt turn of events. Possible causes for this unpredictable behavior include changes in shear stress.

I’ve already mentioned these on the discord, but thought I might as well submit them now. I wrote a couple little DDLitG fanfics inspired by the Friendship arc - “Alternate Solutions”, which is short and silly, and “A Friend In Love Is A Friend In Need”, which is less short and serious. Both are available in the linked thread.
