Perfect Paradise Ch.14:
The Risen are Ridden with Rhythm and Dance
Summary: On the Shadow Path.
-----------------------
"How disturb-ox," Caramba muttered, rubbing the "chin" of his short, round, yellow exosuit.
Looking through the data on his other arm's wrist screen. Caramba paced the length of the Chaos. Occasionally glancing at the waters of the Seine below.
"How did they open a vortex without a Blix?' Carapace asked.
"They didn't," Cece slid down the mast onto the main deck of the Chaos. "The astronomical rings you described are an Aerian dimensional anchor. They must've waited for a vortex to open in the general vicinity of France and redirected it to Paris."
Rena Rouge smacked her fist into her palm. "That's why it didn't close! They were keeping the vortex open because it was their only way back."
"But what were they after?" Carapace asked.
"You have a matriarch in that zoo of yours don'tcha?" Zak pointed out.
"The Blix? Isn't it a bit big?" Rena held her hands up and moved them apart to represent the relative size of the giant jellyfish and the pirate ship.
"Never stopped them from trying before," Cece replied.
"An entire dimension between her and the Triangle and these boneheads still can't leave her alone. Typical," Zak muttered.
"I hear you dude," Carapace said.
"It was definitely one of Caligo's missing ships." Caramba pulled his robotic limbs in and rolled his spherical exosuit towards Cece. Popping back to his feet and showing her his wrist screen. "Look at the engine signature."
"Caligo?" Rena asked.
"Admiral Caligo. He's the only skeleton with an eye patch," Zak explained.
Rena Rouge's brow furrowed. "Why would a skeleton need an eye patch?"
"What's more surprising is that you can detect anything at all, little dude," Carapace said.
Caramba opened the face screen of his exosuit. The small green alien grinned, single antenna bobbing. "Wahoolian technology is far more advance-ox than Earth standard. The only civilization that comes close is- No, I shouldn't say."
"Spoilsport," Rena muttered, disappointed at not getting a hint.
"If my calculations are correct the rate at which viable vortexes are appearing outside the Bermuda Triangle is stabilizing," Caramba stated.
"That's good. Right? That sounds good," Carapace observed.
"It's within expectations," Caramba shrugged.
"Huh?" Rena gave them a confused look.
"Remember when I unlocked the Triangle twenty-ish years ago?" Zak asked.
"Vaguely."
"Vortexes started opening sporadically across the Earth due to so many dimensions of null-time being... Reattached, so to speak," Cece explained. "The imbalance only delayed the stabilization process. Now that Carapace's ward is in place it appears the metaphysics of the Triangle is making up for lost time."
The present members of the Seven C's laughed at what was probably an inside joke.
"Hear that Turtle dude? Progress already!" Zak held his arm up for a fist bump. Carapace obliged.
"However, it does mean that more vortexes are safe to travel through," Caramba said. "Usually exiting the Triangle would send you back to the time and place you entered it."
"But skeletons were never ones for rules," Cece said.
"Neither are we," Zak grinned.
"You think they'll try again?" Rena Rouge asked.
"Unlikely. Timeline pirates have to contend with the temporal authorit-ox of Timesters, your own Bunnyx and the anti-paradox magic of the Bermuda Triangle itself. Coming back is just asking to get caught."
"Silver lining. I'll take it," Carapace grinned.
Zak rubbed his hands together. "Great! Then we're done. And since we're already here might as well go sight seeing!"
"Uh, don't you think an Atlantian and a Wahoolian will attract attention? Paris pretty much assumes anyone weird is an akuma nowadays."
"Rena Rouge is correct Zak Storm," Cece agreed. "We would stand out."
"I've thought of that!" Caramba raised a finger and then brought it down on a device in his hand.
A holographic field spread out from it. Zak's sword vanished. Caramba appeared like a short, pudgy boy in a yellow shirt. And Cece's clothes changed to more surface appropriate attire. Her hair was still pink but the scales on her forehead and the points of her ears disappeared.
Cece touched the invisible fins along her forearms to make sure they were still there. "And this is why Atlantians don't like visiting the surface."
"Aw, c'mon!" Zak wrapped an arm around her shoulders. Already walking down the ramp. "It'll be fun! We can visit an aquarium if you get land sick."
"Very funny, Zak Storm."
Caramba stretched his exosuit arm from the walkway on the bank of the Seine to pat the Chaos' hull. "We'll be back before you know it!"
The Chaos' eyes glowed briefly as he acknowledged their departure.
Rena glanced down at them, still on the deck, and pointed. "Should we?"
Nino waved her concern away. "Ah, let 'em be tourists. They deserve a break."
"I thought you said there were seven of them?"
"Yeah, two of 'em are spending time with family in the Middle Ages and one's in the Golden Age of Piracy. Apparently."
"Shut up!"
"I'm serious! Time doesn't flow linearly in the Triangle. You know that, dude."
"I keep forgetting that they're older than they look."
"Zak and Cece are about our age."
"They look twenty!"
"Yeah, they don't spend much time outside the Triangle... Or at least Zak doesn't. Atlantian dudes do age slower than us."
"I'd be jealous if it didn't come with temporal displacement trauma."
"You still look beautiful, dude."
"I'll have you know that I'm not the type of girl who fools around with another man's husband."
"Ha, ha," but Nino couldn't quite hide his smile.

Villains
I have my fauvorite type of villains in books or movies. And also I have the leat fauvorite type. And we will discuss it today.
My least fauvorite type.
I watch a lot of kids shows because I have younger brother and sometimes it`s just interesting to look at them. But I started to notice the common trope in some of them. Usually villains are really dumb and have some kind of sidekick that they yell at all the time. And also they easily become angry. I just hate it because the villains dosen`t seem like a serious threat and I can`t take them seriously. And also they are not cool or anything. Like I can do a better job as a villain if I took their place.
Some examples: Zak Storm; Mia and me I think I have more somewhere but I am too lazy to find the names
My most fauvorite type
I like when villains are smart. Like they can easily outsmart the heroes. And always one step ahead of them. Also I like when they don`t show emotions. Also sometimes they are mysterious which I think is really cool. They seem like a major threat and sometimes you are not sure the heroes would win.
Examples: Dream from fanfic Passerine Again I should have wrote more but I can`t remember any now

Something between vortex.
This is a One-shoot fic from Zak storm and is crosposted in Fanfiction.com There is under the name of aketzali-chan. Enjoy!
https://jey-chan.tumblr.com/post/176160426581/something-between-vortex-2 (Chap 2)
Chaos was a good boat.
Scratch that. Chaos was the best boat.
He is the best boat in the triangle, the most quickly one, the most durable one, the best one to go around the seven magical seas of the triangle, the one with deadly weapons that can help at much to do damage.
And He was the only boat alive in the entire universe! Wohooo! Take that simple boats of the seas! Chaos is the only living boat in the time and space!
Oh but do you know what is better to know that?
His crew.
He had people living inside him, traveling around the world, making explosions, discovering new things that are a lithe complexed for him but also interesting and awesome
He is the happiest boat in the seven seas because of that.
And the People were really good people!
They are so different from each other but at the same time, they are so identicals. They all are good people.
Clovis had been with him for a long time. So long that they had forgotten how long he had been there, the ghost child was a good swing away things kid.
He is always trying to be useful to the mission but he is more than happy to help with checking whatever thing that goes ahead. Taking care of those bad manners skeletons that sometimes try to scale him, talking with him and making sure that he is okay even in the lows days. So yeah he likes the ghost boy.
Another one that he likes much is Caramba. The little green alien in the very funny but useful robot costume that use to walk and do things in, was really skilled in the repair and inventory thing! He never mist the manteinmint, does it gently and even asked him if things are okay!, yup he really really like Caramba.
Cici was a good woman.
A gold second in command one too! she was the best to know all things, putting away to where to go and doing so funny things that help him be an even better ship! She definitely was the best second in command in the world!.
Cragar was rude and odd but caring and strong! He was the best to defend him and making Clovis last! He makes Cici feel safe and made Caramba a little worried but is okay! He is a good boy that knows how to tell creatures to stop trying to eat him.
Calabrass was…. interesting.
The sword had been glued to his mastil for ages until Good Little Captain had come.
The talking magic man/sword had been a little mannerless to his likings and suddenly we are besties in a way.
But definitely, He likes Zak the most.
The kid was a genius! He knows when to attack and when is time to fly! Zak knows when he needs a little pat in the wheel and believe in him to do the right choices in a battle, he asks when wanting something and had the beds crazy but very good and working plans! Zak also plays with Clovis, and always try to understand what he said in the boat language, and sometimes he did! Oh, and he is always defending him! it's so good when your captain just tell to the world that mind themselves cause this boat is alive and you should respect him.
And the best thing is when Zak said he is a good ship with a pat on the wheel. It's made him so happy! Because that reaffirm that he is the best boat in all the word!
Zak is his youngest captain but so far is the best one.
So yes. Chaos like Zak, Clovis and Caramba the most.
They are his favorite people in all the triangle and no one can change that!
So this is the first chapter I hope you enjoyed it and let us know what you think about it! Thank you for reading and hope you have a great day/night! (Btw, I tag @edorazzi  and  @clovis-the-ghost  ‘cause they deserve to know there is an expanding fandom of Zak Storm.)

Building Trust
A Zak Storm fanfiction
Synopsis: Making friends always takes a while, but when you’re a poltergeist trying to befriend an alien who’s afraid of ghosts, this while may be longer.
Why I am throwing a fanfiction into an almost nonexistent fandom
(One-shot)
    - This ship is… Quite unusual. - Caramba looked around. The Chaos seemed like a good ship, but its high speed would make the alien unstable. The way the ship would change the sail's position by itself and the skull on its front were also things that scared Caramba.
The newest crew on the Bermuda Triangle had just fled from Marituga, leaving a bunch of defeated skeletons behind. They still needed a name.
    - No need to worry! The Chaos is the best ship on the Triangle! - Clovis showed up from the floor. He was excited to meet the new members aboard. - Hello, fish girl!
    - My name is Chrysta Coraline Lejune and I am not a fish!
    - Hello, viking dude!
    - Hi!
    - Hello… Robot? Are you a robot?
Caramba stared at Clovis for a while, unable to move. There was a ghost right in front of him, talking to him, and slowly approaching. He already felt uncomfortable with the Chaos, and now it turned out it was haunted.
    He was frozen, scared.
    - Hello? Can you hear me? - The child was confused. Why wasn't the newcomer answering him?
As he tried to touch the robot, Caramba runned backwards, almost falling from the boat.
    - G-g-ghost!! You're a ghost!! Stay a-a-away f-from me!! Stay away!! Stay away!! - The alien runned, screaming, towards the cabin. He locked the door as soon as he got there, no longer screaming, but with a heavy breath, and stayed as far from the door as he could.
    - Wait, please! - The spirit kid passed through the locked door. - You don't need to be afarid of me! I am not bad!
    - Ghosts aren't real!! You're not real!!
    - Yes I am!
    - No no no no… Step back!! Don't come any closer!! - Both of them started crying at that moment.
    - Why are you treating me like this?!
    - Clovis, come here!! - Zak called him. He obeyed, leaving the alien alone.
    - Zak, is it something I've said?? Why doesn't he want to talk to me??
    - He may be… Afraid of ghosts.
    - But I didn't do anything!!
    - I know! It's alright, I will talk to him. Stay here with the others, okay?
The child nodded and wiped his tears.
    - I am Crogar, and Crogar is not afraid of ghosts! Crogar is not afraid of anything! - The viking approached in an attempt to make Clovis feel better, succeeding.
Seeing that the other newcomers were going to keep Clovis distracted, Zak knocked on the cabin's door. - Caramba? It's me, Zak Storm. Could you open the door?
    - Is the ghost still there? - He replied with a jittery, tearful voice.
    - Yes… But he's not coming in. Just me and Calabrass.
The teenager expected another reply, but all he got was the sound of the door being unlocked.
    - Hey, buddy, what was that? - He said as he entered the cabin.
    - You didn't tell me that this ship was haunted. - Caramba locked the door again. - You didn't tell me there was a ghost in the crew.
    - First of all, he is not exactly a ghost, he just lost his body. And second, I had no clue you were going to freak out!
    - I'm afraid, Zak!
    - You two will have to get along eventually! - Calabrass said. They were going to be part of the same crew after all.
    - It's okay, I won't judge you for being afraid; but look, Clovis just wants to be friends with you. How about we get out and you say hi to him? - The young captain suggested calmly.
    - NO!! I… I can't.
Zak sighed. This was going to take a while.
4 days after that, the crew was already named “7Cs”. Caramba didn't get out of the cabin a lot, but whenever he did, he would take a look on the scenario to make sure Clovis wasn't around. If he was, he would go back to the indoors.
    - Hey Zak… - The kid flied away from the sail and kept floating near his captain. - How long is it going to take?
    - Excuse me, what are you talking about?
    - Caramba! You told me that befriending him would take a while, but whenever he sees me, he flees! How are we ever going to be friends if I can't even say hi?!
    - I know you didn't do anything to him, but he's afraid, and we must respect that. - Cece approached and answered the question for Zak. - Encouraging to face it, sure, but respecting. Caramba will get used to your presence sooner or later.
    - It sounds like it's going to take forever… - Clovis replied in a bored tone.
Zak thought for a while and had an idea. - Look, I know something you can do to help! - He said before explaining his plan. Clovis didn't really like the plan, but it was an effective way of showing Caramba his good intentions, so he accepted it without hesitation.
The next time Caramba got out of the cabin, Clovis made sure to disappear before he closed the door.
    - Where did he go? - The alien asked.
    - Who knows! - Zak said, smiling. - But he's not here, so you can come!
Things stayed like this for about a week. It didn't matter if Clovis was having fun or in the middle of a conversation: as soon as Caramba showed up, he would go away. Sometimes disappearing with a poof, sometimes diving into the floor, sometimes flying to the top of the sail. Even though Caramba was actually enjoying it, it was starting to concern him.
    - Captain…
    - Yes?
    - Why does the ghost get out whenever I come? I may not be comfortable around him, but that doesn't mean I want him to isolate himself or to stop being around the others.
    - Oh, don't worry! He comes back when you get out. It's just that he wants to make sure you're comfortable aboard the Chaos.
Caramba felt bad for the situation. - That's… Really nice of him.
    - You should give him a chance. - Calabrass said before Zak could say anything.
The engineer took a deep breath. - I will.
On the following day, Caramba got out of the cabin to eat the lunch Crogar had cooked. Clovis was around, but not eating, and sinked into the floor with the sight of the ET.
    - Wait! Come back, ghost! - He said.
Clovis came back and kept floating in front of the robot. He didn't expect that, and with the large smile, anyone could notice how happy he was. Caramba felt the sensation of being frozen again, but he wouldn't run away this time. The two stared at each other for a while, all the other crewmates watching.
    - We didn't have a proper first meeting. May we have one now? - Clovis broke the silence and approached the robot a little. Caramba's reaction was to take a quick step backwards.
    - Not yet.
Clovis sighed. - Fine… Take your time. - Well, at least that was a beginning, right?
Caramba was no longer bothered by Clovis' presence, but he still wouldn't talk to the poltergeist.
The talks started gradually and slowly. A hi here, a how are you there, a joke, and it took more than a month for Caramba to treat Clovis normally, like he would treat Cece and Crogar.
Clovis? Yeah, sure, he was very happy, but he still asked himself one thing.
“Has the fear been fully erased? Or is he still afraid but trying hard not to demonstrate it?”
    The answer came eventually.
    - Hey Clovis… - The kid was, as usually, sitting on the sail when Caramba approached during a random evening.
    - Yes? - He flew down.
    - I'm… - Caramba clearly wasn't happy. - … I'm sorry for how I treated you in our first meeting.
    - Oh, it's alright!
    - Really?
    - Of course!
    - Well, this is not our first meeting, but we should make believe it was, so we can have a proper one! - Caramba was happier now, and the robot's screen showed a smile.
    - Sure! Ahem, I am Clovis! I am not a ghost and I like jokes! - The boy reached out for a handshake.
For his surprise, the robot opened, revealing a cute small green creature inside of it.
    - My name is Caramba, and I'm a Wahoolian! I like, uh… Technology, I guess? Nice to meet you! - The green alien reached out for the handshake as well, but his arms were so small he couldn't reach Clovis'.
    - You're… Not a robot?!! - The child asked, still not believing his eyes, while allowing Caramba to have the handshake with just one finger.
The ET giggled. - No, I am not a robot.
    - What is a Wahoolian?
    - Is how those who are born in the planet Wahoo are called!
    - So you're an alien! This is so so so cool!!
    - Thanks!
    - You're… Small! And cute!
    - Thanks…?
    - You look like a toy!! - Clovis started laughing, not realizing Caramba was slightly embarrassed.
The robot closed itself. - That's why I always stay inside my robot. Wahoolians are very fragile, and the Triangle is a very hostile place. - A bit of fear was noticeable in his voice.
The two kept talking about the Triangle, but that's not the point. The point is: that situation made Clovis feel sure that Caramba truly trusted him.
If he used the robot to protect himself from danger, and opened it in front of Clovis, that could only mean that he didn't see any danger in Clovis.
The fear had been fully erased. They were friends.

21, 23 and 27 for the end of the year asks. also, chapter seven (and chapter six) were so amazing and definitely worth every second of the wait!! ❤️
21.  most memorable comment/review
Ironically, the more douche-y reviews are the ones I remember more, so my one entitled critiquer has the most memorable comments just because I’m appalled by the sheer audacity. I get way more positive reviews than negative ones, so the negative ones tend to stand out more. But I do appreciate each and every comment that I get from everyone even if it’s just “kudos”
23.  fics you wanted to write but didn’t
There have been several fics over the years that I’ve wanted to write but never got around to. Some ideas I do intend to get around to eventually maybe next year, but overall I have wanted to do a Zak Storm crossover for a while now, but have never gotten around to actually doing it. Also the rewrite of Lady du Coeur. I just haven’t been able to decide what I want to do with it.
27.  favorite fanfic author of the year
So, I don’t tend to read much outside of what I write, but my twin @lnc2 writes some good shit. I need to read several things over Christmas break, so maybe I’ll have a better answer for you after that XD

Tag! Get to know me!
Rules: Always post the rules. Tag 11 new people you’d like to know better!
Tagged by @opalxempress
Tagging (with no pressure to do it): @haospart, @hoiist, @toomanyoperatives, @the-sith-in-the-sky-with-diamond, and @lanabenikoisagodess. Sorry if any of you were already tagged.
1. Dogs or Cats?
It doesn’t matter to me as long as I can cuddle it and it will cuddle me back.
2. YouTube celebrities or normal celebrities?
I enjoy the curated content on Youtube, but I think @opalxempress put it quite nicely: “Don’t put people on pedestals, they will inevitably fall off and crush you if you’re standing too close.”
3. If you could live anywhere where would that be?
By my girlfriend’s side.
4. Disney or DreamWorks?
I like to mouth off about the conglomerate mouse
5. Favorite childhood TV show?
The Last Airbender as well as its successor, The Legend of Korra. However, there are a lot of shows I enjoyed when I was younger. Funny, since I don’t really watch any shows anymore.
6. The movie you’re looking forward to most in 2020?
Like shows, I don’t watch many movies. I’m going to cheat a little and say The Rise of Skywalker, because it’s practically 2020. It’s also the only movie I’m probably going to go out and watch for the next year.
7. Favorite book you read in 2019?
White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo. I’m a leader in my school’s club for “social justice” (for lack of a better way to describe it), so this book has been incredibly helpful and enlightening in educating myself and others on how to talk about racism with white people.
8. Marvel or DC?
Marvel
9. If you choose Marvel favorite member of the X-Men? If you choose DC favorite Justice League member?
Rogue, Jean, or Storm. I also kind of like Professor X, Magneto, and Mystique.
I watched the X-Men movies a lot when I was younger with my dad, and the themes of these young adults/teens struggling with their identities in the face of societal oppression (essentially) hit close to home for me. I haven’t watched any of the movies in awhile, and I never finished the Wolverine series, but I still get that warm feeling one experiences when they wax nostalgic.
10. Night or Day?
Any hours outside of school hours are friends of mine. Except the entire day of Sunday.
Sundays give me anxiety.
11. Favorite Pokemon?
I never really got into Pokemon. Walking around and suddenly getting stopped to fight really pissed me off. I liked riding the bike around in Diamond and Pearl though.
Anyways Snorlax.
12. Top 5 bands/artists:
I have a niche music taste, but...
Tesseract
Bring Me The Horizon
Nightwish
Gorillaz
Phantoms
The top three I listen to religiously. The rest just happen to be bands I listen to consistently; most of the music I enjoy is just a song I liked and saved to my library or added to a playlist of similar songs.
13. Top 10 books.
I’m gonna be honest, I read more fanfiction than I do books, however some books/series that I enjoyed were
Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
The How to Train Your Dragon series by Cressida Cowell (read these concurrently with my father when I was younger, those were fun days)
The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison
White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo
Things Fall Apart/The African Trilogy Chinua Achebe
The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
1984 by George Orwell
The Terrorists Son by Zak Ebrahim
14. Top 4 movies
In no particular order
Rogue One
The Hobbit
The LotR Series (all of them yes)
Toy Story 1-3 (I have not seen 4)
and because im a sucker for melodrama i liked revenge of the sith
15. US or Europe?
Ask me again after 2020.
16. Tumblr or Twitter?
Don’t even have a Twitter.
17. Favorite vacation destination?
My family is big on Disney World.
18. Favorite YouTuber?
Lindsay Ellis. She makes very engaging video essays on media, particularly movies and shows. I’m not a film lit student, and yet she manages to bring me back for all of her videos, and then some!
19. Favorite author ?
I look at authors like I do music; I like books, and if I happen to click with a particular author, they’re an outlier. However, Cressida Cowell paved the road for my reading habits to take off on for many years as a child, and I love how much I bonded with my father over her books.
20. Tea or Coffee?
Coffee all the way.
21. OTP?
Not counting ships with OCs (sorry SWTOR), and the order is intentional
Rizzles - I believe there might be some controversy with this ship, but I never actually watched the show. A long time ago, I stumbled across a fanfic author named colormetheworld who captured my little, lesbian mind with her rendition of this ship, so it’s a bit personal, to be terse.
Clexa - Again, I never watched the show. There wasn’t really a single author that got me interested in this ship, but Lightning Only Strikes Once
Whiterose - I’m just a fan of the opposites attract trope.
Wayhaught - It’s nice to have positive representation (knock on wood).
Bumbleby
22. Do you play an instrument/sing?
I can play the guitar, piano, drums, though I’m incredibly rusty at the latter two, and unfortunately I had a run in with the recorder back in middle school.
Also “unfortunate run in” would be a good descriptor for my singing voice, because that would be an accident. Or just a straight up disaster.

Hidden World
(For the Jumanji prompt. Sorry it’s short, but I didn’t want another novella on my hands, lol. I already have one, well, technically three, that I’m trying to write and I have to limit myself. I might return to this at a later point, when I’m not trying to juggle two hugs fanfics and an original. Also, I know there isn’t that much Mericcup in here, but it really was trying to become another novella, lol.)
“Why are we here again?” asked Chrysta Lejune, better known as CC to her friends. She and three other teens, Zak Storm, Hiccup Haddock, and Merida Dunbroch, were standing in Zak’s basement. She had asked his father the question.
Mr. Storm chuckled. “This is your assignment. Your teacher wasn’t specific on what you needed to do, so, I’m deciding that you’ll get to clean out out our basement.” CC, Hiccup, and Merida glanced around the basement. It really wasn’t that bad.
“But what are we supposed to do?” asked Hiccup. “Part of the assignment was to clean up. There’s practically nothing here to clean!”
“You’re going to complain about that?” asked Merida.
“Well no, not really,” said Hiccup slowly. “But this is going to our grade, and I want a good grade.”
Mr. Storm chuckled again. “Don’t worry Hiccup, you’ll get a great grade. Provided you do as I ask you.” He pointed at Zak. “That mean you too, young man.”
Zak grinned sheepishly. “Right, Dad.” He leaned towards Hiccup and whispered, “Besides, it will give you and Merida a chance to get to spend some time together.”
Hiccup began to blush. “Shh!”
“Now here’s what I want you to do.” Mr. Storm began giving them instructions. First off, they were going to sort by items, i.e. clothes, papers, wooden items, if any, etc. Then they would sort by trash, recycling, to sell, and keeping. Zak knew the majority of what would go where, but if he wasn’t sure, then he would ask his dad to take a look, provided Mr. Storm wasn’t helping out a customer. When Mr. Storm was satisfied that they knew the instructions well enough, he left them to open the store. The four fell into a pretty rhythmatic sorting, pulling things off shelves and sorting them into different categories. Things were mostly quiet, that is, the four really didn’t speak much to each other, until Hiccup gave a shout. The other three ran to his side.
“What is it?” asked Merida.
“What’s wrong?” asked CC.
“Uh, what in the world is that doing here?” asked Zak, pointing at the thing Hiccup was holding.
“Well, that’s why I yelled,” said Hiccup. “Part of the reason, anyway. This thing gave me an electric shock!”
“Huh,” said Zak, taking the thing from Hiccup. “Does that mean it runs on electricity?”
“Wait, you’ve never seen this before?” asked CC.
Zak shook his head as he turned over the thing. “No, but I think it looks like a PS game of some sort. Might explain why it shocked Hiccup.” He walked over to a TV and plugged it in. The screen flickered to life, and the symbol of a dragon appeared, followed by the word “begin”. “Huh, it is a game.”
“Wait, there’s a game in your house that you don’t know about?” asked CC incredulously.
Zak shot her a look. “Obviously.” He looked back at the screen. “I wonder why my dad didn’t tell me about it.”
“Unless he forgot about it,” suggested Hiccup.
Zak shrugged. “It’s possible. Well, let’s play.”
“What?” blurted Hiccup and CC.
Zak pointed at the room. “We’re about halfway done. I think we can pause for a break, don’t you think? Besides, it’s not like we have to spend all day cleaning.”
“He has a point,” said Merida with a shrug. “But, how do we play?”
“Hang on,” said Zak. He rummaged around in the electronics section and found four controllers. Merida helped him plug them in. Zak pushed a button, and the screen changed to to having four icons in the corners of the screen and several sentences in the middle. “Huh,” said Zak, getting closer to read the print. “‘Dragons are being hunted left and right in an attempt to rid the world of them. But you know of an old seafaring tale, that of a place so secret that no one but dragons can get to. Find this Hidden World and save the dragons.’” He pointed at each of the icons. “There are four characters, a Scottish princess, an Atlantean princess, a pirate captain, and a Viking chief.”
“OK, that kinda sounds interesting,” said Hiccup as he picked up a controller.
“I’m curious too,” said CC. “Atlantis could be the Hidden World.”
“It might not be,” said Hiccup, “otherwise the game would have said so.”
“Well, I’m going to be the pirate captain,” said Zak as he quickly made his selection.
“Calling the Atlantean princess!” CC shouted and clicked on the icon.
Merida groaned. “I guess I’ll be the Scottish princess then.”
Hiccup sighed. “And that leaves me with the big, burly Viking chief.”
“Hey, you’ll be big for once in your life, huh?”
Hiccup eyed Zak. “If you weren’t one of my closest friends, I would pummel you.”
Zak grinned mischievously. “You mean you’d try?”
“Well, if he’s a buff, burly Viking Chief, he can,” said Merida with a grin.
Zak glanced at the screen. “Yeah, it would also help if you selected your character.”
Hiccup looked a the screen, blinking. “Oh, I thought I clicked it already.”
Zak scoffed and pointed at it. “Well, it’s saying you didn’t, so go ahead and click it . . . please.”
Hiccup rolled his eyes. “Oh, alright, since you  asked so nicely . . . sorta.” Zak grinned as Hiccup pushed the button to select the Viking chief.
“Alright!” There was a pause as they waited on the screen to change, but nothing happened.
“Uh, is it broken?” asked CC as she glanced at Zak.
Zak pushed all the buttons on his controller and pounded it before letting out a grunt. “Oh come on! Ugh! It must be frozen. At least we didn’t start the game yet.”
“Um, maybe it’s not meant for the TV?” asked Hiccup as Zak put down his controller and walked to the TV.
“But it has the right cords for it! Well, we can try it again, and if it freezes again, then we’ll try the computer.” Zak tapped the TV screen. The screen seemed to ripple. Zak took a startled step back.
“Uh, Zak, what’s going on?” asked CC.
“I, I don’t know . . . maybe we should . . . ah!” The ripple began to swirl and seemed to turn into a whirlpool. “Run!” But before anyone could take another step, the whirlpool widened and engulfed them all.
The next thing Hiccup remembered was that he was falling. He had barely let out a scream when he hit the ground. He rolled a few feet before picking himself up and dusting himself off. He paused when he noticed the change in his attire. “What the?” Instead of jeans and flannel, he was wearing black leather with red draconian symbols decorating his suit. He jumped when he heard a scream and a body falling to the ground near him. He rushed over to the person, and found it was Merida, dressed in a Scottish dress with a bow and quiver strapped to her back. “Merida? Are you alright?”
“I thought that fall would have hurt more,” she said as she stood up.
“I’ll take that to mean that you’re fine.”
Merida rolled her eyes. “Yes Hiccup, I’m fine, thank you for asking.” Two more yells came from their right and two more people fell to the ground.
“Zak, CC?”
“Who else?” muttered CC as she got up. She too was wearing a dress, sort of, her skirt was more of a skort with fishnet leggings . She also had fishnet leggings, matching gloves, a purple and yellow starfish on her bodice, anda golden coronet sitting on top of her head. Zak was wearing the typical pirate outfit, complete with an eye patch that had been pushed up so he could use both eyes. The two let out shrieks when they saw Hiccup and Merida, then each other, and finally at themselves.
“Hey! Where are my clothes?” blurted Zak.
“What is up with my hair?” blurted CC as she felt the pink ringlets.
Zak pulled a sword from his back. “Well, at least I hava cool sword.”
“Glad you think so, matey.” Zak dropped the sword as everyone screamed and dashed behind a couple of trees. “Ouch!”
“It it it it . . . it can talk!”
“It is Calabrass, and I’m supposed to help you find the Hidden World!” A roar echoed in the forest.
“Uh, what was that?” asked Hiccup.
“Oh, right, Toothless is supposed to help you too. He’s the last of the Nightfuries and the alpha dragon.”
CC threw up her hands. “Great! We got sucked into a video game where we get new clothes, and new hairstyles, plus we have a talking sword and dragons?”
“Well, this is a game about saving the dragons, so . . .” Zak shot her a sheepish grin and shrugged.
“But how do we get out of here?” asked Merida.
“In order to finish the game, you have to defeat Skullivar and Grimmel, and get Toothless and his mate to the Hidden World safe and sound. Without getting yourselves killed, of course.”
Hiccup threw up his hands. “Go figure.”
Merida raised her hand. “But, if we die here, do we die . . . for good?” The group glanced at each other in alarm.
“That, Mer, that . . . we really shouldn’t have started playing this game!”
“You’re telling me!”
CC glared at Zak. “Telling you? You’re the one who wanted to play it!”
Zak let out an exasperated breath. “How was I supposed to know we would get sucked into the game?”
Guys!” Everyone glanced at Hiccup. “Listen, we’re here now, we’re going to have to work together and finish playing the game to get out of here!”
“That’s the spirit!” said Calabrass enthusiastically. “I like that kid, Toothless.” The group turned, startled. There, sitting on either side of Calabrass were two dragons, one white, the other black.
“Aw!” said Merida as she dashed forward and began petting the black one. “You’re so cute!” The black dragon began panting like a dog. Hiccup started smiling softly.
“Oh, so you like her, huh, Toothless? I think you;’re not the only one.”
Zak walked up to the sword and picked it up. “What do you mean by that?” he asked with a soft chuckle.
“What? Don’t you know? Your . . . mmph!”
“Shh, I know!” whispered Zak. “It was a rhetorical question!” He removed his hand from the skeleton’s mouth.
“I see. Well then, we should get going! You don’t have much information on where the location of this Hidden World, and who knows when Skullivar and Grimmel could catch up to us. Let’s go!”
“Why would we believe you anyway? You’re a talking pirate sword!” said CC.
“I’m your only hope against Skullivar and Grimmel. Plus I can help you navigate the waters of the Bermuda Triangle.”
“The Bermuda Triangle?”
“Wait, did you just say the Bermuda Triangle?” asked CC incredulously.
“No, I said the Bermuda Square. Of course I said the Bermuda triangle! It’s one of the speculative theories that’s where the Hidden World is located.”
Zak groaned. “Oh great, we’re heading to one of the most deadly spots in the entire ocean!”
“But you’ll have me, and the dragons!” said Calabrass enthusiastically. “We’ll be able to help you through it!”
Hiccup sighed. “Well, we’d better get going and get this over with so we can get back home.”
“You got it! I’m really liking this kid.”
Zak groaned. “Really? I’m the pirate captain!”
“Doesn’t mean I have to like you. But you could grow on me. We’ll see.”
Zak groaned again, but the group got on the dragons and flew off, eager to just finish the game and find out exactly why this was happening to them.

vestiges of the night
Zak Storm fanfic. Summary: Zak has never woken up before sunrise in the Triangle, except today.
-
Zak awoke to the gentle rocking of the ship, chasing the echoes of yesterday’s dreams. They had been memories of summers at his family’s beach house, surfing Florida’s waves with Dad and late-night calls with friends. He burrowed his head into the pillow and willed himself back to sleep.
It didn’t work. The chill in the cabin made his toes curl.
Squinting at the glass-stained windows, he realized the outside world was dark. Calabrass lay across the table beneath them, his skull’s eye sockets devoid of their usual luminescence. Had it only been a few hours since he’d gone to bed?
As much as his stomach wished it weren’t, it was probably too early for breakfast. But he wasn’t tired, and he was getting restless.
No point fidgeting in the cold. Zak rolled out of his bunk, slipped on his shoes and padded towards the exit, avoiding the wooden floorboards that creaked. Glancing at Calabrass – the old sword really slept as if he were inanimate – he stepped out into the open deck and gently shut the door.
The sky was lighter than he expected, a star-dusted midnight blue gentling into a purple hue towards the ship’s aft. He could catch the sunrise, he realized. The last time he’d seen one was when Dad had dragged his butt out of the house on the first day of summer. Winding around the ship’s sails that were lowered like butterfly wings, he took to the stairs for the upper deck, then he jerked to a halt.
Facing away from him, a figure stood at the far end of the deck, watching the dawn break with crossed arms.
Zak crept up the next step.
“Don’t try, Captain. Your footsteps were very loud.”
“I wasn’t gonna try anything!”
He couldn’t hide a smile when Cece turned around, her lips quirked and pink eyes glinting. She gave a light ‘hm’ in response, which told Zak nothing, but she shifted her gaze back towards the horizon. “What brings you up early today?”
Joining her, he jabbed a thumb back towards his cabin. “The cold. Man, if I’d known what the temperature’s gonna be like, I’d would’ve bought that quilt yesterday and slept through morning.” Then he looked properly at the wisps of orange brightening above the ocean, and he leaned his elbows against the railings. “Wow, that’s pretty.”
“Yes,” Cece said. “If we escape from the Triangle, I will miss watching it.”
“You mean when we escape.”
“Of course.”
“And Atlantis doesn’t have sunrises?”
“My nation is on the ocean floor, Zak.”
“Oh, yeah. Heh, so you guys just swim around blind- Ow! I’m kidding!”
They fell into silence, looking on as the sun peeked over the vast expanse of sea, casting its waves in yellow and orange. The chill had receded now that Zak was up and about (and had been attacked by his First Mate).
“Hey,” he said.
“Yes?”
“When do you think a kraken’s gonna explode from underwater and try to eat us all?”
Cece snorted. “Excited for action already?”
“C’mon, it’s practically a daily routine. We could treat it as exercise!” He pushed away from the railings, stretching and cracking out the kinks in his neck. “Let’s wake everyone else up and-”
His stomach grumbled.
“-and have breakfast?” the First Mate suggested, her smile broadening.
He laughed and rubbed his neck with a hand.
“Chaos,” he called. Beneath their feet, the ship responded to her captain, her gentle rocking steadying into a deep rumble. “Head for Marituga! You know where to go, don’t you?”
In reply, her two giant sails rose high over their heads in sweeping arcs, fitting together and flapping in the wind.
As the Chaos sped across the Sea of Beru, Cece headed below deck to call up the rest of the crew. Zak lingered at the aft, watching the vestiges of the night recede, before heading down to join his friends.
It wasn't summer, the beach house or the friends he'd known, but he couldn’t have asked for a better first sunrise in the Triangle.

Hiatus Update #2
Hi everyone I decided to do a journal post today. I would of done one sooner but I waiting for various events to pass and now that they have so I will post. The first thing being that I really noticed my fanfics recently and the "last updated" dates really made me sad. I mean I know my whole mobile status really limits me to the point where my writing really feels crippled and it can make me just let go of my tumblr activity every other day because it is a pain but still it makes me sad. But oh well on to other things. I've been watching Big Brother recently and between it, Survivor, and the Amazing Race seasons which had just ended I feel like reality tv has gotten a bit toxic lately. I've given Fate Grand Order a try and I like the servants we are seeing. On another point in my last post I said I had been watching World of Winx season 2 and I finished it. The ending sort of just felt off and it was a major cliffhanger on two fronts and I still stand by what I said in my last journal what is the backstory here?! Next thing is RWBY, we've got a new short with Weiss and I love it. I'ts given me some inspiration for Stardust. Next topic is Kingdom Hearts 3. We have gotten some more footage and I just love it though if I am being honest though the Toy Story thing was not really a surprise after footage of that one ride/summon thing. But still I am eager for it. And we are getting more Union Cross stuff next month. On to ZAG's stuff. I got the first issue of their new Miraculous comic and it was OK but it was also a bit of a letdown considering how part if it was rehash of one of their webisodes. I am eager for the next issue which should lead to a crossover with other heroes I guess. ML season 2 is supposed to hit this december I guess and the live action movie has been officially confirmed I guess? Though I am still waiting on word from Melody and Adventure Park though Zak Storm hits Netflix in Novemeber which I am for sure so happy about. Then Descendants 2 it aired recently and I find myself wondering exactly how canon is working between Wicked World and the booksin regards to the movies. As for the movie it was OK and (fair warning slight spoilers here) I loved the songs Space Between and You and Me though that ending number must of been sometthing considering all the water involved. They must have been soaked by the end of it and those moves cannot have been easy to pull off. I also feel Evie took the spotlight more then Mal did and during that last dance number Jane sort of looked like a real character then more than ever. Also that last effort of Uma's there felt really off too. Thats all I have to cover really. I sucessfully signed up for classes which start next month so hopefully this status will end then. Until then I will keep you posted. Till next time!

Update on Many Things
Hello everyone! Sorry I know on my DA page and Twitter but I was waiting on the Zine thing to be resolved as I didn’t want to post one thing only to face a contradiction a little bit later. So now I have my response and so I can post it. Fair warning this post will be rambling all over the place maybe even touching stuff I’ve already covered anew so sorry about that and feel free to read on.
First off the Zine thing. I did not get in sadly which is both good and bad as I was something I was interested in but it frees up my focus but oh well onwards and upwards.
Before going to my project stuff I wanna ramble about and fair warning I may be all over the place.
I reduced the webcomics I follow recently as I felt I had too much.
I’ve been reading some Danny Phantom fanfiction lately, a good portion of it crossovers but meh it makes me feel like I’ve suddenly discovered the fandom.
I’m on a slight Digimon kick too courtesy of fanfiction and video game hype. I’m sort of watching Fusion currently.
Zak Storm hit the UK recently and I haven’t been able to watch yet which suck but it is what it is for now I guess.
I’ve been watching/listening to the Adventure Zone podcasts lately.
Descendants 2 looks like it’ll be interesting.
Breath of the Wild. Sadly, I’ve resigned myself to the fact it’ll be towards the end of the year before I can play which sucks but oh well.
Kingdom Hearts Union Cross is interesting I guess.
I seem to be using Discord a lot lately.
Books. I stand by what I meant when I said I like Riordan’s stuff. I’m thinking of reading Erin Hunter’s stuff again too and maybe looking at other series too.
Alright on to my projects. I got the Fragment Journeys piece done even if it wasn’t the one I originally wanted but still it’s something. I wish I could say I’d made as much progress with the one shots but… I fell flat. I can’t seem to really get them going.
In addition, recently I’ve been musing about A Miraculous Vision and Gold Stripes, the pieces I was gonna do after them. I’ve been debating about even doing them at all as they are one shots and while Gold Stripes may have had a follow up planned for it but A Miraculous Vision didn’t really have one till people said they wanted more for it but now I’m considering just not doing it so that status is… uncertain (the other one shot I was working on was a new piece altogether and doesn’t count here).
In addition, this, it comes at a time where I’ve been debating several other things, mu musings to do stuff for Flight Rising. I’m sort of worried about my ML OC project and while I may not launch their fanfic just yet I may do more art for them. And the bulk of this comes from a desire to do more art stuff.
Then on top of that there’s the nagging feeling in my mind saying I may be neglecting PMD Rescuing Reality and Possible Powers so that’s a thing too.
So really for what may be coming next at this point is random even for me. Expect anything is all I can say. I’ll be in touch as always.
