So, I’ve been watching “Say Yes to the Dress” on YouTube, and let me tell you the idea that popped into my head-

Bahorel and Montparnasse owning a bridal/wedding shoppe. Both are so fashionable and super supportive of the clients and are not afraid to tell the entourage to shut the hell up cause it’s not their appointment.

Also, like, you know, they’re able to like, help with the tailoring, with help from Feuilly and Enjolras who both can sew. And Courfeyrac can also help with trying on of dresses and and suits and what not. And Fauntleroy and Jehan also help out with that. Even Mardisoir is in on it, and Claquesous is super supportive and helps out with the more atypical requests, like black gowns and whatnot.

And basically, they just run this really sweet and LGBTQIA+ centred bridal/wedding shoppe!

My sister made fanart for this fic of mine! It’s for this scene:

[Courfeyrac is filming as he walks into the living room, which is filled with light and birds are chirping outside. Enjolras and Grantaire are still sleeping on the opened couch. Enjolras is turned towards Grantaire, so their cuffed hands could lie in the middle comfortably. Enjolras’s fingertips scrape Grantaire’s wrist lightly. Enjolras is sleeping with his mouth slightly open, his hair is draped out around his head. His other hand lays between him and Grantaire on the bed, just a few inches from Grantaire’s side. His blanket is covering him from the waist down. Grantaire is sleeping on his back. His blanket is also pushed down to his waist. His left hand is laying on his pillow over his head. His fingertips touch the end of Enjolras’s hair. Courfeyrac gives out a shrieking sound behind the camera. The time in the corner of the picture reads 9:00.]

Courfeyrac (from behind the camera): Aw, how cute! Good morning guys! Wakey, wakey! Rise and shine!

[Enjolras slowly blinks open his eyes, which widen as he sees Grantaire laying on the bed beside him, then quickly flick over to Courfeyrac. He growls at him then goes back to watch Grantaire with a soft smile on his face. Grantaire rolls to his side to face Enjolras, still not opening his eyes. His left hand goes up to rub his eyes. He blinks up at Enjolras, then Courf.]

Grantaire (groaning): Don’t film this, you monster! Go, make us coffee instead!

[Courfeyrac laughs behind the camera.]

What is B.R.E.A.D.?

B.R.E.A.D. is a modernized, transmedia adaptation of Volumes III-V of Victor Hugo’s Les Misérables. This series will bring the stories of Les Amis de l’ABC directly into the present moment. Originally university students in Paris, B.R.E.A.D. will transfer the Les Amis to a modern American university where they are forced to communicate via Zoom and other social media in light of the ongoing pandemic. Where they once fought against the French monarchy, these modern Les Amis fight against unfair tuition costs, social injustices, and the right to education in a post-COVID world. Cross-posted on YouTube and Instagram, the stories and the relationships between characters will be explored in a depth no adaptation has ever reached before.
