I know this might be a bit of an out-of-the-blue question, But I'm just wondering how should one deal with sensory overloads? I've known I've been autistic for a while but it happens to me often. But I still don't know how to deal with it. Do you know anything that could help? (also I'm very sorry if this is a weird question you don't have to answer it if you don't want to)

For me, I usually like to get out of the area/situation in one way in another to go somewhere, well, having less going on. I also do best when I go to dig about it because security person to help get me out/calm me down by focusing on him rather than the things around him. Even if its just sitting a ways away to get a chance to breath mentally. I used to be more nervous about leaving the situation since thatd be rude and id just wallow in the feeling and it was mmmm no good. Theres nothing rude about taking care of yaself if ya literally being driven up the wall from being over stimulated by your surroundings. Also something soft to focus on is something good to help try to divert the stimulation attention, like having a blanket.

For example I went to a wedding of Digs family member and during the reception I was super frazzled and had one heck of a sensory overload and melted down a bit. I didn’t have the confidence to leave since Dig was talking to his family but when he came back, we took some snacks and went off on a walk outside where there wasn’t as many people, it helped cool me down after a while. Like, something I’ve noticed is slowing down the stimulation is good too so like going into a silent room from a big party isn’t going to fix it right away, so calming sounds perhaps at first or doing something elsehwere to bring you sound, like the example, going for a walk in somewhere quiet. Or like when I was a kid and didnt have someone like dig to help me out, my family went to a monster truck rally and it was heeeeeeeeell for me of it was way too much with the engines, the people, the commotion, I just said ‘... HEY MY IMAGINARY FRIEND CASPERS MISSING IM GONNA GO LOOK FOR HIM AND MAYBE GO TO THE BATHROOM’ as an excuse to leave, then I just chilled out in the food court in the stadium until I felt decompressed to come back. ... I didnt stay there very long cuz I got overloaded but ya know, cycle

And oh no dont be sorry! If i can be of any help at all, please ask away, Im foretunate enough to live in a household where I have safe spaces to slip to so I can be able to calm down faster or not experience them as much. It’s different for everyone though, and my way might not be the best for you but its all about in a way of how your body treats it.

I don’t know if anyone else notices but I do consider myself an adventurous writer for the reason that I challenge myself a lot. Even if it’s not evident to the reader like a lot of the stuff in my fics is stuff I’ve never written about before or stuff I used to feel really uncomfortable talking about so when I have an idea that feels over my head I try to take a shot at it anyway, and I’ve been learning to say things that I used to be embarrassed to say. And like when it comes to kink fic a lot of time that boils down to “This is a thing that super turns me on and I’m gonna write about it now even if it exposes me to everyone for being a complete freak” LMAO. I’m trying to be BRAVE!

I think it’s accidental but like, I mean!!!! I like to write about characters and relationships that interest me so that’s where I go. I guess it could be a preference but it isn’t really on purpose.

UM I ONLY HAVE THREE FANDOMS LOL But if you wanna dust off the archives and my ENTIRE FANFIC HISTORY I would say WRESTLING comes in no. 1 and Rammstein RPS would be in there somewhere? But I don’t tend to migrate a lot, I get like really obsessively focused. Most of my fandoming is based on VC, and I never really found YOI friends to hang out with but I read almost exclusively YOI fic for like the last year and a half until VLD distracted me, and I’ve been dipping into VLD fandom a little bit even though it’s kinda scary I’ve found that like the Sheith people are really cool and there’s a lot of awesome fanart!

And that capricorn placements in general make things to be a bit difficult or requires some heavy ass work in any planet its in. Why is that? Hello everyone!! I am so excited my first day posting to this blog is the day of LGBTQ Awarness. As most of you know, I am bisexual and days like this have made me much more comfortable in this unpredictable world. It is amazing how far we have come from accepting people as they are. Love is love. I encourage anyone and every one to speak up, never be afraid. Never be ashamed of who you are or afraid to speak up. You are perfect exactly the way you are.

I created this blog to spread positivity and share my life tips to make your life easier. I honestly just want to contribute to making the world a better place. Today I really wanted to talk about winter time. Winter is the most wonderful time of the year, to some people. If you don’t enjoy winter sports (I didn’t when I first moved up here) then it’s a super huge drag living here during the winter. I’m a native Californian, so winter has always been a bit of a adjustment for me even though, I have lived in Alaska longer than California. I have gotten used to it to an extent, but the darkness can put a number on my depression. I struggle with depression and anxiety on the daily. It’s not easy, but it has gotten easier. What has always helped me is keeping a positive attitude.

So i’d like to share some coping skills with you lovely people to keep a little sun in your life.

Traveling; Whether it comes to driving a couple hours away from home and staying at a hotel or treating yourself to a trip out of state. It’s always nice to get away from the same old town and have some new new in your life.

Baths or saunas: Bubble baths or hot long showers are the holy grail of a stressful day or just to relax. Buy a bath bomb, light some candles,turn on some music, and pour a glass of your favorite beverage.

Fitness & Health: Drink some tea,eat some fruit, replace that glass of juice or soda with some lemon water. Not everyone enjoys working out or eating healthy, but I promise it can make such a huge difference. It’s always good to get your blood flowing, especially if you’ve been sitting inside all day. Eating healthy always makes you feel 10xs better too!

Get ready & dress up: Whether it’s a little lip gloss or something you did differently with your hair. Sometimes putting on makeup and getting dressed up isn’t always about going somewhere nice. It’s about feeling good about yourself.

Date night/Party: It’s always good to go out and socialize with cool people or your significant other. Getting dressed up and looking forward to something at the end of the day is nice and exciting.

Art: It can be a poem,drawing,cooking,blog, or reading a book. Whatever it is you enjoy, try and take a little extra time out of your day to do something you love

Pamper yaself: Go get your nails done or do them yourself with a face mask on and some music playing. Put a hair mask on and shave your legs. This can really help you feel good too

Winter Sports: If you like snow machining,snow boarding, skiing, then I encourage to get out there and get that blood flowing! Just remember to always dress warm especially if you’re in Fairbanks!

I hope these coping skills helped you guys out! Stay tuned and I’ll be posting about skin care I use during the winter to help with dry skin! You can insert some standard HTML codes but also one or two prefab CSS class names I created in the stylesheet. You first need to click the gear icon in the upper right corner of the text-editor, then select HTML in the 'Text editor' field. Now you can write your post in plain HTML, how frickin’ cool is that ツ.

Code is Poetry

In this Tumblr Blog you can also use <pre></pre> to write code examples for your readers. You can now write tutorials with code examples, if you feel an urge to do so 😉. Use the <pre> .. your code here ..</pre> HTML tag to show your codes ..!

If you want to insert a blockquote on any other page then the ‘quote post’, .. well, you can! To insert a blockquote in a text post you have to go into HTML mode. Now you need to type the following into the HTML code, preferably on a new line and adjust the text from this example:

The <cite>Name</cite> part is needed when you also want to publish the name of the person being quoted.

Love Languages

Okay, so ever since I read ‘The Game of Desire’ by Shan Boodram, I was/am inspired to rediscover who I am, love myself and be confident in who I am in order to be a better person but also to attract the best partner for me.

In her 5 step process, the first step is learning about yourself and one of the key components in learning about yourself is my ‘Love Language’. If you don’t already know what a love language is, it’s a concept that describes how one expresses love and interpret love back. It’s vital to know in relationships, especially romantic kinds, because it can help you improve relationships and help those make you feel more loved, appreciated and secure.

My love language is Words of Affirmation, followed by quality time and acts of service. Words of Affirmation being my main love language makes sense because I get become all giddy and happy whenever I hear someone express to me how much they love, appreciate and admire me. To me, words leave a deeper mark than actions because its the thought behind those words and the intention behind those words that I hear and value the most. I know words and actions can be misleading, however, words to me are beautiful. Whenever I express love, I usually do it by acts of services or through verbal affirmations/expressions and I really take the time to choose words and pour my heart out through words.

If I’m going to delve in further, my parents never said much when it came to expressing their love. They did things by actions, so like working alot to provide me the things I needed and wanted. I appreciated that, but I heard their words of disappointment or criticism more than affirmations or at least focused more on those negative comments than the positive ones. The only thing I truly remember growing up that was positive was my dad saying, “I love you so much” to my sister and I. Looking back, I loved hearing that and it made me happy. My mom didn’t say much to me, just did things for me, which I appreciated regardless. I even remember reading somewhere that your love language is typically what you lacked growing up, so that fact that I didn’t enough or lacked hearing positive, affirming and encouraging words makes sense on how I want to express and show love to others.

For my love language, I usually write long messages to others for their birthdays. For my past romantic partner, I would write love notes to them coupled with a gift or an act of service. I would express daily to partner that I loved them or I missed them. I would send funny memes and write “thinking of you” or “thought of you”. I would also take the time to give my gratitude via words whenever someone did something for me or helped me in some way. I would even compliment another person back if they complimented me.

However, if someone says something negative about me, I get real hurt. I get easily offended if its by someone I value or someone’s opinion I care about. If it’s someone I don’t know or whose opinion I could care less about, the insult or critic usually goes in one ear and out the other, but if it’s a family member or a close friend or even my past partner, I’d get really defensive and I’d typically bite back. So as much as I love hard with words, I also have the capacity to destroy others with words as well. So that’s something I need to work on because I realize the impact that words have on me, and I need to learn how to differentiate the intention behind those words, the feeling I have (whether it’s an insecurity thats rising or if its a insult thats worth fighting over) and how much I need to take into consideration their words (cause sometimes, its usually not getting into a huge fight about).

For someone that isn’t about words, I can come off clingy. The thing about this love language is that I typically like to be told lovely things on the daily. So for my partner, I guess they need to tell me words of affirmation genuinely and honestly. It doesn’t need to be everyday cause life and work gets in the way, but I guess those moments of “Im thinking of you” or “i love you” go a long way for me. But the intention and the genuineness behind the words REALLY make a difference. Routine does happen when it comes to long-term relationships (I mean, its expected), but its those spontaneous words/acts of service/moments of love with the intention and genuineness of love that really make me super happy, appreciated, loved and secure in a relationship.

I also realize that as much as I enjoy words of affirmation from friends, family and romantic partners, I should also give myself the same amount of love and effort to myself. I need to be, more time, responsible for telling myself words of affirmation and believing in it cause self-love is the most important thing everyone needs. Self-love is the root of my happiness and confidence. So I need to remind myself to love me more by telling myself encouraging, positive words of love and affirmation cause I deserve it, and once I believe it and wear that self-love, others notice and get drawn to it and will give compliments to where its due.

I LOVE MYSELF. I LOVE YOU RACH. YOU ARE THE EPITOME OF KINDNESS, GRATITUDE, EMPATHY AND SACRIFICE. THERE IS NO ONE THAT CAN HYPE UP ANYONE MORE THAN YOU. YOU HAVE AN INFECTIOUS POSITIVE ENERGY THAT PEOPLE ARE DRAWN TO, COMBINED WITH YOUR KILLER SMILE, YOUR WARM HEART AND YOUR BEAUTIFUL SOUL, YOU ARE A CATCH. YOU GOT IT. YOU ARE A QUEEN. AND WHATS SO COOL ABOUT YOU IS THAT DESPITE THE HURT YOU’VE EXPERIENCED, DESPITE THE INSECURITIES YOU FACE, DESPITE THE PAIN YOU HAVE FELT, YOU CONTINUE TO SHOWER THOSE (FRIENDS AND STRANGERS ALIKE) WITH LOVE, OPENNESS AND KINDNESS. YOU DEMONSTRATE GODS LOVE AND KINDNESS TO ALL WHO MEET YOU. YOU ARE A WICKED DANCER, A SMART NURSE AND A PERSON WITH GOOD FOOD TASTE. YOU DESERVE ALL THE LOVE, JOY AND BLESSINGS. GWAN BIG UP YASELF. <3 DON’T EVER FORGET THE LIGHT YOU HAVE WITHIN. DONT EVER LET ANYONE MAKE YOU THINK DIFFERENT ABOUT YOURSELF. “The Sequel”

After I somewhat humiliate you by getting you in the mood, all hot and bothered, sex'n you like crazy, and then to get up and leave just as you're about to cum, you decide that you need a little space from me because that incident made it clear that I am a "typical nigga". So a couple days pass, communication between us is kinna lacking but there is communication, the quality of it just doesn't feel the same. During these few days I feel I'm losing the upper hand because you're playing the high spade by being stingy with your conversation, and not only that you won't allow me to see you. Now my entire focus changes, because I wasn't intending on you getting bent all outta shape about me pulling out & knowing that you're about to cum. In my head I'm going "aaaawwwww man, she aint close the door so its a possibility that I won't be able to give her a re-run of what went down at my house. But its cool cuz imma think of something, imma find a way to tease her or get her in the mood & imma bounce". So while these thoughts are running through my head, you're sitting at the head of the bed which is farthest away from me, I lays down in the bed & rests my head on ya pillow but I still got my kicks on & ya first response was "boi don't you get in my bed with those dirty stinky shoes, take em off if you gone get in my bed", then I say "naa baby my kicks aint dirty, these only a week old & on toppa that I got em hanging off the bed anyway", and you look at me like nigga plzzz & say "I don't care, take em off Maurice", and I noticed the tone of ya voice when you said my name, so that instantly let me know you wasn't playing, so I just went on & took em off. ya’ll

okay so I started a stage management internship at a professional playhouse in SF.

After two days in rehearsal the stage manager I was assisting (im basically an ASM) just started being super rude to me. Let me preface this with I totally understand that I’m an intern and interns do the bitch work and stereotypically get treated like shit or whatever but that latter rhetoric is disgusting anyway. I also know the difference between being hard on someone so they can do their job right and straight disrespecting them.

So I come in the morning and say “how was your weekend” and she responds “fine, i’m trying not to talk because I’m sick” without even glancing at me. I say ok fine, fair enough. I thought it a little rude but whatever. She then spends the rest of the day CHATTIN UP the director and the directors intern. ok whatever fine

the next day I say hi to her, she doesn’t even respond. Walks in the door without even looking at me. She then spends the day making passive aggressive facial expressions and when I ask her a question, she rolls her eyes and asks like she doesn’t have time for me (mind you this show is simple af, like i get a stage managers job is tedious and hard but she was doing nothing).

Next couple of days she just grills me for the stupidest shit. attitude about “make more coffee” and “keep the door shut” like bitch you were the one that walked out the door last??? i’m on the other side of the room???????

So, if someone has an attitude it’s VERY hard for me not to have an attitude back, if you’re my boss, my homie, even my damn mother. I’m not very good at hiding my facial expressions if I have opinions of something either but I’m REALLY tryin cuz this is my first professional internship or whatever but there is a line between being stern to make sure someones got a backbone and being just straight up rude.

So I ask her the next day if there is anything I can improve on, anything I’m doing wrong (translation: bitch do you have a problem????). She tells me a few petty shit and whatever I move on.

She continues to ignore me when convenient, have full on conversations with the other (white) intern right next to me but obviously excluding me from the conversation. Whatever, i don’t want to talk about ur harry potter movie marathon anyway

That day I’m waiting to ask if she needs anything else at the end of day, she sees me waiting and ignores me until she finally looks up at just “waves” at me. Doesn’t say goodbye. basically says get out of my face with her hands.

By now i’ve had it with this bitch. she’s one of those pale white girls who wears the same jeans and sweater everyday and doesn’t brush her hair ya know. BUT she aint my boss, i’m not gonna jeopardize my future by going off on this petty bitch so I just leave.

but like I’m not being incompetent. I know I made a few mistakes but thats why this is a fuckin internship and I ask questions and correct myself always. The playhouse at orientation was like “ask questions, engage in the process, we want ya’ll to learn” but this hoe really makes me not wanna be there. I know when I’m being disrespected, like leaving me out of convos, every time she speaks to me she doesn’t smile but she smiles at everyone else, like ok bitch??? whats ur problem? i tried to be nice the first couple of days but like i said, it’s hard for me to not have an attitude if ur disrespecting me so now I’m just deadpan when I interact with her.

but yesterday she revealed herself

I was showing her something on my macbook

I say something like “my macbooks pretty old so it’s slow.”

she says “yeah macbooks are good for being cool and pretty but not for much else. As far as actual work, PC’s are better. I work on PC’s”

THE WAY SHE SAID IT THO

like translation: you’re cool and pretty but not good for work.

she revealed herself in that one comment.

THANKS FOR THE COMPLIMENT BITCH U DNT KNOW ME BUT YES I AM COOL AND PRETTY BUT WATCH YASELF CUZ ILL BE MORE THAN A BITTER ENTITLED WHITE GIRL WHO JUST GOT HER FIRST EQUITY GIG AND NOW HAS A BIG ASS HEAD AND IS PROBABLY A RACIST

I just laughed and it made the rest of my last day with this bitch an enjoyable one. yes hoe be bitter cuz i put effort in the morning and u wear the same hedwig and the angry inch sweater everyday. go ahead and talk about ur weight watchers program while u eat m&ms and lament your last weigh in. BE BITTER AND SAD. I refuse to be when I’m a higher up mentoring people below me.
