“Sesshōmaru!” Kagome cried in happiness and pain.
Sesshōmaru glowered as the boy’s chubby fist pulled at Kagome’s ponytail more forcefully.
“Let her go.”
“I’m not scared of you!” The lad sneered.
“You should be.”
Miffed, the boy gracelessly shoved Kagome aside and charged head-on.
Pivoting on his heel, Sesshōmaru easily dodged the pathetic attack. Unable to stop the combination of momentum and gravity, the boy fell to the floor, face first.
“Alright! Enough, you little shits! Get outta here!” The driver barked out, dispersing the crowd.
“And you!” He snarled, pulling the fallen boy from his collar. “Stop causing trouble!”

You could argue the same exact thing with wei wuxian and shizhui. He, an adult, raised a child and then let someone else raise him. Would you ship them, since technically Wangji raised him after that? Sesshoumaru impregnated a teenage Rin, the young girl he raised as a father for years, and you ship that? That’s pedophilia.
Ugh, I really don’t want to be getting into that, but that’s not the definition of that word.
Pedophilia is the attraction to children. The fact that a person raised a child and then became their partner when they were of age is not the definition of pedophilia. Rin was 18 when they began their relationship.
And some more points:
1. Sesshomaru and Rin are not the only ones in Inuyasha-verse to do that. Sesshomaru is not human, he’s a demon, they live for MANY years, so his age is irrelevant. (And again, Rin is said to be 18.) In that world, demons who fall in love with human women are told to do so when the women were in their teens, I guess it’s historically correct for that period too, since Inuyasha is based on a historical period.
2. Comparing this to MDZS is irrelevant. You probably won’t ship WWX with LSZ because that’s kind of a relationship is not assumed in their story. But you know how many danmeis are out there with a teacher (Shizun)- student relationships? Students the older men raised as children even younger than 18, and then later as they grew up they formed a relationship. So yeah, nothing uncommon about it, look at the entire danmei fandom, it’s a known genre 😅

Sesshoumaru brought his attention back to the picnic the miko had set out, the cool spring breeze threatening to ruin Rin's flower crown before it was finished. "Job?" he asked.
The young girl nodded, though she didn't look up from her task. "Kagome-sama helps people in different villages, especially when they're hurt or sick. What do you do?"
Sesshoumaru clicked his tongue, looking at the woman in question, eyes narrowing at the sight of her stifled laughter. "I do not require one."
Rin slid another flower in place. "Everyone has a job. Shippou goes to school, but he'll have one when he's finished. And Inuyasha-san helps people build houses." When he still didn't answer, she finally looked up. "Don't you have something you're good at, Sesshoumaru-sama?"

Admin: Since my posts were tagged several times on this persons page, I went to sift through on some of their posts most noted was the misinformation that I was being told about this creator. Misinformation from what I was shown was the InuYasha Age thing. I've already debunked that and the comments on their own page telling them that they're wrong spoke for themselves.

The interview about Hogosha was reference about the Final Act the full context of that interview was that Sesshoumaru had shown restraint in visiting Rin also -
Rumiko says "But when you visit so frequently you know... however there some level of moderation." That's how often Sesshoumaru went to visit Rin.
After that interview she went to draw Sesshoumaru and Rin for the Official Yashahime Manga. That means she approved of the pairing.

What’s even more interesting is that the reason she ended up reincarnated is due to her chasing a book with proof of her age, cuz she wanted to hide from Sabato (her husband)... that she was only a few years younger than his own mother, l o l. He doesn’t care when he learns, lol
So you got a woman marrying a guy who’s so young he could be her son (they’re shinigamis tho, so like with Sesshomaru etc, it’s all cool they age slowly as heck) and then ending up reincarnating as a little girl and they still have some moments together, which can be interpreted as “gotta get together again in future” or “just some friendly exes”
She also acts motherly towards the protagonist, giving him money etc cuz like... she is his mother, technically, just in previous life
None of it seems to be portrayed as creepy or bad, simply comedic shenanigans and sorta romantic but in “gosh what dumbasses”
And ya can’t blame Sunrise for any of this, antis, cuz it’s based on Rumiko’s manga"

Poor Jaken. Once a leader in his own right, he abandoned his people to serve the most feared yokai in Nippon. For years, things had been wonderful.
His fearsome lord roamed his lands, vanquished any and all who would dare trespass or overstep their bounds. Of course, as his faithful and loyal servant, he, Jaken, played an instrumental part in some of Lord Sesshoumaru's most challenging battles.
With the power of the Staff of Two Heads in his hands, the gami was able to vanquish many a lesser yokai in order to clear the way for his mighty lord to finish off the leaders. But recently, his master had taken up an odd hobby.
It started simple enough with the human brat Rin. Serving as the test subject for the legendary Tessaiga, his lord generously allowed the whelp to follow them after reviving her.
But then another human began showing its face every now and again. The young taijiya boy, Kohaku Jaken believed his name was, had for some reason been graced with his Lords protection on more than one occasion.
Thankfully, the adolescent didn't follow then as the girl did.
But now there was this! The newest creature to capture his Lords attention was absolutely unacceptable!
The Miko Kagome!
Somehow, the little harlot wormed her way into Lord Sesshoumaru's good graces. It was ridiculous. Sure the onna had aided Rin several times over the two years the child had been following them. And sure, she may have aided his lord in battle a time or two.
She may also have come to aid Jaken himself a few times... but that didn't make her special!
Jacken just couldn't fathom why his master kept collecting human females!

Day 14 - All Downhill from Here
The skiing instructor was perky and pink . Sesshoumaru wasn’t sure what to make of her and a part of him felt dubious. Especially of those bright pink pompoms of her hat, that matched the chunky-knit muffler wrapped three times around her neck. But the steady stream of cheerful chatter was taking his mind off from that nervous and peeved part that glowered in a dark corner of his brain.
Sesshoumaru hated learning new things. Or to be precise, he hated that awkward initial phase of learning something new; the part where he felt like a clueless, bumbling idiot. What he wanted was to excel but alas, to get to that point some bumbling around had to be endured.
Whatever could be said about his bubbly bubble-gum skiing instructor, she seemed to know her stuff. She’d guided him through getting the rental equipment and putting on the stiff and weird ski shoes. She’d given him an overview of the slopes. And dispensed such a wealth of tips and tricks on him that Sesshoumaru wasn’t able to remember them all.
And now they were standing on the top of the trainer slope, which looked like an anthill compared to the other ones. Sesshoumaru was starting to get nervous again.
"We're gonna practise the snowplough for a while," the skiing instructor told him with a bright smile. "Then we're going down all nice and easy and slow . We'll take all the time you need. And we're not going down until you're comfortable enough to try. Safety first, ok?"
Sesshomaru nodded, and the tightness in his throat eased, his shoulders relaxed the tiniest fraction at his instructor's reassurance.
"Great! I'll show you the snowplough now. It’s very simple."
Sesshoumaru watched raptly as the skiing instructor demonstrated the funny-looking pose.
"Now, your turn to try it out! Tails out, noses together. Make sure to leave a gap between your skis, though!"
Sesshoumaru tried to manoeuvre his skis into the right position. They still felt weird on his feet.
But his skiing instructor kept coaxing, encouraging and advising him. Gradually, his nervousness and awkwardness slipped away.
"I'm ready now," he informed her after a while.
"Great!" The instructor chirped. "Let's go down the hill! Remember to shift your weight to turn. And I'll be right behind you, so if you fall, I'll help you right back up."
That comment finally elicited an answering smile from Sesshoumaru. "All right. I'll be in your care."
What scattered crumbs of his nerves were left morphed into exhilaration as he made his way down the much too short slope. He might have been slow and his turns awkward, but the slide of the skis had been easy and smooth, the cold slap of wind in his face invigorating. At the bottom of the hill, Sesshoumaru turned to his instructor, grinning.
"I want to do that again. And go faster."
"That’s the spirit," she laughed. "Up we go!"
And so, they did.
Sesshoumaru loved every second of it, so much so that he stayed on the slope after his lesson concluded and he and his instructor parted ways.
He was almost reluctant to part with his skis when the time finally came to return them. The red-haired young man behind the counter accepted the skis and then slid a business card to him.
"Was supposed to give you this," he said and winked.
Sesshoumaru picked up the card. His eyebrow ached at the neat print of his ski instructor's name. Flipping the card over, he saw a handwritten phone number. And there, just underneath it, there was an intriguing addition in a looping scrawl.
"If you need instruction for the after-ski portion of the whole skiing experience, let me know. XO -Kagome"
Sesshoumaru grinned, thanked the young redhead, and pulled out his phone.

🗣 + Sesshomaru, because after seeing the Inuyasha mention on the last ask-- i just gotta hit ya with this boi too lol
He’s one of those characters I had to grow up to appreciate. Not to mention majority of the anime I’ve seen back in my younger days had been portuguese. Took a good long time until wireless internet to pop up on the scene before I began rewatching most of the series back in its english dub. First time watching it, y’all know me, y’all peep the muse I was a Inuyasha stan and I’ve never been a bigger fan whenever that Yokai form came out. But young adult me saw this shit AGAIN and well Sesshoumaru had all the cooler toys. Mans had poison claws, that whip thing with his claws (can someone not recruit him on their school’s gymnastics team?!) AND LETS NOT FORGET THE FLUFFY MONSTER.
ALSO LOVED his personality above all, he started pretty bad, like the opposite of Inuyasha (don’t get me wrong he’s still his foil) then it’s AFTER he met Rin where things took a turn for his character. Like he was still cruel but there was a spark of goodness in him or maybe it was just honor. Rin, despite Sesshoumaru being a demon cared for him as best she could. My boy was friggin’ emotionally humbled by a fucking kid and then he brought her back to life with his sword and from then on she became a pretty good travel companion and i’d say a worthy vassal too.
There’s also his partnership with Jaken, who is INCREDIBLY annoying to him probably but Jaken was also loyal so Sesshoumaru kept him alive too (despite the verbal and physical abuse we see for comedic reasons). We basically see this demon who looked down on humans because of their inferiority to this still ruthless man wondering if his pops was probably onto something when he swore off demon cooch and went straight for humans. I’m not gon’ hold you Inuyasha’s mom is just..nah man i’m getting off topic.
Point is, the man had a great character transformation from the beginning of the series towards the end of it (which i can assume cause i haven’t finished it yet. EVEN after all these years. I’m hoping netflix uploads final act too).

shopping sesshoumaru with rin is like shipping wei wuxian with shizhui. kinda weird ngl. he raised her…
Yeah, that does seem a bit weird, but if I’m not wrong, he left her to live with Kaede and other humans when she was still a girl, visited her here and there, and fell for her when he met her again as a young woman? (I didn’t read yashahime manga yet, I only gather info from pieces online).
So I guess that makes sense. I wouldn’t say he raised her in the way that she was later raised by the humans. He simply was fond of her and protected her, but he was pretty much busy with his own shit, she just tagged along and he didn’t mind. 😂
Also this is not just shipping this is the canon story lol

most (okay, all) of these were recommended to me by my mother! (the ultimate sesskag shipper….she introduced me to inuyasha when i was 4? 5? small baby age. she has been shipping it since i was a literal infant) i haven’t read most of these since high school but from what i remember they are all incredible. (and all by the same author lol) 🥰

LISTENNNNNN this might be my favorite fanfiction of all time, from any fandom. i think about it almost daily. i just finished rereading it for the third or fourth time and even knowing what happens i was still so invested. this story also has so many amazing original characters that are so well-rounded that sometimes i forget they aren’t canon. 100 chapters!!! i could talk about this fic foreverrrrr 😭
2. lord charming by forthright
summary : "More than Sesshoumaru's pride took a blow when he lost his arm. He's in a delicate position... and desperate enough to seek the advice of a self-proclaimed expert. A clumsy romantic adventure told in 100-word snippets."
i just started rereading this one today and i love ittttttt. it is 800 chapters but they are all capped at 100 words so it isn't as daunting as it seems. i will admit that i don't remember a lot of the plot to this one, but my seventeen year old brain did retain some spicy scenes so i feel like it's worth recommending lol
3. impeccable by forthright
summary : "Kagome is stunned to learn that she has inherited a sizable fortune, a Japanese estate, and an indentured youkai. She's the unlikely heiress, and Sesshoumaru is the perfect butler."
there are lines in this fic that still pop into my brain every once in a while, even though i haven't read it in like 6 years. an AU!! also 100 chapters, but if i remember correctly they are all 100 words each.
4. clutter by forthright
summary : "Mrs. Higurashi decides to help her daughter put her life together; enter Sesshoumaru, professional organizer extraordinaire. A romantic comedy told in 100 word snippets."
another AU!! i remember very little of this one but i saved it to my favorites so i must have loved it. 200 chapters!
