Proxy in Command (Creepypasta x Reader) Chapter 53
Series Masterlist
The fifteen-year-old boy ran into the forest as he kept kicking leaves. He was tired of the stress his parents were giving him. His parents were forcing him to take self-defense classes and taught him how to use weapons. He never understood why yet his parents never cared to explain. They only claimed he was important and this was all necessary.
"Zen this, Zen that. I fucking had it!" He yelled as he stomped onto the ground of leaves.
He felt he was being watched which made him take out his pocket knife.
"Who's there? I know how to use it and I'm not scared to hurt you no matter who you are!" He yelled.
Slenderman appeared in front of him making him faint due to the static in his head.
(~~~)
It had been three years since he was taken in by Slenderman and trained by him. He had to admit that his lessons with Slenderman were much better than with his parents. Slenderman wasn't harsh on him and gave him a year to improve his skills before going on his first mission.
"You can't mess it up." Slenderman's voice echoed through his head. "You must kill them. They pose a danger to me. Think of it like a test. If you pass, you will prove your loyalty to me and I shall give you the gift of immortality."
He walked through the empty streets as he looked for the given address. He grew up in this city and wondered how his parents were doing. Had they given up searching for him? Have they decided to move out? He didn't regret joining Slenderman and leaving his parents though.
He sighed as he finally recognized the address. It was the house his parents were eyeing before he left. He walked to the door before using a bobby pin to unlock it. Once he got inside, he quietly shut the door, not making a noise.
Pink balloons were scattered everywhere: on the ground, the stairs, and the walls. A girl's birthday was celebrated yesterday. Too bad she had to die the day after her birthday.
He thought about the memories he could have made with his parents in this house. More training, more lectures, more screams.
He heard a noise coming from the kitchen. He figured out where to go for his first kill. He sneaked up on the woman, a familiar smell hitting him. He ignored it as he stood behind her. She was making formula on a baby's bottle.
Using his hand to cover her mouth, he slid her throat as he stared with no emotion at the pink bottle filled with milk. Her chokes were muffled but not loud enough for her husband to hear. Once he was sure she was dead, he dropped her corpse on the floor. He couldn't bring himself to look at the woman he just murdered.
He walked away as he headed toward the stairway. He had to kill the father first before killing the child. As much as he didn't want to take her life away, he had to prove his loyalty.
Turning the doorknob, he saw a male laying on the king-sized bed. Shutting the door, he studied the male. He froze when the man moved to turn on the lamp.
Nothing could have prepared him for what he saw next.
"Zen?" His father spoke. "Wh-where have you been?" He was about to get up but Zen signaled him to stop with his hand.
"I've been busy."
Zen's father widened his eyes as he looked down at the bloody dagger he had in his hand.
"What did you do?"
"I killed your wife."
His breath hitched as he shook his head as he cried. "Why did you kill your mother!"
"Slenderman's orders."
His father pulled his hair in distress. "Zen! You can't trust him! He's one of the immortals that wanted to kill us!"
Zen stood still as he looked at him without emotion. He didn't want to believe him.
"Zen, I was going to tell you about our bloodline backstory in a few years but I see now how that was a mistake." He glanced at the bedsheets as he took a deep breath. His life depended on it. "Long ago, Silas L/N achieved immortality from a witch. He thought immortality ran through his generation but when his kid died, he murdered her. The witch cursed our bloodline with us being the bodyguards of others while having inhumane strength. Our kind was spreading fast and immortals were killing us. I even had to kill one immortal with your uncle that was planning on killing us. Your uncle died!"
"But why did they kill them? What was the reason!"
"Because an oracle stated the last L/N descendant will kill the most powerful immortal! The immortals took that as a threat! You and your sister will be seen as a threat to Zalgo if you kill me. We're the last ones Zen."
Although Zen has been with Slenderman for a few years, he knew how dangerous Zalgo was. Slenderman stated how he was a threat to him but hasn't mentioned anything about his backstory. Zen kept his last name a secret. Slenderman didn't know he was a L/N descendant yet he was sent to kill them.
"Sister? It seems you guys were busy instead of searching for me!"
His father started to cry. "Zen, please! You can't kill your sister!"
Zen's eyes darkened. "So you guys were busy finding a replacement instead of searching for your son." He stepped closer to his father.
"Zen please!" His father begged. "She's special! You can't kill her! She's the first female with the L/N bloodline."
"Watch me." He grabbed a small dagger that was strapped from his thigh and threw it in the middle of his father's head.
Blood scattered throughout the bed, leaving the white sheets stained. His father's face froze with a shocked expression as he died.
Zen left the room, not caring about the corpse in the room. He glared at the door to the nursery room. This baby was his replacement; he only cared about killing her with no mercy.
He opened the door to the room. His eyes widened, dropping his dagger. He fell to his knees at the sight of her. He felt something that he couldn't explain as if something sparked inside him. A feeling that made him want to protect her.
His sister stood on the crib with a pacifier in her mouth. Her eyes glowed with curiosity as she looked at him. The white curtains were slightly open, letting the moonlight shine on her as if she was an angel.
He stood frozen for a couple of seconds as he remembered his father's words about them being personal bodyguards. He started to believe everything he said.
Zen slowly got up to walk up toward her, not taking his eyes off from her. He gently carried her in his arms, placing her head on his chest. She closed her eyes, embracing his warmth.
He softly used his thumb to run across her cheek. He swore he would protect her from everyone including Slenderman and Zalgo. After all, it's them both against the world.
(~ Four Years later~)
After the girl took the hit to protect Slenderman, she had been unconscious for hours. Zalgo said before leaving that she would die if she didn't wake up in twenty-four hours. Twenty-two hours passed and Zen grew desperate. He couldn't let her die, he had to do something.
He went to the underworld through the pillars. His only hope was Zalgo. He never thought he would be on his knees in front of Zalgo, begging him to heal his sister.
"I'll heal her if you pledge your loyalty to me. Switch sides in this war and she'll wake up."
As much as Zen hated Zalgo, he knew he had no other way to save her. He could only hope Y/N would be able to forgive him in the future.
"I will be giving you powers. You'll be healing her yourself but for her to wake up, you must steal her memories."
A few minutes later, Zen laid next to her as he placed a hand on her head, crying about what he was about to do.
His appearance had changed since he joined Zalgo and got his powers. His H/C hair had turned white and his E/C eyes turned black.
It hurt him how she wouldn't remember him. If she encountered him in the future, he would be seen as an enemy when in reality it was the opposite. He kept assuring himself it was for the best. If what his father said was true, one of them would kill Zalgo, there was a chance they would live a happy ending.
His hopes were shattered when he got banned from the forest by Slenderman when he tried to save her and when Zalgo told him about the mark. He was connected to Zalgo so there was no way to escape from him. He knew his story wouldn't have a happy ending.
(~ 11 years later~)
Zen used his hand to heal her wounds in the cave. Zalgo had stabbed her in the forest and it didn't help that she was already wounded when she arrived from her international mission.
"She still has a fever! You should have gone easy on her!"
Zalgo scoffed as he crossed his arms in front of his chest. "I wasn't going to make it obvious this was a plan."
"A plan I didn't agree to!" Zen growled.
"Zip it Zen, you know I can always reverse the spell so she can die." Zalgo lied. "So if I were you, I would follow my goddamn orders to protect your little sister."
(~A few months later~)
"You need to let her go!" Zen whispered and yelled at Zalgo who had Y/N laying on his chest. Zalgo's plan had succeeded so Y/N was now in the underworld."This is ridiculous, I don't want her to be in the same bed as you!"
"I'm only offering her my body heat, plus look how comfortable she looks." He felt her lean closer to him, making him smirk.
Zalgo raised her chin before she slowly opened her eyes, making Zen cover himself with his hood. He couldn't tell her that he had been working with the enemy all along.
Zalgo moved some hair strands away from her forehead as he continued to look down at her.
"You're paralyzed, it's an effect of my mark."
She slowly moved her gaze to the side to see Zen. Zalgo signaled him to leave with his hand and then grabbed a small red bowl filled with pomegranate seeds from the nightstand. Zen bowed as he left the room, screaming at himself he should stop Zalgo. If he tried, Zalgo would kill him and Y/N would be left alone with him. He couldn't let that happen.
He didn't know what to do. He couldn't trust Slenderman that he would protect her nor could Zen himself because of Zalgo's mark. He had to think of something before Zalgo gets his way with her.
His thoughts all changed when Slenderman came to try to save her. This was enough evidence for him that he could trust Slenderman. But when he finally figured out a plan to help her escape, it had been too late. Zalgo had punished her and she was close to death. He brought her to the mansion and would secretly visit her sometimes. One day he got caught by Splendorman who swore not to tell Slenderman or anyone.
"You brought her here, didn't you?" He asked the young boy.
"Of course I did. I raised her for four years, I couldn't let her stay there any longer."
"Then why did you join Zalgo, Zen? I was shocked to see you with him."
Zen couldn't tell him the truth. He didn't want pity.
"Slenderman isn't what he seemed."
(~~~)
Zalgo couldn't figure out how she escaped until a few hours later when he confronted Zen.
"You helped her, didn't you?" He growled as he stood in front of him in the throne room
"You were about to kill her. Of course, I would protect her."
Zalgo grinned. "Because of that, you will now be the bait to lure her into the forest. I will kill her either way but I will make it painful if you choose not to cooperate."
"I'm not agreeing to anything." Zen huffed.
"I don't think you have a choice, my boy."
(~~~)
I couldn't stop thinking about the memories Zen gave me before he died.
I squeezed my dagger tighter as I kept my gaze at Zalgo who was grinning at me. He knew I was grieving and would use my emotions to fight and he would use it as an advantage.
"What's wrong, Y/N? It seems like you just lost a brother. Oh wait, you did."
I felt the adrenaline and used it to sprint at him, forgetting the wound on my shoulder.
He swung his sword toward my side, just below my ribcage. I was somehow able to dodge him, but I made the mistake of swinging at him. He grabbed my wrist in time, squeezing hard enough to hurt me.
"The pain you feel right now will be nothing compared to the pain you will feel in the future if you somehow make it out alive, my dear. But don't worry, I will make sure to kill you and then revive you in the future so you can be stuck in the underworld with me for eternity!"
I tried to ignore what he said but the truth was, I was absolutely terrified. I wasn't going to win either way. If I kill Zalgo and I survive, whatever Zalgo was talking about will happen. But if I fail to kill him, I would be stuck with him. My future was at stake here.
With my other hand, I grabbed another dagger I had on my thigh strap and threw it directly at his neck. He let my wrist go as he took a few steps back. He kept his gaze on me as he pulled the dagger out of his neck. He smirked before he disappeared in front of me.
I scanned my surroundings, not finding him anywhere.
"Show yourself, you coward!"
I felt lightheaded before I looked at the pastas from across the fire who were afraid for me. My eyes widened when I saw Zalgo behind Slenderman.
"No!" I screamed as I reached my hand towards him. Immediately someone blocked my view in front of them and I felt a burning sensation in my stomach as I realized I had fallen for his trap. Zalgo stood in front of me as his smirk got bigger. My eyes slowly trailed down only to see that he had stabbed me with the same sword he used to kill Zen. I let out a loud gasp as I felt my lungs squeezing for air and a burning sensation all across my abdomen.
Zalgo grinned as he pulled his sword out, causing me to fall to the floor with me holding my wound.
I tried to turn my body as I slowly crawled away from him, trying to reach for a dagger that was a couple of feet away from me. I felt the blood come out of my mouth which made me spit it out.
I didn't notice I was crying. Not because of the pain, but because I was scared. Zalgo was winning and I couldn't let him. I can't be stuck in the under realm with my soul being tortured for eternity or as his bride. That's not the future I wanted to live in.
My mom's words kept repeating inside my mind as I kept crawling.
"Zen will kill him if you choose to stay with us, Y/N."
Of course, because if I died, Zen would be the last L/N descendant alive and he would have killed Zalgo. My mom even gave me a hint we were siblings but I didn't catch it. But Zen is dead and now it was my responsibility to kill him.
I barely moved a few feet when Zalgo used his foot to flip me on my back. I struggled to breathe as I felt panic settle in. I feared this was it. This is how I'm going to die and I haven't hurt Zalgo yet.
Zen's sacrifice would be in vain and the pastas would be in danger if Zalgo survives. He would somehow get even more powerful just by proving he can avoid his destiny. No one would be safe. I had to do something, I couldn't let him win.
Zalgo got down on his knees, trapping my body beneath him.
"It seems like the vision is coming true, my love. The only difference is, you're the only one dying in this forest." I quivered as I closed my eyes, trying to steady my breathing and cover up the wound on my stomach. I tried to ignore his words and focus on breathing but the pain in my abdomen was throbbing. I couldn't imagine what Zen felt.
"It's a shame it had to come to this, my love. We could have been powerful rulers and have everyone on their knees for us. We could have lived forever in peace as we enjoyed our luxuries. But you just had to be foolish and choose Slenderman over me. I'm going to make you regret betraying me."
Zalgo grabbed my chin and forced me to look at the pastas who were screaming for Zalgo to let me go. I couldn't make out what exactly they were screaming but I heard their yells.
"Do you have any last words for them? For him?"
I stared at Slenderman as I sobbed. I no longer had any resentment toward him because I was afraid this was the last time I was going to see him. I closed my eyes and did something I hadn't done in years. I opened my mind to Slenderman for the first time in eleven years.
I allowed him to see what I imagined my funeral would be like. Offenderman would pick the finest roses he could find as Trenderman dressed me up in a dress he always wanted me to wear. Splendorman would spend time with Sally, the niece he always wanted seeing as I acted so cold towards him for the past months. I wish I could have apologized to him. Slenderman and the pastas would get along and be one happy family, even if it meant I wouldn't play a role in it. They wouldn't have to worry about any dangers or keeping their existence a secret.
I slowly opened my eyes as I felt my eyelids getting heavier and my breathing became difficult, making me gasp for air. I only have a few seconds left to change my destiny.
Slenderman shook his head. "You'll live Y/N! You have to be strong!"
But I've been strong for so long...
"I'm still debating whether I should revive you or not but just know, whatever happens, you will always belong to me. Both you and your soul are mine." Zalgo wrapped his hand around my waist, bringing me closer to him as his other hand relaxed on my cheek.
I closed my eyes as I felt his breath on my face.
"Any last words, little one?" His nose touched mine and felt our lips centimeters away.
I opened my eyes as I gasped for air for the last time, whispering my final words.
"I won."
I grabbed the golden dagger with red rubies on the handle from my back pocket and stabbed him in the heart. I had gotten it before Slenderman entered the office where we had our last confrontation. I couldn't have used the dagger earlier in case Zalgo would have destroyed it. I was just waiting for the perfect time.
Going downstairs and holding the rail for support, I saw some pastas watching TV but they didn't notice my presence. I slowly walked to Slendermans empty office as one thought came to mind.
I had to take the dagger to kill Zalgo and take matters into my own hands.
Entering his office, I looked at every corner of the room to find the familiar black box. It wasn't until I went through his desk that I finally found it. Hiding the dagger in my pocket, I made my way in front of his desk to look at it for the final time.
Memories of me bowing down to him at the exact place flooded through my mind, making me cringe.
I heard the doorknob slowly twist before a book fell.
"Y/N?"
I sighed as I kept my gaze on his desk for a few seconds before turning around to glare at him.
"You shouldn't be here, you're supposed to be resting in bed."
I rolled my eyes, crossed my arms in front of my chest, and leaned my lower back onto his desk. "Last time I checked, I'm not marked by you so I don't have to follow your stupid orders."
Our last interaction was a confrontation and we both didn't realize it. I couldn't say I regret it nor was it worth it.
Zalgo screamed out in pain as he let me go to try to attend to his wound, making my head slam onto the ground.
If living meant I would suffer more, I choose death.
(~~~)
The pastas froze in shock when Y/N let out her final breath.
"No!" They screamed.
Zalgo stumbled back as he tried to pull out the dagger. He groaned in pain as he saw her dead on the floor. His vision had completely come true and there was nothing else he could do. He couldn't change his destiny when it was already written down.
The ring of fire died down, making the pastas run up to her.
Zalgo let out his final breath as he smirked at Slenderman. "He comes." He warned them before his seventh mouth opened.
"No!" Slenderman raised his hand at him to stop him, but it had been too late. His souls were free and would cause destruction. His body slowly turned into golden dust, like Zen. Zalgo was now dead.
Slenderman teleported in front of her body before he sank to the ground and pulled her into his arms.
E.J.who was previously trying to find a pulse before Slenderman arrived, shook his head. He stood up to join the others watching Slenderman in silence.
"I'm so sorry Y/N!" Slenderman sobbed as he held her tighter. "I didn't want you to die!" He gently stroked some hair strands behind her ear. "I just got you back, you can't leave us again."
His brothers had warned him of this. He would realize he cared about her but it would be too late. She was now dead and now he had to carry the burden for the rest of his life. He was barely dealing with the consequences after years of constant mistakes.
The proxies were on their knees as they took off their masks, paying respect to their former head proxy. Poor Toby cried uncontrollably as his twitches worsened. Masky and Hoodie pulled him into a side hug, as a way to silently comfort him.
Painter also took off his mask and kept his gaze on the floor while Puppeteer placed his hand on his shoulder as he looked at her with a sad expression.
Liu and Jeff hugged each other, realizing how lucky they were both alive and had each other. They both kept a neutral expression but fought their urge to cry. Y/N made them reunite as brothers. Without her, they would have killed each other or would have had no communication.
Ben and Dark were also on their knees as they paid respect. Y/N had brought them together yet they weren't able to thank her. The last time Dark had a proper conversation with her was when they formed a plan. After that, everything happened too fast. She got influenced by Zalgo, got hurt multiple times, and now she was dead.
E.J. and L.J. were standing with sad expressions as they stood behind the proxies. L.J. recalled when Y/N and he went out and brought Sally to the mansion. Ever since then, Sally was a bundle of joy in his life. E.J. recalled how he was the only one that didn't get brought into the mansion by her but their first interaction was on the same night. He helped her bandage her wound when she tried to stop Liu and Jeff from killing each other. How could he have forgotten that when the topic of immortality was brought in?
They all couldn't accept that their friend had gone. She had brought them all to the mansion and had done so much for them, they weren't able to repay her. They weren't able to save her from Zalgo.
"I'm so sorry! Please come back to us." Slenderman pressed her body on himself before kissing her forehead as he sobbed. He looked down at her wounds, making his heart shatter into a million pieces. He couldn't imagine the physical and mental pain she had felt throughout the years, especially with this fight.
Regrets swirled through his head as he kept trying to think of ways this could have been avoided. It all began when she came into the mansion and he was so cold towards her.
She wouldn't need to prove herself to him if he was kinder. She wouldn't have taken the hit and Zen would have stayed in the mansion. Y/N wouldn't have grown with Zalgo's secret visits, nor would she sacrifice her freedom to save the pastas. She wouldn't have died if he just gave her immortality and told her the actual way to kill Zalgo when they had their battle. If only he trusted her sooner.
One thing for certain, it was all his fault and now everyone was paying the price for it.
~Little A/N~
For anyone who wants to read back the chapters with a different perspective after reading the memories at the beginning of this chapter, I will be commenting them below. It sucks how I can't comment on each paragraph like Wattpad to make it more organized.
Where Zen agrees to work with Zalgo- It follows up after a random memory Y/N remembered at the end of chapter 46
Zen getting banned from the forest- Beginning of chapter 35
Zen healing Y/N in the cave - Takes place before Y/N woke up at the beginning of chapter 20
Zen (kinda) confronting Zalgo when he's laying in bed with Y/N- chapter 38 (little shocking, I know)

You're free now
Quick fan fiction, sorry for the grammar, English is not my native language.
Bucky for Avenger reader
--------------------
You did it without even think about it, when you watched your best friends, Tony and Steve fighting to death, you rushed to the last super soldier serum in the room and injected to yourself to stop them. That would change your life forever and would turn you into the Avenger you're now.
But you chose to stay with Tony. Steve was your best friend, and Bucky, oh gosh, when you saw him getting frozed in Wakanda your heart broke again, thinking you could never have a 'normal' relationship with the super soldier. But Tony needed you, with the backstory of his parents, and the fight, he really needed you by his side, and after explaining this to Steve, you came back to the Avengers compound with Tony.
It's been one year since then, and that night, after your classic Monday dinner, and a couple drinks with Tony, Friday informs that you have a private call. You don't expect nothing so curiously run into your room and answer:
_ 'Y/n, my lovely friend, I have good news!'
T'Challa's voice sounds happy, happy to speak to you and happy for the news he brings to you.
_'hi King, so nice to hear of you!! you're making me anxious, what happen?? _ your voice sounds high, nervous, you think to know what he's going to tell you, and they're really big news.
_'We have it, we know how to erase the Winter Soldier programming, we're going to awake him'_ T'Challa says.
_'I'm coming right now'_without any more words you rush into Tony, not for asking permission, just to inform you're going to take the Quinjet and be out for a few days.
He doesn't know in what are you involved, but he doesn't try to stop you, he deeply trusts you and he knows that now you can take care of yourself pretty well, so he just kiss your cheek and tells you the password for the jet which is happen to be: 'the sexiest Avenger' (lol) .
You put on a nice dress, not a combat gear today, and pack a couple things for the next few days, get into the Avengers jet, and in a couple hours you're landing on Wakanda.
T'Challa receives you with a smile on his face and a tight hug, you still remember how nice he were when he met you, even you were on Bucky's side, and you gave him the hug back.
'You look amazing, like a goddess Y/n, I'm sure the soldier will awake just with your smell'_ he says between laughs. You blush but want to see Bucky right now so you try to say hi to everyone as quick as possible, to start with the process.
You'd like Steve was there, but half of your friends were fugitive now, and you had no way to contact them, so this will be something just between you and Buck.
You come into the fancy modern room where he's been kept frozen all this time, and see his long dark hair through the looking glass. He's so beautiful, he looks in peace, like sleeping in a deep dream. But now it's time to wake up, and as you promised him, you are here.
Shuri starts pressing buttons and suddenly the crystal chamber opens and with a slow sshh Bucky starts to open his eyes, just to see you in front of him.
_'Good morning sweetheart'_his first words pierce your heart, you didn't even remembered how sweet his voice sounded,
_'Good night, actually, doll'_ you answer with the nickname he always gave you, making him smile wide.
After a thousand test, Shuri made sure he was in perfect condition, and then a couple of Dora Milaje, Okoye and Ayo, drove you to the place they had prepared for him to stay in Wakanda.
It was nothing fancy or technologic, just a humble cabin, clean, nice, and simple. The perfect place for Bucky to be relaxed and recover in peace.
_'it's not a big place, y/n you can stay at the palace if you want to, our King will be very happy with it', Okoye says winking her eye.
You decline the offer, the queen size bed in the cabin will be more than enough to stay, and you didn't want to leave Bucky alone, not today.
As soon as the Dora Milaje leaves, Bucky put you in his arms in a long, sweet hug that makes you feel in heaven...
_'I swear, all of this time, I've been dreaming about you, my sweet doll, how are you, and Steve, and... the world!! '_ Bucky felt anxious to know everything that had happened since he was frozen.
_' I'm fine, super strong, super quick, serum, you know... Steve I didn't hear about him since last time I saw you, and the world... it sucks, as usual. But the most important point is, Tony forgives you. I've been speaking long time with him, about his parents, about you, and he understands it was not your fault, you were just a Hydra puppet. So he is in peace with you now'.
This declaration makes Bucky smile with relief, and hugs you even tighter, trying to catch your scent and feeling happy for the first time in a very long time.
You spend the night talking, and laughing, and kissing, and having sex. An amazing sex.
And that night continued for the next couple of months. You stayed in Wakanda with Bucky, who some kids now called the White Wolf, working in the reprogramming of your favorite super soldier, until it comes the key night, time to try the damn words and test if the work had been productive.
Ayo came into the cabin to look for you two, and took you to the deep forest, where Bucky could be relaxed and controlled, in case it went wrong.
Bucky and you sat on a bench and you prayed for the best taking Bucky's hand in yours. While Ayo started saying the cursed words, you were surprised how good was Ayo's Russian accent, and felt Bucky's hand tightening into yours with each word she said.
When she finishes, nothing happens except Bucky breaking to cry. You put him into your arms while he cries like a baby, and Ayo finishes the ritual with the words 'you're free now' and leaves.
Now a new era begins for you two, and a happy life to share together... or that's what you think in that moment, trying to enjoy it.
---------------------
Hope you like it, sorry for the grammar again, I'm loving TFATWS, Bucky's so beautiful 😍

Mx. Shoggoth, I Presume? Pt 4
Warning! Sexual humor and heavy swearing ahead.
-----------------------------
It's Showtime!
You two stood there, shuffling your feet for what seemed like hours. You'd never been proposed to before, even if it was fake. What came next? You had an old ring you had picked up the day before. The etched silver band reminded you of him, the carvings almost matching his signature stripes. You supposed you ought to give it to him now.
"Ah, by the way doll." Beetlejuice cut through your thoughts, "I uh… well since we need this gaggle of breather kids to see me it'd be best if…" he trailed off, barely audible as he mumbled "I'd like it if you'd summon me."
"Pardon? Sorry, I didn't catch that."
He raked his hands through his violently pink hair, "Just read this, dammit." He handed you a business card.
"... A matchmaker? Beej I don't think I need this right--"
"TURN IT OVER."
You did so. "Beetlejuice… Beetlejuice…"
He had to lean against the side of the house to steady himself. He was way too happy with the way his name sounded coming from you.
"Beetlejuice." You finished. A familiar cloud of green smoke formed around the two of you as the demon launched himself into the air. He did a flip and summoned up some fireworks, sending a wink in your direction. What a showoff.
"It's showtime, baby!" Being summoned, let alone by such an exceptional human, gave him the high he needed to get past the last few awkward minutes. He glided down to you, grabbing your hand to give you a quick twirl before pulling you off of your feet and dipping you backwards. "Thanks for callin' on me, tootse. What can I do ya for?"
"What just happened?"
"Well," he pulled you back up to your feet and swung you through a few dance steps while he explained, "I haven't really felt like I could ask Lyds to summon me after what happened last time, so I've only been here in SPIRIT, you might say." He chuckled at the pun. "You can only see me because you're a bit strange and unusual, like her. For normal folks to see me, and for me to be physically here, I gotta be summoned - and guess who just summoned their first demon!"
"... I did?"
"You did!" He nearly leapt around you as he continued flinging you about. Where had this man learned to dance? Was the instructor on cocaine?
Flustered by trying to keep up with his quickening dance moves (and, admittedly, by all of the physical contact with your attractive demonic friend), your thoughts went back to the ring burning a hole in your pocket. "Ah, here." He (thankfully) stopped dancing as you pulled the ring unceremoniously from your pocket, thrusting it towards him. "Gotta have the matching set, right?"
Gosh. You were just so smooth. Cool was your middle name. The demon across from you definitely didn't notice your palms sweating, right?
"Ah… yeah. Yeah I guess so…" His earlier bravado fled from him like a frightened bird. He picked up the ring and fiddled with it for several moments, avoiding eye contact like one look could strike him re-dead.
"Y/N! Beej! C'mon! We're gonna be late!" Lydia shouted from the driveway, pulling you two from your stupor.
"Shit, right. Uh… let's go wrangle some children?" Beetlejuice said, attempting to sound suave and totally unbothered (and failing).
"Yes, let's shall!" You two were going to set a record for the smoothest not-couple in New England.
Lydia, itching to test out her provisional license, insisted on driving the three of you to the school where you would be meeting the other students. Saving you from making any further cool-headed and completely normal conversation, she took the liberty of walking you and Beetlejuice through the rules on the drive. "Beej, I'm going to need you to shapeshift. Can you make yourself look, you know, alive?"
He slapped his cheeks, turning his skin marginally pinker and wiggling his eyebrows at you as if he'd just built the Eiffel Tower in front of your very eyes.
"Can you put in about 1% effort, at least?" Lydia deadpanned.
He huffed and shook himself, emitting a puff of green smoke. The man who emerged looked like your demon friend, but cleaner and a bit… suburban. His hair was a muted brown with emerald green streaks at his temples, the moss and soil that usually clung to every crevice was gone (though the earthy scent remained). He even swapped out his signature striped suit for a casual black button up and dark wash jeans. He looked… well he still looked really damn attractive, especially when he used your staring at his new appearance to give you that cocky grin of his.
"Like what you see, tootse?" He said, running his left hand through his hair. Your eyes snapped to the ring, your ring, on his finger.
"Yeah, life suits you." You smiled sincerely. "Could do without the grave smell, though."
"Hey, that's my natural musk you're talking about. Drives my lovers crazy, if you know what I mean." He leaned towards you, craning his neck to give you a good angle to take a whiff.
You fought the urge to take an exploratory inhale. You were failing. Thankfully, Lydia literally snapped you out of it, before you could embarrass yourself a third time today, by clicking her fingers in agitation. "Let's focus, lovebirds. We're almost there. Y/N, you remember the backstory I gave you?"
"Yup! I moved here one year ago looking for a quiet place to write my book, (and God, do I wish the quiet part were true) and met BJ while I was working on my laptop in the diner on 7th. He told me he'd help me through some dialogue I was stuck on if I took him to dinner. The rest, as they say, is falsified history" At least the reason you moved to New England had been true, though you hadn't exactly found much quiet time for writing in the last few months.
"We snuck out and fucked in the alley behind the diner, right next to that graffiti of those two cartoon cats. It was hella romantic." Beetlejuice slung an arm around you, "you told me right then and there you couldn't live without me or my amazing penis. Of course, I have standards, so I made you wait a few months before I popped the question, but--"
"Beej." Lydia warned.
"What? You didn't give ME a rundown on OUR backstory, so I've gotta improvise."
"I gave you the notes three days ago, it's not my fault you drew dicks all over them, Just let your lovely, responsible spouse do the explaining, ok?" She said, pulling into a parking space in the back of the school. There was a bus waiting there to take them all to the airport, already full of kids. She quickly jogged up to the doors, taking a seat with two kids in the back that you assumed must be her friends. You wasted no time in hauling your luggage inside and addressing the crowd.
"Hi! I'm Mx. Shoggoth, call me Y/N. I'll be your guide--"
"That's my bit!" A disgruntled Beetlejuice complained, pushing you aside. "Hey kids, who's ready to party it up in the Big Easy? Maybe get your voodoo on?"
"We're here to make sure they DON'T get into trouble, BJ."
"Ugh, lame."
"Right. Anyway, this is my husband, Lawrence. You can call him BJ" You gestured to your partner in crime, whose cheeks were tinged with that familiar pink you were used to in his hair. "We're here to make sure y'all don't get mixed up in any voodoo or, you know, die in any fashion."
"Booooo." A teen moaned from the back of the bus. You could hear Lydia chuckling, as well.
"See? You're lame, the kid agrees." Beetlejuice smirked, shoving you aside and taking a seat at the front of the bus. He patted the seat next to him, glancing at you as you finished up your safety spiel.
"... and we'll be meeting your music teacher at the airport, so til then I've been told you should be looking through your sheet music." You ended your speech, taking your seat next to Beetlejuice.
"So professional. Keep that up and I may lose my libido forever." He snickered.
"Yeah well, your sex life isn't any of my concern." You hissed.
"Oh, isn't it? Is that any way to talk to your loving husband?" He grabbed your hand, grazing your knuckles with his lips for good measure. It seemed, once there was an audience, Beetlejuice transformed back into his needy perverted self with no issue.
You, on the other hand, were still easily flustered. Perhaps, you noted as you felt your cheeks practically light on fire and your breath catch in your throat, even more so with an audience. You contemplated jumping through the bus doors just as they closed, sealing you into your fate.

The fix was quicker than I expected! Dad’s bringing it (the computer) home today :D
someone needs to photoshop smiling cherubs and flowers around them
OH whoops, sorry about the misunderstanding ^^;; Idk what I even want to happen to the Touken baby, I just don’t want it to die in the womb.
Uta/Touka child might also be pretty attractive, now that I think about it ;)
(Uta/Rize or Uta/Itori child would look even better though)
I was in a nice, fluffy mood when I wrote that. Unfortunately, as I’m going to get my computer back and will be able to start working on the Heathers AU again tonight, this will probably be the last you’ll see of Cinnamon Roll Evans for a while :)
YES I read the new Kuro chapter! Honestly I disliked the 2CT for various reasons  but now that it’s actually become canon I think I feel a little better about it (also, is it just me or does ‘real’ Ciel look a bit different from 'our’ Ciel on the last page? His face looks too…perfect, if that makes sense). I’m excited to see what this means for Lizzy’s relationship with both Ciels and Undertaker’s connection to the Phantomhives!
Oh, actually I agree with you there? What I meant by 'op’ is more of a really strong character, not an overpowered one ^^;; sorry, I’ll try to explain myself better:
Super strong characters like Levi, Mikasa, the Titan Trio, Kaneki, Eto, Arima, Sebastian…they are all technically 'op’ (especially Sebastian, dude has literally no weaknesses so far). However, they work because they also have traits that interest us beyond just their strength. Kaneki is a lonely child, a selfish person with a fear of being left behind, drifting and unable to find a reason to live. Levi is an orphan who was raised by a serial killer- he clawed his way up to where he is now. Annie is a sixteen-year-old trained into a killing machine from childhood, she went through life believing that the only person she could trust was her father, and she was desperate to return to him.
(It’s also difficult because everyone seems to have a different definition of 'op’; I personally just use it to jokingly refer to powerful characters or when I talk about strong characters whose power levels are inconsistent with canon to the point where it gets ridiculous (example: we know titan shifters take some time to heal, so if a titan shifter came along who could be behaded then have their head instantly stick back onto their neck like some sort of AoT version of Noro, I’d consider them OP).)
I guess what I was trying to say was that it’s fine to have strong characters, just make sure that they have an actual personality (readers need a reason to care about the characters, after all!) and that their powers make sense? ^^;;
(Also, I think I might have sounded a bit passive-aggressive or rude during this convo about op characters, I'm really sorry if I did OTL I didn’t mean to, but when I reread my comments I realized they could come off that way)
I agree with you about the AoT OCs though. Unfortunately there aren’t a lot of good ones…actually, most OCs I see for popular fandoms aren’t very interesting. Other than the powers or character designs the thing that bothers me is the lack of proper personality (why do so many people think 'happy’ is a personality trait???).
And definitely agree 100% on the angsty backstory. Like, that’s just overkill. There’s a difference between tragedy and being edgy. (It also sort of depends on how good the writer is at conveying emotion and handling the angst, but for the most part stuff like that is
That’s a great way to do things! :D I’m really, really disorganized when it comes to making characters…usually a concept pops into my head and I run with it, adding in details along the way. Tatsuo was created when I wanted to make a male TG OC and suddenly this image of a smug-looking guy with a long black ponytail popped into my head, Naomi started from the idea of making a character with the themes of 'self-discovery’ 'identity’ and 'lies’ woven into their arc. Louisa was literally born from an outfit- I randomly thought of an outfit that looked really pretty and traditionally feminine, yet was actually very practical when you looked closer. Then I tried to imagine what kind of person would wear these clothes and that was Louisa…
idk, I’m bad at explaining stuff haha
(also: Tatsuo was also inspired by various vampire characters I saw in anime/manga, books and TV shows. He’d be so offended if he knew LOL in fact, he just might serve me for dinner at the restaurant or something ;-;)
TYSM! I’m really glad you’ve liked all three of my OCs so far, thank you for listening to me ramble about my babies (actually only Naomi is my baby, Tatsuo and I disowned each other and Louisa moved out) <33333
As for Lou, I’ll send you some more info about her after I develop her a bit more if you like? :) For now, a few random things:
-rarely shows emotions like anger or sorrow
-not because she’s bottling them up, but because she’s learned how to handle them in a healthy way
-always smells like mint for some reason
-maybe because she’s addicted to mint tea
-her bodyguard suspects she doesn’t drink water at all and lives on the stuff
-she also likes strong flavors
-has the kind of bright, pretty smile that makes you want to trust her
-so you do
-and you (probably) get killed
-had a girlfriend named Iris once, a nice, sensible girl who managed to keep her from getting too buried in her work and various plans for her family and took care of her in ways that her bodyguard couldn’t (AKA somehow got her to realize that mint tea does not equal a proper meal)
-unfortunately Iris did not know that Lou can be a bit terrible
-she walked in on Lou casually wiping the blood off of her knife with the dead body of a certain businessman on the floor in front of her
-“Oh, Iris. What are you doing here, darling? I thought I asked the servants to keep you upstairs, my private meetings can be a bit messy… Iris? Love, are you quite alright? You look a little pale…”
-Well, that was the end of that relationship
XD the titan designs are one of the best things about AoT, in my opinion. You could make a gallery out of all the pictures of them that that have appeared in the anime and the manga so far lol
Oh, really? Hope you enjoy/ed the list then :D was it ok??? (Part 2 was intended to smash feels)
Sweet! That wasn’t so long ^^
I know you meant Voldy and Draco by the flower statement but...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’m this close to finding a physical copy of the manga and throwing it in the fire while yelling ‘Lighten the fuck up’.
Gimme the Uta/Itori love child now, pretty please. Damn, that would be one attractive baby.
And now I fear for my life. Great. Well, more for my hear than for my life, but whatever.
Well, I never really had a formed opinion on the 2CT theory, but I did read a few things about it. I didn’t expect it to be true, though. Welp, now we can assume it is true, and I am SHOOK Here’s an accurate description of me during the chapter.
I think that might be since he’s a tiny bit more similar to Vincent, while Our Ciel is more similar to Rachel. I mean, we know that there are physical differences between the two (if we assume that Real Ciel is the one who was previously Lizzy’s fiancé), because Real Ciel is taller than Our Ciel.
Yep, I definitely can’t wait to see where it’ll go from now. I remember seeing a post that said ‘This is the biggest shock to the fandom since we found out Undertaker was fuckable’
Also: Our!Ciel: three years ago I lost my dear twin brother to some cultists and a demon. Real!Ciel: Quit telling everyone I'm dead! Our!Ciel: Sometimes I can still hear his voice...
Oh, I see! I always think of OP as OverPowered, that’s why I got a bit defensive ^^;;;;;
Well, like you said, everyone has their own definition of OP.  Sometimes, I’ll even think of OCs who have trait that’s already specific to another character as OP, like Titan-Shifter OCs, or OCs with a plot basically the same to a canon character (not OP but very irritating) And don’t get me started on Demon-Contracted OCs in the Kuro fandom. Those make me want to defenestrate myself.
Yup, I have no problems with strong characters as long as they’re not ridiculously strong and aren’t there purely because of that power, but they also have personality.
Don’t worry, I reread my original statement about OP characters and was like ‘man this sounds so bitchy and high and might hnnnngh’ but couldn’t find a way to rephrase it properly ^^;; So, no worries, I know how you feel ^^
Well, for some reason, it seems that the people who make believable OCs are either lazy or scared to post theirs. Or they simply don’t care. The ones with Mary Sues like to holler at people with ‘LOOK AT MY BAE CHARACTER AREN’T THEY PERFECT???’
There’s this blog I follow (it’s gone inactive, unfortunately) that takes Mary Sues and breaks them down (well, the correct term would be make fun of, but they do offer some advice on how to improve them), and you wouldn’t believe the shit I found there.  Here’s the link if you want.
For some reason, people seem to think that the edgier the backstory, the ‘more original’ the character, which (of course) isn’t true, because that means everyone will have a super tragic backstory that no longer makes sense.  Another thing I’ve noticed is that they sometimes avoid some pretty important details like ‘Character was born into a healthy, happy family. One thing led to another and the family was killed, while character was molested (a very common backstory theme) and taken in by a cult’ and I’m like ???
My character usually start out like this: *luna is watching a show*  OK BUT WHAT IF THERE WAS A CHARACTER WHO-
And so a new character is born.
But your ways of starting a character are also quite interesting ^^ Especially by looking at an outfit!  I ALWAYS WANNA LISTEN TO YOU RAMBLE ABOUT CHARACTERS!
Titans make me laugh, honestly. Like, these are supposed to be the main bad creatures? Steampunk zombies (kabaneri) look scarier than that.
It was the hulk smash of feels :-))))
