JC to WWX: YoU WeRE SuPpoSEd tO Be My SuBOrdiNatE-
If JC & WWX really are a family (which they are not), then it's very toxic. Every time JC opens his mouth it's about things like 'you owe a debt to my sect' and 'my father favours you' and 'you are the cause of my sect's destruction' and 'my mother was right about you'. This kind of power dynamic is better off not called a familial relationship.
In contrast, yiling trio won't kill each other and they also deeply respect one another, so it's a healthier relationship. There's no superior-inferior dynamic going on between them. They are more 'family' than yunmeng trio could ever be.
I guess JYL could be WWX's family, she isn't malicious, loves WWX enough to sacrifice her life for him, but not powerful enough to do much either. As for JC? I don't think he would be happy if WWX is considered as a part of his family, unless a servant is also considered family. After all, the only advantage JC has over WWX all his life is his gentry status, how could a classist like JC ever be willing to see WWX, the 'son of a servant', in the same social class as himself?

“Go set that table quickly,” Liang Meifen instructed one of the servers in her inn as she eyed the trio outside. “We might have customers coming in,” she added as she observed the man in black with a red ribbon in his hair and the other man in light blue robes too pristine for the tiny marketplace in Yiling.
She could see a small boy, no more than five years old, running around from stall to stall, eyeing the toys with delight before running back to the two men. Given the way the child always returned to the black-robed man and clung to him without ceremony or decorum, Meifen concluded that they were related. Perhaps the angelic blue-robed man was a visitor; he was most certainly not from anywhere nearby.
Just as she had thought and hoped, the black-robed man gestured to her inn and his companion nodded after some hesitation. With a triumphant smile, Meifen glanced at the server who nodded quickly, grabbing his small booklet to welcome the customers and take their orders. She watched silently, utterly intrigued by the odd trio, and tried to gauge their relationship. Both men were too handsome to be regular village folk. While the blue-robed man was unquestionably from a large, well-to-do, reputable clan, the man with the red ribbon had a very imposing aura and an extraordinary presence.

Kaohsiung, Taiwan -- Elephant Gym 大象體操 will be releasing their 10 year anniversary album World on December 14 via Topshelf Records. Last week, the trio released two tracks from the upcoming record "Happy Prince ft. YILE LIN" and an orchestral rework of their 2013 song "夜洋風景 Ocean In The Night," featuring Hom Shenhao (of punk act Touming Magazine) on vocals.

Hearing the orchestra version of "夜洋風景 Ocean In The Night" left me breathless. Having listened to the band over the last 5 years, it's incredible to hear how they've developed their sound throughout the years. Both "Happy Prince" and "夜洋風景 Ocean In The Night" show an evolution in their style while still maintaining an unique vibe. The added brass and woodwind instruments add another dimension to Elephant Gym 大象體操 that is even more full-bodied and lush. Truly hoping they have more tracks like this in the future.
