i want to give a bit of info to everyone who only knows miguel from the movie:

•he is not a vampire! his fangs are from his spider dna and are filled with paralyzing venom :) fun fact: the size of his fangs makes him mumble so other people don't see them while he's talking!

•he wasn't bitten by a spider like most spider people! spider dna was atomically spliced directly into his genes making him 50% spider

•he doesn't stick like other spider people! he uses the talons on his fingers to climb around and such! fun fact: these talons can easily slice through solid metal :)

•he doesn't have a spider sense! instead, all of his senses are majorly enhanced!

•yes! he always moves like that! he automatically moves like a feral monster because that's what he is!

•he has a fiancé named dana and a little brother named gabriel! they are the two most important people in his life :) fun fact: gabriel recognized that it was miguel in the spider suit the first time he saw him in it!

•his eyes are red because they can see in major details and in complete darkness. fun fact: this makes his eyes super sensitive to light, which constantly gives him migraines :)

•yes! his ass is that huge in the comics, too! everyone in the comics are always commenting on it ^^

•miguel is irish/mexican :)

•he is NOT the original spider man of his universe! there was a peter parker in the past before the year 2099

just wanted to clear up some facts about him movie onlys may have misconstrued ^^

I love how this is Isagi’s character core point: differently from the other guys in Blue Lock, who have always known to be good - and have always played to their strengths enhancing them throughout the narrative, Isagi on the other hand has no delusions about being above average player skills. He simply understands reality as it is, and that is exactly why is he both able to evolve, and be as rational as he is, at the same tome incurring in the ires of the other players and putting them in their plays.

Isagi’s real weapon here is being with his feet well placed on the ground: he sees things as they are, he processes them rationally and then acts on them. Unlike Rin, the same Shidou, Barou, Kaiser and Yukimiya - Isagi is a realist. He is never been in the situation when he was the best, and has no expectations for himself or what he can achieve: there is no peak, it’s all a road up and above.

It’s also why Ego’s commentary in this chapter is important: what he says for Nagi and Yukimiya is a bit of a general discourse that Isagi has applied unknowingly now for a while. Once a player is over in his head above himself (somewhat Kunigami) it’s over: they believe a fluke is their ability and when they fail to up keep with their own expectations and those of others, they start yo fall into a pattern that eventually makes them mediocre, instead of true egoists.

On the other hand, Isagi by the virtue of now having a self to fall onto, a talent he can use, of not being as good as, is able to put himself in the situation where he can learn, where he can best the others by exploiting not only his own strengths but also their weaknesses. It’s about about an ‘I’ type of ego, but an ego that makes you conscious of yourself in the field and your position: it’s a selfish ego that makes you jump when the moment is right. It’s not about a “I will do this all alone”, but a “I will make it happen, because I am the only one able to make it happen” and that, my folks is Isagi’s essence.

He is an egoist because he has learned to cope with his faulty self and has passed a stage where he is the challenged rather than the challenger. Isagi IS evolution because he does not care about falling prey to mistake - but instead uses them to devour himself all over again.

Isagi: Can you not pat my head so often? Because I might assume you like me.

Kaiser: *Holding Isagi's hands while walking around the halls* Okay?

ladies, gentlemen, everyone:

here i present you a new column: echa’s style corner!

basically, i rate the bllk character’s various outfit in collabs and whatnot. shall we begin?

- Barou: the military-style jacket really suits him! and the red accents make it less old.fashioned - plus, they match the shoes. the tartan trousers are nice; the only flaw here is that they are rolled up (team anti rolled-up pants forever!).

- Rin: the best dressed hands down. the turquoise tartan overcoat really suits him and the sllek turquoise tie fits perfectly. plus, you can never go wrong with black, which makes the alreay cited pieces of cloting stand out even more. and is anyone willing to talk about his gloves? the polished shoes??? VERY ELEGANT

- Chigiri: isekai’d straight from one of those school anime light novels. the colour combination (blue, white and pink) in itself is good, but a pink tie over a pink shirt is an eyesore; especially because the shades are very similar. the wide leg pants don’t go well with that kind of jacket; to add insult to injury, they are rolled up. welp, at least he chose light coloured socks.

- Isagi: i declare him under arrest for crimes against fashion. if we consider only the upper half of his outfit, he’s okay: excluding the double-breasted jacket in the middle of the day -which is a little finesse-, his lime green papillon both fits with the tartan lines on the jacket and gives a nice hint of colour to an otherwise dull blue outfit. but. the trousers. THOSE GODDAMNED TROUSERS. listen, i’m all for patterned half + plain other half, but not when the colours are so similar. at this point, just wear your full tartan suit, leave the jacket open and you’re good to go. and don’t get me started about the socks. that vibrant blue compared with the pastel tones of the outfit is a punch straight to the eye. rin, please, help him

- Bachira: of course, no one expects bachira to wear a full suit, and it’s okay! here his knee-length trousers, combines with his hat and the socks give full 1950′s movie vibes. but stil, it’s a pretty solid look, with the cream coloured sweater matching his brown tartan shorts, the yellow socks have an hint of orange which makes them blend well with the rest of the outfit; plus the yellow bow tie both matches his hair and gives playfulness to the mise, which is in character.

- Kunigami: surprisingly, one of the best dressed here; the dark red gilet really suits the earthy tones of his tartan suit. and the orange stripe on his scarf is a genius way to connect his bright orange hair to the rest of the outfit. maybe the trousers and the gilet should be a little longer, but, overall, this look is very solid.

- Nagi: i have mixed feelings about this. on one hand, i’m not really a fan of the wide squared overcoat combining with the tartan grey gilet(?); on the other hand, it kinda ties the outfit together? connecting the white turtleneck with the black trousers? except they are two different shades of black? i really don’t know. but i know that the white socks don’t fit with the black pants at all (dark grey ones would have been way better). and the rolled up trousers kinda suck, but maybe it’s just me.

- Reo: as i said talking about isagi, i’m not a fan of similar coloured plain half + patterned other half; except in this case it works, because there’s the trench coat drawing a line between them. i might be biased because i love trench coats, but i think his outfit is nice! the turtleneck shirt connects his head (his hair are tied) with the his outfit, the diagonal tartan pattern makes his trousers very fashionable, and the not fully buttoned trench coat doesn’t take itself too seriously. but still, it’s tied in the waist, avoiding the liutenant columbo effect.
