Yan!Parents Daemon/Rhaenyra Targaryen Headcanons (Platonic)

โtw: obsessive and possessive behavior, overprotection, mention of death and murder, unhealthy platonic relationships and messy writing.
โ๐pairing: platonic yandere!daemyra x gender neutral!reader.
Rhaenyra and Daemon were looking forward to the arrival of their first child. Daemon already had two daughters and Rhaenyra her three precious boys, but they were very eager for the first fruit of their marriage to be born.
The day Rhaenyra gave birth to you was one of the happiest memories of her life. The pain of childbirth was excruciating, but when she could hold you in her arms, it was all worth it.
Daemon actually sobbed when he held you for the first time. You were so small, so innocent and so perfect. He swore to himself that he would do anything to be good to you. You would be loved and adored forever.
They are both extremely overprotective and possessive over you. You are their child, you belong to them, so you should not associate with anyone they do not approve of.
Any friends you may have will be investigated by Daemon and if he finds anything that displeases him, that friend will disappear from your life. He is not objective, if that person's great-grandfather was an bastard, for example, that means they will never be good to you. And you deserve only the best.
Rhaenyra not only agrees with this, but encourages her uncle-husband's actions. You are her baby, the most precious person in her life and she only wants the best for you. She will give you the best, she knows what is good for you. After all, mom always knows best, right?
Your older siblings would also have developed their own obsession with you, encouraged by their parents. It didn't take long for the Velaryon brothers and Daemon's daughters to become completely attached to you.
You were not only your parents' obsession, but also your siblings, meaning you can bet no harm would be done to you. You were spoiled and protected, the apple of everyone's eye in Dragonstone.
Whatever you want, you will have. Rhaenyra and Daemon are completely soft when it comes to disciplining you, just one puppy look and they will forget everything. You are their child, you could do no wrong in their eyes.
Everyone is instructed to spoil and protect you, the servants, the guards and your brothers will do so willingly too.
Daemon is very possessive, he feels entitled to you because you are his child. He will kill anyone who looks, says, or even breathes wrong at you. There's no way he's going to let anything happen to you.
Rhaenyra is more controlled, but she is still a dragon and you should never mess with a dragon's offspring. She loses all her senses, her reason when something happens to you. Even if it's a paper cut, she will go into a frenzy of rage.
Any love interests or suitors will also be dealt with quickly. They won't allow you to get married, no one will ever be good enough for you.
If something were to happen to you, gods be good, for the true fury of the Targaryens would be revealed. They will burn, kill and destroy everything in their path for you. All that matters is you, the war will be forgotten by you.
And when it was just ashes and the smell of blood and death was in the air, they would be satisfied. Daemon and Rhaenyra will go to extremes for you. You are their baby and no one, absolutely no one, can change that.
Daemon and Rhaenyra will not lose anyone else, not their child. And when the war for the Iron Throne begins, you would be locked in and protected the entire time. Your parents love you and would do anything, but they don't know boundaries or privacy. It doesn't matter, after all, they are your parents.

What if Daemon shows up at Aegon II's second birthday party with the little girl he just stole? as if he came saying "stop looking at that hightower brat and look at my baby" and then leaves as if nothing had happened (rhaenyra didn't have time to spare her new cousin)
REAL. Daemon is very much all for stealing the show with his new daughter, going as far as to run his mouth about how sheโs a more worthy heir than Aegon, even despite her lack of biological relation. He only really says this to get people to shut up about trying to put Aegon on the throne when itโs rightfully Rhaenyraโs, but once he says it, he realizes that his daughter SHOULD sit the throne. Heโd rather die than see his daughter marry Aegon though, trust.
Iโd like to think Rhaenyra is extra fond of the little girl due the feeling of constant competition between her and male family members. Itโs good to have a little girl around who admires her.

To my dearest,
This letter will not be my usual response, a lot has happened in the past few nights and I have yet had the time to inform you. It is my displeasure to say that your grandsire has passed and his wife, and his cunt of a son has usurped the throne from your motherโs grasp. That is not the only loss we have come to bare, Rhaenrya has lost the babe do to stress of the news. War is being planned and I have sent for you to come back to Dragonstone at once. We all miss you dearly and with such loss only you can fill our hearts again. Much is to be done and we have yet to decide our plans. Rhaenrya is missing her only daughter that we have forgotten why you left in the first place, truly bring us down. I hope that was never your intention, but I know youโd never leave your family alone intentionally. I love you my darling girl and we can not wait to have you back,

The letter shakes in your hand and you look out the window to see the small city streets being filled with your Daemons men coming to take you away. How stupid were you to think you could stay here forever, away from them. The word โFather.โ Daemon had wrote gave you a sick feeling in your stomach and a horrible taste in your mouth. He, was not your father. Too much in that note reveals the truth about the darkness of your family you tried so hard to get away from.
Viserys was your father and not your grandsire as he put it, and hearing about his death made you distort. He was kind and caring, let you move away for a while to get the peace you searched for. But your mother had done the thing you begged her not to do from a young age and sat Aegon on the throne. Worse of all, war was breaking out between sides and you had no choice to follow daemonโs orders.
War had you placed you in the center.

Imagine that Daemon had to leave in a hurry for some reason and forgot to kiss his daughter on the forehead, and SHE, LIKE THE POTTERED LITTLE PRINCESS THAT SHE IS, JUST GETS MAD.
But she fixes the problem like only a Targaryen would. She gathers all the jewels that her dad gave her (crowns, necklaces, rings, etc) and makes his little dragon or Caraxes melt it completely.
AND WHEN DAEMON RETURNS HIS LITTLE GIRL IS SO ANGRY AT HIM.
It is rumored that it was the first time that the great Daemon Targaryen begged a woman for forgiveness.
baby will give him the silent treatment and ignore him for months, she goes out of her way to avoid him by spending more time with Helaena, aegon and aemond. sheโll insist that alicent tuck her into bed instead of daemon.
sheโll sit by aemond instead of daemon. she starts having tea time with helaena and aemond instead of him.
daemon is gonna have to get on his knees and beg for forgiveness before she even looks at him again

The little girl that Daemon steals (and leaves orphaned) would have to have at least something special or related to the Targaryen house, right? This man has an immense obsession and pride in his Valyrian blood, if he steals a child she would have to have something in common

so babyโs (bio) father is a thief in Kingโs Landing, and i like to think sheโs roughly 7 years old, so sheโs old enough to grasp the idea of thievery and what exactly her father does for a living. this leads to her being used in ploys sometimes and also picking up the habit herself.
One night, baby manages to pick pocket Daemon. Heโs not slow; heโd noticed her the whole night but the fact that she was able to successfully steal a pouch of coins from him was impressive. This kind of kick starts his obsession, but it gets worse as he watches Babyโs life with her father; they arenโt rich by any means but her father never lets her go hungry. Daemon gets increasingly angry when he sees the lack of โproperโ care.
Daemon comes to the father as a client, stroking the manโs ego and offering a ton of money to steal something from the Red Keep. It was a dirty trick and Daemon pretty much immediately kills him once heโs in the castle, under the guise of โprotecting his familyโ yeah right. But oh? The man left a little daughter? Donโt worry :) good ole Daemon will take her in and care for her as if sheโs his own.
I have a lot more details planned but this is the premise!

I was wondering since the little girl that daemon kidnapped, since she was basically raised stealing and stuff, I was wondering if she'll developed a condition called: (Kleptomania (klep-toe-MAY-nee-uh) is a mental health disorder that involves repeatedly being unable to resist urges to steal items that you generally don't really need.) I just thinks this suits her fir some reason?
Yes Iโve actually already talked about her kleptomania in a different ask but letโs expand some more!
It starts out kind of cute; her getting her hands on trinkets and jewelry, but as she ages it becomes a legitimate problem (esp bc daemon never really discouraged it.)
This DOES get her in trouble eventually when she tries to steal Viserysโ crown, which ends up kind of revealing a plot point about her biological father.
But luckily by age 14, she gets smart about it and outwardly acts right.

I like the idea of Daemons (kidnapped) daughter growing up as his only child, but it feels kind of awkward if itโs during the Rhea era when he takes her bc that makes her so much older than the other kids. At the same time, I love Baela and Rhaena D:
I HAVE THE SAME DILEMMA!! I want her to be at least Aegons age, but the timeline doesnโt support that if he takes her during his marriage with Rhea. ALSO it feels odd writing him just taking reader home when he has two daughters and a wife idkโฆ
Unfortunately I love Baela and Rhaena so I donโt want to remove them from the story. (These 2 EAT in the books u guys, trust. We havenโt seen much of them in the show yet.)

if yan mama alicent and yan dad daemon's child were a boy, I imagine a little boy with alicent's hair and his grandmother alyssa's eyes, daemon would be deeply proud of his son, because he might not be Alicent's firstborn, but he is Daemon's firstborn. AND DAEMON WANTING HIM TO ENGAGE TO BAELA OR RHAENA!! all at a young age to keep him around
Can you imagine Daemon's jealousy if he sees Criston teaching his son?
I completely agree. Prince!Reader would not be Alicent's first son, but Daemon's first (since he would be born well before the births of Aegon III and Viserys II). There is no doubt that Daemon would love his child regardless of gender, but I can see that with a male child he would be even prouder than he already is.
Like all men back then, and perhaps even now, he always wanted a son. He loves his daughters very much, but he loves his son deeply and is very proud of him. He doesn't care if the reader doesn't totally look like him, because his son has Alicent's hair and Alyssa's eyes, it's so perfect for him. It matches.
Daemon would definitely like to marry his son to one of his daughters, in the Targaryen tradition of sibilings marrying. Both sisters would be great choices and the final choice is up to the reader, but Daemon would only allow a marriage to one of them to keep his son close. Only the problem would be Alicent, the Queen would not want to marry her favorite son with anyone, but if she was forced to choose, it would be with someone close to her, depending on the time, maybe even Helaena would be chosen. Which would lead to a fight between the two, but the final choice would probably be Prince!Reader and Viserys.
As for the Criston part teaching Prince!Reader Daemon would completely disapprove. He hates Criston and doesn't think he's good enough to teach his son, no one is good enough to teach him but Daemon. He knows better than to declare that he is Prince!Reader's father, but perhaps he can convince Viserys to let him train the young prince. It is even likely that Viserys allowed his brother. And he also would be very jealous of Criston, but he will never admit it.
When I read this concept, I found myself asking two questions: What if, instead of Aegon, Alicent wanted to crown Prince!Reader as King? Not just bypassing Rhaenyra but her own firstborn. Usurping both thrones for her favorite son, no doubt. If Daemon would support? It would depend a lot, he would be married to Rhaenyra and would probably support her but depending on the situation I can see him supporting his son.
Perhaps the Dance of Dragons occurred between Rhaenyra and Prince!Reader at the end. Or perhaps not at all, if a change were made and the reader married Rhaenyra before she married Daemon.
