For Howzer Thursday...
...Firstly, I'd like to thank everybody who sat tight and didn't get disappointed when I had nothing to show off for Wednesday--in other words, I think the cold weather kicked up some kind of seasonal affective disorder in me, so that's why I had no updates. ^^;
Second, I DO have something to show off today, which is a poem I spent an afternoon writing up and editing after work.
So guess what--this thing is DONE and ready to go, 214 words, Poetry/Imaginary Country Song, and all about a certain Captain Howzer!
Small content warning for mild swearing, but other than that, it shouldn't be too wild. Enjoy!
Hey, Howzer
Hey Howzer, you’re no quitter
You’re a Captain with no fear
When the world’s gone down the shitter
You’re standing with your peers!
You’re all decked out in white and teal
And off to take a stand
No wonder all us natborns feel
Like we’d love to hold your hand!
Well, they shipped you out to Ryloth

Marshmallows and whipped cream and syrup and white and dark chocolate mixed, with a hint of cinnamon… maybe a splash of peppermint schnapps… 🥴 I’d help myself to one as well!

I can see Howzer doing something outdoorsy, like long hikes or something with wildlife. Something with Ron Swanson vibes, where he truly just enjoys the solitude and beauty and serenity of it all. It’s a place where he can let his guard down, which is a relief because I think he carries a heavy burden of trying to maintain both peace and integrity. 💕
