It’s just me and my “kya faida” against the day

Mercy’s other name is peace.

May your heart be in hands of those who are as pure as you are.

Is it just me or you all can’t picture yourselves in your heads?

Life is a candle light, flickering, burning moths, lighting far and high skyline,

As they say, no man ever steps into the same river twice,

I wonder, whether the same light casts its shadow on people twice.

What is light and what is the darkness that it hides.

Does it contrast or are these my eyes contradicting everything in sight.

Death occurs so swiftly,

I am right here today

I may not be tomorrow.

What should I call to-do list left undone,

What should I call the paintings left untouched.

What is grave-guard and what are his duties.

They say, stand tall and face the world,

I ask, who am I and what will the world be without me,

I get no reply, that’s my answer for living.

How do you forgive yourself for not spending enough time with your loved ones now gone.

Why is that I get the best pitches for my poem at bed time that I forget in morning, best one-liners, best story plots, best couplets; my brain really does not want me to be successful.

The detailed analysis of characters in a book makes me wanna be a detective.

There are days when people selflessly celebrate and then there are days when the heart wretches in pain. The agonising moments and feigned smiles. The pain and the suffering. Not to mention the roofs that were once full of laughters, are now the parts of graves. Graves of flesh, graves of souls. The loss of happiness and sadness in gain, is the only deal they made. So this year, I hope this eid brings solace for everybody in need. May this eid brings health, wealth, prosperity, and oneness in the hearts and souls. A sense of belonging in words and deeds. May this eid flourishes all the new paths you take and may Allah SWT grants us our prayers with khair, and sabr-shukr in every step we yield, hidayat to be low-key in every success and failure, and all the ibadats and sacrifices we will make till the last breath of our day. May Allah SWT grants us the highest level of jannah. Remember the ummah in your prayers.
