Fucking h*rry p*tter has made it impossible to find anything wizard related on the internet and that is a fucking shame. "Wizard fabric" is all h*rry p*tter prints. "Wizard hat" is all just that fucking stupid h*rry p*tter hat. "Wizard lingerie" gives me fucking h*rry p*tter themed lingerie, do you understand?? I'm trying to dress as a sexy wizard, why is it so hard to dress as a sexy wizard? Does the world hate cool shit??
Since I've failed to properly set up my messaging spells under my wizardly identity, I've had to resort to using this poor vessel I found called "anon" to ask a question on the behest of my true self, @casters-coture .
It's quite amazing to see a fellow maker of fine robes and garments here on this plane since my shop did another realm jump! Shadow Wizard Tailors Gang...is this an actual coalition or union of fashion savvy wizards? Are you, or any other dashing robe makers, open to business partnerships or future collaborations on arcane attire? My sincerest apologies if I come off too strong, being a stranger in these new whimsical lands.
~ Mx. Scorpio D'Magos, Mage of the Stage
Ah! Greetings! Good to see a fellow purveyor of wizarding garments!
Unfortunately, currently, unless you know of any others, shadow wizard tailors gang is just me but I thought it sounded cool! I would absolutely be open to future partnerships! I'm always looking for new inspiration and fellow collaborators with whom I can share my love for fine robes and hats!!
Welcome to the area! It's good to have you around!
Wizard, please help me. I can鈥檛 decide what garb to wear to the apothecary (the cafe). I鈥檒l take literally any advice, but I would request something cunty and bog appropriate.
Lily didn't like long capes. Because they were always on her ankles, which irritated her. She wore a shorter version. Usually in navy blue or dark green.
She loved to wear coats, usually checkered ones. Every day she wore a shirt and a sweater with trousers or a short skirt.
In the summer she wore flowing dresses (which drove James crazy).
During club meetings, she always chose a Muggle dress, even though it stood out. In this way, she wanted to show that she is not ashamed of the family she comes from.
She had a gold necklace with her parents' initials
She loved Muggle fashion and thought Muggles had better taste. She liked to combine Muggle customs and clothes with wizarding ones.
Even though she often heard that she should adapt, not provoke with her appearance and generally blend in, she thought she didn't have to. And she wanted to be proud of who she was. What she chose in clothes was her little rebellion and showing the middle finger to those who did not accept her.
(This post inspired a book about women during World War II. Which, through her appearance, she showed against the occupation. You can show anything you want through fashion, appearance, hairstyles and makeup).
-I want to make a post about James, but I have to think about it-

I tried my hand at a design of Tenar from Ursula Le Guin's novel The Tombs of Atuan. I love the idea of a teenage girl being the high priestess of the elder gods sealed inside a vast underground labyrinth.
You know how often fics talk about muggle clothes or wizard robes, school robes, auror robes, formal robes, etc?
You know what I'd love to do tho??
Design casual wear day to day wizarding robes.
I feel like we only get to see uniform type robes or formal robes (yule ball, professors, politicians, Bill and Fleur's wedding) in the movies. And even still, a lot of that all looks downright muggle.
So what I want to do is design essentially a style that is specifically wizarding whether it is a casual day outfit, a date outfit, a dress, or whatever. But no matter what it is, it looks downright wizarding so you can tell it isn't muggle.
I'm picturing interesting hem lines, more unique fabrics or maybe embroidery, billowing sleeves at least half of the time, maybe a lot of buttons. Or maybe muggle-ish outfits but they have matching robes to wear open loose over them. And then there could be quite a variety of style, fit, and weight of those depending on look, function, season, etc.
I'm just a guy in a tailors shop really, I don't have an apprentice, yet (aspiring robemakers get in touch), I just get by with my shears, a wand and arnold, my enchanted sewing machine.
I've made all sorts of robes for all sorts of wizards in the past, if you need robes making or want to set up an order, shoot me an ask or a DM!
We also supply some wizarding accessories as is standard, a good robe needs a nice brooch to hold it together after all.
