I dream of reading one shot in universe where we have dark Lily and dark James together. A golden couple of Slytherin. Your authorship. I think it would be epic.
When I tell you you literally blew my mind with this one… 🤯 I don’t know why, but those characters just belong in totally different worlds to me, so I never even DAYDREAMED of what them being together would look like… 😳

my opinion:
I think Lily and James had that type of love that grows on you over time. It was not a sudden explosion, although it may have seemed so from the outside. They grew into their feelings, the more they developed individually, the more they fell in love with each other.

I don't know about you, but I always imagine James as someone with a sarcastic sense of humor.
Don't get me wrong, I love my sweet Labrador James, but I always picture him (especially in Year 7 and after school) as someone very sarcastic, with a crooked smile. Epic phrases, sassy, a bit mean but in a charming way.
I imagine that when someone says something stupid, he and Lily look at each other and she starts laughing as soon as she sees James raise his eyebrows.
Overall, James always had this "I don't give a shit" attitude in my head. When you got to know him better, it turned out that he was a very caring person who cared about the feelings of his loved ones.

My headcannon - POTTER FAMILY
I always imagine James' mother as a very elegant woman with an aristocratic charm. After all, he was from the Black family. The type who doesn't raise his voice to be heard. She wore elegant dresses with pearls. Her nails were perfectly done and her hair was tied in a perfect bun. Red lips. Like Grace Kelly but with black hair. Even though from the outside she seemed very cold and inaccessible. She was an incredibly nice and empathetic person. Who just had hard skin.
James' father was completely different. he was crazy, full of life, energy and humor. He was always in a hurry and had a larger than life personality (like James). He drew from life like a lemon. He was always busy with some adventure, he couldn't sit still. He never gave a damn about how he looked, his shirt or hands were always dirty. He spent his days in his workshop, where he invented strange inventions and potions.
I think James was a lot like his father, but he had his mother's charm and posh.
James was their dream son. After many attempts, miscarriages and after they lost hope, he appeared. They were quite obsessed with him and were very protective. Mrs. Potter was especially sensitive about her only son.
When Sirius moved in with them, their family was already complete. They loved him as much as James. Mrs. Potter immediately asked Sirius to call her "Mom" when he moved in with them.
The Potters had dogs. They loved animals and had 5 dogs that they named after their favorite Quidditch players.

I love James from Enemy Within ❤❤❤❤. This is how I imagine this character (maybe minus being a bit of a psychopath😎). A wonderfully created character, and the whole story is great. I come back to it on average every two weeks to read it again. 🥰
Soooo, will the new year bring us a small one-shot from the Enemy Within timeline? For example, from James' perspective? 🥰😍🤩😈 Is this something I can count on?

I’m still working on the far-too-daunting task of going back and grammatically editing all my past works so that I can get them printed for myself 🥰 Turns out I always cranked them out so fast bc I was missing a LOT of errors 🙈
But now I have given myself the ADDED task of making a PG-13 version of Right Reasons for my mom so that she can finally read something I’ve written 🤣 Seemed like the easiest story to give her 😅😅😅😬 A story like Enemy Within is just ALL sex scenes… so it would be like 10 pages without them 😆

Wizarding fashion - and Lily Evans Potter
*just my imagination, not canon*
Lily didn't like long capes. Because they were always on her ankles, which irritated her. She wore a shorter version. Usually in navy blue or dark green.
She loved to wear coats, usually checkered ones. Every day she wore a shirt and a sweater with trousers or a short skirt.
In the summer she wore flowing dresses (which drove James crazy).
During club meetings, she always chose a Muggle dress, even though it stood out. In this way, she wanted to show that she is not ashamed of the family she comes from.
She had a gold necklace with her parents' initials
She loved Muggle fashion and thought Muggles had better taste. She liked to combine Muggle customs and clothes with wizarding ones.
Even though she often heard that she should adapt, not provoke with her appearance and generally blend in, she thought she didn't have to. And she wanted to be proud of who she was. What she chose in clothes was her little rebellion and showing the middle finger to those who did not accept her.
(This post inspired a book about women during World War II. Which, through her appearance, she showed against the occupation. You can show anything you want through fashion, appearance, hairstyles and makeup).
