formula for a lestappen quali podium:

charles greets max with a wink

total exclusion of whoever is in p3 (they don’t even notice they’re doing it really)

max gets smiley and giggly

tightly clasped hands upon greeting like someone might tear them apart

mention or two of each other in post-quali interview

charles puts his arm around max for the picture….far too soon

often far before p3 has joined them for the photos

quali photos look a little something like: 👬🧍‍♂️

arms linger for a second even before the pictures are done

more yapping

so much yapping

p3 is short for third wheel actually!

finally, the yapping is interrupted by an official who has to gently guide them away from each other

but don’t worry they get to sit next to each other for the next half hour in the post-quali press conference!

I am fascinated by the way Kendall is physically presented in later parts of Succession. Shaved head, often in monochrome brown or dressed down in track suits. Combined with his sudden repeated references to Buddhism he evokes an image that is sort of monk-like. I think he knows that in order to take Logan down he has to destroy himself as well, and he is mentally coming to terms with this. Like a state of prolonged meditation to prepare for self immolation.

Unironically though. It always kinda bugged me that Arceus is just, a Pokemon, y'know? Like it's cool, it looks like a legendary, but I mean that's it. It just looks like a legendary Pokemon.

Like, it's funny that you can pretty much just fistfight Pokegod, but I just feel like the god of the Pokemon world that created the universe should be a bit more separated from your average Pokemon, you get me?
