Sooooo for the anon who asked (and for you of course, if you're interested), I've compiled a lazy timeline of Joe's relationship history - just things I remembered off-hand, no researching or fact-checking or anything. I'm truly sorry for how fucking long it is lmao, tbh you may want to copy and paste it into a text post so you can put a Read More bc holy shit why has this man had so many relationships and WHY DID I REMEMBER SO MUCH OF IT WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME. As a disclaimer my level of JB obsession has varied a lot over the years, so some of these relationships I know a lot more about than others just based on how closely I was following Joe at the time, and again I didn't research literally anything here so it's possible some of it may be misremembered. Okay here we go:

Mandy, who the OG song Mandy was written about, was the first Joe romantic interest fans ever knew about. I don’t remember anymore if they were actually even together at all or if he just like had a crush on her or something, but he was definitely into her to some degree when he was very young.

He dated AJ Michalka from Aly and AJ for some unknown length of time when they were like 15-16. He eventually revealed that she was his first kiss, she miiiiight have said he was hers too but I also could have imagined that. For a long time it was rumored that Potential Breakup Song was about him, but years and years later while answering fan questions on Twitter AJ finally said it wasn’t, but a different breakup song called Flattery was. (First known appearance of Joe Jonas: Serial Muse Extraordinaire. It would take two more strikes for him to finally seemingly learn that he should probably stop dating and dumping songwriters.)

For a hot minute he was rumored to be dating Miley’s friend/backup dancer Mandy (of The Miley and Mandy Show fame) during the Best of Both Worlds Tour, but I genuinely to this day don’t know if that was true or not lol. I remember a couple vaguely 👀 pictures existing of the two of them but they also both seemed to just be physically affectionate people in general, so they truly could have just been friends.

Joe met Taylor Swift in 2008 and, as teenagers sometimes do, they had what seemed to be a brief but intense relationship that then exploded into a dramatic mess. He famously broke up with her via a 27-second phone call, she famously exposed this on the Ellen show, and then they both spent the next couple years just publicly whacking each other at random opportunities before the bad blood (no pun intended) between them seemed to dry up and they gradually became friends, especially once Joe started dating Gigi Hadid who was already close friends with Taylor. A lot of bangers came out of this relationship and breakup on Taylor’s end – I can’t pretend that songs like Jump Then Fall and Last Kiss weren’t integral to my young Joe girl fantasies about the kind of boyfriend he was, really appreciated that very descriptive imagery – but IIRC the only JB song specifically known to be about her was Much Better. The Jaylor arc eventually wrapped up with both of them saying it was silly teen drama they laugh about now and each making gestures of amends (him changing the live lyrics of Much Better to acknowledge that they’re cool with each other, her saying she regretted putting him on blast on Ellen and should have handled it differently) and she sent him and Sophie a baby present before Willa was born. ALSO: one of my favorite bits of hilariously random Joe lore ever is that in 2015 he went to one of Taylor’s concerts and hung out with her brother, who at one point very literally had Joe’s tiny ass sitting on his shoulders while they vibed to the music. Like…okay then lmfao.

Next was Camilla Belle, who he met when she starred in the Lovebug music video. I’d be remiss not to acknowledge that the public Taylor/Camilla timeline was a bit messy and it’s not entirely clear to this day if there was any overlap or if he fully dumped Taylor before pursuing the new object of his interests, but either way it was pretty clear at the time that he didn’t really behave wonderfully there. Maybe watching Nick start living out his own fuckboy love triangle era around this time inspired him. Regardless, he and Camilla were together for I want to say several months at least before he seemed to get his heart broken pretty badly. I was kind of getting less involved in Jonas fandom by then due to some new fixation I was having instead so I don’t really remember what happened between them, if we ever even knew to begin with, but I do remember him seeming pretty torn up over her for a hot minute there. The one other bit of Camilla lore I remember was that there was apparently some drama at the beginning because Joe and Nick both liked her, which in hindsight is extremely ?????????? all around bc 1) Nick was like 16 and I'm pretty sure Camilla was like 22, he absolutely should not have even been in that conversation at all, 2) Joe probably shouldn't have been in the conversation at all either considering he literally already had a girlfriend at the time and 3) genuinely the very last thing Nick should have been doing in 2008 was trying to pick up a THIRD girl as if his plate wasn't more than full enough already? Was his little ass trying to build a harem??? ANYWAY.

I think Demi was next after Camilla, but again I was falling out of keeping close track of the Jonaii during this time so this is where things start getting pretty fuzzy. I want to say they got together at some point during the filming of Camp Rock 2, or maybe during the press tour for it? and their relationship was fairly highly-publicized, including a professional joint photoshoot and interview they did for some magazine which awkwardly released like right after they broke up lol. While Demi’s feelings seem to have been fully genuine, Joe revealed (or at least implied, I honestly never read what he said about this firsthand lol I just heard about it a lot) at some point years later that he’d felt pressured into dating her by Disney/his team for publicity reasons. I withhold judgment on that aspect since this was obviously a super fucked up situation neither of those very young people should have ever been put in by their employers in the first place, but regardless he clearly went on to hurt her in some way bc she wrote a lot of heartbroken songs about him (including some she co-wrote with Nick, which he’s said was very awkward for him lmao). The song Sorry from Fastlife – not to be confused with Sorry from ALBL, which was about Miley – is commonly thought to be about Demi, though idk if that was ever officially confirmed or not. They clearly worked things out at some point though, because for several years in the 2010s they seemed to be fairly close friends…until they weren’t anymore. It’s still not clear if something happened between them specifically or if Joe sided with his brother in whatever fallout destroyed her friendship with Nick or what, but for a while Demi appeared to be on pretty bad terms with all the brothers. Nowadays she and Joe seem to be okay with each other – they hung out at her Halloween party a few years ago and seemingly had a good time together, and I think they sometimes like each other’s IG posts and such – but alas, the glory days of their friendship seem to be over for good.

At some point somewhere in all of this Joe dated Brenda Song for like three weeks or something??? We know almost nothing about this fling except that it happened. I constantly manage to forget about this and every single time I remember I’m just as surprised as I was the first time I learned it.

I wasn’t paying much attention at all when Ashley Greene showed up in Joe’s life so I genuinely don’t remember when that happened – I feel like it could potentially have been anywhere from late-ish 2009 to early-ish 2011 – or how long they lasted. I do remember that he always seemed happy with her and from what little I saw of them I thought they looked more serious than any of his past relationships had. She apparently inspired most of Fastlife. At some point they broke up, which as far as I know wasn’t dramatic (at least not publicly) but again, I was barely keeping up with Joe at the time. Years later, he revealed in a Reddit AMA that he lost his virginity to her.

I vaguely recall him going on like one or two dates with various random women in the early 2010s, none of whom seemed to stick for very long before being replaced with another. The only somewhat notable one of these women was model Natashia Ho; we’ll come back to that in a minute.

At some point in 2012 he started dating artist Blanda Eggenschwiler, who would become his longest and most serious relationship until Sophie. They seemed very happy together and posted each other on IG a lot. At some point he got a tattoo inspired by one of her paintings, which he still has and presumably has no plans to ever remove or cover up. In early 2013 there was a wild and hysterical rumor about a sex tape of the two of them that allegedly involved, among other things, Joe getting paddled with a ball gag in his mouth – during the initial hilarious drama of this rumor dropping Natashia Ho, previously all but forgotten about by fans, tweeted “Yea sounds about right” and then deleted it shortly after which was…honestly probably still the funniest thing any Jonas ex has ever done tbh. An icon. ANYWAY: My most vivid memory from this relationship is that during the big drama of the band breaking up (though at the time we didn’t know yet that was what was going on, just that the tour that had been about to start got cancelled super suddenly and everyone was being weird and vague about why and Joe and Kevin seemed upset), we got several days of sad or anxious-looking Joe candids in a row, and then the first time we saw him smiling again after everything exploded was when Blanda was with him ❤️ Most of the fandom liked Blanda a lot and and we quietly suspected for a while there that she was the woman he was going to marry (he may have also thought this himself at one time), but alas, they shocked us all by announcing their breakup in I believe August of 2014. As far as I remember there was never any post-breakup drama or anything between them and she just kind of faded away from fandom consciousness, except for one incident I remember from a few months after the breakup where she posted like a half-finished drawing of a face that looked suspiciously similar to Joe’s on her IG, leading to a lot of speculation and debate among fans about if it was supposed to be him or not and what, if anything, it meant if it was. (The answer apparently was that it meant nothing, because they didn’t get back together or anything, although I’m not sure if that’s even what we were expecting anyway. In hindsight that whole situation was just kinda dumb and pointless lmao but it kept us entertained for days regardless.)

Joe and Gigi Hadid started dating in I want to say early 2015. I was barely paying attention at this point and genuinely have no recollection at all of how long this relationship lasted – I feel like it was pretty short-lived but idk – but it went on at least long enough for her to direct the Cake By The Ocean music video, so there’s that I guess. Gigi got back with her ex Zayn very shortly after they broke up and Joe apparently made some kind of comment (again, I never read it just heard about it) implying that he was somewhat bitter about this. When asked at some point not super long after their breakup to play Fuck/Marry/Kill with three of his famous exes, he said he would kill Gigi (and marry Demi and fuck Taylor, if anyone's curious). If there was any further Joegi lore after that, I either never knew it or don’t remember it.

Joe and Sophie started talking in DMs and then hanging out in person at some unspecified point in 2016, but weren’t publicly spotted together until late in the year – IIRC they were first seen together in group pics from some random Halloween party, but no one really seemed to put two and two together until a few days later when they were caught fully making out at a Kings of Leon concert lol. They got engaged roughly a year later in October 2017, got Vegas-married in May 2019 and then married-married in France in June 2019, and welcomed two baby girls in July 2020 and July 2022 respectively. I’m choosing to stop here bc you said you know the most recent stuff and I don’t want to make myself sad lol 🙃

OKAY WELL that was long as hell and made me feel lowkey pathetic for knowing all this lmao but hopefully it satisfied your thirst for tea, anon. Now to start working on Nick's timeline... 🫡

I guess I did have Joe's dating timeline in my head at some point which is on brand because I've never actually been normal about him

Did he or did he not date Chelsea Kane (Stella on Jonas) because I saw some online speculation about it because they were hanging out a lot - fully can respect them being friends just wanna point out their onscreen chemistry was incredible so I wouldn't be surprised if it flowed into their personal life

I agree that it's not a rebound relationship for Sophie and Perry. Perry was single for a while and not to be negative but I also think Sophie's marriage would have ended sooner if not for the pandemic. I remember an interview she did during the pandemic where she said it was great for her because they were always home and otherwise it was hard to pin the rat down as he was always out with friends. Now that really shows the dynamic of their relationship, his life didn't change much after marriage and kids while Sophie's did. Sophie was obviously the main homemaker and caregiver to their kids. Sophie and the kids went where the rat wanted/needed to be. I was angry on Sophie's behalf that she was travelling two months after having a baby when she should have been recovering and resting.

No one knows how relationships will go but Sophie and Perry are still together and seem to enjoy being together. They're a similar age, both with one long term relationship previously, Sophie has kids, they're not just out of their teen years. Whether they make a serious commitment like marriage in the future is something I doubt either of them knows or has even thought about. Maybe they're just having fun together or it started that way and they found they really like each other.

I'm just happy that Sophie is enjoying her life. Her home is back in the UK with her family and friends, she's back working on projects she's excited about and she has a romantic relationship. Someone else said she looks more youthful and I think she's just happy with her life right now.

I basically agree with you anon. But just as a side note, I didn't think about an "upcoming" marriage until certain articles started to appear back on March . . . .

“Sophie’s telling friends she’s in love,” says the source, adding that Joe, who’s battled his ex over daughters Willa, 3, and Delphine, 20 months, has “relaxed” since he started dating Stormi. “Joe’s keen on getting the divorce sorted out. He would like to get to the altar first, no doubt about it.”

And I was even more 👀 👀 👀 because this articles sound like coming from the 🐀 POV, like he supposedly heard his ex wife is already in love so he would like to finish the divorce soon so he can re-marry *FIRST*??????????

So I started to wonder why these articles are suddenly talking about "upcoming" marriages?????????? And while discussing this with some friends, we concluded that maybe the 🐀 is thinking about marry again BEFORE his ex wife for legal reasons, like having a stable marriage in the US and even having new children, would help him in future custody petitions after the divorce.

And vice versa, a stable marriage in the UK and having new children, would also help the other parent.

Those articles already stopped, but recently rumors started about new girlfriend being pregnant, since she posted and soon deleted a picture where her tummy looked like something is cooking in the oven. And even after she denied it on her Instagram, people didn't believe her . . . .

Who: Cari & Sophie @sophbelindadreams

When: Saturday, November 26th

Where: Sophie’s House

What: Cari returns home from Jersey to find her stuff missing and a major surprise from Sophie.

CARI: It had been a really long few days back in Jersey, and Cari had enjoyed getting to spend time with all of her family. Even if it was a short visit, she had made every minute of it count with each person. Normally she would have stayed a lot longer, but every second she had been there was just spent missing Sophie even when they were facetiming or texting every chance they got. Which was basically every minute of the day, and Cari practically screamed with excitement now that she was in her car driving away from the airport. The flight had gotten in later than originally planned, thanks to some delays, and she was increasingly impatient. All she had to do was stop by her own place to change out the clothes in her suitcase, then she’d be back with her girlfriend for the first time a few days. A length of time that was really nothing to spend apart for them after the last few months, but ever since they had made things official, Cari was attached to the point of not wanting to spend any time away from her girlfriend. That’s why she was hurrying inside now that she was back at her house, ready to pack quickly and get out of there. It took less than a minute for Cari to notice things out of place or missing. Her blanket was not draped over the couch, her guitar was nowhere to be seen, and her closest was completely empty. To put it simply, Cari was freaking out and immediately facetimed Sophie, needing to hear her girlfriend’s voice to calm her and help her through whatever had happened to her stuff. “Soph,” she said as soon as she answered, her voice not exactly calm, “I don’t know where all my stuff is. I think I got robbed or someone is fucking with me, I don’t know. But so much of my shit is missing and I’m freaking the fuck out.”

SOPHIE: Sophie had enjoyed her time with the Jonas clan as she always did every year. It warmed her heart to know that the Jonas family still wanted her around for the holidays and still treated her like family even after Joe and her's divorce. She hated that it meant she couldn't be with Cari, but she did call her girlfriend every chance she got and even Facetimed her when Joe, Nick and Kevin performed on Thanksgiving so she could see the show with her and the girls. Being away from Cari was something Sophie knew she'd have to get used to at some point, but it still felt weird not waking up next to her every morning. So, naturally, Sophie's thought when she got back home from Thanksgiving with the Jonas family was to just sneak into Cari's house and effectively move whatever she could of Cari's into her house. Because that's what you did two weeks into a relationship with someone, right? Just take their stuff and put it in yours like it was a natural thing. So when Cari Facetimed her to tell her that she had been robbed, it took everything in Cari not to bust out laughing. Knowing exactly what she did. Though, she really couldn't stop the tiny knowing smirk from gracing her face. "What do you mean? It's all here," Sophie said casually, bouncing a babbling Willa in her arms while she tried to see Cari on the phone, waving her little hand at the singer. Clearly wanting to be apart of the conversation and see her even if she had no idea what was going on.

CARI: Cari knew that she likely should have called the cops first, but she needed to calm herself and be able to think properly first. The only person who could instantly calm her would be Sophie, and she felt it the second her girlfriends face appeared on the screen. “No, not the stuff I left there,” she said, her voice filled with frustration, “All my stuff at my house, it’s just gone. But the doors are fine, it doesn’t look like-why are you smirking right now?” Cari was more than slightly annoyed that Sophie didn’t seem to be taking it seriously but she tried to hide it the second that Willa’s face appeared a moment later. “Hey, angel! I missed you,” she told Sophie’s daughter, trying to keep her voice as calm and soothing as she could for the sake of Willa, “Let me talk to mommy for a minute, and I’ll see you soon and you can have all my attention when I get there.” Cari kept a smile on her face until Willa wasn’t on the phone anymore, it instantly dropped the second it was back to just the two of them and she flipped the camera around to show Sophie her place. “Look, it’s gone. My guitar, my clothes, even my blanket that Grammy made me. It’s gone,” she stressed, trying to make Sophie understand the seriousness of what was happening as she put the camera back on herself. Cari slumped down onto her couch and ran a hand over her face, trying to figure out what all steps she needed to take and wondering if she’d ever get her stuff back. “I’ll call you back. I need to…call the cops, and try to figure out what happened,” she told her girlfriend and looked at the phone, “Why is this happening when I leave for less than 3 days and nothing happened when I was gone for months? It makes no sense.”

SOPHIE: "I know it's not the stuff you left here, babe. Don't think you can count that as stolen," Sophie joked, shifting Willa a little as she squirmed about trying to get Cari's attention still. She was way too small to pick up on the tense nature that Cari had at the moment, only caring about Cari waving back and talking to her. "Because I just told you where everythin' was," she said, putting her daughter down on the ground once Cari said hi to her. Satisfied that she got the attention she wanted, Willa ran off to the living room to color a picture for when Cari got there in a little bit. It earned a quiet laugh from Sophie seeing how excited even her kids were to see Cari. Though, the actress would still argue that she missed her the most. Her elbows now rested on the kitchen island, phone propped up on the ceramic bowl filled with fruit that she bought earlier that morning when she got back. "I see that it's gone, babe. Someone was very sneaky and got all your stuff out of there before you could get home. But don't call the police, though, because then they'd be comin' to arrest my arse. Now I know we said you'd bail me out and then fuck me right there in the police station, but I don't think that's a good idea right now since I have Willa and the baby. Maybe next week."

CARI: Cari’s head was spinning and trying to solidify a plan for what she needed to do once she hung up with Sophie, growing slightly more irritated every time Sophie seemed to brush off the seriousness of what was happening. Just as she was about to say something about it and let it be known how frustrated she was becoming, Sophie started talking again and Cari froze to stare at the screen. “What?” she asked, confused and partially unamused. It took her a second to fully process it all, and she just looked at Sophie through the phone with a blank look on her face. “You did what?” she asked again, immediately getting up from the couch to grab her keys, “I’ll be there soon.” Cari hung up the phone and made her way to her car, still trying to fully understand what was happening and why Sophie had done that. And especially wondering why she hadn’t given her some sort of heads up. The drive took way too long thanks to LA traffic but after what felt like an hour, Cari was finally at Sophie’s and walked inside in search of her girlfriend. “First things first,” she said and walked over to kiss her softly, “I missed you.” Even with the questions and annoyance at whatever was happening, it didn’t change the fact that Cari had been pouting for days over missing her girlfriend and needed to kiss her and greet her properly. “Second,” she said after kissing her a few times, “Why did you take all my stuff? And why didn’t you tell me so I wasn’t freaked out?”

SOPHIE: Sophie raised her eyebrows when Cari abruptly hung up on her and turned to look at Willa who was now sat at her tiny table in the living room, still coloring her picture for Cari. "Willa, Coco is crazy," she joked to the little girl who merely looked up from her photo, blinking at Sophie with her pacifier in her mouth. "Glad you agree with me, babe." It took a while before Sophie heard Cari's car pull up into the driveway and the front door was being swung open. She wanted to open her mouth and make a commet about breaking into people's houses to be a little shit, but she was met with Cari's lips before she could do so. A content hum escaped as Cari kissed her, body already reacting to the singer being back and she tugged on the pocket of Cari's hoodie to pull her closer. She smiled cutely up at Cari when the singer pulled away to scold her for taking all her stuff. "Just thought you'd need help movin' in. Gonna be honest, you were supposed to come home to a sign, but um . . . I realized it's on the coffee table over there. Mum brain, you know."

CARI: Cari had been racking her brain the entire drive over to figure why Sophie would have taken all of her stuff, what reason there could be and it usually landed on her girlfriend playing some sort of prank on her. The last thing she expected was what came out of Sophie’s mouth, causing Cari’s jaw to drop instantly and stunned her into momentary silence. It took her a minute, eyes glancing between Sophie and the coffee table as she tried to fully process the bomb Sophie just casually dropped on her. “Moving in?” she finally questioned, eyes blinking rapidly the more the words set in. Thankfully Willa still distracted in the other room so Cari was able to fully focus on what was happening between her and Sophie at the moment. “Baby, we’ve been dating a week,” she said, still completely in shock at everything. Barely two weeks ago she was just getting Sophie to admit to having feelings for her in Vegas, and now she was just moving her in. Cari was having a hard time making sense of it all in her head. Sure, she spent every waking minute at Sophie’s and barely went home. And sure, the idea of leaving Sophie for even an hour was awful to her, but this was so much more official and caught her completely off guard. “Are you insane?” she asked, honestly unsure if she was joking or serious at this point, “Two weeks ago you wanted to take it slow, and now you want me to move in? No, not want. You literally moved me in already.”

SOPHIE: "I, yeah . . . " Sophie said, scratching the back of her neck as she felt her neck and cheeks heat up a little with a mixture of sheepishness and embarrassment. She realized that maybe she should have asked Cari where she was at in regards to moving in. Something in the actress' brain told her it'd be a cute idea to surprise when Cari got back from her family's house. " I just . . . I, um . . ." she faltered, her emotions and words in her brain mixing togeher like a terrible mixed drink. Not knowing how to properly say what she wanted to, fiddling with her fingers alittle. "I wanted to surprise you, I guess. I just . . I didn't . . . you're just here all the time, y'know? And instead of goin' home all the time to get more clothes or somethin' I just figured it'd be a cute idea to bring your stuff here. Surprise you with it somehow. I didn't . . . I realize I should have talked to you first."

CARI: Cari watched as Sophie tried to explain what was going through her head, feeling instantly bad seeing her girlfriend stumble over her words and react the way she was. Today was the first time Cari had really been so outright about being frustrated towards Sophie, and she hated seeing the way the actress was reacting. “Stop,” she said, her voice softer than it had been since their facetime call. Cari reached for Sophie’s hands and held them in her own, pressing a kiss to her forehead in hopes of soothing her somehow. “I’m not mad at you, baby. I promise,” she assured her and then sighed a little, gathering her own thoughts, “I’m just shocked, and confused, I guess.” Cari for once didn’t feel like she was doing a great job at getting what she wanted to say across and wrapped her arms around Sophie to hold her closer. “You’re just throwing me for a loop the last couple weeks,” she explained and shook her head, “You wanted to take it slow, and I was all in for doing so. And then out of nowhere it went from taking it slow to wanting me to move in a week after we started dating. It’s just really fast, babe. The opposite of what you said you wanted originally, and I’m just confused by it all and maybe a little worried that you might…wake up and regret it all at some point.” Cari let her words hang there for a moment, running her hand along Sophie’s back in the process. “It’s a lot, even for me. I want to be with you all the time, it’s kind of ridiculous how attached I am to you. But this is just a really big step and I want to make sure we’re on the same page, that it’s what you really want for you, and for us. That you won’t regret it and want me gone or something, I guess. I don’t know,” she shrugged, sucking a breath and hoping she was making sense.

SOPHIE: Sophie's speed racer of a heart didn't settle until Cari's lips brushed along her forehead and Sophie quickly clung onto Cari after that. Her face buried into Cari's neck while the singer tried to get her own feelings out there into the air. She didn't want to open her mouth and possibly cut off whatever Cari could have said to her about her feelings. Her arms tightened around Cari while she expressed how confused she was. Which was pretty on par for how Sophie felt at the moment as well. Never had she moved this fast before and it was a little dizzying to her, but not in a bad way. "I hated bein' away from the past few days, Cari. Couldn't tell you the amount of times I almost just picked up Willa and the baby to bring them to Jersey to be with you and your family. I didn't expect to get to this point, either. Not for a while, at least. Christmas, maybe. But not right this second but everythin' with you has been a surprise ever since I realized my feelings for you," she admitted, closing her eyes and letting her body relax into Cari's touch as the singer rubbed her hand along her back. Feeling slightly better that Cari sounded to be just as attached to Sophie as she was to Cari. "I could never regret you, Cari Elise. You've been like an angel that's been dropped right on my shoulder and I'm never goin' to shake you. I want this. Want you. Want to wake up with you here every day . . . if -- if you were okay with that, too."

CARI: Cari kept quiet and allowed Sophie the time to explain herself and how she was feeling the way same Sophie had done for her, not wanting to rush her through it. Listening intently and continuing to give as much physical comfort as she could in the moment, another kiss to Sophie’s forehead being one of them. “I normally would have stayed in Jersey for at least a week, probably longer with nothing going on. But I wasn’t even there a full 72 hours because I needed to get back to you,” she told her, letting her know just how strong the attachment was for her as well. Sophie had really taken over every part of her at this point, and it felt good to know that it was reciprocated entirely by her girlfriend. Hearing Sophie said she could never regret her eased a tension in Cari that she didn’t realize had been there this whole time, much less as strong as it was, tears stinging her eyes as she let out a deep breath. “Okay,” she nodded, unable to really vocalize too much more while she attempted to regain control of her emotions for a second, “I’m more than okay with that, Sophie. Sleeping without you the last few nights sucked, I barely slept. Being with you full time, every single day, that’s more than I could have ever wished for a month ago. As long as you’re sure, then I guess I live here now.” It was a wild sentence for her to say to herself, and she knew it’d be even more wild for other people to hear and likely judge them for but she didn’t care at all. Wherever Sophie was, that’s where she belonged.

SOPHIE: Hearing Cari say that she wanted to be there just as much as Sophie wanted her to be, had her shoulders relaxing a little bit. She didn't know what she was expecting out of Cari when she got to the house, but she was just glad that it was that reaction above anything else. Everything was happening in a way that Sophie never expected it to, but she was beginning to see that all of the best things happened unexpectedly. She couldn't control everything that happened to her and even so, that didn't mean it was a bad thing. Cari was slowly helping Sophie learn that day by day. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you and that I scared you," she whispered, feeling tears prick in her eyes and she hated it. Mostly because she didn't even know why she was crying at the moment. Part of her chalked it up to good tears and not bad, but the actress was still frustrated with herself for the water works. "But I'm glad you're stayin'. I don't know what I would have done if you left."

CARI: “Hey,” she spoke softly, pulling back down to look at Sophie directly in the eyes which were wet with tears that matched her own, “Why are you crying?” Without hesitating, Cari used her thumbs to gently wipe the tears from Sophie’s face, her hands continuing to caress her cheeks for comfort after. “And don’t apologize, baby. You didn’t do anything wrong, except for maybe forgetting the sign,” she laughed a little, sniffling as she slowly got control@of her own emotions, “I’m never leaving you, Soph. I told you forever the other day, and I mean it.” It was slightly terrifying just how much she meant it, even if she had known how strong feelings were for Sophie for months, it still scared her a little just how strong they were and continued to grow into. Cari leaned forward to kiss Sophie then, hands still holding her cheeks, and just let the kiss linger for a minute. It was soft and gentle, knowing Willa could walk over at any minute. “I’m home,” she smiled softly against her lips, “And I missed the fuck out of you.” Now that they had talked, Cari felt much more at ease and like herself, just sinking into the touch of Sophie against her. And this was how she was really going to spend every single day from here on out, the thought alone made her grin. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I promised my favorite girl that she’d get all my attention once I got here,” she grinned, kissing Sophie quick on the tip of the nose before going into the living room to play with Willa. She knew it wouldn’t be too long before both girls would be in bed for the night, and then she’d be able to focus entirely on her girlfriend the rest of the time.

Summer, Year 8: Singles

I have a lot of sims living on the singles lot now (and I try to invite over other single lower class sims who still live on their home lots.) Sims that joined the household this round are Bennett, Isaac, Austin, Amanda Collin, and Kristina Guevara. Since there are so many sims living in this household I had to take advantage of the ability to create bunk beds again.

I did originally want this household to be about more than finding spouses. I also wanted my sims to be able to find nontraditional career paths, but I haven’t figured out how I want to do that yet.

Austin had a teenage romance with Claire, the papergirl, so I decided to age her up. She looks very sophisticated and business-like. I didn’t move her in, so she now delivers the paper dressed like this and I’m not used to it yet.

They have been dating, but I haven’t gotten them interested in making a commitment yet.

Speaking of not making a commitment. I knew I would have to be careful with Jonas, since one of his lovers, Amanda, is living here now. But I forgot that Andrea was in love with him when I invited her to visit. I guess that would be past tense was in love with him.

Isaac and Kay Laughlin have a first kiss.

Love is all around as Kristina smooches Clark Zaidi and a visiting Margo and Linus Farmer fall in love.

Sorry, Ross. It looks like Margo only has eyes for Linus now.

Ross has his sights set higher. He asks Princess Lila on a date. Of course, nothing should come of it, but I was hoping it would trigger Lila to have an engagement want toward Deven. No marriage type wants for either of these sims yet. They’re both just having a good time.

Jonas had better be careful. He’s surrounded by his love interests.

To keep the peace I have to send him out on the town for his dates.

Jonas freestyling for tips is always hilarious and awesome.

I’m not sure is Ava is pretending that she’s not with him or she’s feeling awkward about the teenager standing too closely behind her.

With so many sims dating on this lot, I have been getting a ton of invitations to go out to community lots. Sometimes a new invitation comes in while I’m still waiting on the taxi for the first date or outing. I have to turn some of them down since I don’t know what will happen if I accept multiple invitations at once.

This household also gets a lot of date gifts.

I put the gift items in the inventories of the person that the gift is meant for, but I have a large collection of date flowers that collected before I started doing that.

Clark: Oh, I see, you already had a telescope. Now you have a matching pair.

Then there are others who seem hopeless at dating, like Barry, who spends more time with his sister than anyone. I have a feeling it will only be worse when she actually moves in.

Bennett finds himself falling for Princess Willa, who is way out of his class.

With that wavy hair, he is really dashing though.

When they roll mutual engagement wants, how can I say no?

I was thinking I need a test to see if couples would be accepted by their families, like a headmaster visit, but the game went ahead and provided that for me

when Willa’s family invited Bennett on a timed outing to check out this new guy she is supposedly in love with.

I sent them to Fancey’s restaurant, because of tradition, but I realize that is a poor choice, because they barely get a chance to interact or finish their meals before time runs out. (Also, the restaurant is short staffed and I really need Chloe to hire a couple more employees.)

So we have Willa’s Aunt Delilah from her mother’s side, Uncle Garen from her father’s side, and Cousin Sheridan. Where are her parents?

Hey folks, we’re on a time crunch here. Your detour to the photobooth is not helping.

Willa: So, you see, we are both adults and capable of making our own decisions . . .

*Aunt Dahlia side-eyeing Bennett’s table manners.*

The outing was mediocre and it really wasn’t fair to make them eat first. (Maybe I should design a community lot specifically for these types of outings.

I decide to have Bennett chat with Willa’s parents to see if he can win them over.

And he’s 0/2. It’s not looking good for his future with Willa.

Meanwhile, back at home, Milo asks Princess Sheridan on a date. I was secretly hoping this would nudge her toward Brett, but no, she and Milo roll mutual engagement wants toward each other!

I don’t want to have too many marriages/engagements so far across classes, but when they are so cute together, what can I do? Sheridan and Willa are in different circumstances though. Willa is young and freshly out of university. Sheridan has been raising children (the oldest are nearly grown themselves) in the household she was set to inherit. Would they be willing to give up their birthrights for the men they love? I’m not sure yet myself what makes the most sense. Stay tuned.
