I’m about to start writing articles, try to start writing reviews, and then get into writing smut and poetry again. I’ll make more and more money in time. I love writing. I need to start proofreading my posts on all of social media and will.

it meant so much to me to be able to capture the view in the first photo. this train bridge was a big part of my childhood, as was the river below it. it’s probably close to 100 years old, if it isn’t older than that already. my nanny & papaw, and my aunt & uncle would take my brother and i walking along this bridge almost every day. we swam in the river with my dogs every summer, by the land where the water shifts all the way up to the deepest part at the bottom of the train bridge. there was an accident on that bridge many, many years back where a train derailed and sank into the river. we would find coal in the sand and “graffiti” the concrete columns. the bridge was old and rickety, even back then, and obviously it’s even more so now—some 15, 20 years later. the wooden walkway and the railing are disintegrating, and the walkway is now covered in metal grate that’s bolted to the original wood. some places aren’t as secure and when the grate shifts, it makes the same noise as the big bird cage in jurassic park. there’s a couple of places where the wood is completely or almost completely missing, and some of the planks dip as you walk on them. it was terrifying, and my safety was definitely compromised. then, of course, i had to go to the blue bridge, which was another place i visited almost daily, to get the view from there. the blue bridge (i’m not sure of the actual name; it’s just always been the blue bridge to me) used to be the main way in and out of the holler, and the highway on the other side used to be the main road from one town to another. now the bridge is only accessible to trail riders and people on foot. it makes me miss the days i lived before, and sometimes i wish desperately for a time machine to travel back to those days and relive the days i took for granted. i hate the situation i’m in right now, but it sure does feel good to be home again.
