I'm pretty excited...
Tumblr media
I'm going to be displaying at a makers market in Wichita, KS this upcoming weekend. ❤️
The more shows I do, the better I feel about my artistic endeavors. I know I tend to get wrapped up in the medical issues I've been facing, and I know I've complained alot about my finances due to the medical stuff....but, I do have good things going on. It's alot of hard work to keep pressing on sometimes, but I'm doing exactly that. I just keep on keeping on.
I hope you know what your support and encouragement has meant to me- will continue to mean to me.

I think it's the time of the year where I get better at drawing in some mysterious way, it must also be because I was somehow in my comfort zone, but I'm proud of my work
creo que es la epoca del año donde mejoro una banda y sigo mejorando en el dibujo por algún acto divino, tambien debe ser porque estaba en mi zona de confort, pero estoy orgullosa de mi trabajo asíque no importa

From July 2023:
By the third week of the exhibit’s run, Mark Arts, which hosts frequent large-scale private events inside its gallery and brings in community members who do not typically engage with contemporary visual art, began to receive complaints. Those upset with works in the exhibition — which featured content warnings at the entrance — reportedly yelled at, berated, and threatened art center staff. The sources of upset were artworks that acknowledged, among other things, that lesbian relationships, pregnancy loss, sex work, and sexual assault exist. In early May, the logos of the exhibition’s lead sponsors, the Koch Family Foundation and Cox Communications, disappeared from the show’s title wall. A police officer appeared at the venue during public hours to offer security.

I took a leap of faith...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I packed up my wire wraps and headed to Wichita, Kansas for a 3 day Alternative and Holistic Fair.
My soul is happy. My heart is full.
The way my work was recieved... the pieces that found homes- it was all so magical. Every single person that stopped to visit with me showed true interest in my work. I only had one business card left on my table for the last day, which left people having to take a photo of my card- but... SO MANY PEOPLE took a photo. I have always dreamed of having an event turn out like this, and even though I didn't make a ton of money, I made so many contacts and had so many people compliment my work, it made every single minute worthwhile.
I had vendors ask me to come down for other events- the farmers market where only handmade and grown items are allowed. Its supposedly an incredibly busy market and I hope to go down some weekend this spring.
I am finding my way. I love doing what I do. I just needed to have a little more faith in the fact that other people would too.
