i think it’s hilarious that DC just can’t stop giving Wally power ups
like, he’s been the “fastest man who ever lived” since Flash 1987 #101
and the fact is that he’s still the only one confirmed to be on that “whole new ladder” Max mentioned. Wally is still the only one with the mainline connection to the Speed Force that can’t be cut off. and while everyone has gotten way faster since then, Wally’s still managed to stay definitively in first place. to the point where he’s the “fastest being on the multiverse”
“the fastest being in all the multiverse.” it’s such an insane statement because this is dc explicitly going “NOTHING IS FASTER THAN WALLY!” and then like 4 issues later, this man runs faster than the goddamn Speed Force
and you think that’d be the end of it, right? how could he possibly get faster than being faster than the source of all motion in DC?
then he gets that nitro boost, before giving it to Jai because, really, Wally didn’t need it anyways. it’s literally impossible for him to get faster

I think any criticism you can apply to Jason being a boring main character could just as easily be applied to anyone else in the Seven because the entire Heroes of Olympus series lacks a strong definitive narrative voice in general
#like pulling myself out of the narration and observing it on a meta level I can tell all these characters have individual traits and yet#every situation they’re out in boils down to like. showing ‘bravery’ and that’s pretty much it#and you get seven characters trying to live up to their godly namesakes#when otoh the series is showing how much the gods truly need these mortals#and it just feels like it’s going in redundant circles with its thematic point#if you want to show how the gods need demigods and mortals then…#why did you build an entire narrative focusing on their GODLY powers…#Anyways when reading hoo I get the feeling that every character reads almost exactly the same most of the time#he could have made Jason the only narrator and it would’ve felt much more cohesive#and i think people would complain less about him being ‘boring’#pjo and toa and MCGA all feel much better to read imo#riordanverse#pjo#pjo hoo toa#hoo#heroes of olympus#percy jackson#jason grace#me talking

Ngl I'm a bit confused as to why people think Vox beat Alastor back in the day and/or that their fight was what caused Alastor to go underground for seven years. I didn't get that vibe from their duel in Episode 2 at all.
Alastor seems to treat him as a mild amusement/annoyance more than anything (something supported by comments outside of the show), and this is the man with the most rancid streak of pettiness in the entire show besides Adam. If he'd lost against a rival then he would have taken that shit personally, but their whole dynamic hinges on Alastor not giving Vox the attention/respect he wants and Vox being obsessed in return.
I also think Vox would have brought up the fact that he beat the Radio Demon at the height of his power when he was slandering him if that was what happened, even if it was a dirty fight that, say, had the Vees ganging up on Alastor like some have suggested. That one line is ambiguous and that's probably on purpose, but I doubt Vox came out on top.

Domesticated Post-Tekken 2 Era Kazuya is my favorite to think about because this would be so good for him and everyone else but he would have an absolutely miserable time during it
#like I dont think he would REALLY miss the rich ceo lifestyle bc i dont see it as smth he ASPIRES to but as a means to give himself power#if you (jun) somehow manage to convince him that he does not actually NEED power then i think hes adaptable enough to ajust to a humble life#and the whole being rich thing fed into his worst traits#but I think being close to jun all the time would be torture for him bc he would CONSTANTLY be confronted to his own faulty morality#he cant help feeling above other common people bc he endured much more pain and hardships at 5yo than them in a lifestyle-#but he cannot act on his superiority complex about them bc Its Not The Right Thing To Do#he looks at his newborn son and feel *nothing* before feeling frustration and irritation toward *himself*#bc hes smart enough to know he SHOULD be feeling smth#and if he relunctantly admit this to jun she would tell him that if the best he can do (for now) is to not wish or do any harm on jin-#then it is good enough and he should not beat himself up about it (which he doesnt. but he does)#and even jun. she is another person he could lose and he knows deep down he would be happier without her#but being near her bring back to life smth that died years ago at the bottom of that cliff#and he wont admit it but hes scared to lose it again. even if right now its brings him nothing but discomfort and pain#hes not even sure if he *loves* her. and when he asks her whats in it for her. why she stays with him#(not out of self-consciousness but genuine confusion) she just smiles at him because he IS considering the feelings of someone else#like she is so understanding and he genuinely does try and its a really slow healing process#hes still gonna stay a little bit of a prick smug at times but at least he will be immensely more chill out#and even maybe fall in love with jun *jun* down the line. characters that fall in love with each other years into the relationship👍#and his whole exploration of fatherhood with jin. him vaguely recalling smth nice jinpachi (or god forbid. Just thinking about Aaravos and like. I know we haven't gotten his perspective yet, but honestly, even with what we have so far--
Zubeia said they couldn't take down Aaravos, so they had to plot to trick him by waiting for him to let his guard down. So they waited until he was relaxed, probably with someone he trusted, and then they imprisoned him.
It's fucked up! Of course he's going to come back wanting revenge because he's been in solitary confinement for 300 years with nothing else to think about, and he got fucked over. What made them think they could hold him forever when he's that powerful anyway?
tl;dr I don't think Aaravos should destroy the world and/or take over Xadia but I can certainly see why he'd have the urge

The other set of Vargases came over for a visit and Scriabin picked up Shmee and started talking to Scriabin through him. Very normal, very usual
I downloaded some circle-glasses recolours and hghghh they look so good! Closer every day to his final details! Getting ever closer!
Edgar too! I made him a custom hair with a lighter undercut - I’m mostly happy with it, probably could’ve shifted it a shade closer to his skintone but the texturing was weird no matter what :P And his stripey shirt! I wish Body Shop didn’t have that hands-on-hips pose lol, it looks so much better in-game, but that’s all the better :)
I got some new clothes for Todd as well! As soon as I saw this ‘fit I was like “Oh that’s 100% Todd there he is.” Scriadad hug ♥ So cute

You're all done'' it's just jdsflf Sims 2 my beloved <3 <3#I decided to cheat down the Casils' relationship with Todd before everything else - thus why his father is menacing him for the prank#I've seen Sims with not high enough friendship to not take a water balloon as a fun invitation but not between a parent and child!#It's subtle but the parent being mad and the kid cowering :( It's sadly appropriate for Todd#I stuck the Casils in a box to wait things out and they ended up glitching frozen in bed - they're effectively dead by Motive but can't move#So they can't die /or/ live - feels fitting#If you'd like to recreate CPS taking your child away without straight up torturing them! - Hunger. You just need hunger lol#Alternately you can also have them miss class if you'd prefer to feed them - both will result in being taken away after long enough#If I return to this save it's gonna be confusing since both Todds are identical and have the same names lol#I do have a bunch of new clothes! Second shopping trip :D#There's something oddly fitting for the Vargases to adopt twin/clones lol - fun shenaniganary until the Final Version comes to pass#Although now that I think of it I Could also give them a toddler!Todd hmmmmmm#It's an idea :)

hate 2 say it as someone tht hates time travel plots, but season five is 100% going to include it (or more likely some form of time manipulation) because there's waaaay too many references to time, the passage of it, clocks, confirmation from the duffers that "the upside down is stuck in time" on the day will went missing, will having always described himself as feeling "stuck" or "frozen", and it's the one final thing that the hawkins lab was studying (as mentioned in the stranger things bible) that we've yet to see in the show sooooo i gotta say that math really is mathing 🧐📝
#i don't think will's powers are related to time exactly -- i think it's more in the vein of like what joyce said#that emotions can make time move really fast or really slow and when will got to the upside down he was obviously terrified out of his mind#which goes hand in hand with him shaping the upside down. vecna manifested his powers and so did will bc he was scared n wanted to go home.#i think that's what's more important/fascinating bc it wasn't hawkins when vecna got there#it only became so when will got there and it's STILL stuck in the shape that he made it at the time that he made it#and vecna hasn't ever changed it so clearly that's not a power he possesses#but i wonder what else comes with his powers... and why didn't vecna kill him to absorb them?#why did he preserve him? what was the reason....#has time stopped because will is still feeling the same emotions he felt that day? is the upside down stuck because will's stuck?#did will have powers before and that's why vecna stalked him? or was he supposed to open a gate like in s4 but then will's fear#unearthed his powers and suddenly that changed everything for them all? where much like with max - will fighting back is precisely#what damned him and sealed his fate?#i have so many questions how did he create an entire world what is it about him that vecna needed him alive for TELL ME DUFFERS TELL MEEEEE#anyway. time 2 take a quiz byeeee#mine
