I absolutely think the Flashfam can do the cat thing and like…. lie on top of their loved ones and purr to accelerate their healing btw. We already know that being a speedster’s lightning rod gives longevity, so really healing broken bones under a week with a nice cuddle isn’t a stretch.

One under-explored dynamic is that in addition to his time on the Titans Wally West has also spent considerable time on the Justice League. Which means you just know there have been hijinks relating to Batman and Nightwing.
- Batman trying to be all mysterious and aloof when he first joins, but Wally knows all sorts of gossip already
- Superman only calls him Bruce on the most serious of occasions, but Wally just calls him that always
- He’s gotten stuck running messages when Dick and Bruce aren’t on speaking terms.
- “I’m worried about Bruce Wally, he’s out raiding some street thugs” “I saw him punch Darkseid today he’s fine”
- Batman’s “I work alone” schtick just fails utterly on both sides
- “how are the kids?”

what’s crazy about if Wally went evil is that, if he really wanted to, he could canonically just sever everyone else’s Speed Force connections and they wouldn’t be able to do shit
it was even the plot of the (extremely stupid) Future State Flash comic where Wally got possessed & the Flash Fam couldn’t do anything, because a) Wally is the Speed Force’s favorite and his connection can’t be severed by anyone (even himself, last time he tried getting rid of his own basically everyone else lost theirs for a bit) b) he can literally just stare at you and steal your speed and c) he’s the fastest with the weirdest abilities
Barry’s the second fastest and the only one who MAY be able to catch up and talk some sense into Wally, but:
this was a recurring thing in Rebirth lmao. Barry claiming “yeah, i’ll stop you or chase you if i have to” and Wally just saying “no.”
also a personal favorite unhinged Wally moment:
this isn’t even an empty threat. or, it’s empty as far as Wally caring about Barry to much to do it if there’s literally any other choice, but as far as actual capabilities? it is WELL within Wally’s power to take away Barry’s speed
Future State is a TERRIBLE Wally story, but the part where he literally just severs everyone else’s Speed Force connection and leaves himself as the only one who can use the Speed Force is 100% possible. meanwhile, the only way to get rid of Wally’s powers would be to get rid of the Speed Force itself. the power balance of Speed Force users is unbalanced in Wally’s favor to the most extreme degree possible
i’m pretty sure the only two people with Speed Force connections that could maybe stop, or at least resist being being depowered by, Wally if it came down to it are Jai and Irey, which is a moot point because he wouldn’t go insane as long as they’re around anyways.
addition i thought of while writing out the tags but would be too much to include in the tags:
in the recent series, Jai even described every Speed Force connection as being “focused, intensified, tangled” through Wally. at this point, i’m not even sure the Speed Force could function without Wally’s existence.
Barry may have created the Speed Force, but he loses his connection to it basically every few arcs and Wally is canonically the Speed Force’s special little guy.
The problem with Donna or Dick from the Titans going villain is that they could drag the other into it and the New Teen Titans cast.
If Donna and Dick could convince each other then you have a collection of Justice League members and affiliates about to take over the world.
The first person in line to stop Nightwing is going to be Batman and the Titans dislike him because he was a jerk to Dick when he was a teenager. Donna once told Dick to take a headshot and he did it and thought about it later.
Wally deserves his place in the running because of how much damage both Zooms have done and because the person who would have to stop him (Barry) would be emotionally compromised and Wally tends to be faster then him.
