if the 1k game is still open, I’d like to throw in my two cents!
Ghost (or Ghoap) with Forest and Only (allotted amount of time) to escape before (bad thing happens)
I’m sure there’s plenty of ways to go with that!~ please take your time and remember to drink water today!!!!!
~🦋
1k game here - no more please!
i will drink water just for you babe. also i did ghoap x reader & forest & trying to escape, but ended up not including an allotted amount of time, hope that's alright!
1.5k of ghost watching soap and reader run from him during a zombie apolocypse. except the apolocypse is really more of a background thing and i just throw in mentions of zombies. no smut! (cw for a very brief mention of cannibalism, a sprained then broken ankle, kidnapping, and very light puppyplay at the end)
"You fucking idiot, Johnny," you hiss. "You're gonna get us killed!"
"Me?" He snarls, whirling around to glare at you, hackles raised. "You're fuckin' shoutin' like you want the bastard to find us!"
"Shhh! Could you be any louder?!"
"You goddamned feartie, I hope he kills you first!"
"What the fuck did you just call me?!"
Ghost just barely manages to bite back a laugh at your offended tone, the way you're nearly spitting at Johnny, even at nearly a foot shorter than him. It's like watching a kitten try and fight a dog - cute, but you know the dog could crush the kitten if things went a little too far.
But Simon doesn't mind watching you hiss and spit at Johnny, certainly doesn't see a need to step in any time soon.
He hadn't expected to find much more than a few corpses when the motion sensor around his property triggered an alarm in his base. He figured it was probably a few zombies, easy enough to deal with.
But then he spotted the two of you - a big Scotsman and his far smaller girl, bickering playfully and totally unaware of him in the shadows.
Originally he'd planned to kill the two of you. He's got enough food stored to make it through the winter, so he wouldn't have to bother with freezing your bodies for later. It would be almost comically easy to kill you, take a couple shots from far enough away that you'd never see them coming, drag your bodies off his property, and forget all about you.
But then Johnny - who's name he only knows because you use it frequently - had spotted him. And wasn't that interesting? It's been a long time since someone managed to spot Ghost while he was trailing them.
He'd noticed Johnny's injury soon after that. The two of you had taken off running - he's not sure why, but apparently you haven't had the best experience with strangers - and Johnny had limped beside you, his right ankle clearly giving him trouble.
That was near sunrise. Now, there's an hour or two before the sunsets.
Simon would like to have the two of you in his base before night falls. No point in risking losing one of you to a zombie, not when you're already vulnerable.
He's been herding the two of you in the right direction since about noon. The two of you had picked the right direction to run, almost making it fully out of Ghost's territory before he started redirecting you. It was easy to land a few shots in the dirt in front of you, send the pair of you scrambling in another direction.
You're closer to his base than either of you realize. Ghost's muscles twitch at the realization, the thought of having the two of you locked up fueling his adrenaline.
He already knows you'll both put up a good fight. He can't wait to see which one of you gives in first. He thinks it might be Johnny, can already picture the man being good after seeing how Ghost might treat you.
He tunes back into your argument as the land becomes more familiar, unable to resist smirking as he sees the path that Johnny's about to walk.
"I told you we should've been more on the lookout for other people."
"Don't even start! Ye know as well as me that the bastard came out of nowhere, don't act like we woulda seen him anyway."
"Well, now we'll never know."
"Exactly! So why're you still naggin' me about it?"
"Oh, really, I'm nagging? Really, Johnny?"
"Yes! What, you think saying it twice makes it less true?"
"Oh, fuck you, honestly, I don't even know why I bother helping you."
Johnny laughs, loud and very obviously fake. "You're helpin' me? Oh, now you've really lost it, lass. I've been dragging dead weight since this whole thing started! You know, I'm getting awful tired of-"
Johnny's just a few steps away, make that final little stretch as he talks, and Ghost holds his breath, waits....
Bam. Before he can finish his complaint, he's yanked into the air. His bad ankle is wrapped up tight in rope, a trap tugging that leg into the air and leaving his torso resting on the ground.
He grunts loudly, though not as loudly as Ghost had expected with his injury.
"Holy shit!" You nearly shout, rushing to Johnny's side and abandoning your argument. "Fuck, are you alright?"
The Scot makes a half-wheezed sound of affirmation, eyes squeezed shut.
"Fuck, alright, don't move. I'll get you out, alright?"
Before you can figure out how to make that happen, Simon steps out of the treeline. You catch sight of him immediately, eyes going wide as you clearly fight the urge to run and abandon your partner. You just barely manage to stop yourself, shifting into what looks like it's meant to be a defensive possession.
Ghost tilts his head, smirks behind the mask. "Where do you think you're goin'?"
Johnny's face is twisted in pain, leaving you to respond. "We don't mean any harm, alright? Just... just let me get him down, and we'll go."
Simon slings his rifle off his back, holds it casually in his arms. The way your hands twitch, the panic streaking across Johnny's expression... fuck, it gets him hard.
"Why would I let you do that?"
There's a little furrow between your brows, and Johnny starts to really squirm in is bindings.
"We won't tell anyone about you," you try, inching around Johnny's prone form. "Promise. You let us go, you'll never have to see us again."
That, Simon thinks, is the problem.
He hauls his gun up, takes quick aim, and shoots the rope tying Johnny up before either of you can properly panic. You both still scream when the branch falls, clattering to the ground on top of Johnny.
You're quick to help him up, your argument apparently entirely forgotten as you let him lean most of his body weight on your shoulders.
Ghost slings the gun back over his shoulder, pulling a length of rope out of his pocket. "Both of you, on your knees. Hands behind your heads, eyes closed."
"Oy." Johnny tries to move in front of you, but his now mangled ankle has to be kept completely off the ground for him to even stay standing. "You can't... we'll go, like she said. Promise, mate."
"Knees."
He'd be lying if he said he wasn't disappointed neither of you put up even a bit of fight. But he doesn't complain as he watches you fall to the ground first, letting Johnny use you to help himself.
"Good," Simon hums when you both settle, forms stiff but in the correct position. "Either one of you even twitches, I'll break your legs and leave you for the zombies."
You both shudder at that, and Ghost feels his cock throb in his jeans. He adjusts himself, then steps forward with the rope.
He's quick, not giving either of you time to properly react. You both get a matching loop of rough rope tied around your necks, just tight enough that the skin is already rubbed a bit raw, just from the initial tie.
"Don't move," Simon growls when Johnny jerks away, gripping the man's wrists and tugging them in front of him. "You want to die out here? Watch your little girlfriend get eaten alive?"
He flushes, teeth gritted in what's probably a mix of rage and pain. Sweat drips down his face, streaking through the filth. "She's not my girl."
"Johnny," you hiss, shifting restlessly on your knees. "Seriously?"
"What? Yer not."
"Is that really what you want to be focusing on right now?"
"Oh, would ye rather talk about the goddamn collar and leashes the bastard's given us?"
Ghost gives said leash a rough tug for that, finishing off the loops around Johnny's wrist and moving in front of you. "The bastard's right here."
You sit still, eyes still closed and limbs loose as you let him move your arms around. Johnny's the one who starts squirming, scowl deepening. "Really? Couldnae tell."
"Lotta sass from a man wearing a leash." Ghost yanks it again, nearly sending Johnny sprawling to the ground. He just manages to catch himself on his bound hands, and Simon finishes off yours.
He steps back, holding the length of rope stretching from your necks in one hand. He tugs solidly, smirks when you both stand as quickly as you can. "Up, now. Time to go home."
He doesn't spare either of you a glance, turning around and starting the rest of the journey home. He shows a bit of kindness, keep his pace slow since he can hear the way Johnny's breathing grows more ragged, hear his limp against the dead leaves.
Neither of you tug or try to run away, and Ghost can't help but smile at the obedience. He mentally crosses leash training off his to-do list. He had been looking forward to that one, but he's sure there'll be plenty of other interesting experiences with the two of you.
He's never trained two pets at once. He can't wait to see how it goes.

A little venting post about the changes made to the show.
Sometimes I miss the era where book adaptations were true to their source material. Lord of the rings, Harry Potter, pride and prejudice, Twilight, The Hunger Games. Books with adaptations that literally had the power to change whole generations. Create such a cultural impact that we'll still be defining facets of our personalities by their influence for years to come.
And I think that those books had so much success as adaptations because the people who made them understood that watching the movie had to be an interactive experience between a person and their book. Not just their screen. People would finish watching the movie, go home, read the book and feel connected to a story where they knew the ending. So giddy and excited to know something they thought other movie goers didn't know. This made the experience exciting! It made it interactive enough to cause an impact.
I recently watched Lord of the Rings (yes the whole 24 hrs of it) and I realized how much I miss that excitement. That same warm blanket of knowing the ending that I experienced when I watched The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.
Bridgerton showrunners are so obsessed with delivering something with a 'plot twist' or 'different from the books' that they completely miss the point of how big franchises managed to make their adaptations impactful. So focused on curating the source material to make it more 'original' and new. So focused on driving up buzzfeed articles that read ' 100 ways Bridgerton season 2 was different from the books' that they alienate the interactive experience that exists in a viewer who enjoys reading.
Call me a book purist or maybe I felt sad today because I saw yet another article titled ' 10 reasons why Eloise storyline shouldn't follow the books' but it sucks to have creators spit on the books you love. It sucks to watch an adaptation that looks like fanfiction because it's all the media is currently offering. And you just wanted to see Kate bite Anthony's ankle and laugh. But you have to put up with all the changes of season 2 because complaining is met with an ' oh we wanted to do something different from the book, we wanted to surprise viewers'
Excuse me showrunners, I liked that book, what's wrong with liking that book? What was so offensive about it you had to turn it into something so far away from the source material the Author herself had to come out and say ' the books are the books and the show is the show' basically drawing a line between her creation and the show she authorized to adapt said work.
Netflix If the books I loved were so bad you felt they needed to be changed so much for an adaptation, then why adapt them at all? Why not find some kind nice very much in need of their big break author who has written a story that looks like the narrative you've got in mind.
As a reader I loved all the storylines as they stood. To me it would have been a giddy and exiting experience to be able to follow the show along with the source material. And I'm so sick and tired of show viewers and basically all the sensationalist media like buzzfeed and screenrant implying and outright saying that there is something wrong... with people like me. Who simply liked the books as they were. Because that's how they treat us, and that's what they think and it makes me sad.
And as I wait for season 3 I I sit and wait to see how many ' 100 ways the show is better than Romancing Mr Bridgerton because of how much the showrunners decided to change ' articles start poping up on my feed as soon as it's released. Because it will happen and as a reader you feel so powerless and confused, because all the media kees saying is that you're not allowed to feel angry, because even getting an adaptation is supposed to be a good thing, so don't start being a Debbie downer about the changes made for the screen. The book you loved was outdated anyway, the book you loved was boring anyway, the book you loved needed more excitement anyway.... And the message you keep getting is that The things you loved needed to stop looking like the things you loved, to be worthy of the masses attention
So what does that say about you?
Tomorrow, maybe I'll be back to being my usual positive self. Tomorrow I'll look at the bright side and feel ever so grateful that Julia Quinn's work is on screen. But for today, just for today. I needed to get that off my chest.

Many New Beginnings
I hardly feel I deserve so many. Multiple times in my life have I made some truly, awful, mistakes. In the past I always found myself trailing after Sherlock, and being fulfilled in ways I never thought would be possible again after Afghanistan. The very first time I was caught up in the shadow that was Sherlock, I ended up following after him - after he continuously abandoned me! I might add - only to save his arse.
So, for a long time, our relationship was as follows; He might give me a vague hint on where he would dash off to next, I'd scurry to catch up, only to find if he would have waited for me or communicate with me, the situation would have went far smoother!
I'm not sure when it started changing, or originally. If I had to pin point, it might have been around the time we first got up close and personal with a Mr. Jim Moriarty.
Sherlock must have realized, the value in communication. Something that, on surface level we managed well. On a deeper level, you've all seen us struggle with ourselves emotionally. We only grew closer, until-
The fall, everyone loves to dub it.
I had fallen into such devastation by this betrayal of trust and communication, the only thing I felt I could once trust in Sherlock, I simply forgot that this man was suffering the same as I was. That he was completely alone for those two years as well.
Only, I wasn't truly alone. I met Mary, and I would not be here today without her. I know that. So would it be a crime when I say to keep it polite about her? I loved her and she was my life. Just as much as Sherlock is my life.
Sherlock forced me to accept his apology that day in the train, but it was as genuine as I can be. This anger's always been so hard to ignore, it would come out at Mary, and it's only grown over time. Sherlock would always try to communicate, he always spoke to me. Even if it was something so unbelievable, I trusted him. For awhile, he understood. He couldn't run off without me.
This was years ago still. I know it all started declining after... Well, Culverton Smith. I wonder if I properly wrote up that case, there was so much we would love to have forgotten. Sherlock and I.
I almost lost him, and not only by the hand of Mr. Smith.
Our relationship since, has been rocky at best. I never gave up, and in his own ways neither did he. Somewhere, we fell back into this dynamic. He runs off without me, and I let him. Neither of us would have been able to tell you who started it, but relationships are 50/50, you know.
When I finally had, so hesitatingly, just gotten this relationship? I wasn't prepared, but I'd have been out of my mind to not accept what we'd always worked on wanting.
Only to see him run off with Mr. Jim Moriarty, the man who single handedly started our path of love and destruction. The fall is a sore subject, a raw wound barely treated. I was so overwhelmed with - I wasn't there to protect him! - danger, betrayal, mistrust, lack of communication, all over again!
I said and did things that are unacceptable, and I'll be remorseful for them for as long as I live. This anger, I can't guarantee I'll get rid of it completely, and I've found I was in need of professional help in this regard. It may still come out, but I am working on this. We are working on this. I am working on making sure this will not be a repeated event; but this includes working on the communication between Sherlock and I again.
I stepped back to work on this, on myself, but now I am willing to open up and look back on this space. Where we can go forward, together, in this new time. I hope that, while it's not been a long amount of time, but two months away from this all has really helped thus far. I'm happy to be back here with you, and to grow by Sherlock's side once more.

Character Sheet Time!!
Starting off first: Mark “Robin” Hood!
@crazy-obsessed-enby @neons-trash-blog
- Bounty hunter since birth, raised and trained to do whatever it means necessary to do your job and earn that money. Which includes never trusting no one, never have a partner in crime, never get attached to anyone, to never hold remorse for the target, and to always die with honor.
- One day after a hunt, Mark was stopped by The Wizard, the most powerful being in the enchanted world. He offered a large sum of money to capture the offspring of a king and queen. This apparent Royal blood is very important and must be brought to the Wizard alive.
- He has less than good thoughts and opinions with royals, so he immediately took the job and believed it’s one of those “Royal who this fool fell in love with, and Prince Charming will save the day,” tropes. So he begrudgingly accepted, to get this hunt over with.
- He raided when given his chance, i.e; the attack of your kingdom being overrun with other bounty hunters, and cornered you and your parents. He shot your father in the arm, and pointing his bow towards your mother. You got in the way between them and dared to let him let go of his arrow.
- Mark said the wizard explained that you needed to be alive, and nothing about being injured. But that was until your father managed to speak up and beg to spare your life, and to take you to an ally kingdom far away to safety. Mark was annoyed until your mother offered three times the price the wizard offered if he does.
- Of course, Mark was taught that any bounty with a higher price than the original can be bought, so he agreed to the most paid job, saluted to the king and queen and grabbed you to get away from the now fallen kingdom, ignoring the struggle you gave.
- He thought you were those snobby and bratty royals, so he treated you as such. He technically did what your parents told him: “Keep them alive”, but they didn’t say to pamper you. You were fine with that apparently, which he assumed that you were probably sulking that you had no royal life anymore.
- He was fine if you were like that. He did forcefully took you away from your parents, so maybe you’d try to do something to him. Maybe run away or attack when when he has his back turn, he wouldn’t expect any less. He’s seen, captured, and took down a lot of royals with a god complex, you’ll probably won’t be any different.
- That was until you saved him and Pan from Hook, who tried to take his bounty for himself. He actually thought you only saved him because you were going to backstab him later (my man got trust issues, leave him alone). He kept an eye on you, making sure you won’t have any upper hands, he even considered of tying your hands together like a raccoon.
- But the more you help him, by either wrapping bandages around his wounds, or cook dinner, or save him from a strong current river, he realized that you’re doing this with no strings attached. So one night, he demanded on why you were so nice despite the fact he treated you like cargo. And what you said left him speechless.
- “We’re stuck together for a while, we might as well be friends,”
- After that, he thought about his morals, the way he thinks and his history of what he considered “associates”. He can’t just throw away everything’s he’s known for some… cargo! That’s a shame upon his bloodline! Yet… there were people like you in his apparent like that changed that.
- Somehow… he feels like he knows you more than he thinks. Maybe it’s just the way he started to warm up to you, but he just feels like, somehow, the two of you had been friends before… but that’s stupid, right? He’d never met you before, so why would he think that??
- But that’s besides the point, he sees you as a friend now, and as his first real friend, he’ll do what he was promised and transport you to the kingdom, safely this time. He’ll make up for what he has done for you, and he’ll finally be able to earn your forgiveness.
- Even if he has to lay down his own life for his friend.

[Soulmate Demons AU old arts / part 1]
And finally, the prelude is finished and we go to the main thing. ..Hmm .. although all the most of basic things I've already told before?.. Well, individual arts still have their own stories.. I also have some RPs archieved, which can be rewritten as a stories too.. I still thinking about it. I already had experience in writing, but I wasn't sure where it could be posted.. O-okay, I got carried away..
Tumblr media
This is based on one of the outfits that my former friend chose for Soul. Since he made his “art” in Gacha Life, he often chose different clothes every time. ..To be honest, it drove me crazy, because in the end I didn't know which outfit to rely on when I drew them and what is now the canon in his version of Soul (Tamashi), almost every time the details were different.. In fact, I decided to draw Soul in this outfit because he liked this? .. At least it seemed to me. It was.. interesting experience.
Tumblr media
It was a moment when I realized that I would like to come up with an appearance for Corrupt that would compared to Soul's, but so far just horns and tail, ignoring the wings that a former friend added to their appearance. Of course, a more edgy style, unlike Soul's relatively smooth ones. This is where AU start to exist, but without official name yet. I can’t remember where the idea for a scarf and gloves came to me.. It is unlikely that it came from the RPs.. Most likely I just wanted to add more individuality, adding details than to make completely different clothes (already had enough Tamashi's clothes that had more and more details every time..)
Tumblr media
It was my aswer to his gacha recreation of [skittletoc] art in which Soul shows Corrupt middle finger with "F*ck you", but in his interpretation it was "This is why what am I saying~ Fuck you Darling~" It was kinda out of nowhere, but I can see that it's just random thing for lolz, but.. I’ll be honest, Corrupt doesn’t feel funny about that. Therefore, there were two reactions. The one he showed..
Tumblr media Tumblr media
..and the true one.
Tumblr media
[Really, despite his origin, my version of Corrupt came out quite sensitive and emotional when it comes to those to whom he trusts, craving for mutuality in his feelings. So it's not surprising that this was his original reaction to such an action..]
Tumblr media
It was a critical moment. Enough events happened that dismoraled Corrupt so much that even I had to violate the rules of a spatial continuum to simply bring him back to his senses. In theory, this is Soul's work .. .. sigh .. I don't know. It is difficult, I retell the events that took place due to the actions mostly of the person and not the character whom he roleplayed, is this even correct? In other hand.. This is the past that already made. I can't rewrite it, it all left a mark on us, remained in the form of arts and stories. In general, AU about these two together, having special bond, while a friend with whom we created it constantly makes some kind of nonsense aimost all the time. As, for example, through role-playing actions Soul suddenly acts around Corrupt as if the latter is something despised, although they seem to have romance already, as he said? This really created a bunch of misunderstandings and resentments. It can be imagined that at first Soul treated Corrupt with hostility and don't likes him, for a reason, but I can’t imagine him being so vile as to make him to believe that there is something between them, and then brutally reject, playing with feelings. No it's not like him at all.. [I think I still personally cannot get rid of resentment because of many things that have happened. Remembering them, I go through it again. ..I hope that this will help me bury some bad memories, and then I can create new, and better one for this AU. Albeit alone..]
I can continue here.. but probably I'll divide it into a few more posts.. ..because I'm too generous with details and comments.. ..It can take me away into more of my memories and experiences, and there is a particularly cruel moment ahead that I cannot forget. We haven't reached that yet, but I don't think that I can say only a few words about it. Like now.
So it's better to go through it measuredly.. It resonates with my emotions too much.

Episode 5: Pass Through Fire
Is it hot in here? It seems hot in this theatre. Maybe their air conditioning's on the fritz. Better get yourself a drink, because it seems like the temperature's going up and staying up.
The Good.
Janet Varney. Of course they got Korra to voice Keyleth's mom. Of course they did. This whole opening sequence screams Avatar, and I'm here for it. And it's nice to see such tenderness between Keyleth and her mom, given their separation. Also, just seeing Good Parents in TLOVM is a joy, given the majority of the group comes from less-than-ideal families or home situations.
Raven Queen's not the most tactful conversationalist, is she? I like that this is something that just won't let Vax go until he deals with it; it might be easy for him and the audience to think it'll go away without those little flashes. Similarly, it fits that he cannot get the armor off; there's no escaping it or what it represents.
Yay, Vex and Scanlan banter. I love what the runes say if you look close enough. Nice nod to Viridian, too. I'm happy to see more between these two in particular. Laura has talked about how they both put up fronts and that this was something Vex recognized in Scanlan and related to. They have their own interesting dynamic it's good to see more of.
I like that the show portrays Keyleth and Vax's concerns as equally valid. They are trying to fight something that could affect everyone in Tal'Dorei and perhaps even the world, but Vox Machina had previously backed each other up in their personal quests.
Very cool getting to see Keyleth just beat on something. Her magic is always a treat for the oculars, but there's something fun about watching her hit a monster in the face.
Yes...! Flashback to Allura and Kima's adventuring days!! I would watch an episode focusing on that group. It's also nice to see it so quickly and casually established that the two are a couple. In the original, they had been together before the stream, then split off to do their own things. Matt left it up in the air whether they would get back together or not. They eventually did, but that left us with hours and hours of ambiguity until it became clear that Allura and Kima were very much in love.
Hey, Robbie! Robbie Daymond was a player on Exandria Unlimited and a guest player for Campaign 3 of Critical Role. He's fabulous, and I didn't even realize that was him playing Cerkonos.
Keyleth's whole transformation scene is beautiful and cathartic. She spends so much time unsure of herself or struggling to control her abilities, but then she gets that extra bit of confidence to let loose, and it's awe-inspiring. Her surrendering to the fire has a certain painful, uncertain beauty. You don't know if she'll be able to do whatever she needs to without hurting or destroying herself.
Neal's score compliments the moment perfectly; it's a musical epiphany spliced with the triumph of a battle won. There isn't anything more I can say about the music without repeating myself; it's always amazing.
Keyleth gets a little costume upgrade, yay! I like that the characters' looks change to represent their development and growing power. We saw something similar with the character art starting in C2, and it was always fun to see the new looks.
The Bad. (Or at least, not great.)
Grog and Craven Edge
So here's the thing about the original shitting scene. And yes, that is a sentence I just typed.
Originally the second Sphinx was not on the same continent as Vasselheim, and the crew went back to Tal'dorei to meet with Osysa's mate, to get the Vestige and some other treasures Identified, and to rest for a bit. Whitestone, in particular, was where the scene with Grog and Scanlan happened. Even if you didn't see the original, you might be able to guess it was transplanted from a more populated setting because Grog asks Scanlan for a song so that no one else will hear.
When they're in the woods. Away from the group and far away from any other people.
Grog's dumb, but he's not that kind of dumb.
It's not a huge deal, but it's one more instance on a growing list of the writing CRew's inconsistencies.
To fix it, I'd change the line to something different (Grog asking for mood music instead, perhaps) or, hell, have it chronologically take place in Whitestone when they first escaped the Conclave. Just have Grog flashback to it in this episode. You'd have to change some things in a few episodes, though. Have Grog fight some residual undead or monsters hanging around the city so he can see what the sword is capable of first, for instance. But you could make it work.
Nitpicks:
I need more damn banter.
Not just because we had more banter in the original stream and not just because it would be a great way to organically world-build and establish and develop these characters and their relationships...
But because none of these people have books, iPhones, or music to listen to while they travel, presumably for hours if not days. All they can do is talk. So it makes sense that they would.
There's another reason, but I'll get into that next episode.
~ * ~
Again, I wished they'd added some visual effect to indicate Allura was at least trying to cast a spell when those rocks fell. If you know the original story, you know she lives, and if you know D&D wizards, you know they have tricks for that kind of thing, but if you're new, it can look cheap that they got out without any previous indication that they had.
Aramenté
So...to pass through the fire.
For various reasons, the way this moment was presented in the Campaign can't happen here. And even if there was no getting around that, it breaks my heart that the way it went down, so much of the original meaning of this phrase was lost.
The long and short of it was that it was part of a pep-talk for Keyleth that was a metaphor for enduring adversity. And it's such a disservice to Kiki's anxiety and her struggles with her confidence to just have her suddenly understand the concept out of nowhere when we have everything we need to give it more weight.
We have the whole prior season.
Instead of Keyleth just suddenly realizing what she needs to do, what she's capable of doing, have her flashback to the Blue Dragon she helped kill. The badass magic she used on the road to Whitestone that saved Vox Machina's lives while they were chasing after Scanlan. When she healed Cassandra. Her ice magic against the zombie hoard. When she killed Sylas. Hell, you could throw in her escaping the Conclave, which was her almost literally passing through fire.
Then hit us with her mom's voice. Because then both she and the audience can connect her mother's phrase with all she's endured up to this point. Hammer home what it means.
And then it's clear that Keyleth's already done what Air Ashari are made to do. So she can do it now.
Pyrah And Future Conflicts
Keyleth is told that Thordak had help getting out of the Fire Elemental plane, which led to the death and destruction that's come to Pyrah. In the stream, the confrontation between Keyleth and the being that provided that help was electric, charged with her anger and outrage in a moment where all her lack of surety fell away and was the foundation for some incredible moments later. There could still be more coming to set up for it....but as it stands, I can't see this episode providing the same heft that its stream counterpart did.
Mainly because, in the stream, we got to visit Pyrah before the attack. We saw it thriving, calm and peaceful. After the Chroma Conclave's initial attack, Allura showed Vox Machina the devastation the dragons had wrought outside Emon. Pyrah had become the sight of a smoking crater and mounds of dead. It left Keyleth and Marisha both in tears.
We're not getting the same impact here, but maybe we could've gotten closer to it by having Keyleth's flashback with her mom occur in Pyrah. We could see how the city was meant to be, and then we could've further empathized with Keyleth when she gets there and sees how devastated it is.
Heading into the next show, we've got one hell of a performance coming up. Don't miss it!

What colour are the sheets on your bed? Black.
Have you ever had a storage locker? If so, what is/was stored in it? I've never had a locker other than the one I had in high school, which had nothing but textbooks in it.
Do you have a gas, electric or induction cooktop? That would be gas.
Are you interested in plants? Not in the least. Sorry Namjoon...
How far away is the nearest capital city? Manila is a little over 20 kilometers away.
What was the last movie trailer you watched? I honestly wouldn't be able to tell you because I never watch those. The closest thing is probably catching a few seconds of DP's trailer on Netflix, the one that automatically plays when you hover over the choice, but I never finished it as I had gone straight to Episode 1 lol.
What's your favourite meal of the day? Dinner; it's the only one I regularly have.
Do you know your neighbours? Hardly. They keep to themselves and so do we.
Tell me all your plans for the next week or so. Just the usual chaos at work. Thursday I have a client lunch I need to join even though it's suffocating to think about, but apart from that my week is free for making plans. Oh I do plan on watching the rest of Prison Playbook which I started this afternoon but holy shit is each episode a lifetime and a half long.
What can you hear and smell right now? SOOOOOO my sister recently got me into the creamy keyboard part of the internet, so I have an hour-long keyboard ASMR thing playing right now lol. I have that playing simultaneously with a SE SO NEON playlist and surprisingly they work well together! I can also hear my aircon whirring.
I can faintly make out the aroma from my coffee but that's it as far as smelling things.
Are you expecting anything in the mail? My Jack in the Box should be arriving any time in the next few weeks.
Do you hate cars with loud exhausts? Yes.
How many roommates have you had? I've never had a roommate.
Have you ever broken any bones in your feet or hands? No broken bones but I have sprained my left ankle twice. Idk why that one area on my foot is so vulnerable hahah.
Do you keep your house tidy or is it always pretty cluttered? It only gets cluttered during the day when I need to routinely whip out a variety of items for work (boxes, paper bags, envelopes, etc) but I make sure that shit is clean and out of sight by the end of the day because I don't want to be surrounded with remnants of my job when I'm supposed to be relaxing.
What's the altitude of your town or city? Idk and I can't be bothered to look it up.
Do you like movies with vampires in them? No. Twilight is the sole exception but liking the saga doesn't mean I'm into vampire movies as a whole.
Have you ever bought groceries online? For myself, yeah. There was a point during the pandemic when I tried to convince my parents to try getting our groceries online, but they weren't so much a fan of the ridiculous delivery fees which is super understandable.
If you have a pet, what is its favourite treat? If you don't have a pet, what's one of your favourite treats? :) They love chicken bits and Cooper in particular already recognizes the word 'chicken' and is ready to do tricks the moment I say it out loud lol.
Do you own any items of clothing that were originally borrowed from someone else? Yes. I have a pair of yellow pants that Rita lent me, but I wasn't ever able to return it because the pandemic happened.
What was the last thing you drank other than water, and was it yummy? Coffee. Yes it's good :)
How do you usually style your hair? A half-pony is the typical way to go for me, but sometimes I'll go for a low pony.
What's your favourite kind of soup to make? I don't make soup, but my favorite is miso.
Do you get distracted easily when you read? It can happen. I'm for the most part a quick reader, but I will occasionally zone out and keep going over the same sentence without even realizing I've been repeating the same words for 5 minutes.
What kind of questions do you generally dislike when it comes to Bzoink surveys? I can't stress enough how much I dislike philosophical and hypothetical-situation questions. Also questions about Target and Walmart and states and seasons.
What will you do after you finish this survey? I want to take another one but we'll see how that fares. I have to stay up until 4 because I need to catch Jungkook at the Global Citizen Festival :((
If you play The Sims, which of all the games is your favourite iteration? I never was a regular player of The Sims.
Do you remember the first house you lived in? Not at all. My parents moved out of it when I was only a few months old.
When was the last time you threw up, and do you know why? Thursday. I had HORRIBLE motion sickness the entire ride home.
Who was the last person you said "I love you" to? Not sure, I think it may have been Andi.

As the Stars Burn On Chapter 13
Ao3. Masterlist.
The Inexplicable Prisoner of G-8
Nami rushed through the hallway, ducking the various gunshots, grenades, and one remarkable boomerang that chased her out. Her and Chopper had settled the last surgeries, just as a wild explosion sounded somewhere deep into the base. What peace they’d achieved undercover had been thoroughly ruined as an entire squadron had stormed the infirmary, and they’d had little choice but to begin running. The doctor they’d befriended--a sweet, strange woman afraid of blood--had told them the Merry was at dock 88. So long as they got there alive, Nami was sure she could sail them out of this place. Probably. Assuming Lucy had done her job and gotten her hands on the local intel.
A kunai sliced neatly into the wall by her head, a slim line of blood welling above her eye.
If they got to the Merry.
Who the hell had broken all of their covers by blowing something up?!
Right. Stupid question.
A little while earlier
Laxus couldn’t believe he was saying it--thinking it, whatever--but he missed Bix. Missed his stupid tongue, and his stupid jokes, and his stupid, stupid, ability to look through the eyes of his dolls and therefore map out basically anything ever without a single problem.
If they found a way back to Earthland, Laxus would never, ever, tell anyone that he’d gotten lost in the marine base. On second thought, he wasn’t going to tell his crew either. Knowing them, they’d start treating him like Zoro. Or worse, Zoro would offer him directions.
Thus far, Laxus had been following his nose hunting for anyone on the crew. He’d heard Zoro got captured, and another kerfuffle some few minutes earlier, but actually tracking anyone down had proven significantly more difficult than expected. The base was far larger than it initially appeared, a barrow of tunnels and deadends with poor ventilation and too many holes in the wall. It made it near impossible to follow a single scent, as even the familiar ones from his crew double-backed and looped over each other until he had traversed what felt like the entire island twice and hadn’t seen anyone.
His ears twitched with the stomping of incoming feet. With a low groan, he turned down another hall, only to realize too late that it turned again back into the original path. An entire squadron of marines were storming down the hall and in the front of the group were two very familiar faces.
“Oh, hey Laxus!” Luffy called with a laugh. Besides him, Sanji cursed up a storm in an unfamiliar language, catching an arm around Laxus and pulling him away with him. As easy as that, he was caught up in the chaos.
At least he’d found someone.
Jonathan idly moved a rook into the grouping with a pawn and the white king. Straw Hat, Thunder God, and the cook, Sanji, were all together. His men hadn’t managed to catch them--unsurprisingly, considering the group--but the Straw Hats also hadn’t caused any undue damage in their swift run through the halls. How they’d disappeared into thin air was curious, but ultimately unimportant.
“We landed here accidentally,” Straw Hat had said. “We’ll leave when we want to.”
If he was telling the truth--and Jonathan suspected he was--then he at least didn’t have to worry about a mole having leaked the information about the prisoner. With the Oni Hunter, the blonde woman, the long nose, and the undercover inspector caught, that was all seven Straw Hats accounted for. Four down, three still to go.
The Den Den on his desk rang. He pursed his lips at the interruption, skeptical that anyone had managed to catch the remaining three pirates, but answered nonetheless. LC Drake came through, voice lowered but deeply serious.
“Sir. My men have encountered two suspicious figures acting as a doctor and nurse in the infirmary. Permission to move in?”
Two other figures? Jonathan frowned. He’d been operating under the assumption that the crew had only seven figures, based on what intel came from the Alabasta incident combined with the cups left out. He supposed it wasn’t impossible that they’d picked up new crewmembers that hadn’t been inside with the others.
He’d overlooked the possibility. Damn.
“Sir?”
“Post a squadron to guard the entrance,” he finally decided. “But don’t move in yet. Not until we have the others in our grasp.”
“Very well, Commander.”
“As for the remaining three…” Jonathan contemplated his chess set, running through plays in his head, wondering at the best way to draw them out. Straw Hat had seemed very set that he wouldn’t leave any of his crewmates behind. With those in the infirmary still ‘undercover’, they likely wouldn’t worry about them just yet. “They’ll likely be heading for their captured crewmates. Perhaps we should ease their way.”
Lucy tugged at the cuffs keeping her arms behind her back. Her whip had been taken, one of the marines--there were half a dozen of them, she’d feel flattered if she wasn’t so annoyed--carrying it on the edge of the group. Her Keys were safely tucked away, and so far her plan was going wonderfully. Which of course meant she was in a dank, dark series of halls, coming up on a set of four cells. Her whip got thrown into one holding…swords? They were keeping Zoro’s swords in a jail cell? Surely that wasn’t up to code; and where did the fourth come from?
Across from the sword cell, Zoro, Usopp, and the inspector Robin was impersonating were all chained down, the last unconscious.
“Lucy!” Usopp gasped. “Are you okay?”
“A few bruises, but nothing we won’t repay back,” she responded sweetly. Behind her, the man gripping her arm flinched. She resisted the urge to turn and knee his balls. Half their crew was still free, so even if she fucked up the rescue, someone else would come get them. It was doing wonders for her blood pressure. “How are you guys?”
“Bored,” Zoro drawled.
“Condoriano hurt his head,” Usopp said, unsubtly jerking his chin towards the inspector.
“Is it serious?” she asked, trying hard to sound truly concerned.
“Enough,” the man behind her ordered. He was the LC, if she remembered the files correctly. Drake. Instead of putting her in the same cell as the boys, though, he pushed her to the next one down the line. She saw that the cell across had something chained to the floor, but she didn’t have time to examine it further. She was thrown to the ground roughly at the entrance, the door slamming shut swiftly. Strangely, the marines cleared out, disappearing down the hallway. She couldn’t make out what they did, but she figured that they were setting up a watch or ambush. It’s what she would do in their place.
“You okay?” Zoro called.
“Fine.”
Lucy looked around, finding the back half of the cell darkened with shadows, the light of the lanterns not quite reaching it. She rolled her shoulders, but there was absolutely no way she could reach her Keys like this. So much for that plan.
In the dark, chains rattled, something shifting against the dirt floor. She wasn’t the only prisoner there.
“Hello?” she called hesitantly. She blinked a few times, trying to adjust to the lighting. She thought she was starting to make out the vague outline of someone. “I don’t suppose you have a free hand? My nose is starting to itch.”
A breath caught and she started shuffling closer. She didn’t know who it was, but she really needed someone to reach her Keys, so she’d take the risk. “Holyshit,” the stranger murmured, voice low and rough, strangely familiar in a way she couldn’t quite place. “Bunny?”
Lucy paused, eyes widening. Only one person had ever called her that. “Gajeel?!”
Laxus pressed close behind Luffy, Sanji behind him. The bridge to the prison was oddly open, a noted difference from everything else in the base. It absolutely reeked of a trap, but he could do little about it. The best bet would be to send one of them in to spring the trap and the rest to come in afterward--of course, that would mean Luffy actually following a plan that involved more than one step.
Footsteps caught his ear, and he dragged Luffy to a stop, pressing them all up against one of the metal beams of the bridge. Above them, a patrol circled past.
“Did you see the blond chick?” one asked. He froze, heart in his throat. Lucy, of all of them, he was sure wouldn’t get caught. She was too smart by half.
“Talk about smokin’,” another agreed. “How do you think a woman like that got caught up with pirates?”
A hand clamped down on his shoulder, digging into his collarbone. Laxus snapped his head towards Luffy, teeth bared in a growl. Lightning sparked across his shoulders.
His captain didn’t flinch. “We’ll get them out,” Luffy assured. “Let’s keep moving.”
It took a few seconds for him to get his emotions under control, but eventually, he gave a tight nod and led the way.
When this was over, he would double her training.
Someone knocked at Jonathan’s door, and with a sigh, he called them in.
An ensign gave a sharp salute. “Sir. Major Inspector Shephard is here to see you.”
Ah, finally. He was wondering where the inspector had gotten off to in the chaos of the base. Jonathan knew that HQ was just looking for ways to shut him down and an invasion from a rookie pirate crew while they were holding a top-secret prisoner would be just the thing they needed.
“Send them in,” he ordered, standing to greet the inspector. The ensign left, letting in a tall, dark-haired woman before closing the door.
“Vice Admiral Jonathan. Quite a mess you seem to have on your hands.”
Black hair. Blue eyes. Twenty years older than her photo but no doubt about it; she’d been on the short list of Paradise criminals he had pulled the bounties for. Maybe the Straw Hats were here for the prisoner after all.
He got up and poured two glasses of scotch, offering her one. She took it, sipping only after he’d already taken a drink. “I have to agree,” Jonathan finally said. “But then again, it is your crew’s fault…Nico Robin.”
“What are you doing here?” Lucy demanded, moving closer. His arms and feet were chained so he had almost no range of movement, his hair was gross and matted, and he clearly hadn't taken a bath in forever, but there was no doubt about it. Red slitted eyes, metal piercings, and the wildest black hair she had ever seen. Gajeel Redfox was a prisoner of G-8. “How are you here? What about the rest of the guild?”
“Shesh, one question at a time, Bunny Girl.” He smirked, but she could tell, even in the dark, that he was scanning her over, eyes catching on each of her new scars. “Master sent me to find you when you didn’t make it back in time for the S-Class announcements. Took me a couple weeks, but I tracked you to that runic site with Lily.”
“Let me guess,” Lucy drawled. “You set it off.”
He didn’t respond, only grumbled and looked away as best he could. She didn’t even care about his taciturn or the fact that it was Gajeel here instead of one of her team, or that he was just as stuck here as her and Laxus. There was a black Fairy Tail mark on his shoulder and after nine long months of only seeing her own, she felt like she could float.
“I have so much to tell you,” she said, keeping her voice down in case the marines were closer than she thought. “Laxus and I-”
“Laxus? He’s with you?”
“Yeah, I met up with him in Crocus, so he was with me when I found the ritual site. We've joined up with the Straw Hat Pirates; we have a few leads on how to get home, but it’s a little complicated.”
“I heard about his bounty,” Gajeel responded, rattling his chains as he shifted to get more comfortable. “That’s why Lily and I let ourselves get captured finally; we thought it might get us closer to him.” He grinned, sharply pointed canines nearly glinting in the dark. “Glad to know I killed two birds with one stone.”
“Where’s Lily?”
Gajeel jerked his head up, and Lucy followed his eyes to the cell across from them and the figure chained down. She still couldn’t make out the details of him, but she knew how enhanced dragon senses were; if Gajeel said that was Pantherlily, then it was.
“Pity you got captured,” he muttered.
“Oh, please,” she teased. “You clearly don’t know me well yet.” Lucy’s smile fell as she realized one tiny little flaw in her plan. She still couldn’t reach her Keys. “So, ah, weird question. Can you eat my cuffs off?”
Gajeel choked on his next breath, eyes widening. “W-what?”
“Cuffs. On my hands. I can’t reach my Keys with them on.”
“Where are your Keys?” he asked. “I’ll just grab those.”
“Absolutely not!” Her whole face went red at the very thought. “Where do you think I hid them?!”
He blinked, then glanced down towards her chest before banging his head back. “Goddamn, Bunny. You’re going to be the death of me.”
“Well, excuse me for assuming they’d cuff my hands in front of my body.” Face still red, she wobbled to her feet and turned around so her hands were in front of Gajeel’s face. He made a little groaning sound, probably insulting her, but did as she asked.
Lucy tried very, very hard not to think about the distance between her ass--and thus the short skirt she was wearing--and Gajeel’s mouth.
Robin pulled the glass away, staring at it suspiciously.
“It’s not drugged,” Jonathan assured her. He walked back to his desk and settled into his seat, offering the chair across for her. “To be honest, I had no idea you were a Straw Hat.”
“I’d say the marines know very little about the Straw Hats,” she responded coolly. Her eyes glanced from the open balcony behind him, to the door on the other side of the room. Jonathan got more comfortable in his seat.
“You can run if you’d like,” he offered. “I mean, I’ll have to call a squadron to apprehend you, but I probably won’t get involved unless you start killing needlessly.”
“You expect me to believe that?”
“I expect you to be a very intelligent young woman with a knack for surviving,” he responded honestly. Robin hadn’t run yet, and she hadn’t tried to kill him either. Both of these things went against the file he’d read, but perhaps she simply knew the strength difference between the two of them. Or perhaps there was more to her than HQ would have him believe.
Jonathan hated not having answers.
“What happens if I don’t run?” she asked, gently placing the drink back down. “You have much of my crew captured already.”
“And I hope to have the rest captured soon.” Her eyes narrowed, which Jonathan filed away. True concern for them, or simply her worrying about her chances of escape? “The Straw Hat Pirates invaded Navarone; the news has already spread among the men and there’s simply no chance of me keeping that quiet. You, however…” he trailed off, letting her finish the thought on her own.
“And in exchange?”
His Den Den rang, but he ignored it. Drake was a competent man, and Jonathan had no doubt in the heart of the rest of his men. It wasn’t every day he got the last Oharan in his office, willing to talk.
“Some information,” Jonathan told Robin. “About what happened twenty years ago.”

Hello!!! For the questions - 1, 4, 6 + 9 for “the american experience”! It’s so cute and fluffy even though Dream is a meanie 💞
hello!! dream IS a meanie but that's one of my favorite parts about this fic hehehehe 😈
answers about this fic
--
1: What inspired you to write the fic this way?
okay im gonna be so honest I could've SWORN this fic was inspired by an hc/concept/ask that me and llama talked about but I just looked through BOTH of our blogs from the week or so before this fic was posted and I cannot find anything??? what the hell??? so I guess I was wrong lmao and I guess I was just thinking about jetlagged gogs and boom! fully completed fic, done
4: What’s your favorite line of dialogue?
I have a few for this one!! I'm actually a big fan of how I wrote Dream's teasing in this one, and George's reactions are quite cute too <33 I particularly like this part here (more than One line but it's okay)
"Hmm, I wonder if the other foot is just as ticklish as this one?"
"No!"
"No?"
"Mm-mm!"
"It's not ticklish like the other one?"
"Mm-mm!"
"Well, then I guess you'll have no problem with me doing this, since you're obviously not ticklish here, right?"
just because I really like the playfulness of that little section. here are a couple more that I think are honorable mentions:
[Eventually, through all his wiggling, he managed to pull one of his ankles from Dream's headlock, using it to push at Dream's thigh in an attempt to put him away.] "Uh oh!"..."We got a man down, we gotta fix it!"
-
"Awww, poor Georgie can't handle a little tickling? Is the tickling too much for him?"
-
"Okay, I got you, we're gonna skip to the grand finale, alright?"..."Georgie? Is that alright?"
i like that last one a lot bc I think it's important to make it obvious that everyone involved is having a good time/no one is uncomfortable with the situation. tickling can be pretty intense sometimes, especially if you're not actively seeking it out, so I like to add that stuff in as much as I can :))
6: What makes this fic special or different from all your other fics?
this fic was actually the first time i've ever like Officially fully written feet tickles!! that may not sound too exciting but I went through such a long period of time thinking i DESPISED the idea of feet tickles but when i finally realized it was just the super intense side that wasn't for me (not that they're not awesome that way too, just not my personal cup of tea) I was able to write it the way I wanted to in a breeze so I think that's pretty cool!!
9: Were there any alternate versions of this fic?
if I'm remembering correctly I think I started writing a version of this fic that wasn't actually feet tickles? I didn't get very far into it because the transition always felt forced and unnatural to me while writing, so I tried to take a different approach and that's how we ended up with what we got. I did go back into the Google doc history and find the original, so here's a VERY brief portion of the original fic,,,,, as a treat :)
"Well," Dream began, fingers sliding up George's leg where they rested over his lap to stop at his hipbone. "I think I have an idea on how to keep you awake." Dream's thumb ghosted over the hem of George's shirt, slowly sliding underneath it and rubbing a calloused finger on the skin there. George looked up at him, eyes wide and eyebrows tense in confusion, until Dream ever-so-lightly scratched his nails up George's side. George tensed, sitting up and slightly arching away from Dream's hand with a gasp, until Dream flattened a hand on his stomach and pushed him back down.

Third look at She-Hulk:
Tumblr media
- Again, the episode is shorter than other Marvel shows so far.
- I like the whole "she was hated online by men" angle, because this is literally what is happening now, so it is kinda funny that the show is representing what is happening in real life as we speak, and that scene sparked even more hostile dudebro comments like this. And the true kicker of that scene is that those comments ARE REAL. Those are things that real, living, breathing men in real life wrote online about female superheroes. There are a few projects led by women, that in comparison to how many movies there were with male leads before, and men throw a fit and act as if universe was erasing them when 20% of the shows is with female leads, while 80% is still with white male leads. Like seriously, it's like someone having 99% of the cake, while you are having that 1% and them complaining you got anything at all, or that you are "stealing the cake" if someone tries to give you a slice bigger than 1%.
- "I don't have problem with female heroes, just make your own". Same argument was said about queer heroes and POC heroes or any character in any universe tbh, and our response is always the same "We make our heroes, but you ignore their existence and make them all flop and then weaponize that flop to say that "this is a proof why we should not get any". The legacy of a hero being given to a character that is not a white man is not changing the character, it is a continuation of the big legacy trusted upon the new generation, nobody would have a problem with it if all new generation was full of whitey boys. Changing Iceman's sexuality is not taking away, either, because men like him EXIST in real life. Men who thought they were straight all their lives only to discover they were the fuck not and were just so deep in the closed that they didn't realize it, but still acted out to affirm their straightness out of subconsciously perceived difference they knew existed in them all along. We have Black Panther, Storm, and a few other minority heroes that are original, and they don't get as much love as they should, because of fucking racism or queerphobia or any other bigoted bullshit originating from the concept of otherness. I literally saw comments when Black Panther movie came out in my own fucking country that "they are now making movies about monkeys"... we cannot make our own things, because you take it away from us, you review bomb it, you do not pay attention to it, you don't love it, and you make it all get erased, forgotten, cancelled and NOT because it was worse made than yours. The reason is that you just treat those stories as lesser because of WHO they are about. So shut up y’all.
- Ugh, Dennis is a fucking exoticism fetishist. He hated on Jen, because they worked together, but the moment he sees a hot BLACK woman he goes fully "what a nice lady that is" as if it didn't have all the wrong connotations. She is beautiful, doesn't mean you have a chance, Dennis. Hell, I would flip the table and dance on the windowsill if Mallory dated Jen instead. That would be neat.
- Shape-shifter Light Elf from New Asgard? Where is this lady? Can I meet her? Who is Megan Thee Stallion? *googles* Oh, OH! What a wonderful celebrity lady. Also black. WTF Dennis, we see your type you piece of shit. Also, the audacity to think that a woman like this would ever look at him in any other way than neutrality or disgust is astounding. MEN LOL. And Jen laughing at him is relatable. I wanted to laugh in his face too, like seriously. This is hilarious.
- Wong became irresponsible. Maybe it is not that Stephen was like this? Maybe it is just the thing that comes with the job of being the Sorcerer Supreme? It certainly starts to look like it. Throwing Blonsky into Mirror or Shadow Dimensions... really, Wong? xD
- That elven lady? Priceless. The scene in which it is shown that Pug would never harass women in the workplace, because only impostor would say he did like it, not cool. Anybody can be the harasser and a weak ass excuse like "you know me" doesn't cover it, but the image of an elven old granny really solidifies the idea that "oh, no nice man could do it". They can. They would. You cannot really judge basing on looks or personality at all. Even ill-mannered people like Bruce Banner could turn to be harassers in real life, because it is not based on someone's goodness, image or any trait of them as people. It is based on how they view the world, and how they view themselves in that world (above), and where they view women in it (below).
- Lol, she was not rejected by the Avengers. Who makes up those rumors? Some absolute asshole, that’s for sure.
- Oh, yeah. I assumed soulmates was a genderless term, but in MCU it means "he has seven women waiting for him and billing his vacation after the jailtime". Why, I am not surprised that Emil Blonsky would somehow manage to seduce / lead astray 7 fine ladies?
- I seriously laughed so hard when the judge told Runa - the elven lady that "Thor's motivational speeches are not admissible in court" xD Even music cut abruptly, as if loosing all wind in the sails xD She has very chaotic Loki energy and holly shit I needed this in my life!
- Real life She-Hulk scene in a nutshell: Judge: You know Mr. Wong that you have committed a crime? Wong: I must go. Bye.
- Anonymous lawyer? Really Jen? I bet it would not end like this even without you being a Hulk. There are too many cases to just not land any superhero case in a normal office.
- Oh no. No "taking away powers" idea. JEN, YOU WERE BETTER IN THE CARTOON! EMBRACE YOUR HULKNESS! DON’T DO THIS!
- OMG, because she is a woman, Newscaster is only interested in her name and her diet. I thought they will be asking about the case she was leading? But, well, what did I expect from men? This is a great scene. Shows how women are treated in media even when invited.
- "Did you guys rob Asgardian construction worker?" PRICELESS. COMPLETELY DESTROYED THE WRECKING CREW, OMG XDDDDD Also, they wanted her blood? Who is the boss? Cliffhanger!
- That postcredit scene... I dunno what to think about twerking She-Hulk. I am too stunned to think anything. She is the fun lawyer, but also why twerking? They could be rapping instead!

favourite adult character hcs?
Hmmm——I have a few—
And since you didn’t specify which adults—-imma do some random quick ones :
Lana Pazoni, Edgar’s old gf :
Once she broke up with Edgar and got with Dean LaGrante, everything seemed perfect, and they had a great relationship….in the beginning——at least—
Yeah needless to say that they didn’t last very long, not because of Lana, but because of Dean——He cheated at least several times while still dating her….and their love? Was broken—-and neither were happy. Lana also originally was very clingy to Dean going so far as to change EVERYTHING about her self for his happiness——But Dean just wanted to sleep around——Yeah…..They had an extremely messy break up—-even though they took their thing through college——( The song that inspired this headcannon was a song by the name of ‘Me and Ricky’ from the musical ‘The Theory of Relativity,’ very good song btw——)
Donatella Aquato :
She originally came from a circus where she performed with her mother….and like most other headcannons, she was one of her circus’s best—-being seen as the “face” of many of their performances. And once in a while, someone else’s circus would come and stay near their camp, do their performance, and leave either the next day or two…but one of these circuses had non other than Augustus and Nona. And the two had met—-by complete chance may I add—-there was a very big possibility of them not actually meeting—-But the circus that Augustus was part of was planning to partner with Dona’s, to which they did——and a few years later—-Dona, Augustus, and Nona book it from the place to start their own circus——The Aquato circus. ( Also, Dona and Augustus met when they were around 17 years old in this headcannon )
As for the reason they booked it? Well…besides the fact that Augustus was actually planning on ditching this circus to create his new one—-but many were treating Dona as an object—-and really? No one other than a Augustus and his “mother” had really seemed to care about her at all! And her mother was the worst of these—-She didn’t really even want Dona—-but kept her more in a means to show her off her beauty and skill in the acrobatic arts—-and all of this caused Dona a lot of physical and mental pain—-and so, already having a strong bond and friendship, they only started dating after the creation of the circus ( and yes, even prior to them dating they were a duo ) invited her to run with them and join their circus, to which she happily obliged- and soon after, the three of them, Dona, Augustus, and Nona, ran off to start up a circus of their own creation——-and the rest is history honestly!
Sasha Nien : Now let’s get into my headcannon as to why he ran from home—-
Now yes, in his memory vault we saw him seeing some……”interesting” memories of his mother, which we are led to believe caused him to run away—as he was so weirded out by them that he didn’t want to even be near his father——but I feel that could’ve just been the start of it——( Start of the reasons he had to run )
So what I think is—-this all started with Sasha asking about his mother, and his father declining to answer—and after many times of asking——Sasha came to a conclusion that his father just didn’t love his mother and refused to tell him about her just due to his distaste against her…..but that turned out to be wrong…..VERY WRONG on Sasha’s part—-( Shocking I know, wow he could be wrong what a shock- )
Anyway—-Sasha did eventually realize that his father did in-fact love his mother, very VERY much. But he still had a lot of baggage from this—-and possibly, that one “interesting” memory of his mother could’ve caused him to think this way—because it had made him think that his father had only loved her for her body, and not for herself, thinking that he had just used her to “satisfy himself,” but when all is said and done——Sasha still ran away—-So I see the time line of this as follows :
Sasha asks about his mother, to which his father declines multiple times into not answering.
Sasha reads his mind looking for anything about his mother, only to find….you know the one—
Sasha begins to doubt his fathers love for anyone, and spirals into a “horrible mindset.”
Sasha then re-reads his mind and discovers the truth—-The happy memories of his mother, and everything, well mostly, about her.
Sasha regrets what he had thought and represses all of it to the bottom of his mind and soul, never wanting to admit that he thought such awful things,,,,like for instance : seeing his father as a monster.
A few years pass, easily 5 or 6 ( note that he was quite young when his “bad thoughts about his father began” he was at least 7 or 8 ) and Sasha begins to realize just how horrible his fathers pain is, and just how much grief the man is going through——and so in thinking that he was only a burden to his father, and that he could never help him, ran away in hopes of giving him “something less to worry about.”
——
And uh—yeah! These were some of my headcannons for some of the adult characters in psychonauts and I hope you like them!

03•22•24 - “Small Town Kids”
This was a fun challenge in theory, but ended up being one we'll be laughing and embarrassed about for years haha.
The challenge was to pick a small town or area at least 15 miles away from home that you've spent little to no time in, and go there for the night. We were supposed to eat at a local restaurant and leave a good tip, and also visit a local park. While at the park, talk about what you think the history of the town is, make up your own backstory, and then give it a new name.
Because we got a later start, we decided we'd better do the park first, and eat afterward. We decided on Morgan, because even though I had a project in Morgan last year, I never spent time there for fun. And B hasn't really been there at all! And it definitely qualifies as a small town - they don't even have any restaurants open past 8!!! On a Friday night!
The park we went to was very small, so we walked the perimeter twice. We decided it must have been named after a pioneer settler named Morgan, but that a better backstory would have been a woman (Morgan) getting sick of being treated badly by her husband, and rallying women together to found the city as women only for the first few years, and them naming it after her! We renamed it Mount Moo, because of the "M" already on the mountain, because of the mountains surrounding it, and because of all the cows around.
Much to our surprise, when we did some research later we learned Morgan was originally named "Mount Joy," so we weren't far off at all! It was settled in 1861 and it is currently the only incorporated city in all of Morgan County. In 2021, it had a population of about 4,200.
Then we were ready for the final part of the challenge, which was eating at a local restaurant. I knew there was a little bar on the outskirts of the city, and they were open until 1 AM. Google reviews said it was "great for kids" so I assumed there must be an area where they just serve food, no alcohol - kind of like any other sports bar.
As we were walking up, we noticed signs that said "ID required" and "This is a bar, not a restaurant" and I realized I didn't bring my ID. But we were still not sure if there was a separate restaurant area, so we decided to go in and ask. We opened the door and everyone in there (in their cowboy hats carrying guns) turned to stare at us like the outsiders we were. It was like a scene from a movie. We were immediately so uncomfortable, and then we had to ask the bartender if there was a place we could sit and just order food. She said no, we couldn't be in there without an ID, so we just had to awkwardly leave. I can still feel the stares, just like no one wanted us to be there and we did not belong haha. It was awful! So in the end, I'm glad we didn't stay.
In the main area of Morgan, there were literally only two restaurants open, and one only served soda and popcorn. So we had to go to Deb's Spicy Pie. We felt much more comfortable there, and went up to order a pizza - only to find out, they were all out of pizza hahah. Of course! So we got a couple of sandwiches, tipped 50%, ate, and got out of Morgan! Thanks, but no thanks hahah.
So like I said, nice idea, but not great in execution for us! At least it was memorable haha.

game stuff
compiled bc im tired lol
f-h:
archanea banner is actually not bad imo. yumina is cool and i actually kinda like the character development she has from being separated from her twin. i think her being somewhat younger than like. miranda/etc/ other young-ish royalty kept as prisoners of war is compelling, like shes trying to be responsible and act mature despite being a kid and also has the advantage of no love story angle like the others
castor/kashim is cool too, ive seen him around recently and im glad he got in. something abt somewhat pathetic/cowardly yet extremely understandable/relatable ghb archanea bois i am totally digging, w matthis last yr too. caeda and merric are by no means bad choices for the special variants, and im partial to those two + marth as a trio (main lord + soft mage boi + pegasus princess is so peak f e trio content honestly. my original f e parody thingy has that same dynamic as well), esp since the other banner characters are related to them (castor -> caeda and arlen -> merric). and arlennnn elreannnn im screaming in the club congrats on getting in!!! and thank u for coming home to me too. since yumina also came home and castor is ghb ive gotten everyone i remotely want from this banner lol. time to save for the next one
as far as the story chapter i want hresvelger and nidhoggr to prosper and thrive. esp loving nidhoggr for calling out the main characters on their bs. i know were supposed to side w them but honestly im siding w nidhoggr. this fucking child got away with torturing and killing people for years, and just bc she decides she wants to be buddies with her much-older crush from the country she invaded and slaughtered for years means thats all in the past if she believes or whatever. idk they just do not make these protagonists likeable in my opinion. like idk i think theres three basic tiers to protagonists. 1. i love them i want them to succeed. 2. i dont love them but i realize that they should morally overcome whatever they need to, or rather its the better outcome if they do. and 3. i hate them and the story would be better off if these shitheads were just defeated or whatever. and honestly a lot of gacha games are the third category.
for actual plot not to be that guy but i feel like it could be the first step in kasumiverse. for the first few real time months kasumiverse lays low, but in the wake of elanor's resignment from writing publicity for the royal family, in order to fill that void and assert askr/embla dominance for the masses, kasumi and a small squad are sent to embla. they accidentally meet nidhoggr, and kasumi realizes abt the healing power of yggdrassilians.
possibly it starts when the squad first run into eadgyth, a young askran whose parents were emblians, and is being treated like a figurepiece by the order of heroes' supporters. but shes just such a one track absolutely beethovinian classicaloid mind that she doesnt care, for she wants to solve every mystery and uncover the true secret of the worldtree.
kasumi and the others are sent, along with the still figurehead-treated eadgyth, to embla for the ceremony or whatever- eadgyth for publicity and kasumisquad as bodyguards for the order. the chapter 5/6? events happen and they run into nidhoggr? kasumi also learns abt hresvelger and the rest of the worldtree, which like. eadgyth pumps her fist like "i knew it!!!" kasumisquad book 5/6/8 be like "we picked up a weird child" whereas 7 is like "my sexy femme fatale friend got killed offscreen and im having a breakdown"
-dv:
like considering her backstory is not completely revealed im still not 100 percent sure but honestly ivy is cementing herself really early as a contender for at least like a geisha/wuwu level "yea they cool" character. i like that (so far) her family in her backstory are actually loving and caring, and doesnt have a gender bias pitting one gender parent as evil and the other as a saint like other characters. i also like her past/present/future time theme too (tho after b7 i am wary. like it could be cool but it could be incredibly disappointing :/ ) but more to the point she brought the return of the king b skin antonio with her!!! b skin antonio + cn anni shop package ricky!!!!!! we eatin good bois. looks like music bois are back on the (metaphorical) menu. and with ricky finally getting non coa/mary related content in that like. postcard goods im rlly happy. also ricky seems like he could be a ghost too, considering his skin seems to be called ghost sail. posthumous anniv ricky is the dream honestly.
-go:
cyrano please come home. that is all also the event was baller thank you for saving fictional magus cinema cyrano from real history
g-f:
gacha is not good to me but i really want studra so pls come home. i dont rlly think i care abt anything else lol

This month I try to get better at putting out work in a consistent manner. The prompts are from the Spooktober challenge by the.plottery on Instagram.
Todays prompt is: A story set on Halloween night
I was originally continue my story of the 14. with the sentient pumpkin, but I did not feel like writing smut today, so I wrote a piece about astronauts being homesick.
“Smith, do you miss Halloween?” I said as I floated through the central room of the station.
Smith looked up from his Laptop, where he was entering the data from today's material testing, “I don't know I liked it as a kid, and as a student, I liked the wild parties on the campus. I do not miss it now, but I probably would if I had a kid like Thompson.”
Thompson returned from the bathroom with the hand towel still in her hand, “What would I miss?”
“Halloween” I explained, “Smith said, that he would probably miss it if he had a kid like you.”
Thompson laughed a hearty laugh and threw the towel into Smiths' face, “For you to have a kid you would have to find a partner that would want to have a kid with you”
“Very funny,” said Smith in a deadpan voice, “but please tell us do you miss it, not being down there?”
“Well I miss Bella every day, but special days are extra special. Last year she had her first Halloween where she was fully aware of the festivities. She had choosen a character from a cartoon as her costume. We went around our neighborhood trick-or-treating. It is like the joy of celebrating Halloween as a kid but by proxy through your child. To make sure she has the same nice memories of the holiday, just as I had them.” While talking she pulled up a picture on her phone, a little girl in a sparkling outfit grinned into the camera a bucket filled with treats of every color in her hands. “ That was last year. Dave said, that Bella wanted to surprise me this year and I think they are still at work or Kindergarten.”
Smith looked at the picture and smiled, “Aww, cute kid. What about you, Latour?”
I thought for a second, as I did not really know. I just saw the date on the computer and realized that today was in fact Halloween. I used to celebrate it with friends and family all the time, but those people were gone or grew out of it, leaving me alone. “ I guess it is similar to you Smith, I have fond memories, but now, especially up here, it is very far away. Although I have to admit, that I kind of miss it now.”
My face must have betrayed my sadness as Thomson floated over to me and touched me on the shoulder in a motherly gesture. She spoke very softly: “If you want to we could probably celebrate a bit up here, well we could at least watch a scary movie and eat some candy?”
It suddenly felt really warm in my stomach and chest. “That would actually be really nice.”
“As long it is not a scary movie in space,” Smith interjected, “I would like to sleep tonight.”
So we finished our work for the day and then set up for a movie night in front of the largest screen we had on the station. We hung our sleeping bags on wires with enough tension so we would not float around. We raided our pantry for the tastiest freeze-dried snack food we could find. We even were able to decide on a horror movie we would all enjoy.
The opening credits were not even through when Thomson received a message on her phone. She got a little bit of tears in her eyes and she showed us the screen. On it was the same little girl we saw earlier but now she had a surprisingly accurate space suit on. Just like the ones we used for spacewalks. Thomspon excused herself and we heard her having a short video call with her family.
We heard the little girl cheer, that she was an astronaut, just like Mommy. Smith and I smiled at each other upon hearing this. Moments later Thompson returned. “They are going Trick or treating now,” she said as she wriggled back into her sleeping bag. We started the movie again and we were transfixed by the cheesy slasher. Calling out the mistakes of the characters and cheering for the final girl. This was my first Halloween in orbit and for the first time in years I did not miss Halloween, I was celebrating it again.

Cut Halo content turned into brand new open-world level
Tumblr media
After a group of modders began showcasing the work they've been doing with 343 Industries to restore more than two decades of lost content to Halo: The Master Chief Collection, the original Halo now has a playable campaign level that brings cut content from the FPS game's RTS and third-person concept days to the fore of the experience. Last week 343 Industries and a group of modders going by the name Digsite shared the start of a colossal Halo project. The two teams have been working together to restore cut Halo content from back when the iconic FPS was just an RTS and then a third-person shooter with guns, enemies, vehicles, maps, and so much more set to be reintroduced to Halo: The Master Chief Collection to play and mod with. Not only is this an incredible bit of videogame preservation, but it also presents the six-game collection as one of the most robust, content-filled, and community-driven games available today. It’s not just Halo Waypoint blogs and restored assets though, as the Digsite team has released an entire level in Halo: Combat Evolved, which uses loads of the assets that they’ve restored, giving you a chance to engage with lost Halo history firsthand. Downloadable on Steam and playable in Halo MCC, I’m nothing short of blown away by the work of the Digsite team, which you can see in action in the UnboundConman video below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6RJz-u_dfTI Built in the sandbox space that Digsite has restored from the Halo Macworld demo in 1999, there are cutscenes, brand-new restored weapons, and even new music too. Using the Macworld map also “pushes the engine to the limit, all at once” according to the Digsite team, stretching the original Halo as far as it can go. It’s almost like a bizarro version of the first Halo, where everything looks the same on the surface, but then there’s the iconic assault rifle with a grenade launcher and assets you’ve never seen before. I need to make it clear that this isn’t one cohesive cut level from Bungie back in the day though, but instead a smorgasbord of cut content from multiple versions of Halo all rolled into one new experience, for free. As mentioned, the Digsite team is restoring content from across the Halo series, with the Halo 2 E3 2003 demo – the cobbled-together and still iconic video footage that showed an almost entirely different Halo 2 – also being made playable at some point soon as well. While I repeatedly raise questions about decisions regarding Halo Infinite, like the Xbox showcase no-show and the removal of certain features, I can safely say that the way the Master Chief Collection is being treated, nine years after release, is nothing short of incredible. I really hope 343 and Digsite keep this up and turn the restored content into properly usable extras. Both modders and players get extra toys to play with, while the state of videogame restoration improves as these decade-old bits of content become easily accessible. Videogames are the only medium that lets you play history, be that of the real world or the industry itself, and it’s a joy to see that realized in the Digsite team’s work. If you want more, you can learn all about the Digsite team’s work restoring Halo 2 cut content on Halo Waypoint, with the Halo 1 Crash Site level available on Steam as well. Halo: The Master Chief Collection is also part of Game Pass, so you can play all this content at no extra cost if you subscribe. While we all wait for more restored Halo content, we’ve got the Halo Infinite system requirements and the best multiplayer games you can be playing right now. Read the full article
