Black Butler Amino, Black Arts Magazine - Holiday Party

it doesn't quite look like a holiday party from here, but what I imagined as a humble little piece is~~ Ciel and Lizzy sneak away from the big bustling midford Christmas party and raid the kitchen desserts, like they did when they were kids(it was Lizzy's idea, Ciel clearly hasn't been himself since he returned, and she wanted to bring him back).

modern day au where Eivor and Randvi are travelling back home for the holidays

they are from different cities but have the same connecting flight and end up seated next to each other on the plane

Randvi obviously has the window seat because she checked in early and Eivor has to awkwardly take the middle seat, this will not be explained further

just like right now, there is an arctic system affecting flights. their flight ends up delayed from the gate, and then it taxis/holds on the tarmac for like 4-5 hours because de-icing and general weather conditions are making it really difficult for ALL flights

they get to know each other on the plane. Eivor's phone lost charge like 2 hours into the forevertaxi and Randvi had been reading some old Norse archeology book so they start talking. Eivor talks about and shows Randvi her tattoos and talks about living in Norway/Iceland/Faroe Islands/England/Ireland/Archeological flavour of your choice.

They find out they have a lot of mutual contacts and plan to meet up when they land.

The travelling situation is a mess and they have to navigate the airport with hundreds of other stranded travelers trying to figure out what to do with their cancelled flights. Randvi is distraught bc it's her first year in a while going back home and her sister (Thora ofc) just had a baby. Eivor is distraught bc a mentor and father figure of hers passed away (Svend) and she's concerned she won't make the funeral.

They spend literal hours in endless lines getting confusing information from a severely understaffed and overwhelmed 3am airport staff. Everyone around them (and themselves) are tired, hungry, thirsty, looking for a way to their destination.

They split briefly at first, but eventually find each other again to navigate the mess. It just makes more sense to stay in line together. One can stay in line and watch bags while the other uses the restroom, tries to find out what is happening in another line, tries to find food/drink, charges their phone. This of course leads them to exchanging their contact info so they can keep each other informed.

At some point Randvi gets super cold bc it's negative double digits and her coat is in her checked-in luggage. So of course Eivor gives her her jacket and says "it's fine, I run hot. Anyways, I'm wearing a flannel so technically I have layers too" -- totally normal gay behaviour.

Eventually, after 16 hours, they are delirious and swaying on their feet, but they manage to get a standby flight to where they're headed. They get food and drinks together once the shops are finally open and then head to their gate. Eivor, clearly shaking and on the verge of sleep deprived delirium, offers to stay awake while Randvi catches up on some sleep while they wait. Eivor says she will sleep on the flight.

Their first standby flight is a miss; but they're automatically rolled over to the next flight. Since it's still some hours away, Eivor does get some sleep and they both rest for a while.

There's a mutual unspoken fear of being put on separate flights since they are on standby and itching to get going, but luckily they make it on the same flight.

Seats are super limited though and they end up sitting separated from each other. Not that it matters too much bc all they end up doing is sleeping lol

When they land, there's a bit of debacle about how to find their luggage, and they end up chatting a bit more. This is when Eivor learns that Randvi was actually pretty close with Sigurd and Styrbjorn's family in general (details to be filled in on exactly what this is lol), and Randvi learns that Eivor is very good friends with Tove, who she is also good friends with, sharing mutual interest in ancient art.

So they learn they're going to the same neighbourhood, so they take a rideshare together. They actually solidify their plans to meet up later when Randvi learns Eivor is getting another tattoo and Randvi is giving research materials to Tove for referencing.

Eivor takes a genuine interest in it and offers to help on any expeditions or research sessions or trips if Randvi would like. Randvi learns Eivor has a boat and has enjoyed their time so far, and so they start planning regular expeditions around the North Sea, experiencing its lands and gifts together and witnessing the beauty of the northern lights regularly on Eivor's boat. :)

And for the 7292649391638th time, these two bitches fall in-love AGAIN

so i "did nothing" today of what i had planned (groceries, 'mental health walk') but i also : - did the laundry - put away the dry cloth of the previous laundry run - waxed (which i wanted to do yesterday so i'm glad i did it now) - practiced my instrument (twas not great as it was a bit mindless, but i finally found the source of one recent sound problem) - washed my hair - did a little callisthenics - downloaded some songs to begin making a collection - learned that even if i'm not feeling it, putting the right song WILL give me the energy necessary to do the thing. i do not need to want to hear the sound for it to work.

so even if i didn't do a "specific activity" outside i still did things and that's good !

#3615 my life #this post comes from the fact that i always 'ruin / waste' my holidays by doing 'nothing'#when i want to do 'things'#and i'm beginning to see/add nuances to what is things and nothings and what feels like doing or not doing #it was sunny today (as much as it can be lately.) and in general i'm dog holding it's leash about it #and if i don't go out i feel like i shot myself in the foot and is doubly sad #but i thought about it and actually didn't want to go truly it was not uuuh i saw it again lately. it was not demand avoidance #because it's fucking wimdy and i hate the wind and behinf outside in the cold wind #so actually i was much happier home #day did not happen how i planned it but in the end i don't feel like i fucked it up. i did things that made me feel good #and or will help me later #and i shouldn't ask too much of myself. like for cleaning : one thing a day is already great ! all in it's time.#that's how the brain learn it's not a chore and is able to do it more readily and agreeably the next time

I haven't opened my game in a few days but I watched the new trailer and I can't stop laughing at how hard they're pushing being a landlord as the main feature and only highlighting property owning in the trailers when I have yet to see a single person actually excited about that part of the pack. Lmfao

#What do the damn radiators and water heaters do? Are they cross compatible with Seasons or Eco Lifestyle?#Are they just decor that breaks from time to time? What is their purpose?#What does the damn world look like? What about the festivals?#The repo-ing tenant's stuff and evicting them has caused many a Simstuber to cringe (as they should) and it's hilarious to me #Like they really just do not know their audience and it's so funny. hello :) im taking a break (not abandoning the blog)

just wanted to like, let you all know I'm taking a break from tumblr rn. I was gonna say it earlier, but my internet has been whacked for a little bit. It's better now, and I figured I should just tell you so nobody's wondering what going on!

My energy to write for Stardew is just really low right now. This happens a lot, what with the whole interest in it coming and going whenever it pleases. I don't know when I'll come back, and I might not be back in full swing for a while, but I'm not yet abandoning this blog!

On hold while I may or may not have covid (probably from the holidays) and also half a gallon of epoxy resin to use before it goes bad (definitely from the holidays), but I'll put some words to paper right now just for you 🥂

Today, I made a mushroom pyramid :)

It's such a petty thing, but my favourite somewhat sort of not really underrated character dynamics in Hetalia is Ivan and Arthur, and Ivan and Kiku's... non. relationship.

Like they just absolutely do not like that man.

I just... love... how consistent Arthur and Kiku's discomfort->dislike->virulent hatred of Ivan is. Which sounds mean. But he deserves it. Mostly. Like in terms of characters who kind of sort of suck at social interaction, Ivan, Arthur, and Kiku are certainly up there amongst the top five.

And yet... never once in like 15 years are Arthur and Kiku shown having a conversation with Ivan, which doesn't just go downhill insanely fast. Francis and Yao are more willing to humour him and have some kind of relationship there, and Alfred is... Alfred is the golden retriever man, but... Kiku is just absolutely not interested in being polite to him. Arthur tries sometimes but has such a low tolerance for nonsense that the moment Ivan mentions another country in a vaguely unpleasant manner, Arthur gets absolutely red in the face and snaps.

Hima being consistent in going yeah no England never has and never will like or even feel comfortable around that guy and Japan literally runs away to avoid being friends with him is just... peak characterisation.

#essentially ivan is pathetic #and i say that... somewhat... sympathetically #i like it when characters don't get on is what i'm saying #it's the way that they have surface level similarities in circumstances and even attitudes but all three go in wildly different directions #so the two of them end up way more successful in keeping relationships alive than Ivan ever could #like there's a reason Alfred spends NYE & goes on holiday & has movie nights & tea parties with Arthur & I don't think its for convenience #& Kiku just seems to goes on holiday to Turkey with Ludwig & Feli for no more a deep reason than they just enjoy each other's company...#like yes Ivan is a victim of circumstance but good lord he doesn't help himself much #and yesyesyes us/russia relations are a goldmine for how they flip over the centuries #but anglo-russian relations have...never...been...great...#so it's just watching people who in a different life maybe get on all right #but here and now? there's nothing but discomfort #hetalia #hws england #hws japan #hws russia #op

#she's a great aunt but of my extended family i've seen her the most #they host the yearly reunions and i've seen them during other holidays and stuff </3 #like. my aunt and dad are discussing my dad going down to take my grandpa down to see her #and staying down there for a bit #which needs to happen! but i rlly wish i could go too #but i have to stay up here with my mom #her husband is my grandpa's older brother #and i think there's some concern he'll follow if she passes 😔#not suicide but just how old couples do sometimes #hella personal #i was gonna make the rest of my gifts for my coworkers but now idk if i can #anyway prayers and thoughts and any other religious stuff for aunt anna would be appreciated 🙏#it's abt to be her husband's birthday too.....#i think i'm also just scared that smth will happen when my dad's down there and I'll find out via call #anyway #idk if i want to talk abt this rlly rn 💔

The plan is to stay in this hell job until I get public service loan forgiveness but damn if I'm not having a month that's making me consider just quitting right now and having all $50,000 of that debt fall right on my head just so I don't have to be here one single solitary second longer

As I get older, I become less and less fond of fireworks holidays....

I love fireworks. The sound, the colours, the patterns, the smell, the artistry of a good show? Delightful.

But the 2-4 days on either side of the actual holiday, dealing with random fuckos in the surrounding neighborhood shooting them off until unreasonable hours? No thanks.

#food and weight loss talks in the following tags if u dont wanna see!#anyways. i think i finally found a relationship with food that works for me #weight loss isn't the goal but my one pair of shorts that were a lil snug don't feel so anymore so that's cool #ive also been working out regularly and feeling pretty good #even when i dont go to the gym i try to get at least 2k steps in on my desk elliptical #nothing I'm doing is perfect by any means but it's better that what i wasnt doing before!#i mainly just gotta stay away from like. reddit #people got some really strong (and tbh disordered) opinions on nutrition which makes it hard to sift thru and find good stuff #i didn't do great on 4/20 but like. it was a holiday. it's fine #i have always had a disordered relationship with food on both extremes so I'm trying to not dip too far in the other direction #so far i think im doing well!
