I think this fandom is too normal about Petronille. WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE'S ONLY IN HER LATE TEENS/EARLY 20'S WHAT DO YOU MEAN?????
Like like!!!! We don't have a timeline on when Bonnie and Nille ran away from home, but it HAS to be when Bonnie was really young. Bonnie doesn't seem to remember their parents well at all, and the most we hear about them is that they were "mean". So like!!!! Depending on how old you see Bonnie (10-12ish) and how young you think the two ran away, that could range from 5 to 9 years give or take.
Thats!!!! A range!!! At the oldest Nille (say 24) she was 18 or 19 when the two ran away, which is an adult but still pretty young, but the youngest range????? Hello??? If Nille is 19 now, she could have been as young as 11 when she took Bonnie!!!! What!!!!
I don't think that's the case, but still??? If we take the average of those two, Nille would be 16!!! 16!!!!! And taking care of her sibling basically on her own!!! Nille is a kid who had to grow up too fast and take on the world to make sure Bonnie and her could survive!!! Nille's probably been fighting a good chunk of her life for their happiness and that doesn't even ACCOUNT for the abuse their parents messed her up with. And then after EVERYTHING basically sacrificed herself so Bonnie could have a chance to live from the King's Curse!!!!!
And after all that!!!! Suddenly, she's offered protection from 4 random adults who also adore her sibling and want to take care of the both of them??? What do you do with that??? Do you even BELIEVE that??? Can you even trust that someone else than you could be trusted with your baby sibling? That you can let someone else take that responsibility. The responsibility that you took on with your whole heart and soul to the point you made sure that even if you basically DIED for all that mattered, at least Bonnie would have a chance.
You've been asleep for months and woken up in a new reality where you're not your sibling's whole world anymore. They've changed. You weren't there for it. These people Iove Bonnie so much. But do they know them as much as you do??? They weren't there all this time!!! You should know your sibling better than anyone here!!!
And yet. Yet...
You don't know what to make of this. You're happy Bonnie's safe. You're terrified you don't recognize the new parts of them that have shown up without you being there.
Your sibling lives in a whole new world now. They love you. They would come back to it just being the two of you if you pushed it.
But if you do, you're not sure Bonnie would ever forgive you for it.

I've seen more people lamenting all the horrible Vashwood shippers and their problematic "one is a teenager and one is 100 years old!" ship again, so I'm just going to say it again, and I'll CONTINUE to say it until it sinks in (which means I'll never stop, lbh)
WOLFWOOD IS AN ADULT.
In Trigun 98, he was in his late 20's. All of us oldies got started in this fandom with a ship of two grown ass adults!
Wolfwood in the manga IS AN ADULT. They started fucking with his DNA when he was a kid, yes, and it made him age more quickly, but there is literally a sidestory that shows him as a kid of around 10 years old taking care of a very young girl, and the next time you see her, she's 16 years old. HE IS WELL OVER HIS 20'S.
They haven't given us a concrete timeline in Stampede for his age yet, but given the other two versions and that they're sticking pretty close to the manga, it's safe to assume that Wolfwood. IS A FUCKING ADULT.
Stop fucking pearl-clutching and accusing us of shipping children with adults! At best it's awkward because you obviously don't know what you're talking about and at best, it's DANGEROUS. This fucking platform has gone on witchunts for less, you could be perpetuating a lie that is going to get people harassed and doxed if enough people who don't know the source material get their panties in a bunch!
VASHWOOD IS NOT. A PEDO SHIP. FULL STOP. CUT IT OUT. STOP DOING THE THING. JESUS FUCKING CHRIST.

You pushed people out of the way, trying your hardest to get to the nearest girls' bathroom. After that fiasco, during lunch, you felt as if the whole world was looking at you in that hallway.
You managed to get into the bathroom, all right. But you couldn't help that lingering feeling like everyone knew or that maybe you were showing…
Is that even possible? I only found out like a couple of hours ago…
You stood in front of the sink in an empty bathroom. You washed your face abruptly. When suddenly, Debbie ran into the bathroom.
"Y/n?! Is everything ok!?" Debbie asked breathlessly. "I-I saw you running out of the cafeteria... Did Carl do something?" Debbie got closer to you. "CAUSE I SWEAR-"
"He didn't do anything!" You said, interrupting her as you dried your face. "It's just-"
You didn't know what to say or how you should be feeling at that moment. Carl didn't do anything insanely wrong; I mean, you caught him off guard, so why were you crying so much about it? Was it his reaction? Maybe...
"Y/n, you know you can talk to me; what's wrong?" Debbie started rubbing circles on your back.
"Is-Is it the baby?"
"Wha-WHAT?" You looked at Debbie surprised. "How did you-"
"Girl, come on. You're my best friend. I've known you for years. You thought I didn't notice? You've been acting differently since the moment you got to school. Not to mention Carl never shuts his mouth... at least when it comes to him taking your- virginity. Honestly, it's fuc*ing weird. I mean, he wrote the date on his Calander and-!"
Before Debbie could continue speaking, some random girl walked in. "Uhhh- Do you mind! Can't you see this bathroom's occupied?!" Debbie snapped. "GO!" The girl quickly left. Her reputation still precedes her.
"Anyways- I'm pregnant too. Remember that you're not alone, okay. Besides, it'll be fun! We can dress our babies up together, give them play dates, and they'll grow up like besties together! Just like us! Doesn't that sound exciting!"
You only gave Debbie a small smile as the bell ranged again, indicating that you were both late for class.

I swear to god I'm ending him- How dare he impregnate my bestie and proceed to make her cry!
Debbie was pi*sed at Carl. Even if she didn't show it, she was furious at him. She never fully trusted him with Y/n since he started dating her when he left Dom. She couldn't help but have this lingering suspicion that he was only using Y/n as a rebound and that he may still have feelings for Dom.
I mean, she knew that Y/n always had a crush on him. She heard the whole story of how she liked him, but Y/n's ex-friend liked him too. The moment Carl met Dom was the moment Debbie got pi*sed. She was mad at how Carl always ignored Y/n no matter how often Y/n tried to make it obvious. He would always go for Dom; if he was hanging out with them, he would always talk about how great Dom was.
This made Y/n very insecure. She knew Carl longer, but he never gave her a second glance, not even once. Debbie often wanted to say something to him, wanting to yell at him for being so oblivious, but Y/n would always stop her.
When Debbie reached her doorstep, she slammed the door open, yelling. "CARLLL! I SWEAR TO GOD! I'M GOING TO KILL-YOU! LITERALLY KILL-YOU!"
"Woah, woah, woah! No one is going to kill anyone." Fiona said. "What's going on, Debs?"
"Carl made Y/n cry."
"What! How?!" Fiona scrunched her eyebrows.
"Doesn't matter." Debbie climbed the stairs halfway. "Where is he?" Debbie looked down at Fiona.
"Uh, not here. He hasn't come back from school yet."
"Huh..."
_Flashback_
***Carl's Pov***
At the end of the school day, Carl told Nick to grab his bike as he went to take a pi*s. When Carl returned, he found Nick sitting on a bench with his elbows resting on his knees. Carl looked around, but he found no bike.
"Yo brother, where's yo bike at?"
"Gone," Nick said.
Carl took a pause and then sat next to his buddy with a frown face. "Man, don't sweat it. We'll just get ya a new one, a better one-"
"No." Nick looked him in the eyes. "I want my bike back."
Carl paused, then sighed. "Fine, but let's just focus on getting ourselves a ride for now."
It didn't take long for Carl to find a sweet ride and for Nick to break into it. Thanks to Bonnie, Carl knew how to hot wire most cars.
On the drive home, Nick spotted his bike. A kid took it. Immediately Nick turned the car around and started following the kid to his house. Carl told Nick to just drop it and that he'll get him a new one. Nick finally gave in and drove Carl home.
When they finally pulled up at Carl's place, Carl was too busy thinking about his girlfriend to realize that his friend had returned to the car. When he turned around, he already saw the car drive off. He knew where Nick was going. He knew this wouldn't end nicely, but even so, he still ran after him.
Finally, he arrived at the scene. He heard a mother screaming inside the house while his friend Nick was sitting on some stairs with his hand supporting his head. He looked like he was contemplating his life. When Carl saw the bloody hammer, he instantly knew what Nick did... He ran up the stairs to see the damage but ended up puking because of it. Carl asked him why he would do this, but Nick just told him to go before the Cops got there. All Carl could do was run as he saw his friend get arrested yet again.
From that point on, Carl decided to better himself.

I really bristle at the word smut sorry its too cutesy. I was a prodomme for seven years I don't do euphemisms lol. I wrote a sex scene into IITT to see how I felt about writing sex scenes. I learned that I am only interested in writing them if they serve specific functions. I have absolutely zero judgment toward anyone who wants to write about fuckin and suckin, that's just not why I'm here
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
No but recently my household watched game of thrones together and my bf and his brother were cracking jokes like what if one of these medieval characters had a gundam. Neither of them read fic so I was like don't be too entertained by yourselves. I bet that has been written. looked it up on ao3 and sure as shit

I'm not gonna lie I did find a fic where someone very obviously ripped me off but I don't wanna call them out. One specific instance where they bit my style was so clumsily applied as to be obvious, but their prose in general was fantastic so like. who care.

Not as far as I know but that would make me holler

Nope. I'm not opposed to the idea but it's hard to imagine how I'd do this given my process. I think I'd be pretty difficult to work with

I have my moments with the skyrim wip. I've signed myself up for something pretty complicated and challenging but I also learned that I can finish things so I'm not really worried about it. The fact of the matter is: I do not care if this is good. It matters that it is done so I can move on with my life. If parts of it are boring and overlong that's yalls problem
16. What are your writing strengths?
I get a lot of compliments on my worldbuilding. I do think a lot about the minutiae of material culture and think I have a talent for incorporating detail in engaging ways

I'm a cornball. This is a corny activity. I don't really care because I'm doing it for free. Enjoy the unsolicited view into an internet stranger's terrible psyche
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I try to apply with a light hand. I'm a dumbass sheltered American and I can mostly make myself understood in a Spanish-speaking country but that's about it. I like playing around with language and the idea of multilingual societies matters to me so I include it, but I'm not a linguist so I try to work within my limits. Whether I am successful at this is up to others.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Elder scrolls. Never felt compelled until i spent a winter playing oblivion and went wow this game has an incredibly bleak narrative behind a silly aesthetic. Oops now I'm in a lore pit
20. Favorite fic you've written?
The Nature of Fire is my best prose hands down. I'm gonna be real with y'all I am desperate for people to read it. It is genuinely the best I can do at this point and if you like what I've done so far, well, whatever u read sucks compared to this fic.

H'OKAY so bear in mind that I am basically brand-new to the fanfic side of this fandom, so, I don't think any of my recommendations are going to be news to anyone who's been here since 2019 or earlier.
That said, these are my favorites so far:
Factory Settings by Anonymous. 107k words, 60 chapters (and written in just two weeks last month, insanely enough).
I've recced this one before and I'll do it again, because it's an absolute blast. Premise is that Crowley DOES end up coming with Aziraphale to Heaven, but turning back into an angel has the unexpected side-effect of...well, restoring his factory settings. Meaning he is exactly the angel he was, with no memory of the last 6000 years. And things begin to unravel from there.
This fic is what finally sold me on Ineffable Bureaucracy, by the way.
Be advised that this IS a Crowley-was-Raphael fic. Since I know people tend to feel strongly about that. And it does apply some of the tropes that Raphael-deniers (and me, despite being a mild Raphael-truther myself) usually dislike. But the whole thing is just so damn impressive that, in this case, I'll allow it. xD
Demonology and the Tri-Phasic Model of Trauma: An Integrative Approach by Nnm. 99k words, 16 chapters.
I'm sure everyone already knows this one, but hey, a lot of my followers seem to be brand-new fans, so maybe I can pass the good word along. The POV character is Aubrey Thyme, Crowley's psychotherapist, as she helps him try to unpack all the trauma of...being Crowley. It's basically one long hyper-intensive character study, and it rules.
Bark Dust by rfsmiley. 8k words, oneshot.
This one is just gorgeous.
It's Aziraphale's POV, set during the Saxon Wars. In battle, Crowley gets run-through with a blessed sword, and the effect is the same as being exposed to Holy Water, but much, much slower. So, you know. Agonizing. And neither he nor Aziraphale can heal it.
...I don't want to spoil anything, but. The way this is resolved actually made me stop and put my face in my hands. It's terrible and beautiful and poignant as fuck.
Highly recommend, with a content warning for gore/descriptions of makeshift surgery.
This Soul Outstreaming by Rend_Herring. 22k, oneshot (essentially a novella).
Okay I won't even front with you. This one is my favorite.
It's Aziraphale's POV, following their relationship across human history, in the style of the show. It's also absurd and wry and heartfelt in the style of the show. And, though it was written in 2019, elements of it predict Season 2 with an eerie degree of accuracy.
The through-line here is specifically the development of their physical intimacy, so, heads-up that this is absolutely Porn-With-Plot. But, in like a
kind of way. Quite literally. You can imagine.
I would also like some recs, if anyone wants to offer them! This is my bedtime reading, lately. xD

Sorry, but I need to say something I've been thinking about for a while. I found geto's death forcing. 1.he loses to a boy with no experience and the power of ''love''. 2.he was stronger and had more knowledge and experience than the boy yuta. 3. It seems that the author just wanted to get rid of geto so that this annoying villain Kenjaku could come. 4. In my opinion, Geto is the best villain. I don't understand why the author didn't want to continue with him. 5. His death was forced because Saturo already had a change in character and personality. What I'm trying to say is that in the film, Satura is already different, he's no longer that immature young man. 6. the serious work was much more dramatic if geto had survived saturo blow he would have become stronger and returned as a villain again with sukuna. Sorry if it's big, but I have these doubts that such a good and well-constructed character had a horrible ending and very little.
I get you, Anon. You have every right to feel that way.
Honestly, as someone who does enjoy Geto, I'll tell you right now that your first point reminded me why I have came to hate the word "fraud".
I really hate what fandoms have done now to that word because it's like that word is thrown at every single character.
Lately, I keep seeing people call Geto a "fraud" because he lost to Yuta, but I'm sitting here like "what the hell is he faking though"?
They really associate losing to being a fraud and it's ridiculous.
Look, I adore Yuta, I do. But let's not sit here and act like Yuta wasn't having a difficult time against Geto because he was.
"Why is Geto considered a Special Grade"?
I don't know, maybe because his technique literally can bring about chaos all over Japan as how Kenjaku used it after the Shibuya Incident? Maybe because he did in fact trained as the same as Gojo did during their school years?
"He doesn't even have a domain"!
Domains are literal trump cards in JJK. It's actually impressive Geto hasn't relied on one. And how do we know he doesn't have one? Just because he didn't use one doesn't mean he doesn't have one. It's like saying a person doesn't have a purple shirt just because you didn't see them wear one that day.
I just can't with people!
The thing that gets me about the whole Yuta vs. Geto fight is that is it expected that Geto would have lost, even more so when the story made it clear that Yuta was going to be a strong individual, but it's how people are reacting to it that annoys me.
Oh my gosh, yes, he lost to a 16-year-old. A 16-year-old who happens to have an insane amount of cursed energy and a bond with the "Queen of Curses", and ooh! He's related to Gojo!
People saying this like it's a brand new concept and just to rag on Geto fans. Why though? You... you cannot be that bored! Yuta is written to be an overpowered character, while Geto was not.
Now, I could be wrong about this. But I feel like Geto was written to be a character that "haunts the narrative" much now just Toji does.
Geto, to me, is an interesting villain and I actually would have loved to see the years of from how he started his cult at 17 to an adult.
In relation to Kenjaku, that just reminded me of a post I saw that pretty much bashed Geto and praised Kenjaku. Now, the JJK villains, I enjoy them all to an extent, I do. And as such, it gets me sometimes how some Kenjaku fans (not all, folks, chill) will bash Geto like he's the worst and even as far as calling him ugly when... Kenjaku literally wanted to merge humanity with Tengen... for a laugh. Kenjaku has done some heinous things, too, come on. And going as far as to calling Geto ugly is funny when Kenjaku is walking around with his face.
Like, Kenjaku actually seeked out to use Geto's body. Not any of the other Special Grade sorcerers or anyone else. His technique was useful for Kenjaku and let's not forget that because of that face and that voice, Kenjaku put the Strongest Sorcerer in a box.
I won't lie, I'm actually intrigued how the plot would have been like if Geto survived and came back later for some more villainy. Him in Kenjaku's spot would be different... but that's a different I gotta see!!

I am perfectly normal about the Psychonauts timeline
Spoiler warning for...everything.
As I was playing Psychonauts 2, I had a vibe that Ford and the Psychic Seven were active during the late 1920s, early 1930s, mostly because of the Model T Ford in Cruller's Correspondence, but also because of the biplane in the diorama of Ford fighting Maligula from Fatherland Follies. But there were some issues with that - namely the Feel Mobile which resembles more a model of van released around 1964. I feel compelled to mention it looks like the Motherlobe is trapped in the 70s, technology-wise.
So I looked up the timeline on the Psychonauts fandom wiki, as well as the blurb from Psychonauts about the history of Whispering Rock. And while clicking through the wiki, I found a copy of the Li-Po document, which contains the following line:
[...] when [Ford Cruller] was [...] away fighting for the Lincoln Brigade in the Spanish Civil War [...]
Firstly, based.
Secondly, that means Ford had to be at least 16* by 1937 (when American volunteers were sent to Spain). At least if we are to believe that this...very specific part of the Li-Po document is still canon. Which...I mean, we could. We know Ford was already an adult when he assembled the Psychic Seven, but we don't know how old he was. From the looks of him in the mental vaults and illustrations, he was definitely older than 16 (considering the full moustache). Meaning that it is possible Ford spent his younger years fighting in the Lincoln Brigade, then when he matured started looking more into his and others' psychic powers.
Possible? Yes. Plausible? Ehhh...considering the story of Psychonauts 2 is deeply tied to the trauma the Psychic Seven endured surrounding the Grulovian Civil War then the Deluge of Grulovia, I doubt that Ford's previous involvement in a very bloody battalion (22.5% of Lincoln Battalion fighters died in the Spanish Civil War) would have gone unmentioned. Since it makes no appearance in Psychonauts 2, I think it's safe to say it's no longer canon.
So where does that leave us? With the only statement from the devs (specifically Tim Schafer himself) that points us towards a date for the game's events:
"We think of it as taking place in the 80's but not necessarily the 80's, in case we need a piece of technology that we're stealing from the 90's."
So...that leaves us with a year range of 1980 to 1999. However, if technology is an issue (specifically, taking place during the 80s but needing some tech from the 90s), that means the game probably takes place in the late 80s, early 90s. I interpret this as being between 1987 and 1993. So, we've narrowed it down! Based on my arbitrary definition of "late" and "early"!**
Is there any way to narrow it down further? Unfortunately, not from what I can find - the tech we see in the Motherlobe is more reminiscent of the 60s and 70s (the computers we see on peoples' desks and in Sasha's lab look akin to a Xerox Alto, which came out in 1973), and I don't know enough about the history of other technology we see in-game to infer information about the timeline. If someone else has knowledge about things I may have missed that point us towards a date, please reblog and let me know!
Now, before I get into what I see as the timeline, I do want to address Maloof's line when you release him from the GPC.
"Nah, the staff hasn't put any kids in the GPC since the fifties."
Which goes against the timeline written on the log in the parking lot (which states that Whispering Rock Summer Camp was only created 5 years ago). I'm leaning more toward the written lore, since it's entirely possible Maloof is misinformed. After all, this is his first time at the camp. So! On to the actual timeline - at least, what I think it is. Starting from the beginning and working our way to the present day. I will represent the dates as a range, so "1987 - 1993" means "between 1987 and 1993." It doesn't mean that whatever event took place took that long, just that it happened at some point within that range. Good? Good! Let's go.
Brick's Speculative Psychonauts Timeline
1487 - 1493: A psitanium meteor strikes the area that will eventually be known as Whispering Rock, leaving behind a psitanium deposit.
1787 - 1793: A local indigenous group starts working with the psitanium, creating the arrowheads found in the first game, and names the area Whispering Rock (just, in their language, not English)
1887 - 1893: The mining town of Shaky Claim is established as part of the gold rush, except they're mining for psitanium. The psitanium deposit severely worsens the mental health of the people there.
1888 - 1894: The first case of 'Paranormal Hysteria' diagnosed in Shaky Claim.
1912 - 1918: Houston Thorney constructs Thorney Towers Home for the Disturbed. Ford Cruller is born.
1927 - 1933: Houston Thorney commits suicide. The town's population is less than the amount of patients in Thorney Towers.
1932 - 1938: Thorney Towers Home for the Disturbed is closed but some patients still remain. The remaining residents of the valley leave and the area is flooded, resulting in Lake Oblongata.
[At some point, Ford assembles the Psychic Seven]
1967 - 1973: The Psychic Six fight Maligula. Grulovia is flooded then trapped below the frozen floodwaters. Helmut Fullbear is presumed dead. Shortly thereafter, Ford uses the Astralathe to modify the memories of Lucretia and Augustus, then to break his own mind.
[At some point, Charlie Psycho Delta is established then swiftly abandoned]
1982 - 1988: Whispering Rock Summer Camp is established.
1987 - 1993: The events of Psychonauts, Psychonauts: The Rhombus of Ruin, and Psychonauts 2 take place all within about a week (and that's being generous).
So there! That's what I think the timeline is. Again, if you have any feedback or want to point out something I missed, please let me know! I'm new to the games/lore/fandom so 'tis entirely possible!
The implications of this timeline are...interesting. The fact that during the fight with Maligula, something that was supported by multiple countries, they're using planes from the 1910s when it's at least 1967...the world of the Psychonauts isn't less technologically advanced - they have a jet that rivals ones from 2024! So I have no clue what that biplane is doing in Gristol's memory of the fight with Maligula. Unless we consider Gristol an unreliable narrator for that detail - but even then I'm unsure why he wouldn't have assumed they were using modern technology...? IDK. It's weird.

yes yes absolutely!! sometimes i am late and sometimes i just leave it in there so i can have it stay unread but anyway i try to respond and i appreciate everyone who sends them to me. i have historically been a oneshot writer so it's been nice also to get comments on wips!

oh shoot angstiest ending?? well i think i would say my supercorptober ficlet about memory loss of sorts might tick that (it ends kinda idk open but not bad, i will say)
but then there's also this one old soccer RPF i wrote that's more, idk, poetry than any real fic about one of them leaving lmao

the happiest ending? i mean all of them, i reckon. if they end up together or have a promise of together then they count lmao

surprisingly, i do not. what i instead do is just little spin through five fandoms at any given time and just confuse myself that way

unfortunately yes. twice now. once was for my victorious fic that was used for a 5th harmony RPF lmaooo
and then on thanksgiving weekend, the first chapter of Crepe AU was posted by an anonymous for a The Wilds ship (but my friends rallied to get it taken down so i didn't have to send a takedown form to ao3 while i was traveling home)
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
nope but that would be totally rad
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
i love fic writing group work so yes! i have a series of sad angsty women that i have with my best friend in my revue starlight fandom, and then, of course, @sideguitars and i have 'humans in the storeroom' (that reminds me it's my turn to write the next part smh)
i also like jumping into writing sprints or writing exercises with folks (like a round robin)
14. What's your all time favorite ship?
let's not do this, i shan't pick amongst my children
15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
so far all my wips are things i wanna finish and will do my best to finish. i have a couple of retired wips that will just sit in my ao3 forever and i have made peace with them, though.

i wanna say characterization, pacing, emotional resonance, and a simple and natural writing style maybe

sorry no can do i love them all because i wrote them and there are so many things i enjoy about them. but i will say that the writing events circuit i've done this past year (supercorp bigbang, bumbleby big bang, and swan queen winter solstice) are born out of a lot of labor of love and i'm really proud of the work i've done for them.
and not for a writing event, but i am also extremely proud of re:live for mayakuro fandom-- that one makes me think that if i never wrote for that fandom again, that that's a really good fic to end on)

Hi, hello, I'm still here. Life and side-tracking happened a lot and, lately, my only online presence was some reblogs. Nonetheless!! It made me really happy to see that I've been tagged in this wonderful tag game by @inkoherentwriting and @dirty-bosmer and @blossom-adventures Thank you so much and sorry it took me this long to actually do it!

100,271 (oh!! I didn't realize I hit the 100k word count before doing this!)
3. What fandoms do you write for?
The Elder Scrolls and Dragon Age so far, but I would love to expand that list, and I have my eye on a few fandoms (looking directly at One Piece)
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
I only have six fics, and I don't really like looking at the statistics because it makes me terribly sad and unmotivated.
5. Do you respond to comments?
Yes!!! Comments are everything to me. It may take some time to respond, but just know that I read the comments as soon as I get the email notification and I reread whenever I feel self conscious about my fics (which is *very* often lmao)
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
My longfics are not finished yet, but if you read chapter 15 of WYGTYA, then you'll know which one will have the angstiest ending Spoilers: it's Hymn of the Highs Seas, it's prequel. Author's note: WHAT HAVE I GOTTEN MYSELF INTO, I AM SO EMOTIONALLY ATTACHED TO THE PIRATES. But I *will* find a way to make it as satisfying an ending as possible, and it will most definitely have a fluffy/bittersweet epilogue. HOTHS will not be sad, I promise!
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
After all the shit I'll put Ravonna through, she deserves it the most, so WYGTYA, probably! Also, my Ralof/Hadvar fic has a really happy ending, if ya know what I mean :)))))
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not yet. I have this wonderful small community of dear readers and they're the most awesome people in the world <3
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Smut is not really my thing, so no. The most I'll do is imply.

No, but I think it would be a very nice experience! I've spoken to a few beloved mutuals about crossovers in which Ravonna meets their ldbs, and I have an idea in mind where I could write a few chapters, each of them exploring Ravonna accidentally teleporting into their ldb's world, but it's still just an idea at the moment :)
14. What’s your all-time favourite ship?
That I've written? I don't know if I can choose because I love them all, but Rumcurio and Ralof/Hadvar are incredibly underrated ships in the TES fandom and I wish they had more content!
Fave ship of all time? Well, right now I am watching Jujutsu Kaisen and I am, of course, having satosugu brainrot. They could have had everything :(((( So beautifully tragic, this one. The fix-it fanfics are amazing, too! But if I had to pick just one ship to be my favourite, I think I'll go with the ineffable husbands because 6000 years of pining is just exquisite <3 <3
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
A very sad and romantic reincarnation AU of WYGTYA where we get to see many versions of Ravonna through the ages! I say romantic, but knowing myself, it won't be super sappy. It's Ravonna that we're talking about here :))
16. What are your writing strengths?
I would say that dialogue, and banter in particular. That's what flows the easiest to me, and I think that is how I'm able to express a character's traits and personality the best
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I believe there's room for improvement in all areas, but what I struggle with the most is angst, probably. I need to practice focusing on describing the character's feelings more. Also, politics. Crucial to the plot, but my mind never cooperates when I want to write politics.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue on another language in a fic?
If it's a few words, it's fine, I think it adds flavour to the chapter, but translations should be provided. However, I would avoid writing entire paragraphs in another language, that's just confusing to readers.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Skyrim! I wrote for the Tes Summer Fest event in 2022!
20. Favourite fic you’ve written?
I love them all very dearly, but hear me out!!! WYGTYA is my first baby, my longest fic and the thing that led me to start such beautiful friendships online. It will always have a special place in my heart! In my soul, there's a jewellery box dedicated to just WYGTYA, and it's all heart shaped and made out of love. Ravonna is by far my most developed oc, so much so that she feels like a real person sometimes when I think of her. She's even become a source of inspiration for me at times and her story with her fellowship will never fail to put a smile on my face. She's also such a big impact on my writing that I think she will become a blueprint for future stories that I write. Every story will have a Ravonna-type character, for sure. That's how much love I have for her!
But I started writing WYGTYA as a beginner, and I sense that I will go back to some of the earlier chapters and re-edit some stuff. Right now, the fic that I'm most satisfied of is HOTHS. It's still at 2 chapters (soon to be three), but I'm so excited about this project, and the characters are all ocs, and my heart is so full of love for them that it overflows! It's also a pirate story, and I always have such a weak spot for pirates. It also follows the storyline and plot twist that I'm most proud of in WYGTYA, all about Ravonna's lineage. Damn, I guess I have Ravonna to thank for this, too. I'm just really happy with this twist and canon divergence in Deathbrand's character. I feel like he has so much potential in the TES Universe, and I'm about to explore all that and more in this fic!

The first chapter ended hopeful and the second was sad xd Though, I wouldn't really say it's angsty! It's more to bittersweet I think. I have another lesser-known fic that has, not really angsty, but the ending was a little messed-up xD
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Most of my fics have happy endings since I usually write fluff.... I think...

And I rarely write smut because I'm shy (pfftt) The only ones I have was for tsunene and they were only making out;; another one is something that I just posted yesterday as a ficlet. 17. What are your writing weaknesses? I usually have a hard time to make my writing more descriptive. Sometimes they feel too bland u_u and since English isn't my first language, some of the dialogues don't sound natural and casual like I wanted it to be.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I never thought of this before and don't know if the fics I'll ever write have the settings for this xd
19. First fandom you wrote for? JSHK is what really got me into fanfiction. Before that I always have this impression that fanfics are usually /reader only, which I'm not really fond of (Should have discovered more!!) I started as an avid jshk fics reader, and never thought of writing my own to be honest! Love the fact that I tried <3 it's why I'm here.
20. Favorite fic you’ve written? Wahhh I think my most recent favourite is A beautiful heart like yours (is mine to hold), which is a fic I wrote for Tsunene Week 2023. I think it's my most well-written piece :') it's the only one that I don't get icky feelings when rereading it. Others are 'The Reason for Another Tomorrow', also known as codename: Bridge fic, and the first ever fic I've written for the fandom, If I Were The Moon, Would You Be My Sun?, which isn't my best writing but has a really special place in my heart <3

Sorry to bother you with this question but I don't really know anyone in FOB fandom. I'm not new here, but I do work an extremely busy job (I'm an ER nurse) so I am admittedly a bit lost on some things about this current tour. Like what is the 8 ball stuff, and do you happen to know any general set list for the shows? If you don't feel like answering, that's totally cool too. Major tourdust spoilers ahead! (of course)
I'm going to take this ask as a chance to explain all the setlist fun stuff in one spot, so here we go! The setlist has been consistent except for four main points, which I'll explain below. For ease, I'm going to be referring to Bonner Springs' setlist (6/24/23), so when I use numbers to refer to song placement, those are the ones I mean.
If you wanna skip ahead anon, magic 8 ball is explained in letter D :]
A. The first change in the setlist has only happened once and takes place 6th in the setlist, following 16 candles and preceding Grand Theft Autumn. It's usually Chicago Is So Two Years Ago, but has also been Homesick at Space Camp and Dead On Arrival (after their respective tour debuts as magic 8 ball songs). Songs 6-8 are played in a TTTYG themed section of the set every night.
B. The second change is slightly more regular and takes place 12th in the setlist. This song is often "The Take Over, The Breaks Over," but every now and then it gets swapped out for Hum Hallelujah, as well as Bang the Doldrums (after its live debut as a magic 8 ball song in LA). It was once swapped out with 7 Minutes in Heaven (Atavan Halen).
C. The third change is different almost every night, with only a couple repeats here and there. This is Patrick's section of the setlist, at track 15 after Fake Out, where he just plays one or two snippets of songs on piano (or sometimes acoustic guitar) before a shortened cover of Journey's Don't Stop Believin'. Oftentimes, if he plays two songs, one of them is from Fall Out Boy and the other is a cover of whatever he feels like. Often referred to as "piano medley" or just "medley." (Golden, What A Catch, Donnie, and What a Time to be Alive have been very popular relatively for this part of the setlist, sksk patrick)
D. The fourth and final change on the setlist is known as the "Magic 8 Ball" song and takes place after Hold Me Like a Grudge at track 23. This song is where Pete asks a "giant magic 8 ball" (a screen above the stage) what song they should play anywhere from their entire discography. Here's a video of him asking (the spiel is about the same every night). Each magic 8 ball song has been different for each show, with exceptions described in letter H. Some of these songs have never been played live before, some haven't been played in over a decade, some just haven't been played in a while or as often but they are a complete secret/surprise every night! Additionally, Pete has said that once a song has been played for the magic 8 ball section, it can appear elsewhere in the setlist at future shows. So, really, anything can happen.
Fall Out Boy has gotten even more unhinged lately, so here are a few more setlist changes.
E. As mentioned above, the piano medley usually ends with a cover of Journey's Don't Stop Believin'. Twice now, however, this song has been sacrificed for other songs: August 1st for Gym Class Heroes' Travie Mccoy being brought on stage (Patrick played part of Stereo Hearts on piano, then they all played Cupid's Chokehold) and again on August 2nd for Sweet Caroline (a Boston Red Sox/Fenway Park tradition). The Journey cover has been played every show since.
F. Up until recently, a cover of Ozzy Osbourne's Crazy Train has been played after Baby Annihilation and before Dance, Dance. Enter Sandman by Metallica seems to have replaced Crazy Train in the setlist as of August 5th. Sometimes referred to (by me) as the "metal cover."
G. The only song from MANIA to make it on the tour's setlist, The Last of the Real Ones, has been cut from the setlist for a second Magic 8 Ball song (occurring right after the first Magic 8 Ball song). At first, it seemed like it was cut only for the duration of Patrick's sickness or for noise curfew, but it has not yet returned as of August 5th. It was a part of the "permanent" setlist up until July 29th, when it was last played.
H. As mentioned in letter G, a second Magic 8 Ball song has been added to the setlist every night since July 30th (Toronto, ON). The following cities have gotten two Magic 8 Ball songs:
LA, CA (July 2nd and 3rd) - first sold out show of the tour, Pete's home
Toronto, ON (July 30th) - only date in Canada
Forest Hills, NY (Aug 1st) - possible nod to the Hella Mega Tour dates that the band were unable to play due to a COVID-19 exposure
Boston, MA (Aug 2nd) - possible nod to the Hella Mega Tour dates that the band were unable to play due to a COVID-19 exposure
Darien Center, NY (Aug 4th) - possible nod to the Hella Mega Tour dates that the band were unable to play due to a COVID-19 exposure
Camden, NJ (Aug 5th) - they're probably just having a lot of fun doing spontaneous songs at the end of this leg! <3
For each double magic 8 ball night, the first one is a new song (one not yet played on Tourdust before, regular magic 8 ball rules apply) and the second is a repeat magic 8 ball song (any of the previous ones).
I. Spontaneous covers such as Shipping up to Boston and Coffee Mug have also appeared once each without cutting other songs in their place. The former was a nod to Boston and the latter a tribute. Really, just be prepared for anything at all times.
Extra fun note: The official setlists have the mystery song written in code, mostly using the NATO phonetic alphabet by abbreviating either the song's title or a key set of lyrics (GINASFS was written as "Golf" on the first setlist, Of All The Gin Joints in All The World, commonly referred to as Gin Joints, had the code name "Gamma Juliet," while Fame < Infamy's code name was "Bravo Whiskey Papa," referring to the lyrics "better with (a) pen" in the song)
Basically, they've been talking about having some of that old pre-fame ~scene rock show~ vibe where everything was spontaneous and they played til the cops showed up. It's a taste of going back to their roots and giving the fans what they want (and having a ton of fun while doing it!)

Summary
You only started dating Carl for about 2 months. That was right around the time when he and Dom broke up. Deep down, you knew you couldn't compete with her. He would always choose her before you.
Yet you were only 16 years old when you discovered he got you pregnant. This news terrified you so much. You didn't want to lose him, and you knew he was already going through so much shit stuff with his family and his "business."
Better yet, you were scared about how your family would react, let alone his. At least you have Debbie, your best friend, who's also pregnant with you.

At the Gallaghers house.
As I placed my school stuff down, I heard strange noises coming from Carl's room. I slowly snuck my way in there.
I opened the door knob to find Carl... Crying?
He quickly whipped his face. "Don't you know how to knock!?" He yelled.
"The he*ls going on Carl?"
He stayed quiet.
"Carl! Tell me! Why the he*l did you sit with Dom during lunch? You said you'd tell us everything you've learned?!" I stepped closer. "So, did you learn anything?!"
He took a moment to breathe before spilling everything.
"So apparently Dom's pregnant... with my kid. That night was what did it." He said with teary eyes. "I fu*ked up, Debs. I didn't want this, I swear."
My mouth just dropped. I didn't even know what to say. I wasn't even mad anymore. How could I be? I mean, I was but my little brother with tears? That never mixes.
"What should I do?"
"I-uh." I took a breath. "I think you should tell everyone and I mean everyone, Carl."
"WHAT! No, I-I can't Y/n will hate me! Forever! She'll never give me another chance! She'll leave me with my kid a-and I Can't Have That!"
He was clearly panicking. "Calm down, Carl." I took hold of his shoulders. "I know this is scary, but this is for the best."
"Now I'm going to call the family, including Y/n's, unless you want to?"
"Please don't."
"Look, Carl. We've tried keeping Y/n's pregnancy a secret, but the whole school basically knows, and we can't keep this secret forever. Eventually, everyone is going to find out. It's better to tell them now before it's too late. Now if you don't call everyone, then I will."
I grabbed my cell phone and started dialing Y/n's house number. Carl sighed and started dialing Dom's number.
Time skip!~
"HE DID WHATTT!" Fiona screamed.
"Fiona, please. It's not the end of the world." Debbie said rolling her eyes.
"Debbie, it's bad enough that you're pregnant, but Carl impregnating not one but two girls. That beats the cake."
Debbie sat down along with the rest of her family. Everyone waited for Y/n's and Dom's families to arrive.
A few minutes later, a loud bang came from behind their front door. Fiona indicated to Carl to get it. He gulped, then stood up and got the door.
There stood in front of him was an angry Dad holding a gun. Carl instinctively ran. "I told you, Gallagher!" He started chasing Carl around the house. "One fu*k up and you're done!" He yelled.
Everyone started chasing him. Fiona began panicking while Lip and Ian tried to get the gun away from the crazy cop. While Dom screamed at her father to stop Debbie was just sitting there waiting for Y/n and her family to arrive.
Then Frank came into the room.
"What's with all the-?!" BANG!
The gun then shot, barely missing Frank's right shoulder. With that, alongside the fact that a cop was in his home, he left without even questioning it.
Soon enough, everyone managed to calm Officer Winslow down, and what I mean by that is that the family, mainly Carl, was forced to agree upon helping his daughter through the pregnancy in any situation financially and mentally.
And Y/n wasn't even there yet to say anything about it, but once she arrived, she stumbled upon rambling families. Debbie greeted her with a smile as she guided her to sit. Y/n's two parents looked very distraught as a moment of silence arrived.
"So, if I'm being honest, I'm not surprised that Y/n got pregnant; however, I am pretty upset that Carl not only impregnated our daughter even though they have both been warned and told to use protection but he's also impregnated another." Spoke Y/n's mother.
"I'm sorry about that..." Carl looked down at his feet.
Carl had a weird relationship with Y/n's family, to say the least. Y/n's mother was never the biggest fan of Carl; however, she didn't want her daughter to be unhappy, and she knew that Carl could give her happiness no one else could. As she once was young and in love, she knew how horrible it felt when her own parents took away her first love, and she didn't want that for her daughter.
Meanwhile, Carl's and Y/n's father's relationship was like father and son. It was a little weird, to say the least, but Y/n's father had never been normal before. He was always doing something crazy, and that's what Carl liked about him.
"Well, the boy's sorry. I guess we should be rapping things up." Y/n's father started grabbing his coat.
"Now. Hold on F/n." Y/n's mom grabbed F/n upper arm and forced him to sit back down. "We just got here."
"Oh, come on, M/n! We've been through this thousands of times!" He looked towards Carl. "If the boy wants nothing to do with the baby, we can hand it. But if he wants to be in its life, that's even better. But overall, it doesn't matter. We'll always be there for all our kids and grandkids." He looked toward Y/n with a smile.
"Thanks, daddy." Y/n whispered.
"Ok, hold up. Let me get this straight. Carl impregnated two girls. You-" Lip pointed towards you. "And you-" Then he pointed towards Dom. "And you want financial and mental aid-"
"Basically, the whole package." Ian interrupted.
"Meanwhile, Y/n's family doesn't want anything at all?" Lip questioned.
"It's just we've been through this a thousand times before. Most of the time, the other parent never pays for child support, and we just figured, based on your situation, Carl just simply can't support both; to make things easier, since he's always been a family friend, we figured we'd just let him off the hook."
"And Y/n's ok with this?" Lip asked with a slight tone of annoyance. "Y/n deserves better. You do know that, right?" Lip looked towards Carl when he said that, even though he said it towards Y/n's parents. He was clearly very disappointed in his little brother.
"It's fine, Lip. We all agreed to this during the car ride here."
"Look, if you ask me, I think that y'all should just abort it." Fiona butted in.
"No one asked you, Fiona!" Debbie yelled, and surprisingly Carl joined in as well.
"Well then, I guess it's settled." Officer Winslow said as he got up. "Carl will be paying for my daughter's child support along with helping her with whatever she needs." He looked at Carl intensely. "I also expect you to get a lawful job the next time we speak, along with clearing your name and your future. For your family's sake."
With that, Dom and her dad left, along with Y/n's family.
"Well, that went better than I expected..." Carl said.
"Yeah, about that..." Debbie said. "Let's go to your room. You might wanna hear this in private."
Time skip!~
"Remember how I told you to gather everyone so we can talk about this?"
"Yeah...?"
"Well... When I called Y/n and told her parents, they were extremely pi*sed at you and felt really betrayed by you since they thought you would actually be good for their daughter... And the worst part is... Y/n wants nothing to do with you. Them saying all that earlier was just their nice way of putting it. She ended up crying horribly through the whole phone call when I told her about what you did, and well, let's just say that pushed her through the edge, and she no longer wants to be with you. She just didn't know how to tell you. She didn't want me to tell you but... I figured this would soften the blow, so it won't be that hard once she tells you herself... Sorry, Carl, are you ok?"
Carl's eyes once again started to tear up. He sniffled, "Yeah- sniff- I'm fine." He said with a fake man voice. " I mean- sniff- it's for the best- sniff- right." Slowly a tear drops down his eye.
"Oh, Carl." Debbie hugged her brother. "It'll be ok. I promise."
"How..."

Tagged by @lordoftherazzles and @i-did-not-mean-to (although compared to idnmt's 550+ fanfics this will look pretty sparse XD
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
14! One is a collection of a couple of short fics, the others are all stand-alones.
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
204,153
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Tolkien, pretty exclusively. I don't know many other fandoms well enough to be comfortable writing in them for now
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Burn Like Cold Iron takes first place for everything as my only long fic. Then How to Cope with a Middle Earth Bed Shortage, What Could Possibly Go Wrong?, Customer Service, and A Helping Hand.
5. Do you respond to comments?
Yes! There are a few here and there that slip through the cracks when I just don’t have enough spoons to reply, but I do my best!
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I write happy endings as a rule lol, so this is tough. The closest to angst might be Burn Like Cold Iron just because it will have some bittersweetness thrown in alongside the happy ending, but I definitely wouldn't call it an angsty ending.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Considering most of my fic endings are pretty equally happy, my favorite is The Floor Is Molasses, because I just want Boromir to be happy and hanging out in the Shire.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
A few times on FFN in the past. I’ve been lucky enough to avoid it almost entirely on AO3. Which is good bc it does not take much to make me cry 😂
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I have posted one (1) explicit fic and we shall NEVER SPEAK OF IT (I am easily embarrassed and it’s a miracle I posted it at all)
10. Do you write crossovers?
Nooooo, they've always intimidated me. Between all the canon characters and OCs I don't have room for anyone else!
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Oof I hope not
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
No, but I would be honored!
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
No, I haven’t done much more than brainstorm with fandom friends about plot points and stuff. But it sounds like fun and I hope I can cowrite something with one of my much more talented mutuals someday!!
14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
I haven’t been super obsessed with a ship in years, so this is a tough question, especially since I’ve been focused on OC pairings lately. I’ve been pretty into Boromir/Theodred lately (but it’s such a tragic pairing and my poor heart can’t stand it), but hmm...my all-time favorite?? I'm a big fan of Nina and Matthias from Six of Crows, and Katniss and Peeta from the Hunger Games, and OOH Jaime and Brienne from Game of Thrones! There that's the one. All-time favorite. I did it. Phew.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I fully intend to finish my one ongoing WIP, Burn Like Cold Iron, and beyond that I really don’t want to start a fic I don’t think I’ll finish.
But I’ve written bits and pieces of a Middle Earth murder mystery I was really excited about, and I don’t have high hopes for actually fleshing that one out. I’ve never plotted out a murder mystery and would need to do some hardcore planning and plotting and scheming for it first and my brain is just not there right now XD
16. What are your writing strengths?
Aaahhh I am not good at complimenting myself (my therapist made me compliment myself last week and I almost cried lol) but I think I’ve gotten pretty good at writing engaging dialogue. I also am happy with a lot of my OCs, especially in my all-OC fic Something Burrowed, Something Blue, although I want to keep working at developing more complex characters in the future.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
My writing speed. I’m so slow. So so slow. Dear lord.
That and detailed plots and worldbuilding. Basically I need to brainstorm more before I start writing, and get a better sense for where things are going and how they'll turn out.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I could probably throw some Italian into a fic without much trouble lol. But Tolkien languages like sindarin honestly intimidate the hell out of me- I will jump through SO many hoops to avoid it. I am a coward
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Warrior cats. I was 12 and submitted it to my English teacher for extra credit. I had no shame 😂
20. Favorite fic you’ve written?
It’s probably unfair to my other fics to say Burn Like Cold Iron since it’s so much longer than everything else I’ve written. So besides that one, probably What Could Possibly Go Wrong? I had fun exploring different characters’ points of view and sprinkling in lots of foreshadowing and dramatic irony for future plot points.

the bad endings on three words to last forever. i still like the angstiest one the most :'D

lmao like everything else idk i want them happy. i've written loads of fluff idk how to quantify which is the happiest.

only ever got a few nasty comments thankfully, so no, not really.

ehhhh at this moment i doubt i'll ever finish anything. maybe the lifeguard au? i was red-hot for the idea at first but then it kinda... fizzled out. kept changing. got ruined by pushy ppl lol. but maybe i'll get back to it one day bc i would love a nivannedy summer romance tbh.
16. What are your writing strengths?
uhm. characterization. dialogue. emotional shit? idk i think i do best when i have intimate moments with two people. tiny everyday moments and mundane shit. like that. if i get going writing sometimes flows super well and i think i can get consistently readable stuff done in one go. but that'd require getting going lol.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
action. i suck at action. i also suck at it in the way that i can't actually make myself start writing. i got way too co-dependent when i still had people excitedly participating in the process and now i sit here sad doing nothing :'D but anyway. writing action and having some self-discipline lol.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
depends very heavily on the context. in general i do think it should be all in one language for readability but there are exceptions. i've done it too lol but it was only like a line or two in finnish :'D
19. First fandom you wrote for?
diru, twenty years ago lmao, it's like a different lifetime. i only learned of the existence of fanfic at the ripe old age of nineteen lol but yeah it's still been so long now.
20. Favorite fic you’ve written?
asdjfngkn i can not choose between all of my children c'mon. uhm. am just gonna say the self-indulgent series bc it truly was so important to me for so long and i'm still devastated it ended. sigh. now i made myself sad again :'D
