people can keep coming up with angsty headcanons about why qPac passes out (crashes) so much- like he's got low blood pressure from not eating properly or he's exhausted from not sleeping properly- and I accept that
but to me he's just that one character in a kids movie that keeps getting injured as a gag. like he's just constantly tripping over roots and whacking his head off the ground, birds just constantly seem to drop rocks specifically on his head, people just keep inexplicably slamming doors into his face without realising it. qPac is just such a cartoon character to me I'm sorry

Hastur Sejanus, Luna Wolves 4th Captain
He is the reason I have "wh40k" written in my bio :) I absolutely adore him, even though he died before the start of Horus Heresy series. His representation in some novels like The Wolf of Ash and Fire by Graham McNeill or Misbegotten by Dan Abnett is just perfect, check it out

A world not yet calling itself Terra. The Western Front, 916.M2.
An experiment for me in a lot of ways - writing a different style, using canon NL characters, fitting them into a historical AU, using a twist ending. Done in part as a test run for an original vampire-related project that I'm considering setting in a similar time period. Enjoy! 🦇

🗡️ Pinned for Reference 🗡️
• Warhammer OC RP blog
Who is Lark?
• OC x Canon ahead
• Lark is a perpetual who’s home planet is Wisterium. Wisterium is a large hive world that serves as a trade hub for the Imperium, and was once home to the Primarch Ursa Major and the XXth legion.
Adopted and raised into an organization of female spies,—The Ladies of Wisteria—, Lark’s one purpose from a young age was to gather intel and remain inconspicuous whilst doing so; Usually via putting on a feminine and elegant exterior. This however did not bode well for Lark, who knew from a young age that he was different from his sisters, and not in fact a girl as he had been taught to believe.
After lots of ups and downs, rebellions and beatings, he eventually submitted to the life style his Order had wanted for him. For his induction into the LoW, he drank the blood of The Starcrawler, an ancient being living within the core of Wisterium. This is where he gained his perpetualism from.
The draw backs to his new power where greater than anticipated, however. The idea of immortality was not only daunting, but later on it would be noted that Lark would forget more and more of his past the longer he lived. His mind was not build to live forever. He started writing journals.
A few years after his induction ceremony, Lark was given his first assignment. Like so many of his sister’s before him, he had been assigned to a recently found primarch, Konrad Curze, The Dark King. His job was simple: Act as a servant whilst gathering information on the down low, and reporting back to the LoW on his findings.
Unluckily for the LoW, Lark ended up falling for the primarch, and it seemed the feeling was mutual. Konrad was the first person who ever fully accepted Lark as a man, and following the start of an unexpected relationship, he cut all ties with the LoW, and started working for Konrad Curze as ‘The Huntsman’.
The Huntsman’s job was primarily rooted in conducting assassinations and keeping an eye on anyone who got too close, whether it be politically, physically, or emotionally to The Dark King. Despite the importance of his job, Lark’s role in the military hierarchy wasn’t very high, and he primarily did his work covertly; To outsiders he was just Konrad’s personal servant.
This changed during the Heresy when Lark became an important figure head. At first, remained loyal to Konrad Curze, but he later switched sides and rejoined the Imperium. Eventually, after Konrad was cast out into space by Sanguinius, Lark betrayed the Imperium yet again.
He spent the rest of the Heresy at Konrad’s side, up until the primarch’s death. Afterward, he wandered the galaxy in search of a new purpose. Over time, he began to forget more of his past and history; he had lived so long all his memories began to meld together.
In the 40th millennium he is the captain of a small crew of rogue traders who travel the reaches of space exploring and doing freelance work. Over time, his healing factor has gotten much weaker, and he takes longer to regenerate; He lost his left arm to a Keeper of Secrets.
Despite everything, his reputation as a ruthless assassin continues to proceed him, albeit in rumors and legends of a one-minded Huntsman who always did his master’s bidding with glee.

✨Welcome✨
What is the Cat-Skull AU?
The Cat-Skull AU is a Warhammer AU including more characters and an expansion on both pre-existing & fandom lore. A lot of what we do here is just for fun, & it’s not a hardcore reflection of our understanding of the original lore; As a general note, if something has been changed or reworked it was done intentionally.
Includes
- Fun Extra Details
- More Primarchs & Legions (?!?!?)
- OC x Canon
- The general combined cringe of two teens having fun
- Art & writing pertaining to the AU, reposted from our personal blogs.
- 40k fanart & writing, also reposted from our personal blogs.

Hawker, as the creator of the one we shall not name less the [not young nope] year olds start a rave and riot.. You are undoubtedly, were, or atleast dabbled in the undertale community
So it got my two braincells thinking; What other fandoms are you a part of or invested in?
Based on incepere I would wager a guess at Saga of Tanya, perhaps wh40k, but please tell your starving fans if you indeed are within these!
Love from an anon- wait shit
PFFFFF I love the assumptions based entirely on Incipere but no, I'm not in either of those fandoms xD (Never even consumed anything wh40k related and only watched one episode of Tanya)
Honestly fandoms in general is something I haven't been interested in for a while. I'm just too invested in OC content and wish I could share more of it.
Going back to fandoms though ....Does...Does Digimon count? I've rediscovered my love for Digimon through the card game, though I haven't done anything in the fandom.

I know it's pry stupid to do crossovers with my own fan content but I've been reading up on wh40k stuff again and the idea of a cross-over with tech priests getting stranded and in my rimworld-verse and struggling to repair their ship and the archotech trio show up just results in the funniest fucking scenarios even if the archotechs keep all hush hush about what they are and just offer to help normally.
The tech priests are wafting incense around chanting and Randy's just like "are we going to fix it or have ritual sex in front of it?" and the tech priests are all "do you think that would help?" Luna would pass out from laughing

is there a reason you don't like 40k?
Tumblr media
It's not that I don't like it, per se, but the content just doesn't interest me (which is saying something because I usually love sci-fi stuff). I remember browsing the wiki back in like...2018? Maybe even earlier than that, and just going "wow this shit is depressing". Each article was sadder than the last. Everything was doom and gloom and that just isn't really my scene?
Fantasy is somewhat better, but there's doom and gloom with humor (rat people who think the moon is made of magic rocks [and they're right], four gods arguing over how to destroy the world, orcs who are literally just vegetable people, Everyone's English™️ which is funny in and of itself--); Fantasy seems to be at least aware that it's no small amount of absurd (and so do the fans, for the most part. 40K fans? Not so much, but then the particular type of Weirdo™️ I'm talking about often has a hard time identifying satire.). Also, WH40K has a lot of Fucking Weirdos™️ in it to the point where CA had to issue an official statement going "hey guys stop being fucking weirdos".
The art is cool, but you can keep the rest of it lmao

Two things: Personality-type things should be taken by people near you, so they're more accurate than the things you want the answers to be; and, all of those fandom-specific quizzes - fan-made ones, especially - need to work on their content.
Like, a WH40K 'Which of the Ruinous Powers Best Represents You" quiz'll have a question like, "Someone betrays your trust, do you..." and the answers'll be:
Chop off their head and offer it to the blood god!
Mix several incredibly hot spices - and a little bit of roach poison - into their food... as a gift!
Laugh at them behind their back because their betrayal was all part of your plans!
Fuck their mother/father and give them a child they can be proud of!
It's like... hmmm, I wonder which one of these is which?

Hey rev! How does it feel to (Finally) not only have an audience for your WH40K streams, but to actively be encouraged to do some?
I think I should attempt to keep long winded 40k discussions to 40k streams which do seem viable now. I know that some people come to streams just to watch games and I know I’ve missed important parts of some games because of 40k discussions. At the end of the day I don’t think that this looks the way y’all think it does. To me it looks like I have a overtly supportive fan base that just wants me to be happy more so than they want me to explicitly to talk about 40k which functionally is very similar but has broader implications for my respect for y’all. It seems as if there is a concerted attempt (a conspiracy if you will) to make sure I am happy. Thank you. I will honor this and attempt to make even better content for y’all.

More funny (annoying) parallels.
Just. Watch these fan vids on WH40K.
youtube
youtube
youtube
Now having watched those, I want you to imagine talking to somebody that casually blurts out, “Nah. I’m not really into WH40K. I don’t really care for franchises that celebrate imperialism and fascism.”
Under normal circumstances, if Id heard someone say that, I might be inclined to try to educate them. Explain, “No. 40K is not a glowing endorsement of theocracy, nor is it endorsement of imperialism, or monarchism, or fascism.”
Because if you actually like the franchise, read the lore, understand it from inside as someone that enjoys the franchise does, it is not a celebration of any of those things. Tongue in cheek examples of all those things twisted into a hellish mangle of intentions and hubris and covered in a muck of innocent bystanders, at best. It’s a gigantic sprawling tragedy of civilization going wrong and it’s all thanks to mad supermen with allegedly noble intentions and incredible ambitions.
But we’re in 2020. You can’t educate someone like that. It’d be like trying to defuse the situation of a Karen from declaring everything is of Satan and trying to corrupt the youth and everything is Blood Codes and hypersexuality and violence, by actually sitting one down and playing Mortal Kombat with them.
All you’d be doing is making them educated ignorant. Now not only do they know your franchise and the lore, but once they’re inside it and can speak from ideology from a place of being able to cite the lore they now suddenly know about, they can pretend to speak for the fandom about “how toxic the fandom is.”
Sometimes the greatest mistake you can make is to educate a person that wants to destroy you about what you’re really about. Because their reasons for hating you aren’t because of what you’re doing, but because you’re not doing it why and how and in the name of whatever god or godless principle they espouse should be the most important or most correct thing in your life.
So rather than add another fucking asshole to the list that might try and embrace a franchise I enjoy with their vitriolic shit, give them another toe-hold to grab ahold of and try to take away from the people that actually like it, give them another platform to climb on top of to produce absolutely god awful content all in the hopes of making their ideology palatable and internalized by the youth,
I let them be ignorant and wished them a good day.

I think that GW has a fundamental problem where the audience really needs something like Tolkien in space but they have adapted their parody of fascism setting to be mainstream instead of creating it. Like, at this point I think that the only artistically legitimate Wh40k is the early 1st edition and all the blanchitsu stuff, where Space Marines are basically ugly grotesque monsters. They may repeat "This is not aspirational" but the way they treat SMs, I just don't see it.
I don’t really like the blanchitsu style personally, just for myself it isn’t appealing or cool, so I differ there but I think you said something else which is actually really important;
The idea that SMs aren’t treated as ‘aspirational’ by Games Workshop, Black Library and the Fandom is bullshit, you’re right, and that’s actually a good point I haven’t touched on before.
Perhaps one of the easiest ways to tell that any amount of the lip service still to the ‘there are no good guys’ bent of the story is that there is no doubt that Space Marines are, by both canon and fanon, treated as aspirational.
The vast majority of fans who write about them revel in power fantasies and make clear a desire to ‘be’ Space Marines in 40k. The novels do this as well, almost all 40k novels depict Loyalist Marines as, almost invariably, the most laudable or desirable people. They are frequently even compared against other humans in the Imperium favourably. This happens in two primary ways;
Non-Space Marine humans are portrayed as stupid/irrational/insane/overly emotional/fanatical etc. aka the things we love to do where we act like one group is an ‘enlightened, amazing, rational people of progress’ (Space Marines) and the other people are ‘poor, pitiable, primitive, superstitious masses we must uplift’ (A LOT of characters who are not Space Marines in the Imperium).
The other way this happens is the non-Space Marine human is portrayed as morally pure, innocent and good...but utterly impotent, lacking in agency and, almost invariably, dying at the end. For reasons which are obviously systemic this category is made up almost 90% of female characters who are always ‘too good for this sinful galaxy and so lo, tragically, die so the Space Marine can engage in much man pain over his lost pseudo-love interest,’
Few people want to associate themselves with characters we’re constantly told are idiots/fanatics and nobody wants to be morally pure at the cost of having no agency or power in their lives. Space Marines are the only group who are consistently, and systematically, portrayed as something to aspire to be;
1) They are powerful, by far the strongest group in the setting and enacting the greatest agency and change with almost the entire story existing purely as a vehicle of their narratives
2) They are constantly affirmed as morally superior and correct in almost all of the contemporary content with little to no dispute of this ever being brought up within either the narrative or metafiction and even when groups arrive who would dispute it, such as T’au or Aeldari, these groups are almost always then, in their own story or by the fandom, made to have cartoonishly evil aspects to ensure they don’t actually threaten this percieved moral superiority
3) They are portrayed in most cases, bar a few exceptions, and all the most popular Chapters (Blood Angels, Ultramarines, Dark Angels, Space Wolves, the very common Thousand Sons Loyalist AU Chapters) as intelligent, rational, non-fanatical, non-superstitious, fountains of wisdom and calm and fair-handed rulership, contrasted with the Non-Space Marine Imperium which is portrayed frequently as basically a useless, moronic, parasite on the glory of the Space Marines.
You know...with this in mind I’m somewhat surprised more Imperium fans, not Space Marine one but just Imperium fans, don’t dislike their own treatement vis a vis Space Marines. That being said I imagine it is a rarity to find an Imperium fan who does not also either begin, or end up, as predominantly a Space Marine fan simply because of the content disparity.
