“We, the jury, find the defendant not guilty on the charge of murder in the first degree.”
Your fangs caught on your lip as you did your best not to smile. With the slightest turn of your body, you patted your client on the shoulder and congratulated him for getting off on murder. He was guilty as sin. You could practically smell the tainted blood coursing through his veins. It was abysmal; he was a horror to work with. Doubtless he would be murdered before he even left the courthouse.
His money was still just as good as anyone else’s.
The judge continued his usual spiel, the one you personally had heard many times over. Something about understanding the severity of the charges, how one must persevere to become more, to prevent such a situation from occurring again. She was getting much more emotional about the speech, putting more of a motherly spin on it. It was a lovely touch.
It wouldn’t work. But it was lovely.
“Don’t get yourself in too much trouble,” you said once the judge was finished and you could shake your client’s hand.
His smile was sinister. “I’ll be calling on you again.”
You made sure to show your fangs in your own smile. “I’ll be expecting it.”
The man gave you the creeps, more so than most of the clients you represented. Which was precisely why you allowed your shadow to escort him out of the courthouse to the freedom he had unjustly earned. You watched as he left with a smile that betrayed your actual thoughts.
If he called again, your rates would double.
“You did your job masterfully.”
You turned around, watching people continue to mill out of the courtroom. No one was facing you, not even the usual suspects. Even your best friend Detective Faus had already left. There was no one left to talk or discuss the events of the case. A pity.
Maybe it had been another hallucination; they were more frequent this time of year. Sounds of blood spilling, pouring down your throat like the first drink at the bar. The door opening, muffled words, wood splintering. The sounds made themselves known in your mind, drowning out everything else around you.
“Looking for someone in particular?”
No. No, that was no hallucination. You looked down to see a young man no older than 20 - though his spectacular mustache looked a bit old for him - standing beside you. It was no wonder you hadn’t noticed him, he was rather short. With a stunning crop of slicked back raven black hair, he reminded you of someone. Someone you did your best to forget.
“Thank you, mister…,” your voice trailed off.
“Pubert Addams,” he said with a charming smile as he held out his hand toward you. “Lovely to make your acquaintance.”
A wet gasp-
-a snarl-
-relief-
-pain-
“-A pleasure, Mr. Addams,” you said, grasping his hand as gently as you possibly could. “That’s a name I haven’t heard in a long while.”
“I believe you knew my sister and her wife in college, did you not?” He asked as he let go of your hand.
A breathy moan-
-airy laughter-
-a warm sigh-
“-Quite a long time ago,” you said, “but yes.”
“Yes, I knew it was you,” he said with a smile that was far too familiar. Eerily so. “Are you free for a short while?” He asked. “I have a proposition for you.”
You sighed and shifted the weight to your good leg. It left an ache that rarely eased, though certainly not for lack of trying. Thanks to the glasses, you were confident your distrust was hidden. It wasn’t that you didn’t trust the young Addams boy; he seemed decent enough. You had worked with enough sleazy people to know who to trust and who to be wary of.
There was just the little problem of not wanting anything to do with an Addams.
Though, you supposed you could give the boy the benefit of the doubt. After all, what would it hurt? If he was anything like Wednesday - and it was beyond clear he was - he would love the danger. The thrill of propositioning you would far outweigh the danger of having you near. A brave boy.
Just like his older sister.
“I suppose I have time,” you finally said with a toothy grin. “I’ll buy you a drink.”
“Oh, I’m not old enough to drink,” he said quickly as he fell into step beside you. Exactly like his sister.
“A coffee then,” you amended.
He had no objections.
His hands were shoved into his pockets as he walked out of the courtroom with you. The stench of rancid blood filled your senses before you saw the commotion outside. Your client’s body lay sprawled along the steps, his blood flowing from the tips of his fingers; no one dared try to stop the bleeding. At the bottom, the police were shoving the victim’s brother into their cruiser.
“An eye for an eye turns the whole world blind,” Mr. Addams said with a shake of his head.
You didn’t dare hide your smile. “A beautiful sentiment.” You continued to walk past the scene, not looking back to see if Mr. Addams was following.
His footsteps quickened their pace to match yours before he stood beside you once again. It was a short, silent walk to the little cafe you had started to call your own. The barista was a wonderful young girl; she had easily fallen victim to the vampire charm you did your best not to throw around. Though you were a little less careful nowadays, but that was your little secret.
“What can I get for you, sugar?” The young waitress asked once you sat down. She, too, had fallen victim to your supernatural charm.
“A quad?” You asked once Mr. Addams sat across from you at the little table in the corner.
“Heavens no,” he said with his own charming smile, “I’ll take a mocha, thank you.”
“An espresso, darling,” you said with a smile at the waitress.
Her cheeks flushed. “I’ll have it for you in a moment.”
You tried not to mention your surprise at the young Addams going against what his older sister had made seem like tradition. Or perhaps she had changed over the years; it was a possibility she had come to enjoy the sweeter things in life. After all, Enid certainly did, so it wasn’t entirely out of the realm of possibility. She always had been a lovestruck fool for Enid.
So were you.
You promptly ignored the thought.
“What is your proposition, Mr. Addams?” You asked as you continued to wait for your drinks.
“Ah, of course,” he said. He cleared his throat and sat up straight. “I would like to invite you to a soiree we happen to be hosting.”
“I’m nothing but a stranger to you,” you said simply. “What about me warrants an invitation?”
“My sister and her wife still talk of you,” he said. “Incessantly.” His smile was gentle; genuine. “I believe inviting you would make them happy.”
You didn’t grace that thought with a reply. If they still talked of you, that was their issue. Wednesday was certainly psychotic enough to desire your presence. Enid, also, could certainly be delusional enough. Seeing you again should bring them no sense of joy or peace; if anything, it should cause nightmares.
It didn’t matter that you often found yourself thinking of them in return. When you talked with clients who had a penchant for breaking the law, much like Wednesday. Committing their crimes guiltlessly for one reason or another. There was a difference in that Wednesday always had a good reason - even when you tried to make her believe she didn’t - but that could be easily overlooked when her cold brown eyes appeared in your mind.
And Enid was often seen in the young intern at your firm. Possessing a giddiness that was so often lost in people. Her colourful nails that you had been unable to forbid were like a flash of the past. The only difference was those nails were typing away at a computer instead of leaving scratches along your back. It was difficult, on occasion, to differentiate the two.
The waitress set the drinks on the table, giving you a wink and smile in the process. You smiled back, showcasing your fangs as she turned and walked back to the counter. If Mr. Addams hadn’t accompanied you, you would have flirted with the woman. Flashed a bit of cash, invited her home for a quick drink of your own before sending her back on her way.
You stirred your espresso for no good reason. At least it gave you time to think of your answer. Mr. Addams was gracious enough not to push. A wonderful change of pace from Wednesday, who would push until she regretted it. Which she had. Oh, she had, and you had all suffered for it.
There was no way you could tell Mr. Addams why you wanted to decline his invitation. If you even so much as hinted at the carnage you had caused, there was a high probability he would not only rescind his offer, but paint you as the monster you had already claimed for yourself. With good reason, of course, you hadn’t earned the title by sitting around.
On the other hand, just the mere thought of seeing Enid and Wednesday made your dead heart feel alive again. You had done your best to fill your nights with women. One after the other, never keeping them long enough to even learn their names. Each a new attempt to forget the two women who had taken your heart all those years ago. They never filled the hole; if anything, they made it bigger.
Perhaps…
“When is this little soiree of yours taking place?” You asked with a sigh, finally looking up from your espresso.
Now that smile was identical to his sister’s.
“I’ll fetch you the invitation.”
—---
You stood on the balcony of your apartment. Smoke curled around your fingers as the cigarette rested between them. The heat from the lit end was almost unbearable on your skin; it was a welcome feeling. City lights twinkled around you, creating constellations yet unnamed by the human race. Perhaps one day they would be prominent enough to fit in with the constellations of old.
It was the night before the soiree at the Addams residence. You had done your best to remain in control of your emotions the days leading up to it. Hell, you had even gone so far as to hire a few women just a few hours earlier to keep your thirst in check. You would rather receive a stake to the heart than risk another incident like the one that had created this situation in the first place.
And yet, even with all your preparations, you still couldn’t shake the feeling of impending doom that had carved a home into the center of your chest.
The balcony door slid open.
“You coming back, baby?” The woman asked.
It was a shame you didn’t remember her name.
“Come on, baby,” she said, and you felt warm arms wrap around your waist. “I know you want another drink.”
You did. God you did. Just the thought of another drink left your throat searing. You tried to swallow, but all it did was burn like liquid fire trickling down your throat. With a sigh, you lifted the cigarette back to your lips and inhaled. If you were going to be in pain, you may as well finish off your cigarette.
“I’ll be there in a moment,” you said with an exhale that left smoke falling from your lips.
The warmth left your waist as she went back inside, and you heard her talking to… the… other woman. God, you really needed to learn the names of the people you drank from. If anything, it was the least you could do; it was polite. But you didn’t particularly care. All you knew was they weren’t Enid, and they weren’t Wednesday.
You were pathetic.
You took one more drag of your cigarette, feeling the heat burn the skin on your knuckles. The thick smoke left the taste of ash on your tongue and did nothing to ease the scorching pain in your throat. You dropped the cigarette butt to the ground and stepped on it with your heel. You hissed when it singed your heel; you had forgotten you were barefoot.
If you had possessed any sort of soul, you would have felt guilt. There was something tugging on your invisible heart strings, begging you to care about the women you were surrounding yourself with. No, that wasn’t accurate. It wasn’t something tugging at your heart strings; it was two voices that had haunted you for years.
They single handedly ruined your night. With no shame and no clue that they had even done so, they had ruined it. The women around you weren’t the right women. Their skin was soft, but it wasn’t the same. Their freckles were in the wrong spots, and their nails and hair were the wrong colour. Each and every moan was the wrong tone, and these women just weren’t right.
It was a struggle, but by the time the night was over, you had more than gotten your fill. There was no possible way you would still be thirsty by the time you made it to the Addams residence. Though that didn’t stop you from grabbing a blood bag from the fridge and tucking it into your pocket before you left your apartment.
You stopped by the mirror in your hall to make sure you looked alright. It was custom made to not contain any silver, allowing you to see at least a semblance of your reflection. It wasn’t perfect, but it was like looking at someone through water. A little blurry, slightly distorted, but you could tell it was a person.
Your eyes were drawn to the dark scars that weren’t entirely hidden by your shirt collar. The majority of the scars were hidden, but not those. They were a stark contrast on your neck; a stark reminder of your monstrosity. Subconsciously, you lifted your hand to run your fingers over the taut flesh. They still ached.
Teeth ripping through flesh. You could hear the blood pumping from the wounds, pouring out over your hands as you tried desperately to stop the flow. Your own blood cascaded down your throat, erasing any satisfaction you had previously received.
You could still smell the blood. It made your mouth water.
You still wanted more.
You recoiled as if burned. Out of all the times you could have that memory, this wasn’t the optimal day. It didn’t require any consideration before you walked back to the fridge and grabbed a second bag, placing it right beside the first within your jacket. You had one shot; you weren't going to blow it.
It was a beautiful day outside as you approached the Addams mansion. The sky was overcast, almost allowing you to take your glasses off. Not that you would have, but it would have been a nice option to have. Large groups of people made their way up the steps and into the mansion. It truly was a stunning building; you had missed it.
You fell into the back of a group, ensuring you were silent and could walk in unnoticed. Yes, of course someone would notice eventually, but you wanted a chance to settle back into the excessively large house. The smell of the slightly-rotting wood was enough to ease your racing pulse. It smelled like home.
While everyone continued to slowly make their way into the ballroom, you went the opposite direction. Your hand trailed against the walls, maneuvering around each and every item that was hanging. The paintings and knick knacks and more recent looking photos. Some were new, or at least newer than you. They certainly hadn’t been hanging on the wall the last time you had visited.
The idle chatter of the crowd started to fade the further you went. The hallway turned into a slightly larger room filled with framed photos and awards. You let your fingers hover over the nameplates on the awards. Spelling Bee, First Place. A smile tugged at your lips as you moved on. Silver, Figure Skating. Down and down the line, you looked at award after award. There were names underneath, but you didn’t waste your time looking at them.
After the awards were the photos. You picked up the first one with gentle hands; a wedding photo deserved care. It was no surprise to see Wednesday in black and Enid in something so bright it was almost blinding. The image alone had your chest aching. They looked rather happy.
Their happiness didn’t distract you from the scars down the side of Enid’s face. The ones that traveled from the corner of her eyes to her jaw. Based on the colour in the photo, they were freshly healed. You couldn’t see Wednesday’s; she had a black lace wrapped around her wrist. From the look of Enid’s, you could imagine.
You set the frame back down on the table and stepped back. The curiosity had disappeared, quickly replaced with something heavy. With a tight chest, you backed out of the room and made your way to the ballroom with everyone else. The slight limp in your step worsened. A sigh fell from your lips as you had to lean against the wall and reach down to tighten the brace. Your jaw clenched almost painfully as the brace became insufferably tight around your leg, but at least it gave you the ability to stand on your own once again.
Until you were nearly knocked over by children running down the hall.
“Excuse me!” One of them called back. A chorus of the same words were quick to follow as the other children ran after the first.
“Behave!” You froze. “And don’t push people!”
“Yes ma’am!” The children shouted.
If you had known you would have such a visceral reaction just to her voice, you wouldn’t have accepted the invitation. You had no idea your body itself would react to her voice. If you could sweat, you would have been. Your fingers twitched. Don’t turn, your mind told you. Begged, even. Desperate, feral, pathetic.
“Cara mia.” You forced yourself to take a step. “You forgot your shawl upstairs.”
Don’t turn around, your mind said. It was frantic. You forced another step. And another. Each one heavier than the last, as if your body was fighting with your mind. You truly were a fool to accept the invitation, and there wasn’t even a word to describe yourself for actually daring to appear. Stupid. That was the best word.
“Are you a vampire?”
You sighed and took a moment to calm your emotions before looking down. One of the children that had been running around was now standing beside you, looking up at you with bright eyes and a cocked head. It reminded you of- no, you wouldn’t think of that. You turned to face the child and shifted your weight to rest on your good leg.
“I am,” you said with a singular nod of your head. “And you are?”
“Oh,” they said with a smile. A large, wolfish smile. “I’m an Addams.”
You were thankful they couldn’t see your eyes. “Charmed.”
Of course they were an Addams. How could you ever think differently? The Addamses were magnets for trouble, and you didn’t have to know the child to deduct that they were, in fact, trouble. You turned away from them and looked back out into the ballroom.
“My mothers have a picture of you on their nightstand,” the child continued.
You wished they would leave.
“But you have scars, and the person in their picture doesn’t.”
You would have no shame in killing a child.
“My momma has scars too.” It would be simple. “They almost match yours.”
“Don’t harass the guests, dear.”
Or perhaps you would simply kill yourself. It would certainly be less painful than whatever was about to happen. You could hear the echo of your dead heart beating loudly in your ears. Perhaps if you refused to turn around, she would continue walking. Walk right past you and into the crowd, leaving you behind as you so very much deserved.
But she didn’t continue walking as you desperately wished she would. She didn’t move out into the crowd, saying her greetings to the others as was customary. You could barely hear her footsteps at all above the incessant noise that you were wishing would get louder. Drown out all the thoughts and emotions bubbling up inside you.
“We weren’t sure you would come.”
You still refused to turn around. Even when you felt her sidle up next to you, her arm brushing lightly against yours. Oh, her warmth was glorious. You had forgotten just how lovely it was to feel her warming you up. To bring life to your soul in a way that only she was capable of. No amount of women in your bed had ever held a candle to her warmth.
“You look good.” Her voice was impossibly soft against the rising chaos of the soiree.
Growls and screaming echoed in your mind’s ear as you finally made the brave - or stupid - decision to turn your head. If you had thought your anxiety was bad before, you would have been impressed with your anxiety at that moment. The first thing your eyes took notice of were the healed, lightly coloured scars on her jaw.
The scars you had caused.
“You look healthy,” Enid said with a soft smile.
She looked so very grown. That childish glint in her eyes was still present, but she held herself with far more respect. The insecurity had long faded away, much like the scars that continued down her neck. The child was right; you almost matched.
“I fed before arriving,” you said. Your words felt like ash in your mouth. “No need for history to repeat itself.”
“We have more in the kitchen,” she said quickly. “If you need it.”
You opened your coat to show the two bags in the pocket. “I came prepared, thank you.”
She smiled a closed mouth smile and nodded before looking back out at the ballroom. That heavy feeling settled in your chest once again. After so many years, that was all you had to say to her? That you had fed already? Of course, that was probably the one thing she wanted to hear after so long. You were a fool. A damned fool.
“I hope the kids weren’t bothering you,” Enid said. “They get excited when we host gatherings.”
“They seem decent,” you said. Decent?? That’s the best you can come up with? “That one-” you pointed to the one with the bright eyes -is rather talkative.”
Enid giggled, and for a moment, you felt young again. “Willa says she gets it from me.”
Willa. You could have laughed if it didn’t hurt so bad. Wednesday had always attempted to claim she hated it. Yet it never stopped the lightest blush on her cheeks when you or Enid would use the unassuming nickname. When was the last time you had even heard it?
Come on, Willa, put it down, I’m being serious.
You turned your body ever so slightly. You didn’t want Enid to see the scars creeping down your neck. Her hand brushed against yours. It was shameful how quickly you pulled your hand back, shoving it into your pocket. No good could come from her feeling the shake of your hand, or the scars that hid below the cloth of your clothes.
“Oh, there she is,” Enid said, this time reaching out to grab your arm a little harder than she probably meant to. “Stay right here, I’ll bring her over!”
The moment she left your side, the cold started to crawl back over your skin. It sunk into every vessel, every inch of your body, both inside and out. Attending the soiree was a mistake. A mistake that you couldn’t take back. Just like that night. Perhaps it wasn’t too late. You could leave before they came back and continue your miserable existence as you had been.
But then you saw them together, hand in hand. It was an unexpected thing to see Wednesday practically smiling at Enid. In public, that was. You couldn’t recall a single time she had smiled at anything in public. Yet there she was, walking closer and showing some semblance of physical affection in public. It was stunning. Your heart was almost beating.
Until your eyes landed on all the black lace that you knew covered scars no one could comprehend.
“I told you I saw them,” you heard Enid say as they both approached where you were frozen in place. “And I was right.”
Wednesday looked up at you with those stunning brown eyes. “So you were.”
Your fingers twitched in your pocket. Now that she was so close, you could smell her blood flowing through her veins. No matter how much you swallowed, you couldn’t ease the burn that was rising up your throat. You clenched your jaw tight, ignoring the sting of your fang piercing your lip.
Wednesday!
You didn’t know what to say. What could you say? “Hello Wednesday, I’m sorry for nearly draining you while you attempted to prove I wasn’t a monster.” Or even to Enid. “I apologise for trying to kill you when you stopped me from killing our girlfriend.” There was nothing you could say, to either of them, to justify what you had done. What you couldn’t forget.
“I told them you had their picture,” the previous child said as they approached along with the rest of the herd.
For the first time, you were thankful for children.
“So you told our secrets?” Wednesday asked. “You know what happens to those who tell our secrets.”
The old Wednesday would have sounded more intimidating and borderline threatening. Yet, even as her words said one thing, the soft look on her face said another. The children all smiled and tried to hide their laughter as they continued to look up at her.
“You’d better run,” Enid whispered.
Each of the children shared a look before running off, laughter following in their wake. It was almost… cute? Adorable, even? God, you needed to escape this place, you were almost turning soft. You needed to get back to your murderers and criminals, this was turning pathetic.
“As intimidating as ever, my love,” Enid said as she leaned down and placed a soft chaste kiss on Wednesday’s cheek.
It made you sick. The burn in your throat spread, turning into a searing pain in your chest and stomach. All that was left was the tingling in your fingers and legs and you were finished. You wished the inferno would swallow you whole, reducing you to nothing more than ash and bone.
“You seem pale,” Wednesday said.
It seemed you wouldn’t combust soon enough.
“I only arrived out of courtesy,” you said as you stood taller. “Now that I have said my hellos, I must say my goodbyes.”
You tried to act like the looks on Enid’s and Wednesday’s faces didn’t kill you inside. It was like a silver stake to the heart, spreading its carnage down every muscle fiber and blood vessel. After all these years, you had managed to hurt them again within only a few moments. And you didn’t even possess the decency to apologise for the first sleight against them.
“Do you have to?” Enid asked. “You could stay.” Her eyes fell. “We could talk.”
“Did Enid tell you we have more blood in the fridge?” Wednesday asked.
She circled her fingers around her lace-covered wrist.
“I don’t do house calls,” you said. You could hear Wednesday’s pulse over the crowd. “Especially with those I cannot pay penance to.”
And yet, you didn’t make a single move. Against your better wishes, your feet stayed glued to the floor. Each beat of Wednesday’s heart was enough to have your mouth salivating, yet you couldn’t leave. A memory popped into your head of Enid almost seeming disappointed that her blood wasn’t appetising to you. It was a fond memory, one you replayed often enough for it to seem like a core memory of your relationship.
“You could stay,” Enid said.
“We can go somewhere quieter,” Wednesday continued.
You didn’t want to go somewhere quiet, you wanted to go home. You internally scoffed at the word; you didn’t live in a home. It was just a building, with four walls and a new blood bag or two every night. You barely lived in it, instead opting to spend all your time in your office where nothing could remind you of the two women standing in front of you.
They were your home.
“Please?” Enid asked softly. Almost too softly. Even with your enhanced hearing you could barely discern the words over the jazz band that had started playing.
You sighed. Would it truly hurt to spend a few moments with them? To give you some semblance of normalcy that only they could provide? After all, you could see the muscles underneath Enid’s skin. If you truly lost control, surely she could stop you. She had stopped you before.
The scars reminded you of it every day.
“Very well,” you said with a slight nod.
Enid was the one to reach out and grab your hand, pulling it out of its pocket and linking her fingers with yours. Her nails dug into the back of your hand, drawing out a sting that was a welcome distraction. The ache in your throat was ever present as Wednesday walked right beside you while Enid led you out of the ballroom.
The hustle and bustle of the ballroom slowly faded into oblivion as you were led down the corridors of the Addams mansion. You could recall memories from each room you passed. Each with their own story to tell. Stories of stolen kisses, scandalous rendezvous, silent moments with the women you loved, but together and separate.
When Enid stopped in the kitchen, you would have laughed had it been under any other circumstance. It was clear they had the same thoughts on their minds when Enid sat you down and Wednesday retrieved a blood bag from the fridge. She placed it between you and her when she sat opposite you at the table.
How comical.
They both stared at you with unwavering gazes. What was going through their minds, you wondered. Were they feeling the same way you had? Broken, anxious about fucking up, convinced you had blown your chance? Or perhaps they were waiting for you to break and recreate what had happened on that fated night all those years ago.
You sighed when you deduced they wouldn’t speak first.
“You both look well,” you said in a croaky voice that, if they were wise, was indicative of the state of your instincts. Think of something else to say. “Are all those children yours?”
Think of something less ridiculous.
“Yes they are,” Wednesday said simply, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. It was almost condescending; you loved it.
“Pubert said you’re a lawyer?” Enid asked.
“Defence attorney,” you said with a nod, “yes.”
“Is it, ah, fun?” She asked.
You sighed. If the entire night was going to go along those lines - awkward and uncomfortable, tip toeing around every word - you would rather leave. Not a single positive thing could come from such a conversation. It was talking for talking sake. You all hated small talk, that was something that you knew had never changed, yet there you were, struggling to find any sort of conversation.
“It’s acceptable,” you said before placing both palms on the table. “I believe I really should be getting on.”
You attempted to push yourself up from the seat. Attempted being the key word. It wasn’t often your bad knee would buckle when standing; usually reserved for long nights in your office where you had barely managed to take bathroom breaks. Yet when you pushed yourself up, you felt the strain in your knee. It was a familiar feeling, that weakness before a painful tightness that so often forced you back into your seat.
And it did. Your grip on the table meant nothing as your knee shook for a nanosecond before giving out underneath you. Thankfully the gasp never actually left your lips. You could taste the copper in your mouth as you bit your tongue in an effort to stay silent. In the end, your entire leg trembled.
Enid and Wednesday stood up quickly, knocking their chairs back and watching your every move. You wished they would come to you; you were glad they didn’t. The looks on their faces was terrifying enough. Identical looks to the ones they had had that night.
“Wednesday, put it down,” you said when she refused to remove the knife from her hand.
“Your fears of being a monster are unwarranted,” she said as she gripped the blade tighter. “You wouldn’t hurt anyone.”
She had barely broken the skin before the scent hit you. It had been months since you had fed, and she had broken the floodgates. Everything about her disappeared except for the small drop of blood pooling at the bottom of her hand.
You didn’t feel yourself practically jumping toward her. You didn’t hear her gasp when you ripped the knife from her hand. You didn’t see the look on her face as you licked up the blood on her palm, or when you moved up her hand to bite the pulse point on her wrist.
But you tasted the nectar that flowed through her veins. You felt the strong pulse beneath your lips. You felt the scorching hot blood falling down your chin before you simply couldn’t keep up with the flow. Something vaguely pushed against your neck, but it was little more than a nuisance. All you knew was the blood in your mouth and the warmth on your lips.
Vaguely, you heard something. A scream, a growl, something breaking, you couldn’t tell the difference. It was nothing compared to the relief you were getting. How could you care about something in the outside world when you had such a delicious-
-something solid slammed into your body. The skin underneath your lips vanished, replaced by the cold air around you. When your body stopped rolling, you could feel the aches already starting to form. It didn’t matter. You zeroed in on Wednesday’s wrist again.
You were met with what felt like a truck slamming into your leg. Bones cracked, stretching the tendons and muscles with the new direction they were facing. It wouldn’t hold any weight when you tried to stand up. No matter; that was why you had two legs.
Something large and furry stepped in between you and Wednesday. Nothing about it was familiar in that moment. Instinct told you it was nothing but an obstacle in the way of your feed. It charged, and you swiped. Your fingers clipped something even as you felt its claws rake across your skin.
You tried to stand. Something sharp crossed your chest; the air was cold on your skin. When you stood up again, it was met with similar results. The third attempt got you closer to Wednesday. When something sharp clasped around your shoulder and threw you back to the ground, you stilled.
That hot blood you had gorged yourself on started to feel hot on your neck. Not in it, on it. You opened your mouth to speak and felt the liquid spew from your lips, falling down your face in all directions. Your hand lifted to the side of your neck. Your fingers pushed past the skin and then-exposed muscle.
As you pushed harder on the wounds, doing your best to staunch the flow of blood, the world started to come back to you. Blackness peeled back from your vision. The blurry world started to come into focus along with the sounds that you could finally discern as gasps and growls.
So did the pain.
You were drowning in the blood you had stolen. Your head lolled to the side even as you coughed again, spewing blood into the air like some demented fountain. A werewolf was across the room, hovering over Wednesday even as it transformed back into a person. Back into Enid. Her bare skin was shredded in places.
Wednesday was bleeding out from more than one bite mark.
You had attacked them. Both of them. The women you loved. They were bleeding out. Because of you.
You released the pressure from your neck and felt the blood continue to fall.
“I’m sorry,” you said softly. Something wet fell down your cheeks.
“I know,” Wednesday answered just as softly. It was humiliating.
It was lovely.
“Please stay,” Enid said. You looked down to see her reach her hand across the table.
You shouldn’t. You had nearly killed them, had gone into a frenzy that you hadn’t experienced ever again. What if it happened again with them? After all those years, you still loved them. You would never admit to anyone, but you kept their photos on your desk at work. You couldn’t risk hurting them again. Couldn’t risk killing them. You were a monster, and that fact alone was never going to change.
They looked at you expectantly.
For when is a monster not a monster?
You reached forward and placed your hand on top of Enid’s.
Oh, when you love it.

Evil
Y/N: I have found a foolproof method to determine if someone is truly evil.
Wednesday: And that is?
Y/N: If they dislike Enid, they are evil.
Wednesday, nodding in agreement: Yeah, ok, that’s pretty sound logic.

Wednesday: *walks into Y/N’s room where Enid and Y/N are laying down on Y/N’s bed*
Enid, looking at Wednesday lovingly: Our dream girl.
Wednesday, still annoyed because of something that happen during the investigation: Shut up, I’m not. Say that again and I will smother you in your sleep.
Y/N, with a blank face: We never said what kind of dreams, you fucking nightmare.
*Y/N running away with Wednesday on her tail, Enid following them to make sure Y/N safe*

Wednesday (or Wenclair) X reader who is a Grimm. Everyone at Nevermore knows about their ancestry and is cautious when around y/n, despite them being kind-hearted and friends with a few of the students.
Wednesday leans into Y/N’s chest. Enid hugs them tightly…
Enid: for a Grim, you sure are cuddly
Y/N: only for you
Wednesday: I love how much of a monster you can be
Y/N growls playfully for her…
Y/N: how did I end up so lucky?

There were many times you'd lay awake wishing you were different, a more subtle species. It wasn't a surprise normies had treated you badly since you were a kid, most outcasts can pretend to be normies to fit in.
But you could be spotted even in a mile away as an outcast with your big flappy wings attached to your arms, and your long talon nails.
You thanked god daily he hadn't gave you a beak at this point.
Arriving at Nevermore gave you bigger hopes then any other schools has before, a chance to finally fit in, to have friends amongst people who understood what it was like to be different.
What you didn't expect was to be made a joke for being an outcast, amongst outcasts.
It wasn't all bad, you'd tell yourself daily.
You were warmly welcomed by the infamous Enid Sinclair and her not so welcoming girlfriend,
You avoided them at first, keeping to yourself and the comfort of the library most of your time. Your roommate Yoko is rarely in your shared dorm, often sleeping in her girlfriend's dorm instead.
But Enid had took matters in her own hands, refusing to let you be alone. As much as you pretend not to care much about it, you were grateful for her and Wednesday. It was the first time you felt wanted.
"So, [name.]" Enid starts, waking by your side with her arm linked with yours. "Have you decided who your date to the Rave'n will be?" She asks, wiggling her brows at you.
You feel your face turns red before shaking your head. "Decide? I'll be lucky if someone even asks me."
Her grin slowly drops at your word and you see her turn her head at Wednesday. The two having an unspoken conversation with eachother.
You raise your eyebrows at them in question and Enid turns back to you. "Maybe you should go with us!" She suggests.
You turn silent in suprise. "Oh? oh-I mean I couldn't-"
"[Name], if you're worried you'd be third wheeling, I assure you that it won't be happening, our affections with eachother are as equal as is to you-" Enid curses and glares at her girlfriend, throwing both hands up in frustration.
"Wha- I- I'm not following.." You look at them in confusion before Enid sighs loudly.
"I thought you said we can tell them together!" She scolds Wednesday, who only shrugs. "Both of you were taking too long."
"Tell me what?" You ask again, this time finally getting their attention.
They turn to you and Enid takes a deep breath before she attempts to speak, being cut off by Wednesday again.
"We would like to invite you into our romantic relationship -"
"Jesus Wednesday-" "You take too long-"
"Invite you to our rela- What is this an interview?"
"Oh you'd rather I ask for their Snapchat then like you did to me-"
You take in her words as they argue.
"You want to be with me?" You try, your voice slowing down their banter as they both look back at you and Enid replies before anyone can interrupt her again. "Yes. Yes we do."
Why? was the first thing that came to mind.
Not realizing you've spoken the question out loud, You were met with a frown from the blond.
"What do you mean why? Because you're amazing, [name]. Look- You seriously can't tell that we've been pulling our asses off to get you to notice us?"
Wednesday snorts and interjects, "You've been pulling your ass off, I've already had their attention-" "Wednesday." Enid sighs, earning a rare smirk from the raven haired.
Your mind was swirling with all this new information. Unable to give any answer, you simply run away without looking back, hearing Enid call after you.
°°°
Your room was no longer your own. And it was a big discomfort to find your space intruded by not even your roommate, but someone who didn't even belong in your dorm.
"What the hell are you doing with my stuff?!" Your eyes widen at the sight of your small nest of blankets all over the room.
"Proving everyone that you're a freak.", There were three of them, and by their looks you knew they were fairies.
And despite harpies often being described as mythical monsters, it's the pointy eared creatures that have devils in them.
"Look at this shit, what is this, your nest? I told you, They're basically just a giant bird-"
"I'm not-"
Your trinkets and rock collection's were being thrown and smashed on walls. You scream and shove the red haired girl againts the wall, your talons scratching through her arms.
"You bird bitch." She snapped bitterly.
"They used their claws on me! Did you guys see that? You guys saw that right?" They all agreed againts you
She was stronger than you thought, or perhaps you weren't as strong as you wanted to be. She pushed you back and your back fell on the floor. Her two friends gripped your hands and held you from moving, you wings flapping againts the floor.
You struggle to against them as the red haired punched you in the face. It was a weak blow but a punch nonetheless .
"You're nothing but a monster, thorough, and thorough." She seethes at your face.
"Not so scary now though are you?"
°°°
The sounds of knocking on your door was muffled by your pillow againts your face.
When the banging fists became louder you pull away and manage to shout at the uninvited visitor to leave you alone.
Silence swallowed your room once more.
Burying your face back in the pillow, you continue your hour long breakdown.
You don't hear the door open at first, but when Enid's fast footsteps reach closer, you flinch and pull back to look behind you.
You couldn't tell what emotions coated their expressions, but what you did know that you're more embarrassed than upset now.
It was bad enough that everyone saw you as a freak, you didn't want the only two people you liked to see you like this.
You had no chance to come up with a story as Wednesday crosses the gap between the tow of you, her hands instantly holding up your face to her, eyes inspection the bruise.
"Who did this to you." She demanded. Her monotonous voice laced with a subtle but noticable anger.
You shook your head and started crying again before you could help it.
Enid wordlessly pulled you in her chest.
You were taken aback by the comfort of her warmth, you can't remember the last time you were held by anyone.
Still sobbing in her arms, Wednesday pulled your chin towards her and asked again, "I need names, dove."
"I-she didn't tell me-" Enid interjects your stuttering. "It's that fairy girl, Aliyah." You looked at her confused.
"It's the wolf scent thing, this room reeks of her fake dior." She explains,
Wednesday wordlessly walks to the door and Enid's arms release you as she runs to her.
"Wednesday no. We need to tell Weems about this, nothing more-"
"Nothing more? She assaulted [name]. You think whatever lame punishment Weems give them will make them stop? No. The stupid elf and whoever involved needs to know this will be the last time they even look at them."
Enid stared at her, mouth agape and then sighed.
"Fairy, not elf." She mumbled and shakes her head.
"Imbecile, is the right term. I won't have either of you in trouble with me. So you stay here and be there for them in ways I can't. I'll handle that wretched mushroom eater." Was the last words she speaks before slamming the door on Enid's face.
Enid groans and looks back at you, confused and sniffing. "She's not going to...kill her, is she?" You asks worriedly.
She walks towards you and crawls in the bed to your side, pulling you back to her. "She's not a murderer, but I can't say she doesn't have a penchant for inflicting pain."

Both of Them?
Tumblr media
[pairings]: wenclair x normie!reader
[summary]: You realize you have fallen for not one, but two outcasts. What are you gonna do now?
[warnings]: swearing, author is unexperienced
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You were never the person who was into relationships, if you ever were in one, it never lasted long. You always either got bored or the affection was too much for you to handle.
So when you started to feel butterflies in your stomach every time you saw a certain raven-haired girl come into the library of Jericho, claiming that there are no books left in the school library that she is interested in, you were freaking out.
You didn't want for her to turn out like the other people you had liked, they always ended up to be heart-broken or just simply didn't like you back.
And just when you thought that you would never have to see her again, because she hadn't been to the library in nearly a month, she shows up again with a bubbly, blonde-haired girl by her side.
At first you were jealous, but then one day Enid ( you heard Wednesday say her name once or twice) noticed and decided to talk to you, which included talking to Wednesday.
You three quickly became bestfriends, even though she never showed it, Wednesday cared about you too. And what started with you all being friends it ended in you falling for both of them.
You felt guilty, but you really should have seen it coming. You were known to have crushes on your friends and you didn't know why. Not all of them at once and almost never from you group of friends, just a not so close one. They ever only lasted around 8 months or a year, if you didn't confess.
So when after all the Crackstone shit, you still had strong feeling for both of them, you decided to tell one of your closest friend.
" You what?! " She shouted after you told her. " Wait, wait. Let me get this straight, you fell for an outcast? " you nod " And then, that outcast got a girlfriend? " you nodded slowly " Then you fell for that outcast too?! "
" Yep, that's what happened "
" Bitch, i don't know how you did that, but okay. " She said after a moment of silence.
" what do you think i should do? " you asked.
" you should definitely tell them, see what happens. " She said, sitting down on her bed.
" Okay. if you say so" You say hesitantly before sitting down next to her. Getting ready to watch a movie.
---
Considering you were a 'normie' you never got the chance to hang out in Wednesday and Enid's dorm. But one day Enid had asked you to sneak into their dorm so you all could have a movie night and you agreed.
To say that they forgot about it was kind of an understatement. When you climbed up onto their balcony and tried to get in through the window as quietly as possible you didn't expect to see Enid and Wednesday kissing furiously on Enid's bed. You were practically frozen to the spot. You didn't know what to do. When you slowly came back to reality, you saw that they had yet to notice you. You quickly went back out onto the balcony and climbed back down from it.
" Hey! " You heard a voice behind you.
You slowly turned around to see a boy in a beanie and a girl with black hair and glasses ( which she took off pretty quickly) " Who are you and what are you doing here? " The girl shouted over the sound of the heavy rain, that you hadn't even taken notice of.
" H-Hey, i mean no harm! I-i just came here to-to see a friend of mine " You smiled awkwardly at them while wrapping your arms around yourself.
" Friend of Wednesday or Enid? " The boy asked.
" Both?"
" Both?! " The girl chuckled slightly under her breath " okay, then come with us. It's freezing out here." She slowly took you arm and started walking inside.
" YN " You say quietly.
" Huh? "
" My name, YN" You repeated.
" oohh, well I'm Yoko and this is Ajax "
"cool"
" So, you a normie? " Ajax asked you as you all arrived to, what you assumed, their dorm (just pretend they are roommates ).
"uh, yeah. I know Wednesday and Enid from the public library in Jericho, "you said after you went inside with them.
" and what did you want in their dorm? " Ajax asked as he sat down on his bed and signaled for you to copy him.
"well, uh they invited me over for a movie night, but i guess it's canceled now" you say as you blush slightly.
" Why - " Ajax said before he was cut off by Yoko slapping the back of his head " Aw, why did you do that? "
She just rolled her eyes and shrugged " you are just really dumb sometimes " she says as she had now changed clothes and looked ready to go somewhere " I'm staying at Divina's tonight. You can sleep in my bed. "
" Why would you let a stranger sleep in your bed? "you asked, blinking a couple of times.
" Any friend of Enid's is my friend too " Smiled at you before walking out and closing the door behind her.
" Well, if that's the saying then here " Ajax handed you some clothes " you can use these are mine and clean " He grinned proudly.
You took the clothes and went to change in the Bathroom. After you changed you went to Yoko's bed and laid down, feeling a little uncomfortable sleeping in someone else's bed " Good night " you heard Ajax say from the other side of the room and looked over, seeing him just sitting in the corner of his bed, wrapped in his blanket with his phone in his hand as he turned of the lamp on his bedside table.
" Night "

Could I please request a Wenclair x Male reader where Enid and the reader have been at a party and arrive back at the dorm drunk and both flirt with a very sober and mildly annoyed Wednesday?
Silly drunks
Wednesday Addams x male Reader x Enid Sinclair
(Wednesday )
Summary: you and enid get drunk at a party, and come to the dorms to flirt with your annoyed girlfriend ,,, Wenclair
Tw:, swearing, threats, alcohol
(Y/n)=your name
“-this is thoughts-“
“This is talking”
Requested by: @lica24
(I’m aging the characters up, but let’s pretend nothing else changed💀….sorry this took me a bit, life stuff, ALSO, I didn’t think I’d have to say this, but this is not smut, I don’t write smut of minor, that’s gross)
————————-———————————
You and Enid haven’t been partying for awhile now, and you both are starting to feel a bit, wonky?
It’s only then you realize the punch seems, more sour than it’s supposed to.
You nudge enid, and slur. “Heyyy eniee, the punch seems a lil, weiRdd. Maybe we shouldd leave?”
Enid blinks and slurs back. “Whaaa noooOo.” She chugs the rest of her drink.
You hold her hand and go up to Bianca.“Mm hey did someone spike the punch?”
She looks at you, seeming drunk out of her mind. “Wha?? Who are you?” She suddenly giggles.
You raise your eyebrow at her.
“Ok, mm hhow about we walk you to ur dorm?”
She stops giggling, and just nods slowly. “Mmm Yea ok, sure.”
Enid speaks up “Mmm oK Yea i don’t feel good Let’s go.”
She kinda just, drops her cup on the ground and leans on you.
You being the most sober walk Bianca to her dorm, while practically carrying enid. You’re actually kinda proud of yourself , being as drunk as you are.
Soon you and enid get to her dorm, loudly at that.
You walk in to a pitch black room, then suddenly a lamp turns on , revealing a tired and annoyed Wednesday.
You jump in surprise and Enid squeals.
“Do you have any idea what time it is?”
Wednesday stats with cold eyes and raspy voice, likely from her waiting for you two to come back ,past her bedtime.
You blush. “Heyyyyy weddds-“
She shushes you.
“You’re both intoxicated, arent you.” She asks, but it sounds more like a statement.
“I thought I told you both to get here around 19 pm sharp, It is now 3 am.”
You giggle, trying to lighten her mood.
“We’re just intoxicated from your love.” You say, giving her sloppy wink.
Enid then stumbles to Wednesday.
“Dont be mad babbyy.” She leans on Wednesday, who begrudgingly lets her, for the sake of not falling over.
You get on the other side of her. “Yeaa cmon, it was only once, well be carefulll.”
You say, resting your hand on the back of her neck, and head on her shoulder.
Wednesday doesn’t know If it’s due to lack of sleep, but she feels a burning feeling in her face whenever you two get so close.
“Enough.” She stated with a flushed face. “I was only waiting for you two to get back ,so I could lecture you and go to bed.”
Enid pouts. “And because uou love us right?”
Wednesday scowls. “No. Now get off me, both of you.”
You smirk and sink to kiss her jaw. “What if we dont wanna weds?”
Wednesday nearly chokes and push’s you both off.
You fall and Enid falls on you. It hurt, bit not too bad because your body is tingly.
Wednesday huffs and walks to her bed, then gets in it, clearly ready for sleep.
You pout and help enid up. Then you both try to get in bed with her.
She glares at you both. “No.”
“Awww come on Wednesday….” You whine.
“We’ll be careful and quietttt.” Enid whines along with you.
Wednesday says nothing to you both.
……
After a few seconds pass, she looks at you both, clearly annoying.
“Are you getting in bed or not?”
You and Enid perk up snd go to the bed, slipping in and cuddling with Wednesday.
“Not a word.” She declares.
And you both ignore that and continue to flirt with her until it seems she will catch on fire.
Then you both pass out cold on top of her, leaving Wednesday to deal with her complicated feelings.
“-Idiots.-“ she thinks to herself.
“-I’ll lecture them more tomorrow, im too tired…not because i like them sleeping on me. That would be idiotic.-“
She eventually falls asleep.
In the morning, you and enid have no idea what happened, but still get and earful from Wednesday about, “inappropriate behavior.”
You both don’t care.

Hello! Can I request some hcs for Wednesday and Enid (they're dating) being obsessed with a fem!reader?
On GOD I'm obsessed with this, yall should send me more wenclair x reader so I can just go apeshit with it
Enid and Wednesday had a pretty good thing going. They had found their rhythm, they were comfortable with each other's boundaries, they were stable. Nice and stable
But then Enid just had to become friends with you, and she just had to decide that, you know what? Wednesday should be best friends with you too. You were so much fun, but not as crazy as Enid, so surely Wednesday would like you too
And she does. Oh god she does. You're surprisingly sweet, you respect her boundaries, you get along with Enid, you listen more than you talk (at least with Wednesday). She would only begrudgingly admit that maybe Enid was right
It's impossible for Enid to stop at friends though, not when she and Wednesday just clicked so effortlessly with you. So she invites you back to their dorm more often, and Wednesday even lets you sit on her bed. She invites you on hers and Wednesday's coffee dates and makes it a point to buy your coffee for you. Wednesday even invites you to study sessions and maybe, maybe, "accidentally" forgets her textbook so oops, guess you should just hang out instead
Maybe Enid likes to be really touchy-feely with you, and she's constantly riding on your back because "I can see better from up here." And maybe Wednesday will link pinkies with you when you're all studying or relaxing in the dorm. And maybe Enid will give you rushed pecks on the cheek when you all part ways
There comes a night where Wednesday and Enid have to sit themselves down and talk about you. Wednesday obviously takes the more logical approach of "what would the logistics of this be? How would this work?" while Enid is just "I'm so lucky, now I get TWO girlfriends!"
Eventually they do bring it up to you, and Enid is already sitting in your lap while you listen and nod along to whatever Wednesday is saying about it before sheepishly admitting that you kind of already thought you were all a thing anyway
"Why would you think that?"
"Because Enid practically made out with me the other night"
"Best friends can make out with each other too, you know!"

[Y/N, walking into Wednesday & Enid’s dorm, pouting, with a blanket because she sick]
Y/N:*goes to Enid’s bed and lays down next to her*
Enid:*smiles and pets Y/N’s hair* Aww..
Wednesday:*stops typing and looks at them* Come on, Y/N! Don’t be such a baby. What are you five?
Y/N: Yeah, five inches taller than you. *curls more into Enid*
*absolute silences, while Thing & Enid looks between a dangerously quiet Wednesday & Y/N*
Y/N, realizing what she said: Wednesday..Cara Mia..I’m on death’s door. Do not attack me.
Wednesday:*starts walking towards them and looks like she’s going to stab at Y/N any second*
Y/N:*throws her blanket on Wednesday, covering her completely, while running as fast as possible out of the room*
Wednesday, running after Y/N angrily, throwing knives at her: You’re gonna regret that!
Enid, Thing on her shoulder, runs after them: Willa! Don’t kill her!

Wenclair x Reader - What Are You? -Part 1
Wenclair x Reader- New at NeverMore and unsettled by your new stalkers? ... Or more excited. Why do these girls interest you so much? Or why are they so interested in you?
This is my first attempt at Wenclair X reader fic but I'm really excited to write it. I have so many ideas and different directions this story can take so hope y'all enjoy reading 😋
You walked the halls of Nevermore, anxiety filling your body, your mind filled with endless extremities of how badly this transfer could go and your heart beating so loudly you were sure everyone around you could hear it. You scanned the array of Fangs, Furs , Scales and Stoners that covered the Quad as you made your way to the principal's office to be welcomed as an outcast. Although you weren't sure that was the correct term for what you were.
Your eyes darted across the courtyard and you halted your steps when you heard a loud scream pierce your ears. You immediately went into defense mode only to focus your vision on a cute curly haired blonde whose scream turned into a giggle as a Gorgon boy threw her over his shoulder.
'Huh cute couple' you thought watching most of the group around them smile and laugh at the scene in front of them.
Being the huge snoop that you are, you focus your hearing on her laugh which was weirdly melodious to your ears. Only to hear...
"I suggest you remove my beloved from your clammy hands before I make certain you no longer have hands to perform such actions" the voice was harsh, very monotone yet incredibly alluring... Who is she?
"Wednesday, relax babe Ajax was just messing around" you watched as the blonde hopped down from the boys shoulder who seemed genuinely terrified by the 5ft nothing girl in front of him and held his hands up in surrender. She glided up to the girl and intertwined their hands together...
'Oh' you think to yourself "Now that's a cute couple" changing your tune. You hadn't realised how long you'd been staring, watching the group interact was fascinating but it wasn't long before you watched the beautiful blonde's nose twitch as she jerked her head in your direction and tilted her head quizzically at you.
The girl you now knew as Wednesday followed her girlfriend's eyeline stepping closer to her and turning her head to also make direct eye contact with you.
Your breath caught in your throat momentarily and you watch as the blonde flashes her fangs, presumably opening her mouth to speak but you don't wait up to hear what she has to say. Instead you whip your head towards the ground and scurry away not in the mood for confrontation on your first day
"Who was that?" Enid scrunched her brow in confusion, watching the back of you as you disappeared into the distance.
"I don't know but she seemed rather intrigued by us" Wednesday observed, also not taking her eyes off the girl who had scurried away.
"I know everyone at Nevermore why don't I know who that is?" Enid suddenly seemed a little panicked at her own uninformed self. Her eyes starring towards Wednesday who let a small, almost invisible to the naked eye, smile cross her lips. She couldn't believe she had fallen for a werewolf whose biggest issue was whether or not she kept up to date with all Nevermore gossip for her extremely girly blog.
"Highly suspicious." She recognised "Shall I get my investigation board out?" Wednesday suggested in an attempt to calm her hyperactive Lover down.
"Not yet" the werewolf smiled, pecking Wednesdays cheek and smiling. She did enjoy watching her girlfriend turn into Sherlock Holmes but she didn't seem it necessary just yet.
"Mon Chiot you must refrain from such ludicrous displays of public affection" she scolded Enid weakly, unable to admit the affect the wolf had on her.
"Chill out Wens noone is watching and besides I like that I'm the only one that can turn those beautifully pale cheeks even the slightest bit pink" she bragged playfully, knowing full well she could irritate the Seer without consequence.
Wednesday sighed "You're impossible" she threw her head to the sky and feined annoyance.
"And you're beautiful" she grabbed Wensdays hand to lead her back to the dynamic pack of friends but they were abruptly stopped by the assistant principal who stood in front of them.
"Miss Sinclair a word?" but as Enid moved to follow their teacher she felt a light tug from the hand that was grasping hers.
"What do you require of her?" Wednesday asked in a not so polite tone and the teacher just rolled her eyes very used to the Wednesday Addams and her protective nature. You couldn't blame her. The amount of times Enid had been in trouble and Wednesday knew for a fact she was responsible, was too many to count. It was alarming. So if she had to take the fall for something... she was ready to dive into the waiting arms of detention to protect her girlfriend's spotless record. At least it was spotless before Wednesday decided to hypothetically drag mud across the clean sheet.
"We have a new student at Nevermore" she rolls her eyes "It is a very abrupt transfer so the welcoming committee... i.e you...have not been informed" she explained and watched as the 2 girls gave each other a knowing look. The eavesdropper. "You're wanted in the principal's office to meet her" she smiled.
"Cool!" Enid beamed widely. She loved new students. New students meant more gossip and more gossip meant more things happening! Enid loved things happening!
"What is she?" Wednesday interjected concerned for her girlfriend's welfare around a new and undetermined creature.
"I am not at liberty to divulge that information Miss Addams" she spoke cryptically "Now chop chop she'll be waiting for you" she turned to Enid then flicked her eyes towards Wednesday "Bring Wednesday if you must but please refrain from terrifying her on her first day" the teacher directed her last sentence at the more sinister of the two then left without another word.
"Well this is gonna be so much fun!" Enid practically yelled before waving to her friends and leaving, Wednesday following close behind like a magnet being drawn to metal.
"Or harrowing" she mumbled as she caught up to Enid.
...
When you reach the two very large and intimidating doors, you knock with confidence and are greeted a few seconds later by a tall, tantalising women.
"Ahh you must me Y/N welcome to Nevermore" she declared before ushering you inside.
"I trust you found your way around ok I apologise for not greeting you at the gates I have only just been informed of your arrival a few minutes ago" she explained but it wasn't necessary. You knew why you were here and you didn't expect much of a welcome anyway.
"Yeah it's cool" you spoke rather casually and unbothered taking a seat as the other women did. She blinked at your casual tone but disregarded it to get down to business.
10 minutes went by which consisted of the Rules of Nevermore, the appearance of your schedule which you didn't expect to have so soon and an explanation of the requirements to attend the school. You listened as well as you could but eventually your thoughts drifted to two girls you had "Met" earlier and your mind swirled with images of them.
As if you had conjured it yourself a knock was heard and when you craned your neck to see who it was ... There they stood.
"Enid" the principal smiled warmly " and ... Wednesday" you watched as she forced a smile but seemed utterly dismayed by the other girl. So that's her name ... Enid your mind whispered to you.
You weren't at all surprised. The blonde whose smile was infectious was dressed in her uniform but it was bedazzled with countless accessories of blinding colour, her bubbly personality practically spilling out into the room. Whereas the darker haired girl looked far more distraught and tortured sporting an all black uniform and a deadpan expression.
"Howdy Newbie!" Enid skipped towards you a wide smile as you stumbled off your seat turning around to reciprocate her greeting.
"Umm Hey" you say quietly and immediately stepped back slightly as the girl threw her arms up to attack you, you presume with a hug. You were never one for physical contact around strangers especially with the "gift" you have being unpredictable so although you rejected her hug you hoped you hadn't offended her.
Enid tilted her head to the side with a slight frown. Which of course made you feel bad but it was safer this way. You let out a sigh of relief when she looked back at Wednesday who smirked at her then back at you while letting out a light chuckle.
"Not a hugger?" She questioned lowering her hands, but she seemed oddly happy about this rather than dismayed.
"Haha not really" you shrugged, with one hand grasping at your forearm for comfort.
"Got it!" Enid spoke, respecting your boundaries which you were incredibly grateful for. "You and Wednesday will get along great" she laughed a little again and winked, causing you to blink at how affected you were by this. She then reached her hand out to Wednesday who hadn't stopped examining you with her piercing stare since the moment you began speaking to Enid. You felt you should be more unsettled by her eyes on you but you can understand her curiosity as you yourself were very interested in knowing more about the two girls.
Wednesday took Enid's hand easily and stepped in to join the conversation
"Hello" she said rather formally and you couldn't help the smile that pulled at your lips. These two were literally polar opposites. One sunshine, one Raincloud. One dark, one light. One a happy social hugger, one a dreary unsociable avoider. How in heaven's name are they a couple? Opposites really do attract it seems and it's proven very true in this case, as you can see.
"Hi" you nod at her and she matches the action with a slight tilt of her head towards you. You then watch as she looks at Enid who does the same. It's as if they are communicating through telepathy and all you can see is the slight change in facial expressions at whatever they were both thinking. Not a lot to go on but you choose not to pry, it didn't seem to be malicious or anything so you could let it go.
Thankfully the principal interrupted "Right well I think I've covered most of what Y/N needs to know so Miss Sinclair if you could just show her around and give her the ol' Nevermore welcome that would be much appreciated." She spoke looking up from her notes and back down to make sure she had covered everything.
"Roger that!" Enid saluted the teacher dramatically before skipping away and opening the large doors to the office.
You on the other hand watched as Wednesday examined you further, her eyes trailing up and down your body while you were standing only a meter apart. You felt rather trapped between her and the chair you were once sat on, unable to follow the bubbly blonde who had left the 2 of you.
You again we're thankful when Enid interjected "Wens stop it!" She looked back scolding her girlfriend "You'll make her feel uncomfortable" she trudged back to the both of you shaking her head.
"Sorry about Wednesday she's just ..." Enid struggled to find the right word "Curious about new unidentified people" she explained.
"Cucciola, What have I told you about apologising for me? It's not necessary" Wednesday speaks bluntly but with a hint of affection towards the werewolf girl. You notice the pet name and smile 'Shes Italian... or at least she speaks it' you find this incredibly attractive and nervously look away.
"Well someone has to" she rolled her eyes and you admire her features as she does this. Unfortunately for you Wednesday notices.
"Va bene capisco" you raise your hand hoping that you can distract the sinister looking girl from the fact that you just checked out her girlfriend.
You watch as Enid's eyes light up at your voice. And Wednesday narrows her eyes at you. "You speak Italian?" She questions and you're not sure whether she's impressed or annoyed at this point, Wednesday is very difficult to read.
"Sì mia madre mi ha insegnato quando ero bambino" you say proudly, always being extremely pleased with your learned skills.
"degno di nota" you hear Wednesday mutter as she looks away from you which for some reason causes you to feel all giddy at the sly compliment.
"Come New Outcast" Wednesday flicks her head towards the door and grabs Enid's hand before walking out of the room "I apologise for staring" she says while still facing away from you.
Enid smiles proudly at Wednesday and then gives you a reassuring look as you hastily follow behind the two.
This is gonna be an interesting day you think to yourself.

by the open fire
summary: a sweet little moment with your loves is exactly the perfect way to spend christmas eve.
pairing: wednesday addams x fem!reader x enid sinclair
day 6 of ficmas! (december 24th, 2022)
…………………………………………………………………………….
before winter break started, wednesday suggested that you and enid spend the holidays with her and her family. the girl had gotten so comfortable in the relationship with you guys that she felt ready to tell her parents. she no longer inched away from hugs or kisses or even cuddles. having too much of a soft spot for you guys, she’d pretty much do anything to make you guys happy even if it meant stepping out of her comfort zone.
“now, my parents can be smothering with their affection to each other. try your best to ignore the grossness.”
“wednesday, how is that any of a difference than with us?” the girl chose to ignore enid’s question and walked to the door of the mansion. you tugged enid’s hand with a giggle and pulled her to follow.
the door swings open and there stands morticia and gomez addams with bright smiles. they both gesture you all to come in.
“mother. father. you remember enid from when you first met her at nevermore.”
“yes of course,” morticia nods a smile to enid before turning her focus back to you.
“this is y/n, also from nevermore. they are both-“
“your girlfriends.” wednesday looks to her mother with wide eyes making you and enid share a look.
“call it mothers intuition.”
“my little storm cloud has finally found love. i couldn’t be more prouder,” gomez pressed a kiss onto morticia’s hand sharing a proud parent moment with her.
“well ladies welcome. wednesday why don’t you show them around?” she nods at her mother and leads both of you to start a tour of the house.
“soo does this mean your parents are okay with the three of us being together?” you had to be the one to break the silence first being that you were a little spooked that her parents were so calm.
“yes. why wouldn’t they be?”
“wens, i think y/n is just trying to say that she’s worried that your parents aren’t happy or faking it,” in the midst of explaining to wednesday, enid grabbed your hand squeezing gently in reassurance.
wednesday stops walking to turn around to the both of you and grasped each of yours hands completing the circle. “trust me when i say everything is okay. although, they may be overly annoying and too affectionate, they aren’t lying about be happy. they have waited years for me to find someone. just so happens i ended up with two people that torture my mind. in a good way.”
you smiled hearing your girlfriend reassure you and your worries. she had definitely gotten better at doing that.
“now i must show you guys to my favorite part of the house,” she lets go of you and enid’s hand but not without a quick squeeze. wednesday leads you guys to a room that had a beautiful fireplace and many books sitting on shelfs. there was also a record player with all different types of of records to spin.
“oh my god babe this is so amazing!” you couldn’t take your eyes off of enid. eyes wide in excitement and her smile getting bigger.
“i always come here to read or sit in silence,” wednesday goes to the fireplace to light it. the fire spreading on the wood making the room ten times prettier.
“silence?! wednesday you have all type of records here,” you shuffled to go through them seeing the selection.
“can we spin a record?”
“have at it my loves.” in no time enid was right by your side helping you choose what to play. you both choose a soft christmas record and wednesday rolls her eyes. she knew what you guys were gonna play the second you stepped foot to the record player but she didn’t mind. while you guys were picking the record, she took the time to silently set up a blanket by the fire with pillows and an extra blanket to throw around you guys.
“aw baby! honey look at what wednesday did!” you tapped enid’s arm to show her the set up. wednesday’s cheeks began to blush under the gaze of her girlfriends. she thought of herself to be lucky to have both of you.
“don’t mention it just come over here,” the girl holds out both hands for each of you to hold. the two of you walked the short distance and sit down next to her.
“i was thinking maybe i could read to you guys. that is if you want to.”
“i don’t mind it my love.”
“yeah, me either babe,” enid nods her head agreeing with you. wednesday pulls out the book from behind her and tells you guys to get comfortable. you all lay down with wednesday in the middle. she makes sure to pull the blanket up on the three of you before opening the book to start reading. she had chosen frankenstein by mary shelley, one of her favorites.
-
morticia hadn’t seen you guys in a while and decided to get you guys for dinner. she searches the house before remembering wednesday’s favorite hiding spot.
“girls dinner is ready,” she opens the door and finds a beautiful sight. her daughter actually cuddling with people. you and enid were snuggled up on each side of wednesday while she had an arm around each of you. morticia sees a book that had been disregarded elsewhere. she’s never seen wednesday look so peaceful.
morticia was quick to leave and grab her camera from the living room. when she comes back, she quietly takes three pictures with the polaroid just so each of you can have a picture. smiling to herself one last time, she turns to close the door softly not wanting to disrupt your sleep.

Both of Them? Pt. III
Tumblr media
[summary]: Wednesday and Enid are not happy while you, Ajax and Yoko are having way too much fun.
[warnings]: swearing
[pairings]: Wenclair x Reader
-----------------------------------------------
Later that day Wednesday and Enid are in the quad, waiting for Ajax and Yoko to arrive.” What exactly are we going to say to them? “ Asked Enid, looking at Wednesday with furrowed eyebrows.
“ We are going to ask them why they had done what they did. “ She answered in a monotone voice, without even taking a glance at Enid.
Enid looked at her with a frown on her face “ You mean, let Y/N stay at their dorm so she doesn't have to walk home to Jericho in heavy rain? “ She raised her eyebrows at her girlfriend.” Come on, Wednesday! I know that you are upset that she was sleeping in my ex’s clothes and all that stuff. Trust me I am too! But we can’t exactly, just tell them to back off. No one knows that we have feelings for her. “ She whispered the last part so nobody could hear.
Wednesday was about to say something when she saw Yoko and Ajax walking into the quad and towards them. “ Wednesday! Enid! My dear friends, I am so glad to see you both ! “ Yoko tried to cover up the awkwardness with a smile on her face.
“ Stop this bullshit right now. I wanna know what happened last night “ Said Wednesday with her usual glare.
“ Nothing. We just helped your friend. Besides, that’s pretty much all I know. I was at Divinas last night. “ Yoko said as she sat down beside Enid on the edge of the fountain.
“ You left her alone with Ajax?! “ Enid finally spoke up. Well more like shouted, but yeah. Yoko nodded slowly, not knowing what was wrong with that.
“ Ouch “ Mumbled Ajax under his breath. “ Listen, nothing happened! I had given her my clothes, yes. But that does not mean I tried to get into her pants. “
“ You better not have. Otherwise i—” Enid elbowed her in the side so that she would stop talking.
Ajax huffs then his phone dings, signaling that he has gotten a notification. He pulls his phone out of his pocket and turns it on to see a text from you, asking when you guys are going to meet up. He replies with a quick ‘ We’ll be there in a minute ‘ and puts his phone back away and whispers to Yoko; “ She just texted. We should hurry “ Yoko nods and looks at the couple who is looking at them suspiciously.
“ Look, we understand your concern for your normie friend, but we really have to go right now. We are meeting up with Divina and Xavier for a double date. “ She smirks at the end of her sentence. Wednesday and Enid looked at Ajax, shocked. He laughed and nodded, quickly grabbing Yoko’s arm and pulling her away after he said a quiet goodbye.
“ A double date?! Seriously?! “ Ajax exclaimed as they started walking towards the entrance of The Nevermore Academy. “ You couldn’t think of any other excuse? “
Yoko laughs and Ajax just stares at her in disbelief.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You are waiting in-front of a small restaurant in Jericho, scrolling through your gallery endlessly. Suddenly you hear laughing and look up; seeing Yoko laughing and Ajax walking next to her with a deep frown on his face. As they approach you, you put your phone away and say, “ I- …..have a feeling I don't want to know what is happening. Anyway, I made a table reservation already so..let’s go inside “
You guys go inside and sit at your table “ So, tell us about yourself. “ Says Ajax.
You and Yoko give him the ‘ seriously?’ face and Yoko says, “ You know, most people i know hate small talk, Ajax. So please can you not? “
You laugh and then a waitress comes to take your order “ Hey, Y/N! The usual? “ You nod and he turns to Yoko and Ajax “ And what can I get for  you guys? “
They quickly order and the waitress walks away. You turn your head to see them staring at you “ What? “ You laugh.
“ So, you know the waitress? “ Yoko asks as she leans back in her chair; she raises her eyebrows, waiting for you to answer.
“ Well, not exactly, I just come here often. “ You tell them with a smile on your lips, remembering all the memories you have made here. Whether it’d be with friends or alone, it was always an escape from reality. They nod at your answer and Ajax perks up.
“ Hey, next time we can go to a clothes store! “ He says, excited.
“ Are you saying I have a shitty style? “ You ask, faking the offended look on your face. He quickly picked his head up.
“ No ! I-I was ju- “ He stops as he sees both you and Yoko Laughing “ Haha, real funny. “
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That night, you were getting ready for bed when you heard your phone ding on your desk. You go up to it and pick your phone up, seeing a text from you, Enid and Wednesday’s group chat.
You open it up and read it. It says; ‘ HI, Y/N! Wanna hang out with us tomorrow?’ You smile at the text before answering; ‘ Yeah, sure. When? ‘
This time it was Wednesday who texted, ‘ Around 3 pm? ‘ You frown as you look at the text, realizing that you still have classes at 3 pm tomorrow; ‘ Shit. That’s not good for me. How about 5 pm? ‘ within seconds you see agreeing emoji’s on your screen.
You put down your phone and walk over to you bed, glad that you are finally in your own one.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A/N: that's it for today, guy's! Hope you liked it.
