i am quite literally a black person the same age as you who is just tired of being the punching bag for certain types in the trans community. if you have no argument you can just say that instead of lying about my race weirdo.

1. teenagers can have opinions and valuable input when it comes to topics of social justice and equity.
2. i am 19. you are 19. 19 IS a teenager.
3. if somebody having feelings of dysphoria after being forced to fill certain roles or do certain tasks just because (in the words of actual misogynists and transphobes) "theyre a woman", is too hard for you to grasp then idk what to tell you.
4. it is not outlandish for dysphoric people to be dysphoric about strange things. it happens. talk to trans people, do research.
5. i never said that it was "women's work". i said its been forced onto people under the guise that its "womens work", implying that the person is a woman. which misgenders them. which causes feelings of dysphoria. i never said it has "feminine connotations", i said that society regards it as "feminine".
6. also there are transfems in solidarity with me. are you going to attack transfems that feel gender euphoria from doing stuff considered traditionally feminine or dysphoria from doing stuff considered traditionally masculine for being "misogynists" ??
7. i never said to dismiss housework and pass it off to women. the original tiktok comments + the replies and rbs on my post are filled with people still doing housework tasks, albeit with difficulty. them being uncomfortable does not mean they are not still doing housework or forcing women to do it.
8. weirdo r/dical "feminists" like you have proven that the quickest way to piss yall off is not by causing any actual harm to women, but advocating for marginalized men :P

i love the lesbian community but some of you guys really need to evaluate why you always immediately assume that femmes want butches and butches want femmes. the idea of butch for butch and femme for femme seems to actually disgust some of you and im sorry but that is just lesbiphobia.
also femmes can be gnc and butches can be gc. don’t know why i see so much content to the contrary? get good?
and if you’re a femme that has zero interest in butches you are not less valid and if you’re a butch with zero interest in femmes you’re so valid too.
we don’t have to be obsessed with each other we can just respect one another while acknowledging that we aren’t eachothers cup of tea.
the more we reinforce that weird obsessive attraction is the only way we can validate eachother as lesbians the more we just fucking objectify people and ostracise people that we may not be into on a personal level.

merit calls the name sagan “smart and sexy” and prefers to call him honor’s boyfriend bcus his name is just so attractive. i don’t know what is so sexy about “sagan”.

merit is more covered up at the pool than honor, because she doesn’t feel as confident (see the above screenshots). i will forgive merit’s problematic thinking above because honestly i think teenagers can and do think like that. what i will NOT be forgiving here is that luck starts bothering her about it and insinuating that everyone has already seen what she looks like under the t shirt because they can see honor. bro you are an adult and her step uncle stop trying to make her reveal more of her body and stop implying that just because they’re identical twins they’re the same person. luck is also trying to therapise her and wants to get to “the root of” why merit is so much less confident and outgoing than her sister. luck reveals that the reason victoria no longer speaks to him is because he ran away after stealing and pawning all of her jewellery including extremely sentimental inherited pieces. merit uses this as once again a reason to hate victoria for being the stepmom: “Funny how Victoria needs apologies from people, but she’s never once apologized to any of us for tearing out family apart.”

tl;dr : a ragtag found family (they're autistic and trans) find themselves battling space-cops with their newly acquired elemental powers because some autistic robot wanted to LARP as Its favorite anime
Zane
It's an alien-robot thingy from space
Like canon! Zane, It uses an hologram to appear human
Even by alien-robot standard, It's autistic
It became fascinated and enamoured with humans and Magical Girls so much that It revealed Itself to a few humans and gave them elemental abilities to create Its own Magical Girls team (that's what happens when the 'tism wins i guess)
It doesn't care that "Magical Girls" is supposed to be a gendered term 🤷🏼
Revealing Itself to humans is an alien crime, so now It's on the run
Most of the threats the Team fights is literally just alien-robot cops coming after It
Prefers It/Its pronouns, but because bigots use those maliciously, It only uses them with Its close friends. With everyone else, It prefers they/them slightly, but is mostly apathetic
Doesn't know how old It is in Earth year, but knows It's a young adult by Its specie's standard

I'm aroace and coming up on my 1 year anniversary of engagement to my lovely fiance who is not aro or ace and I do not use the term qpp. I have the type of relationship that tends to cause a lot of arguments so when irl people or strangers ask I just say I'm straight. (There's also an added layer of confusion from some people since I'm an ace guy and that seems to be a hot button topic rn)
I tend not to share this because people who know that I'm aroace think that I was previously going through a phase when I say I love my partner. I do love my partner but I'm still aroace and it looks different and this is the first time I've ever felt so secure with another person and what we were able to create is beautiful because I stopped listening to people tell me what a relationship is or should be. And we work amazingly together.

like romantic attraction has a bunch of "symptoms" (again value neutral i canmot stress enough that im not like anti people who like romance hfkshdjsj) like yk liking someone a bunch or butterflies in their stomach or like. yk whatever doesnt matter you get what i mean. the different thoughts and feelings and experiences that typically come up when someone is romantically attracted to someone. what im saying is i dont think there is *actually* a single Romantic Feeling people get, i think a lot of people just have a very similar experience, and so it sort of becomes a seperate thing yk. there isnt actually a Romantic Emotion but its a combo of a bunch of stuff that alot of people experience close enough to each others experiences that it is helpful for it to be named something.
but like. then people assume the Thing is actually real. or not that it isnt real but like. that the Thing came first and is law. when really its just a bunch of components that commonly make up the thing. and so when you share alot of those components of the Thing (saying i love you or being in a relationship that isnt a qpr with an allo person), people will say that you feel the Thing. but *you* know that you dont.
i dont really know where im going with this other than like. i wish people didnt see aro and ace people (specifically aro people jfksjsjs) as like. either you feel the Thing or you Dont. like 1. the Thing (romantic attraction) is something allo people cant even define comprehensibly and 2. the human experience is so varied that like. every single person is different and its v frustrating when people shit on others for not fitting into their idea of what that type of person is (shitting on aro people for not being what they think aro people are).
god this is nonsense im sorry but hopefully you understand what i mean. tl;dr everyone is different and everyones experiences of queer labels are different, id argue *especially* aro and ace people, and if you shit on aro and ace people for acting or feeling in a way you didnt expect or like, im killing you with a chainsaw
hopefully you can find other people who are not weird about your aroace-ness and if you ever need to talk about it id be down ^u^

Lain tickles my brain in a way I can't describe, I want to study him. How's his thoughts on Mariner and in what ways because so far we know there's very few normal conversations between them. What sort of relationships does he have with other characters? Also I have no coherent questions for her but know I'm staring at Wolf Intently as well.
Lain's genuine thoughts on Mariner are complex I think. On one hand, Mariner is a big weirdo who has complete control over Lain's life and the only way for him to escape that is to die but he's not allowed that either. The Flock (the group that won the war) need him for political reasons as he was the previous king's right hand man and they want that persuasive power over his followers. But Lain is used to someone having complete control over his life. Even though Lain feels fondly about The King, that's also what he did. Even in that one strip that I made, Lain wasn't able to name himself when he came out as trans, he was given a pre-OK'd name from the king, which I wouldn't describe as.......a healthy relationship. So despite how much Lain doesn't like the situation with Mariner, it is a sort of a like. comfortable role to slot himself into where he can pretend Mariner is his dead king.
On the other hand, Lain does have sympathy for Mariner. Lain is the reason Canary died. Lain is the one that killed Canary in battle during the war, and he does feel bad about that. But he probably only feels bad because it's biting him in the ass. I think Lain knows deep down that one of the reasons Mariner is so weird and so "every conversation is a game" to him is because it's a cruel little joke to get back at Lain for killing Canary. I have a lot to say about these two's dynamics <3 sorryyyy <3
Lain's relationship with like every other character isn't great, since they were all on opposite sides of the war. Lain is afraid of Condor and Crane, finds Warbler harmless, is wary of Scout, and has probably tried the hardest to have a relationship with Grouse. Grouse is in the same kind of Situation as Lain, where Grouse is indebted to Condor and is basically Condor's little servant. Lain wanted solidarity with Grouse on this front, but Grouse has deluded himself so much and truly believes that Condor loves him and that he could leave whenever he wanted. He truly does not believe he's in the same situation as Lain, and in fact, resents that Lain even thinks they could be.

i cant fucking sleep. so here are assorted notes on the dgs mycroft thats been attempting to form in my head instead. like a bacteria culture
On the technical, actually-thinking-about-it-a-little side of things, i think the probably DGS Tonally Fitting thing to do for mycroft characterization and also like the funniest is focus on & play up the ways hes different from sherlock as much as possible. man has 0 energy 0 flair for the dramatic, talks as little as he can get away with, deadly fucking serious at almost all times.
however he should still be weird as hell. but hes convinced he isnt. And not in the vein of AA characters like phoenix or ryuu or susato where theyre totally normal at a glance, at first glance, but are weird beneath the surface in subtle ways when you stop and look for it. he is just as blatantly obvious constantly a weirdo freak as sherlock (but in a Different Way) but is 100% convinced that while sherlock is super weird, he is a Paragon of Complete Normality. A Regular Human Being. everything he does is normal (everything he does is weird)
i cant decide if the better Sibling Dynamic is “they get along well <3” or “They hate each other unironically.” either way they have solidarity forged in the fire of both being autistic when they did not know anyone else who was
I can understand why DGS did not choose to even hint at the concept of Mycroft existing, because of The Implications. By which I mean I cannot fucking begin to conceive of what to do with the “he’s smarter/more observant than sherlock” thing. Handwaving or ignoring it is boring but what the fuck does that MEAN here. We’ll get back to it later!

1) you're so passionate! you care so much when you love someone/thing and it's really amazing, i always love getting texts from you that are a mile long about something you really care about.
2) this icon of a person helped organize a wholeass university magazine AND got me into it which really ultimately helped me realize what I wanted as a writer and with my life and basically girlbossed (gender neutral) so hard the magazine is now a regularly offered course at our university
3) if i've ever seen a uquiz on tumblr or had someone send me a uquiz, i can guarantee it's getting sent to sam. we r uquiz buddies and honestly that's such a solid cornerstone of friendship

i think the things the few people i hate have in common is that they're manipulative weirdos who got away with double-standards. they're the people who get exceptions from everyone around them regardless of their behavior - bonus points for behavior that they vilified me for. somehow, yes, i do have multiple people in mind for this one! i wish upon them loneliness and dissatisfaction for the rest of their lives :)

First time watching ToH S1E10 (Escape of the Palisman). Thoughts below:
Detailed thoughts:
Learning the Bat Queen’s backstory almost got me to tear up. A very touching, humanizing moment for one of the characters I least expected to have one.
The tragedy of the Bat Queen lies in what she is: a palisman. Although its never explained to us, it doesn’t need to be: a palisman is a pal to its creator first and foremost and a talisman second.
The fact that the Bat Queen was abandoned by her creator, as if she was just an object, a broken tool that needed to be replaced, is heartbreaking. The fact that the Bat Queen found the strength to seek and protect other like her who were abused and neglected like her is heartwarming, and ties into the show’s ongoing themes of identity and solidarity. As Luz says in E1, “us weirdos have to stick together,” which is exactly what the Bat Queen does.
After what she’s been through, its impossible to fault the Bat Queen for not wanting Owlbert to go back to what seems to be a neglectful home life living w/ someone whose actions led to him being physically harmed. The Bat Queen sees who she used to be in Owlbert, and wants to protect them.
While I found the Bat Queen’s willingness to protect Owlbert from the start to be admirable, I have to extend that same admiration to Luz. At any point, Luz could listened to her friends and went back to get Eda, but to Luz, the Bat Queen’s trials are more than just saving Owlbert. Luz needs to show Owlbert and the Batqueen, prove to them, that she cares about him. More than anything else, it’s a matter of trust.
Thinking over the B plot w/ King, I can see that the writers wanted to create a parallel between Luz and King’s actions this episode, since both end up using one of their friends for their own goals, who follow their lead out of a sense of trust, only for them to inadvertently break it later on and spend the rest of the episode trying to regain it, but I’m not entirely convinced.
Luz’s actions do end up being more nuanced than King’s considering that Luz’s motive wasn’t entirely self-centered (as she also wanted to make things up to Willow and Gus, who would be missing the game because of her) and because she go to to get permission from Eda (although whether she actually believed King’s word that Eda approved or just rationalized that she did is less clear).
Speaking of Eda, there’s still a lot of mystery surrounding her curse. Considering that Eda's vision/memory is now causing her to disassociate in public, while the elixir can only bring her back w/ an emotional prompt, I have a feeling that we’ll be getting another curse-focused episode next.
General thoughts:
Bonesborough: home to a well-funded public library and children’s Slayground, but also a giant dilapidated track over the town. 2/3′s not bad.
Owlbert is precious ;v;
Eda made Owlbert confirmed! Owlbert’s a Palisman, made from the branch of an ancient tree. I suppose this confirms that witches make their own personalized staves (which reinforces the idea that Eda’s always been into owls).
Eda doesn’t know anything about her curse but has had it for “longer than [Luz was] alive.”
We’ve got the name of a new location outside of Bonesborough: Glandus High.

When does Luz get her own school uniform? Sure she gets some Hexside pride clothes immediately after I wrote that, but I’m talking robes!

Willow’s parents work. That doesn’t tell me much, but that + the comment about the abomination track having more opportunities seems to indicate that Willow isn’t from an influential family like Amity.
Eda needs to get more elixir considering she’s already down to one bottle again. Nevermind, the elixir doesn’t do jack anymore.
