Weapons File from Battle Action Force No. 598, dated 18 October 1986. The SA80 or Enfield Endeavour as it is called here. Introduced in the British Armed Forces in 1985, but upgraded by Heckler & Koch in the 2000's, it's probably more commonly referred to as the L85 family of guns with the most recent variant being the L85 A3.

It replaced the SLR (Self-Loading Rifle), otherwise known as the L1A1, the FAL (if you're a Call of Duty player) or "that gun with the wooden bits you got with Action Man".

The Light Support Weapon, the L86, shown above had also been given the commercial name of the Enfield Engager.

The L86 family are a "bullpup" design where the trigger grip is located in front of the breech and magazine instead of behind them, reducing the overall length of the gun. In the case of the SA80, and some other bullpups, this made firing them left-handed (or with a dominant left eye) 'difficult' as the ejection port is next to the face and the bullet cases exited to the right. This could result in quite a mouthful. Some bullpups are ambidextrous so not sure why the L85 was set up like this other than tradition. The FAMAS, for example, was the first bullpup in military service in the 1970's but could be converted to either left or right handed use.

The L85 is going to be replaced soon. I don't think a final decision has been made however some parts of the UK Armed Forces are going to be issued with the non-bullpup Knight's Stoner 1 (KS-1, below).

Love how the Titans are literally walking out of the boom tube, coming back from an emotionally devastating mission, and before the portal is even fully closed Wally's like "Alright, full disclosure I did fully search the bad guy's liar and steal their shit"

One of their closest childhood friends, whom they all love and trust, is working for the bad guys and told them all that he thinks humanity sucks, and everyone is devastated and Wally's just like "....... I took their rock... I don't know what it is but it looked important...?"

I just... Good god I love this man. Garth has a dramatic villain reveal and Wally just presses pause and walks away to go check out the storage closets to see what he can steal. He's a menace. I love him so much.

All the fucked up psychological "tests" interviewers will put potential employees through during the job application process is often absolutely ridiculous and borderline inhumane but... imagine if we took this same idea and start using it for political candidates. Just really put 'em through the ringer to "just watch how they handle stressful situations". And it's a much bigger deal than a normal job interview so we could budget something for it. Maybe rent some sharks

I doubt Wu would train him against Misako’s wishes (see every episode of Season 1 before 10), but Lloyd would definitely come across them eventually

Plus given her mild reaction to Lloyd’s growth and the fact that he recognizes each her, she only left recently, when he was older

Plus plus, he would be safe at Darkly’s, Garmadon is literally Kruncha and Nuckal’s boss, they can’t hurt him

Were there better choices she could’ve made? Yes, but that doesn’t mean the choice she made was wrong.

A headache pulses between his temples as he makes his way back to his room. Which is less of a “room” and more of a cell carved out of a chunk of temple that the warped reality of the place had decided could be semi-permanent. Sometimes.

Surprise! Bet you weren't expecting two posts in the same week, let alone something from an earlier chapter :b As always, go read A Dark Among the Lights by LuckyLectio on AO3!

The room's design was influenced by Ganon's Tower in alttp, featuring a door mimic from the Minish Cap and (a bit obviously) some malice from botw. It was fun adding little details while keeping with the empty vibe I got from the description in the fic. Get this man a bed, not even necessarily to sleep in but just to have somewhere comfy to rest.

Sal and Kim Friendship Headcanons-

[CW: Unsanitary, bullying, weapon, mentions of murder and death, in-game themes]

>On the day everyone finds out Mrs. Packerton had died, Kim gives Sal the last of the bologna she has in the cafeteria walk-in because she knows how much he and his friends liked it. Sal is touched by the gesture and somehow manages not to gag while thanking her for it.

>When Sal goes through the lunch line, he and Kim always exchange pleasantries and have short chats about the birds in the courtyard, current school events, the latest episodes of popular TV shows, etc.

>Kim insists on giving Sal extra big helpings of food and will scold him if he doesn't finish what she scoops onto his tray.

"You are a growing boy Sally, you must eat so you can become big and strong! Now, go sit and finish before bell, or you get BIG BROCCOLI with NO CHEESEY SAUCE for dessert tomorrow!!"

Sal finds it a little irksome, especially when he's already stuffed to the gills, but does his best to comply because it admittedly feels nice to be subjected to a bit of motherly doting once in a while.... (Push comes to shove, Chug is always happy to help him make those last few bites disappear.)

>If one of them is absent due to sickness, the other takes note and worries. (Kim, because she can't help but be a bit of a mother hen over Sal, and Sal, because he fears the D.O.G. has claimed another person in his life as a victim.) They always expresses their concern and relief when the absentee returns to school.

>They empathize with each other regarding their respective deformities/disabilities and the othering they both experience because of said conditions.

Kim understands feeling self-conscious about appearances, as she's very sensitive about hers, but encourages Sal to be proud of who he is and to not be afraid to knock some sense into those who say otherwise (to do this, she suggests utilizing a sock full of pennies. "Is lunch money that helps you keep your other lunch money! 😉").

Sal always sticks up for Kim any time one of the other students mocks her appearance, whether she's around to hear it or not. ("Kim may not be a looker, but at least she's not a rude, shallow asshat. Hope you REALLY LIKE the crustiest corner of the mac and cheese tray, cuz that's what you're gonna be eating every Tuesday until summer break. 🤷‍♂️")

>When his senior year is coming to an end, Kim gives Sal an old and obviously well-loved birding book as a graduation gift. The handwritten note on the inside of the cover reads:

Sally,

Spread your wings and fly like the birdies!

Your friend,

Kim

(P.S. Keep eating your veggies, you will grow soon!)

While Sal doesn't really use it, he keeps it on his bookshelf as a memento. He pages through it occasionally to look at the nice pictures and to do a little reminiscing about one of the precious few positive experiences he had while attending Nockfell High School.

>After the Addison Apartment murders, Kim is one of the few people who steps forward to be a character witness for Sal during his trial. Despite all the evidence against him, she insists that Sally is a

'... kind, smart, sweet boy. He cause mischief, been in some rough and tumbles, yes, but he NEVER MURDER anyone!! Kim is SURE about that!!"

Ultimately, her testimony was discredited by the prosecution for various nitpicky reasons, but Sal appreciated her vouch of confidence all the same....

I've been working on that group of "mercenaries for a little while now and a couple of side projects as well. I wanna show off some of the weapons/tools that belong to my characters by themselves. I'll give a full descriptor for each of them some where along the line. I'm almost done building the group and really exited to show them off together. Fair warning though, it'll be a real long Post.
