America is such a mess I can’t

Well, why can't men get vasectomys?
"Oh, tHaT's FoRcInG mEn To Do SoMeThInG tHeY dOn'T wAnT tO dO!"
But it's okay to force women to give birth and carry a parasite turned baby for 9 months while it destroys her body? Even though under the legal definition of torture and what that includes is forced birth. You rather force women to get their tubes tied (which might also become illegal) which is much more dangerous and harmful than a procedure that is barely invasive and you experience only DISCOMFORT for 24 hours and it's reversible.
No.
Youd rather force women to put their body in harms way to carry something that may kill her. Youd rather force her to have her rapist child even if she is a child as well. Youd rather force her to carry around a dead fetus in her belly and force her to give birth to it, otherwise it's considered an abortion and she gets in legal trouble. Youd rather her go in complete debt. Youd rather doctors save a fetus without a brain than a dying living mother. Youd rather force a child to have a parasite turn baby cus it might cure cancer, but what about that child? What if she could have cured cancer or grown into a "productive" adult but now can't because she was forced to give up her life.
Youd rather force a woman to be searched and trialed for murder if she has a miscarriage, or lose her right to vote. Or to force her to kill herself as banning abortions doesn't get rid of them, just the safe ones. Countries with abortions banned have higher women's death rate, but the mothers life doesn't matter does it?
Youd rather force a child into a foster or adoption system that is already overstuffed and horribly managed and the kids are horribly treated. Or force children to grow up in an abusive household instead.
Youd rather force women to consult with men before they are allowed health care or contraceptives (which may also get banned). You'd rather force women to keep their legs closed even though a woman can get pregnant maybe once a year (MAYBE) and a man can impregnate 9 women everyday for 9 months. You'd rather shame the woman than the man despite no birth control or preventative is 100 percent and men like to complain condoms "don't feel as good". Men can barely pick up that weight, easier for them to force all of it on the woman to prevent discomfort, despite the fact hes 9 times out of 10 not able to get her off anyways.
Youd rather force a WOMAN to go through every mental and physical pain imaginable and be okay with that, but the thought of forcing a man to feel a pinch in the groin for a day is unspeakable?
You want to FORCE a woman to give birth. Pro-choice never force women to get an abortion, we want women to have a CHOICE. Big difference.
We are NOT breeding stock for men nor should one have more say over a woman's body. You want to get rid of abortion because of the "babies". Then how about you advocate of the ones already alive. How about you focus on the children in the system and fight to give them a better life. How about you fight for better sex education and better women's health care. How about you pick up the slack and get that procedure. You think a egg or a parasite has more value than a mother's life, but okay with clinics dumping semen and embryos all the time? If you cared about babies than you wouldn't forget about them once they are born.
Your not pro LIFE. You have little value of what is living. Your pro BIRTH and control. Youd rather force your values and beliefs on other people. That's what you care about.

(different anon) The links don't work for me either. Maybe it's an Android/Apple issue? I know they behave differently. I'm on Android and it doesn't work, so if you're on Apple maybe that's why it does work for you.
As for why... My theory is that it's the "/chrono" in the link. My experience is that this app doesn't behave with most links to Tumblr pages. Since it tries to open them in the app natively (instead of in a popup browser like external links), even if it doesn't support that type of page (like links to people's custom FAQ pages I never see working).
Normally links to /tagged pages do work, but perhaps the /chrono is giving the android app problems? That's my theory at least
The issue literally is just that the links don't work in the mobile app. Please use your phone's browser in order to access the links.
The links HAVE to be specified as "chronological" or you would be reading the comic backwards. We aren't going to change it and make the comic unreadable on 2 out of the 3 platforms one can access Tumblr on just because Tumblr staff refuses to fix their app to properly redirect to a URL function their website uses.
I'm sorry but I don't care about the why when Tumblr should be able to display its own webpages, but doesn't. When I say we can't fix a problem Tumblr caused this is exactly what I mean. To "fix" the problem would be to display the comic backwards. You (everyone who has messaged us over the past year or so about this issue) are just going to have to use your phone's browser.

this isnt about anyone or anything in particular just general fandom behavior ive seen but im begging people to rethink how they react to discussions about sexuality when it comes to lgbtq+ minor fictional characters. Fandoms aren’t teaching-learning spaces in the traditional sense by any means, but for queer teens (like a lot of us once were) sometimes it becomes the only space in which you are recognized.
the argument i see the most is about protecting minors and accusing everyone of being a creep at the slightest mention of implied attraction. but... by doing that you’re doing the opposite of protecting them😭. you can make a lot of queer kids feel like their attraction isn’t something natural. like they’re the odd ones out, especially if they grow up surrounded by their straight friends who get to talk about that openly and have a million stories to relate to.
I was just thinking about the way sttwt has been known to react whenever someone implies mike and will are attracted to each other and the way they treated authors about their fics in which they KISS.
im genuinely asking. do you not want lgbtq+ teens to grow up with stories they can relate to and make them feel less alone. and i don’t mean nsf//. im talking about being able to write fics which feature these conversations in a respectful way without people making authors go through hell. one of the best examples i can think of is the latest plot of the heartstopper comic. the characters are 16, in a relationship and they talk about sex, boundaries and consent with each other and their friends. And the thing is, coming of age stories about straight characters growing up include these topics most of the time. i do not understand why do you want it to be different for queer kids. you are making the same arguments as conservative people, the same ones they use to fire teachers who DARE to mention lgbtq+ kids exist too, the same ones they use in states where they’re controlling the school libraries (mind you im not even american, but i heard about it). you’re advocating for the wrong cause here i’m begging you to understand.
some heartstopper screenshots bc i love it and the Normal way in which the author (an adult. bc then there’s the ppl who demonize you as soon as you turn 18 and are still part of fandom spaces) handles the discussion of sexuality.
