sometimes I wonder why the yugi twins aren't together when they are amazing there he continues with his duties and has fun with his friends but when tsukasa is mentioned in front of him he can't help but he sad he even knows about his actions but does nothing for him are they considered tow apposing forces that would be dongerous to bring together ?? What do you think??

Hanako reacts as if he suffers from Post Traumatic Disorder (it's nothing confirmed, it's just a comparison) and it seems that Amane's trauma is directly related to Tsukasa, so he has crises when he sees his brother, he is always in shock (even if sometimes it's quick) when he sees Tsukasa. He is petrified and his eyes are frozen.

Over time, Hanako got used to his presence. See that while he reacts like that when he sees Tsukasa, they still hug right after.

Hanako is very good at hiding how he's feeling, even in cases as strong as this. He can't be around Tsukasa anymore without feeling sad or uncomfortable.

Maybe this happens because of Tsukasa, or because of the creature, or because of the whole situation that caused Tsukasa's death, or because of the guilt he feels. He doesn't like to remember the past, and Tsukasa is part of it, in fact Tsukasa is directly linked to the sin he committed.

The one who avoids contact is Hanako, he interacts with Tsukasa when they eventually meet unintentionally, but he prefers to escape the situation. If it were up to Tsukasa, they would continue to be the way they were before, he would even ask him to play, like they did before.

It's sad, but Hanako can't deal with Tsukasa and the past yet. Despite this, Hanako still shows that he loves Tsukasa, just the fact that he is his yorishiro says a lot how much Hanako loves him.

Despite this, they seem to be working together towards the same goal, but the relationship between them is "broken". We don't know if yorishiro is the real person/object or is a representation. If it's a representation, Hanako runs away from him because he would remember that his real brother is dead.

It's sad, but until we know what happened between them, we will never understand exactly how Hanako truly feels about his brother.

About them being mysterious forces to come together is a possibility. This image here of the anime's ending theme

It shows the two becoming one and that "spectre" below is huge compared to the joudais. Maybe if these two come together they can become that God? It's an interesting hypothesis, if the two come together in this animation, this spectrum appears in the dark part, we know that the red part is after death, and the black part?

Look at this image, they kiss in the "red area" that is, on the far shore. And that's not what happened? They kissed on the far shore, at the end you see Yashiro crossing from the white part to the red part.

We've been receiving spoilers this whole time at the end theme of the anime XD

So, it could be that the union of the two is problematic too, they both seem to have that dark spot on their chest, so, the same creature?

Jshk109 - abt Tsukasa

i don't get why some people are angry about Tsukasa in the latest chapter. He's already beaten one mystery in their own boundary before - what's so surprising about another?

Plus, he's already made tons of progress regarding the fulfillment of Sakura's wish, I would hate to see it wasted now, especially with the mystery behind it all. He’s dedicated enough for me to respect and cheer him on. He’s gotten pretty far! (secretly hoping for some extra information! Maybe something relating to his contract with Sakura or her wish??!)

Tsukasa has always been one main force driving the plot, even more so now which makes me rather confused. From his first few appearances his goal is clear and is a very powerful presence which never really made me wonder when he’d have to face a troubling opponent because from the get go he’s been pretty unbeatable…which makes me have lots of questions and therefore mark him as an interesting character. Still a lot to uncover about him though!

Again, this is only one chapter, we’re unsure how the rest is going to play out so i doubt Tsukasa will have the easiest time weaseling out of this one, there’s more to come which I’m excited for!! Dunno if we’re gonna delve into the yugi twins past some more since we got a few crumbs today! If anything i’d bet Hanako would be the only one capable of stopping Tsukasa. I’d preferably want that. The twins have had scarce interactions these few chapters, i hope we get some real conversations between them in the future.

Just wanted to share my thoughts since i really didn’t think it was an issue, i might not be making much sense but what do u think? I’m not trying to be negative, just generally curious at how others might be feeling about chapter 109.

hai heart !! its me again , anon :3 have you got any so called au ideas of mystery n8 nene ?? nene’s name involves the number “8” , so of course people are theorising that she’ll become the 8th mystery. if so, the mystery of what ? 🤍

I'm certainly aware of how Nene's name alludes to the number 8, since other characters have numbers correlating to their seat #. A maddening detail honestly... I will admit, it's not the sort of thing I can think of as an 'AU' so much as... 'There's this thing being foreshadowed that I have to brace myself for.' I've more or less just stared at this detail and felt helpless and confused lol. What is sensei trying to tell me!? <- I'm too busy thinking this and crying...

Beyond that, I can't really think of an 8th mystery the same as I would the others, too strugglesome. I mean, if we try and imagine it like 'we tack on No. 8 with the others' it would mean that a new seat could be created that doesn't previously exist. How... do you do that... But like, we don't know how the previous mysteries were made... Were there always 7?? If not, how do you add more, who decides(or decided) that? Would a rumor have to be made to make way for this mystery Nene-? Or could she manifest before having a rumor-?? Is being appointed just a matter of someone saying so, or is there more to it? (More prerequisites?) We don't even know what Sakura does when she appoints someone, and Tsukasa seems to exist outside of the system's typical conventions so I can't base too much on what he does with Mitsuba...

Each mystery seems to have jurisdiction over some, element, aspect of the world. But these concepts are as broad as 'time', 'life/death' and 'records'... While I like the story of JSHK and analyzing it is lots of fun, I feel like I cannot really simulate Iro-sensei's thought process— not enough to conceive of what an '8th Mystery' would dictate...

So... that's me being pedantic about a bunch of things. BUT... What I can tell you, that I've thought of on my own: I don't actually think Nene will 'become a mystery' in the manner we've seen... I think being "8" actually means she's something new, errr... rule-breaking? That's the vibe I get from her... I think Nene's existence is a bit of an anomaly. There are various things about her yet to be explained.

(MY SMALL ADDENDUM TO THIS is the fact that No. 7 already seems to operate differently than 1-6, so we already don't know enough about THAT guy... arghh.)

Why is Nene a kannagi? Aoi's family history explains her position, but somehow I doubt this is the case for Nene as well? So... where is her blessed nature coming from? And it's eerie, you know... how she meets Hanako just in time to be there to commence yorishiro, as the broadcast club orchestrates rumors. Why is that? What were they going to do if Hanako never got his hands on a kannagi...? Their goals are quite exact, with little room for error, aren't they... hm.

Nene has technically, from the twins' chronological perception, been interacting with them multiple times throughout their life. So her fate has been tied to the Yugi 'since the beginning' of this story... The cherry on top is the fact that her lifespan is inextricable from the existence of the mysterys' yorishiro. For whatever reason, if you get rid of all the mysteries, Nene will die. All I can infer from this is Nene's very existence is tied to that of the mysteries, so — I don't think she will become a part of the system, as much as she is already deeply involved in it? ...?? Perhaps she is already... No. 8? In SOME manner? You feel me??

My wife's even pointed out, it's troublesome Nene is already an isolated weird girl who gets whispered about in the halls... what 'rumors' exist of her already, we don't know. I wonder how blurred this line between human/kaii/mystery can be. There's no way to know, but... something to chew over. (The recent ASHK chapter showing an ominous dream that calls to question Nene's authenticity was designed to make me insane btw.)

Last thing I will say, prolly will seem out of nowhere but, my gut tells me Nene's existence... is tied to the well god, and Tsukasa. If the god inside Tsukasa / is the same god the mysteries are deriving power from / then Nene's lifespan is directly correlated to that god's power being unleashed (as the yorishiro/mysteries are simply a means of divying out these powers, controlling things like time, life, death, wishes, etc.)

It's my delusion but I'm holding out that all this information will kiss passionately someday. And-!!!!!!!!! Then I'll explode.

After chapter 108, I have a feeling that Nene will be the bridge that brings the twins together again. She already had insight that Tsukasa being a yorishiro means he’s extremely important to Hanako… and now Tsukasa has been telling his side to her, about how Hanako never answers his calls etc

They clearly care and love each other a great deal, but somehow are always just missing the mark with each other. I want to believe Nene will help them come together

ooo welcome to the team!! I think the entire structure of the manga indicates this being the central 'plot'. If we look at the bones.... we have

our protagonist, an outsider looking in, a girl falling in love with Hanako, who wishes to know about him.

our title character, who the story is 'really' about the tale of. A boy who doesn't like to talk about his past or his feelings, who has a mysterious and tantalizing history we, the reader, want to understand.

our 'antagonist' force or the one propelling the conflicts forward. The brother of the title character, a relic from his past which can talk. The only other person who knows everything (or almost everything).

Ever since Tsukasa's arrival, he's been responsible for nearly every single lore drop-- creating the rumors, leading her to the bookstacks, to Nowhere; showing up AT ALL forces Hanako to admit things to Nene-chan. We achingly want more Tsukasa, as he always comes with information and can give us hints. The smallest interaction with Amane implicates something of their bond, the thing that somehow made Hanako Hanako.

The prevailing mysteries keeping us hooked to JSHK are the twin's past. We want to know what happened, why Hanako is 'like this', how he 'got like this'. We'll never learn this quickly or all at once, because it IS the plot of JSHK. We are drip-fed information about it bit by bit, and everything learned contributes to some small part of it. We are experiencing what Nene-chan is-- the magical mystery, the presumptions and helplessness that all comes with loving Hanako. When we learn what we need to ... we'll need to figure out how to change it. Or maybe we'll learn those two things simultaneously (:

I believe wholeheartedly, as Nene-chan learns more and more about the twins, the more she will be bothered by the lack of closure and all that was left unsaid .... WEEEE know the twins are tragic, we know they were each other's world, for so long. Curing what has blackened Amane's heart will involve knowing Tsukasa... we need to understand why he killed him, what he was trying to do. The more we see what people-- Amane especially-- is capable of as a result of love, the better idea we have of how such an intimate bond could explode so brilliantly. Of all people, Nene-chan is coming to understand when and why Hanako becomes dangerous....

anyway this is also what Narisokonai Snow White is about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! made me feel insane should make everyone feel insane. A protagonist girl unraveling the complicated past of a pair of twins, who she MUST bring together, whos conflict she MUST resolve through her own insistence!!!! Because nobody else will ever know or care but her!!!!!!!! I think it's a very amazing way to tell a story!!!!! Even if I don't care about a specific character in JSHK, I am always interested because of how it will all, always, lead us back to the Yugi, thematically.

Nene-chan is so good at just getting frustrated with them lol... much like the biggest climax of Snow White where Neige just shouts at Estelio to go with her to help Rasphard (who is. about to commit suicide, whether Neige fully understands that or not...).... and finally just asks him if he hates his brother. By God do I hope we get Nene-chan directly asking Amane anything about Tsukasa ....

Nene-chan!!! She can help the Yugi!!!! With her, we can know what Amane really feels!!!!! ROMANCE-OBSESSED GIRL and HEARTSEEING BOY must pin dodgy Amane between them. Or maybe Amane and Nene-chan need to pin Tsukasa between them before he figures out how to disappear completely and utterly this time.

Yugi was born a girl, inspired by the fact that I found out that Atem is in fact commonly used as a girl's name. Yes I am aware of the fact that mythology states that there was an Atem who was the father of Bast, but once my brain had started ticking, well… here you go. I need to document this interaction that happened between me and my wife in bed that I think about all the time now, because it really surmises how we can rile each other up. WE WERE doing our usual thing, laying around and fawning and giggling about fandom with one another, having some sort of discussion about JSHK specifically.

we were sort of roundtabling potential scenarios for what the keys nene gets from amane are for, and like i have an inexplicable delusion that nene is going to time travel one last time and use those keys to enter a pivotal scene. namely, like, running in and witnessing the yugi twins’ murder first-hand. whether it’s like just as it happened or in the aftermath, just as amane is going to kill himself, w/e, we’re just sitting there talking about it.

and in my mind’s eye, i see it like... nene has a moment of haunting eye contact with amane, while tsukasa is deceased beneath him, clearly having just been murdered. and i tell avvy my thought, about the prolonged eye contact. but avvy is like “see i was envisioning it like [the scene in hannibal with] garret jacob hobbs, where he goes ‘see? you see?’ *avvy doing a ghoulish impression*” and—

in saying this, avvy totally rips me from my immersion, and. okay so, when i imagine stuff, it’s kind of “happening to me” very easily, I feel as though i’m in the scene, so i uncontrollably react to suggestions of events. you can think of it like, in detailing events, i start experiencing them in real time, even if i don’t like what’s happening. i cannot control this. you could describe to me that i’m eating a spoonful of peanut butter and i’m like mm yes yummy yummy ^^ and then you could say the spoon is now full of spiders and i’ll like panic. so.

in this case, avvy saying this line, immediately made the dead tsukasa in my mental image, like 1. blip out from under amane to propped up in the corner somewhere instead 2. open his eyes despite having just been dead, and speak in a scary ominous voice at nene (whose POV i am gazing through).

so. my reaction to this, visceral scary nightmare vision, was just to let out a tiny scream, like, [kinda muffled and quiet cuz we’re in bed but still high & sharp] AaaAAaaAHHH . and then, immediately in succession, avvy let’s out a tiny scream in mirror to me, because she got frightened by her own concept that she just created.

so literally we’re laying there in bed like SCREAAAA!!! and clutching and comforting each other over the scary images in our head like wahhh. mwah mwah nuzzle nuzzle shoosh shoosh. it’s just soo cartoonish and funny, that it could happen like that...

AidaIro’s au’s are really Nene’s stories

I want to share something I always thought about regarding AidaIro’s Hanako au’s (ghost hotel, hoto, playing cards etc) I was talking out my ideas with Cat and Hope and by doing so I have something cohesive to share.

In my head I can actually imagine Nene being the one to come up with all these au’s cause she’s so creative and in her own fantasy world sometimes. She loves romantic things but also loves odd and dark things so I could see the au’s fitting that.

(That’s @thehopeelias art btw that she did for a Tiny Light cover/animatic we collabed together on here)

Monster Nursery

I think the other au’s are easier to see her come up with but I still think Nene would come up with the nursery one as well. Because it would be her desire to see Hanako as a teacher/researcher all grown up. And then she would just make it in the “unique way” Nene always does.

In some way she would want to see what the Yugi twins were like together grown up. And she added Kou to the story as well cause he’s their friend too. She wants to see them older and doing good things. But mostly she wants to make him into something he would be proud of and also see what the brothers would have been like together sharing that success, passion, and happiness.

Nene for this specific AU of Amane being a grown up researcher/teacher, she would be the child in this situation. Mitsuba is always a child, let’s be real. And the mokke... well the mokke are kinda like pet hamsters lol.

And because she loves monsters (like her veggie monsters) she’d want to make herself the coolest fire breathing monster of all of them.

She’d want to know Tsukasa more and how he would act as this adult who got to live out his dreams with his brother. Therefore she would attach herself to him just to bond with him more and see how he can be. How she can imagine him being.

In regards to Mitsuba, I think the only reason she put him in it is cause she’s never seen Mitsuba and Hanako interact and she would just be curious how Hanako would respond and be a father figure like Sensei/researcher to him. So that’s the reason for that.

The mokke were all that was left, she wants to see what Kou would be like caring for something. There’s no better reason for that one being just a mokke. Also Nene knows that he has a little sister he cares for, so taking care of the mokke is easy for him.

Ghost Hotel

The dark magical fantasies like Ghost hotel represents the desire she should be afraid of but secretly craves. Along with the obvious enticing mystery.

Royal (Playing Cards)

The Royal one is what she dreams of like having a prince riding a white horse. But does she really want that? Maybe she wants it a bit darker. A ruthless ruler that her country is at odds with or that is against the way she thinks a prince should be because she says she wants one thing but what she truly wants is a bit of a dark prince. A prince that can sweep her off her feet and rule the kingdom, protect her, and give her luxury in this all powerful fantasy.

Hanako of the Opera

The opera one represents mystery, wanting to know the man (the ghost) that she spends time with that no one knows about. At the same time still not knowing anything about him. At the same time he starts revealing little by little his past tragedy and judgment.

I think of this one line from phantom all of the time. I don’t know if I know if I got the wording exactly but he says something like:

“Why should I show compassion? The world has never shown compassion to me!”

It is very representative of Hanako’s true self. Showing more pain and passion and sorrow and darkness that she puts into this fantasy. Nene created this one to be more raw than the other ones.

Phantom Thief

Phantom thief... I only just recently kinda opened my eyes to phantom thief so.... To start with there are 2 versions. Technically.

One can just be her revised draft of a fantasy story. I’ll just say that. Similar to how a writer often goes back and changes things in their writing. It’s exactly like that. Even changing character roles. For example Nene as a waitress then Nene as detective.

But as far as the reasoning for the phantom thief fantasy is concerned...

Mystery and puzzle solving go together, yes, but...

Hanako’s ultimate goal is to steal the moon.

I’m still working this out but maybe in some underlying way it also represents unachievable dreams.

Additionally it represents Hanako as an outcast (like how phantom is) being “WANTED” by the Minamotos, who are the police. And then Nene working under Tsuchigomori. They aren’t trying to catch the phantom necessarily but mainly trying to uncover more information as detectives do. It is also like how Nene goes to Tsuchigomori for answers about Hanako which he doesn’t give her but at the same time Tsuchigomori sees that she has uncovered more about how Amane can be.

“In all the years I’ve known him I’ve never seen number 7 act like that.”

Tsukasa would be the one Hanako robbed from. Just like he robbed Tsukasa of his life when he killed him. In a deeper sense maybe taking away Tsukasa’s greatest treasure in his eyes, Amane himself. Nene would be the one that Tsukasa hires to do the investigating in this fantasy. Tsukasa liking to mess with things, Nene liking to uncover things (that part is still a theory but it makes sense for her character).

It represents everything Nene is trying to figure out and solve about Hanako. It has the people that he has history with when he was alive, helping her to understand this fantasy and get answers into the mystery that is Hanako. Hanako being the acclaimed villain in a way.

I think that sums up my analysis of all the au’s represented as Nene’s fantasy worlds and why they are set up like that. I may add more to this post as time goes on because I feel like there’s a lot more that can be fleshed out. But because these are AidaIro’s au’s you never know how much truth is behind them. They do seem to have a lot of hidden truths. So regardless I really love thinking like this, Nene is the one that created these stories.

The different ways Nene has gone back to the Past (Mild Spoilers to JSHK Chapter 76)

After the short, adorable, scary yet interesting chapter of JSHK 76...there’s a question regarding Nene’s ability to interact with the past.

We first see Misaki Stairs Arc: we learn about Yako’s past through Nene after removing Yako’s Yorishiro.

Then again with 4pm Bookstacks Arc: Nene removed Tsuchigomori’s Yorishiro and we learn about Tsuchigomori and Yugi Amane.

Afterwards, we have Tea Party Arc which is initiated first by Sakura and Tsukasa, but then Nene was the one to open the door to Hanako’s past within many many doors to get back to the real world. Although Nene was able to be in the door area with Natsuhiko, only Nene sees Hanako’s past as she got separated with Natsuhiko (but thankfully he’s still alive).

Then we go into the past is during Summer Festival Arc, but no yorishiro was required and she was hit by a cow instead (but this was within a Supernatural domain with Hanako and Kou but only Nene went back to the past on her own again).

Then we have Picture Perfect Arc where Nene goes to Shijima’s past again without the removal of a yorishiro, but again Tsukasa was the one that initiated this event. However, she was with Shijima this time rather than being by herself.

Then we have the Summer Camp Arc, Nene and Hanako falling down the pit to meet Sumire (and Hanako states we’re still in No.6’s boundary without water). Although, it is not exactly the past, Sumire is related to No.6’s past and this time Hanako managed to go along with Nene (to try and save her ofc).

And finally, the most recent chapter. The Red House Arc features Kou and Nene entering the Red House and finding a younger Tsukasa.

Interestingly, there is no water around so it’s not technically a boundary as said by Kou.

However, there is a possibility this is still a boundary. As Hanako stated above during the JSHK chapter 66 Sumire, they were still in a boundary despite there being no water. Kou doesn’t know this if we assume Nene hasn’t told him about Sumire.

Interestingly enough, Tsukasa has been involved in 3 of these “past” situations with him initiating two of them. Although Hanako has been involved in his ones too, he did not initiate the actual time travel himself, he did so indirectly by asking Nene to remove Yorishiros, but his past was shown eventually for some of them. So maybe Tsukasa has some sort of ties to these events. Furthermore, with the Red House, Young Tsukasa has watched people past and never escape this house... could this be because of Young Tsukasa himself and there seems to be much more to the Red House than just Young Tsukasa. Could the Red House have ties with all Seven mysteries?

Also, it could be possible Nene’s abilities to go back to the past might have gotten stronger, she went from only seeing small snippets by removing Yorishiros, to actually interacting with the past for a small moment.... then for even longer with Young Amane, to then have others with her in the past (although in Shijima’s case Tsukasa initiated it) without the removal of any Yorishiro.

Maybe one day Kannagi Nene could save the twins? Maybe both Tsukasa and Hanako although through different methods...both want Nene to save them by her learning more about them rather than them telling her everything fully.

Although I’ve been referring to them as “the past”... maybe I was thinking I could call these “memories” instead... and Nene is interacting with “memories” of the supernaturals. I feel like “memories” has more of an impact as memories states certain of importance events whereas “past” could be more broad. I’m not entirely sure how to explain it but its like how experiencing the summer festival evoke the memory of Young Amane as the festival. Seeing the Lunar Rock evoked the memory of Tsuchigomori with Amane etc etc. Also, there’s a term called “Fragmentation of memory” where memories of the past are irregular and disrupted and this is could be caused by some kind of trauma. The fact we see glass fragments during these scenes, it reminds me of this term.

In one classroom, a certain choppy haired boy named Amane Yugi was looking by the window pane watching the blue sky as the clouds slowly moves in each second. He didn't talk much and is a little awkward with words when it comes to interaction, but he made an exception to someone. Her.

[name] is a new student to their class. She recently moved to Kamome during the summer. [name] doesn't really stand out that much, she's rather shy and awkward when you meet her, but when she started to talk to Amane, the two became closer and comfortable with each other.

"Yo~!" [name] pulled her chair next to Amane's desk. Her [hair color] colored hair was down and there are few hairs sticking out from different places meaning that she haven't brushed it first thing in the morning. She grinned softly. "How is my best friend doing~?"

Amane felt his heart skip a beat, he notices that her hair was a mess, he pointed a finger at her. "[name], your hair is such a mess." he smiled while pulling out a hairbrush. "Let me fix that for you."

Amane stands up and beckoned [name] to sit on his chair. "Oh, Amane-kun, it's fine." she insisted while swatting her hands.

"No, I insist." Amane grins charmingly at her. [name]'s lips formed into a thin line before sitting down on his chair. He held the hair brush and carefully brushed her hair.

"Yiee~ Yugi is brushing [surname]'s hair~!" One of their classmates mentions then soon the whole room was erupted with 'Yieee' and 'Aww'

Amane scowled at them still continuing to brush [name]'s hair. "Tch. Can you not?" he asked with a hint of annoyance on his voice. "I'm brushing her hair. It will be appreciated if you guys mind your own business and let the two of us have our quality time, yeah?"

[name] suddenly felt shy making her look down to her lap and twiddled her fingers. Due to their closure, their classmates started to ship the two, hoping that the two will end up with each other. The two didn't mind since they already have feelings for each other.

"Done~!" Amane announced as he feels proud of his work. [name] blushed, her face turning the color of a cherry tomato, taking some thick strands of hair and draped over to her face. "[name]?"

Amane smiled fondly, grabbing the chair and sat in front of [name] who was covering her face with her hair. "Hm?" she hummed. "What is it, Amane-kun?"

"Hold still."

"Eh...?"

Amane inched closer to [name], reaching his fingers towards her delicate face. He removed the strand of hair that was covering her face and tucked it behind her ear instead.

"Don't do that..." His cheeks seeped into a shade of vermillion, placing his hand on her cheek and slightly pouting his lips. "You're pretty cute, I don't want you to hide that..." he softly tells her while caressing her cheek using his thumb.

'Too close! Too close!' [name] warned herself. "Ne, Amane-kun...?" she questioned as she pointed at their classmates who were watching the whole scene unfold. Amane sighed frustratingly raising an eyebrow at them.

This time Amane was so done of them watching on how they were being sweet to each other. He usually didn't mind being shipped with [name] but sometimes it gets really annoying. "[name], let's go somewhere else where we can be alone."

[name]'s eyes widened a bit, it was bold of Amane to take her out just for them to be alone in each other's comfort. The raven haired boy tenderly gripped on to her warm hand and walked her out to the classroom making their classmates squeal loudly like fans.

"Amane-kun, do you want to go there?" [name] asks tilting her head towards the teenage boy.

"Sure~" Amane slyly smirked at her swinging both of their hands while walking. He leaned over to her side and whispered, his hot breath fanning against her ear. "After all, we're alone over there~"

Y/n's face turned into a bright red color, she slightly pushes him away from her and scoots away. "W-What are you doing?!" she whispered loudly.

"Just stop complaining..." Amane sighed grabbing her hand and interlaced their fingers together. "Let's go to the rooftop."

"Aw~ They look so cute together!"

"I wish all!"

"I ship them so much!"

"If they weren't dating, I bet they like each other!"

[name] kept looking forward ignoring their comments about the two of them. Amane turned his head to her direction. "You okay, Y/n?"

[name] nodded while smiling. "Mhmm, I'm fine."

Although, [name] fell head over heels in love with Amane at the moment he started talking to her. The two have great chemistry together, he noticed. Not long after, Amane begun to have feelings for the girl.

The two arrived at the rooftop, feeling relieved that no one was there. "Let's go sit at the bench." [name] pointed at the empty chair by the distance. "Okay?"

Amane sat on the bench and signalled [name] to come closer. The latter nodded as she sat down next to him. "Feel frustrated about them?"

But Amane didn't reply, he simply took her hand and started to play with her fingers. His excuse is that it's his habit to play with someone's fingers and the truth is that he admired her pretty hands.

"Amane-kun, tell me..." [name] sighed, averting her gaze away from the male. "Were you annoyed when they ship us?"

"Sure, the shipping could be annoying." Amane smiled caressing her finger joints using his thumb. "But I don't really mind if it was with you..."

"I mean, we just met recently and we get along pretty well." he grins causing his cheeks to turn red. "Although, they should tone down the shipping."

"What was our ship name again?" [name] puts her finger under her chin to think. "It's [ship name] right?"

"[ship name]..." Amane slowly drops her hands to process the words. "Not gonna lie, it's a cute name, our classmates really thought hard about it, especially on the part that they want us to be together..."

"It feels pretty nice, being shipped with the person you love." [name] stated until her eyes widened as she realized what she just said. "W-Wait! I-I didn't mean it like that!"

"What was that again?" Amane's tone turned into a teasing one as he leaned over to [name]. "I didn't quite hear you~"

"I didn't say anything." [name] turned her head away from Amane, her voice trailing down into a whisper.

Amane took her chin between his thumb and index finger to make [name] look at him but the latter remained her gaze averted from him. "You don't have to be so shy around me babygirl~"

"I like you, Amane-kun..." [name] confesses, her cheeks turning even more red than an apple. "Ever since we got so close..."

This time it was Amane's turn to blush and stutter at her words. "Y-you l-like me?" he asked in disbelief whilst pointing at himself releasing her chin. "For real?"

[name] nodded slowly, the feeling of embarrassment kills her but in the same time she feels serendipitous. Amane blushed, lowering his head as his bangs were slightly covering his amber eyes. "Please forgive me what I'm about to do..."

"I'm getting rejected aren't I?" Amane slips his hands around her waist then he blushed the way he was holding her intimately. [name] placed her palms on to his chest gently, completely clueless on what was happening.

"If you were then I wouldn't be able to do this..."

Amane closes his eyes and tenderly tugs [name] closer to him. Tilting his head slightly just before his lips reaches her, and then he planted a soft kiss on her lips eliciting a soft 'tsup' from their lips. He pulled away to see a blushing [name] trying to utter a word, he smirked. "I think I broke the blushing [name], let me try that again~"

Amane kissed her again but this time it lasted more than a mere second. [name] stood there blushing like a cherry tomato. "W-Why d-did you do that?" she questioned while placing her hands on his shoulders.

Amane lifted her chin up and grinned softly at her. He moved his face closer to her as their noses were touching. "[name], I love you more than words can say. I started to have feelings for you ever since we got shipped and we got closer."

"Be mine?"

"Of course." [name] smiled with a blush on both of her cheeks. Just then, Tsukasa came through the door like a normal person would as he watched his older twin brother with a girl.

"[ship name]~!" Tsukasa announced. "The ship has sailed!"

Amane blushed, he wrapped his arms around [name] and buried his face on to her neck making her feel flustered. "A-Amane-kun!" she frantically says trying to pull away.

"Nooo...don't pull away babygirl~" Amane digs his face even deeper to her neck to hide his blush. [name] beckoned Tsukasa to leave which the latter winked and left.

Amane releases [name] as Tsukasa left the rooftop. [name] hugged herself making him pout. "Why hug yourself, when you have my arms to wrap around you~?"

He swiftly pecked her lips making her caught off guard. [name] stood up from the bench because she was flustered by Amane's cheesiness but then he tenderly held her hand making her stop.

"I'm not yet done with you, Y/n~"

And you know what happens next (oop).

Locals Report: 9/18/21

I went 2-1-1 at locals today. Had a good mix of matchups, and I definitely had a couple little interactions I messed up but I felt I played well on the whole.

Round 1: 2-0 vs Trap Dragoon

My opponent won the die roll and decided to go second. I started with my standard combo, but my twin ended up on the business end of a kaiju. My opponent didn’t find his dragoon either hand though, and all the kaijus and lava golems in the world aren’t enough to keep the twins down. This round finished early, so we ended up playing a few more games after time, it ended up being 3-2.

Round 2: 1-1 vs Virtual World

Virtual world is always a grindy matchup, and this was no exception. Game 1, I had an all star hand of imperm, veiler, ash blossom, and a starter. It did take a while to close out the game though. Game two, my opponent had to do a bit of a roundabout line to get enough attack on board to kill me. I considered conceding to make sure we got our game 3 in, but I both wanted to make sure he’d be able to kill me (as I had enough resources to rebuild) and I also had the backup plan of Sunny’s Snitch burns in time. Ultimately, I wasn’t super confident in the matchup, otherwise I would have absolutely conceded to get game 3 in. In that game 3, I was able to end on gryphon, but my opponent had evenly. Unfortunately, I didn’t get another turn.

Round 3: 1-2 vs True Draco

Two matches drew in round 2, and my opponent said his last pairing slow played their last game, resulting in a draw. Unfortunate. Speaking of unfortunate, I lost the die roll, which is super punishing in this matchup. My opponent did his thing, and though I was able to resolve my normal summon, diagram and eventually The Monarchs Erupt were too much to handle. Game 2, I had the absolute nuts: I ended on a board of an I:P-protected Unchained Abomination and a Bagooska. My opponent scooped it up. Game 3 was a real resource battle, my opponent and I were both down to two cards in hand, and I took a risk, pitching my cosmic cyclone to Live Twin Home to try and get into my engine. Unfortunately, my opponent flipped Monarch’s Erupt again. As it turns out, True Draco is pretty good if you find Diagram.

Round 4: 2-1 vs Despia Darkworld

I’m gonna level with you, I honestly have no idea what my opponents deck does, outside of super poly. Game 1, I ashed his draw 2 and he just ended on two dinguses. That ended being enough to get me the win. Game 2, my opponent took his sweet time figure out what to do. I popped his starving venom, which ultimately was a mistake, and he took game 2. Game 3 was getting in close to time, and my opponent had a 100 life point lead, but I able to set up my abomination board after a bit of grinding through super poly for starving venom (the links not both being dark was super clutch). My opponent (who drew in round 2, incidentally) took his sweet time considering his options but made the mistake of summoning a monster, which I negated with my veiler and importantly proc’d my sunny’s snitch to give me the life point advantage. I informed him of this and with less than 3 minutes left and staring down lethal, he stopped pondering and told me I got it.

As I said at the top, I felt like I played pretty well, I made good use of unicorn and made gryphon a lot less today, partially because I lost a lot of die rolls and also partially because unchained abomination popping an entire virtual world setup was too good to pass up. I did find myself wanting trouble sunny again, but I didn’t feel like the lack of otk ability came up too much today, maybe with the exception of vs True Draco, which I couldn’t keep up with in terms of resources.

Ironically (considering recent releases) I only got nibiru’d once and maybe I got hit by ash once or twice all day. That said, the combination of trouble sunny and Crossout designator will make this deck that much more potent and resilient.

I also won a raffle for Yugi’s exodia deck from one of the sealed products, which was neat. No OTS packs for me though. This will be my last proper locals before I move for school, so I hope the LGSes up there open soon.
