i don't mean to be ruining people's fun and i think it's mostly stated in a non-serious manner anyway but i keep seeing the rhetoric of how people shouldn't wear makeup and that they should embrace their natural appearance, while true, it's always said in kind of a dickish manner like for example: "oh people look better without makeup on anyway lol"

i have an issue with the discouragement of makeup, because realistically, tons of people wear it because they feel their natural appearance isn't good enough, or even any good at all. in a scenario like this i don't think there should be any discouragement in place whatsoever, and rather encouragement and support for people to ease into wearing less and less makeup and to finally be at peace with themself physically.

i just see it kind of often on my dashboard and i thought it'd be nice to say this at last -- encourage people into embracing and loving their appearance without any makeup, instead of discouraging their only way of feeling better about their looks in a society where if you don't look like a perfect doll, you get endlessly mistreated.
