Lost and Found
Part 5!
Genshin Impact x Child! God! Fem! Reader
This has passed the point of impulsiveness with the amount of effort it took to make myself write! But it's a silly idea for a cult au with a dubious level of proper SAGAU, and no hint of Imposter in sight.
Reader is referred to with she/her, and is set to be around the same age as Klee and the other small child characters. Not proof read! If you see any typos, no the fuck you don't.
Notes: Just barely not a month since the last part! Actually managed to yank myself away from Elden Ring long enough to finish this. You know what "Favored" and "Auxiliary" mean, and now you'll see who all belongs in the two teams. Also establishing where in the game story this takes place!
Warnings: religious themes, likely out of character moments, mentions of blood/bleeding, honestly some very slight body horror stuff, a war scene! Mentions of death/dying, kidnapping, drugging, and stress.
<~Part 4   Part 6~>
Word count: 3,774
Gentle waves lap at the pier, the imposing shadow of the Alcor casting away from where it sat docked. Earning the glances of shogunate guards that found themselves disinclined to actually approach the waiting crew.
Beidou leans over the rail, glaring down at Ritou as annoyance growled from her throat. Whirling to face her Inazuman companion, "Where the hell are they?"
Kazuha shrugs quietly as the sound of hurried steps pull both people's attention to a head of blonde hair. A young woman sprints down the pier, the large bow of rope tied at her back bouncing behind her. "Wait! I'm sorry for being late!"
"Firecracker!" Beidou shouts, jumping off the side of the Alcor, landing on the pier hard enough to shake the wood boards.
"Captain Beidou!" Yoimiya shouts excitedly as she dives into a hug with the taller woman. The pair laughing through the embrace, "it's good to see you! How have you been? Have you seen Miss Jean and Shenhe? How are they?"
Setting the girl down Beidou smiles brightly, "whoa whoa, slow down there. Good to see you too. I've been good, and had a really eventful time lately. I, sadly, just missed Ms. Serious. And Shenhe is… Shenhe, she's fine… I think."
Yoimiya nods in understanding, "well I'm really looking forward to hearing what this little meeting of the Favored is for!"
"Well we're still waiting on the two Auxiliaries we came for as well." Beidou groans, rubbing at the back of her head as she spares a glance in the direction of Ritou.
"What? I thought I was late enough that you might leave without me. Are they not here yet?"
"Nope," Beidou pops the P as she speaks, turning her eye back to the blonde, "but the Traveler left to look for them already, so let's hope she brings back news."
As if the mention of her summoned her, a flash of blue pours from a teleportation waypoint and from the glare Lumine steps out, Paimon drifting ahead of her as she walks towards where Beidou and Kazuha flanked Yoimiya.
"Please tell me you're here to say our wayward Auxiliaries are on their way here now." Beidou groans in frustration.
The blonde shakes her head, "no, but I have different news and possibly a plan."
<~~~~>
The rain gently falls down over Nazuchi Beach, gray clouds rolling slowly as if they could understand the tension that lay beneath them.
Two armies face one another down. With armor purple like the lightning they serve, the Shogunate army cast an intimidating shadow. Sheer number and quality of equipment cast doubt into the comparatively few Watatsumi warriors.
At their center the famed tengu General, Kujou Sara levels an indifferent glare to the red dyed army. Eyes landing on the canine commander standing beside them.
The pair stare, quiet, measured, studying. Both leaders daring the other to call the first command. To announce the battles beginning.
And when blades cross, whoever did call the first order to charge means little. When blood spills, and life is threatened, only one thing holds meaning. Survival.
The battle does not go for long before it turns in one side's favor. The resistance had always known they faced poor odds. But to watch as comrades are cut down in the sand, the skill of a single shogunate samurai proves to be too great for two foot soldiers to handle. They found themselves to be outnumbered by only a small margin. But they were outmatched by a far greater level.
Gorou launches arrow after arrow, dodging above and beneath swords and spears, all the careful precision that has come to be expected of him. Across the battlefield, Sara stands firm, shooting at a slower pace, taking carefully aimed shots that down men with each arrow she lets go of.
Lumine searches the field, eyes scanning over the chaos of soldiers, sword drawn and swinging crushing blows to any who dare get close to her, mind too preoccupied to care which side those left in her wake belonged to. Watching, waiting, looking for the signal they had agreed on. Inching closer and closer to where the General stands without drawing her attention.
Rainfall grows heavier, in the noise of the desperate and dying, who would notice the slow steps of a single woman?
Rain soaked sand began to take a blue glow, bubbles of water rising from the grit, drifting upward, growing in number, peacefully bobbing.
Gorou's eyes are pulled from the battle, widening at the sight of his leaders arrival, "her excellency!"
Kokomi stands proud, arms raised as rain water rises from the sand, drifting bubbles taking to the air, pulling eyes just long enough for the Shogunate soldiers to miss the trampling feet of new enemies.
"The wait is over, my comrades, now is our moment!" She calls out, giving her signal to the reinforcements that follow her.
A second brigade charges from behind the shipwreck, quickly running at their heels a crowd of sell swords. Headed at their front a tall woman garbed in red, dragging a metal slab of a sword behind her.
"I just hope you can afford all these mercs you've gathered!" Beidou's cheerful voice calls through the noise of the battle. The monstrous size of her Creator-given claymore throwing soldiers off their feet several at a time.
Quickly the tide is turned. The ambush pinched the shogunate army in between blades. And the addition of vision holders made individual samurai's skills all but worthless comparatively.
The general lets out a sound of annoyance before waving her hand, "all forces, retreat!" She shouts angrily, turning to make a run for it with her soldiers.
"Here's our chance, Traveler!" Beidou shouts as she sees the retreating Auxiliary member.
Lumine wastes no time, launching herself forward at an almost impossible speed, dashing to catch up with the tengu, diving headlong into the woman. Pinning Sara down into the wet sand as anemo, geo, and electro rage around them both, Kazuha quickly moves to follow, striking down the few Shogunate soldiers that stop to assist their pinned General. The pair rush to retreat back with the tengu in tow.
Kokomi can't help but gawk at the unexpected rush to capture Sara, but how could she complain? A won battle and an extraordinarily strategic prisoner, truly Beidou and her crew prove to be mora well spent.
Stepping down from her position atop the ruined ship, Kokomi finds her way to where her commander stands with Beidou, Kazuha, the now tied up Sara, and the Traveler that she's heard so much about while away. Kokomi gives a small smile, "I must say, Captain, I must commend you. I expected your help would be of great use, but to have taken General Kujou as well? Impressive."
Beidou's boisterous voice echoes in the quiet battlefield as laughter bubbles from her, "well I can't take all the credit. And I can't say her getting captured is for you or our deal."
Kokomi sees Lumine and Kazuha move to take places on either side of Beidou, Lumine pulling Sara behind them with her movement. The Hydro user raises an eyebrow in surprise, "then why, may I ask, did you take her?"
"Nevermind that now. I do have something else to discuss with you, however." Beidou's eye's flash over to Gorou then back to Kokomi, "maybe we should go back to our little hiding spot, get some more privacy."
Suspicion building, Kokomi turns to Gorou, "tend to the wounded and regroup at the fort, I will meet you there." Turning back to the mercenary group, and giving a curt nod as the group move towards the wrecked ship.
Kazuha slings the tengu's bow over his shoulder, while the Traveler passes her vision back and forth between her hands, both earning the fierce glare of Sara.
Beidou pulls a flask free from her belt before turning her eye to the much shorter woman. A broad smile stretching across her features, "well before anything else, it's a little tradition of the Crux to share a toast after such a battle!" Holding the flask out to Kokomi. "This victory is yours, so you take the first drink!" Her smile unwavering as the heavy flask drops into the smaller woman's hands.
Kokomi eye's the flask uneasily, the powerful scent of alcohol assaulting her senses, taking a deep breath, holding it in, and tipping the flask to her lips. The burn is immediate, feeling like a Pyro slime had been forced down her throat.
The intense burn held her attention just long enough to not notice the way Beidou dumped the rest of the flask's contents into the sand after taking it back from her. The floaty feeling in her head takes over, and one moment she's standing proud after her victory, the next the Traveler's arms are wrapped around her torso as her legs no longer hold her. Beidou's voice calls commands, but despite the priestess still seeing the captain stand directly in front of her, she can't clearly hear her voice. Darkness taking over the edges of her vision, the final sight before the dark dominates her senses being Kazuha pulling a visibly confused Sara to her feet while the Alcor crew gather around the group, all following Beidou's direction.
<~~~~>
With her pacing back and forth, Eula was worried Jean might ignite the ground beneath her. The pair of knights waiting outside of Bubu Pharmacy where Ningguang had said in a note she was bringing Y/n, for reasons not well conveyed.
"Acting Grandmaster, this isn't going to help." Eula speaks gently, trying to help the blonde woman to calm down.
"But what if something is wrong with Y/n? What if she's sick? Can gods even get sick? Or what if she got hurt? Who would do such a thing as to hurt a child like her? Much less the Creator herself!" Jean rambles, venting her stresses only a little. But enough to have Eula take long strides and quickly cover Jean's mouth before glancing towards the door.
"Remember what Lady Ningguang said. Don't say that where Y/n might hear it." Eula whispers, eyes locked on the entryway to the pharmacy.
Pushing the other woman's hand away Jean sighs, pinching at her temple, "and then there's that… What are we supposed to tell people? They already know."
The blue haired woman shakes her head, "that doesn't matter right now, when it comes to it, maybe we can make something up, but for now, it's no use to dwell on it."
"You think we should lie to the people of Mondstadt? You know how important just the idea of news about Y/n was to all of them!" Jean whispers incredulously.
"Well, what if it isn't a lie? We just bend the truth and give them something to look towards?" Eula scans the pair's surroundings again, taking note of the distance to the nearest passers-by.
"That still doesn't sit right with me though…" Jean crosses her arms, face scrunched in thought.
Eula shakes her head, "like I already said, right now it does not matter. Lady Ningguang is talking to the doctor here, and said she would tell us what is the matter with Y/n once she had finished with that conversation." Eula steps to the side of the doorway, leaning back as she stares out towards the stairs leading up to the pharmacy. "All we can do is wait, and hope that vengeance will not be necessary."
<~~~~>
"You have some explaining to do, Lady Tianquan!" Baizhu whispers in a harsh tone, normally soft eyes taking a serious glint.
Ignoring his tone, Ningguang simply hums for a moment, "How is she doing?"
The doctor pinches at the bridge of his nose, exasperation pouring from him, "I gave her some medicine for the pain, which seems to be working. But vision healing had no effect at all. It seems all we can do is keep the numbing up until her wings are fully grown in."
"Her wings?" Ganyu asks, yawning into her palm.
"Do you two take me for a fool? You come in here at this ungodly hour with a child crying gold and bleeding traces of all seven elements, and did you expect me to not recognize the Creator?"
Silence hangs heavy as a small white head peeks out from the coils hanging like a scarf. "The little one is without a doubt our Creator, and our Creator bares wings."
"So then what is happening is that she is growing into herself?" Ningguang questions, eyes snapping between the doctor and the snake.
Ganyu stares at the floor, eyes wide at her own silent revelation. "The Creator was not a human, but we summoned a human child. Tore her right from where she once lived, and she was dropped here, alone for so long, and now that she's lived around people again, the child is changing to match."
The trio stand in the quiet, only the muffled sound of the three children talking amongst themselves echoing in the pharmacy.
The doctor coughs into his fist, adjusting his shirt collar before speaking, "Whatever the implications of that, Y/n should stay here for the rest of the night, with luck the growth will be done by morning."
<~~~~>
Y/n lay face down on the table Baizhu had placed her on. The tears in her back have stopped growing, but feathers continue to sprout. All near shining in pure white, unmarred even by the multi-colored blood they grow from.
Klee sits on her knees beside Y/n, tightly clinging onto the other girl's hand. Wide eyes moving back and forth between focusing on patting her friend's head comfortingly and staring as another feather sprouts.
"Is the medicine working?" A small voice suddenly sounds to the opposite side of the bed from Klee. Lavender hair poking up over the top of the simple sheets.
"It doesn't hurt as bad now." Y/n mumbles into the pillow. Turning her head to face the new voice.
A pair of small hands push a glass of water up onto a bedside table, quickly turning from the task in favor of grasping at the edge of the bed to pull herself up onto the surface. "Dr. Baizhu said, you should have some water."
Y/n gives a small nod before moving to sit up, Klee gently helps support the other girl as Qiqi moves to grab the glass again. Soon the two vision holding children watch as the h/c girl gulps down water, silence hanging until the cup is empty.
"Did that help?" Qiqi whispers, pushing the glass back onto the side table.
The girl hums, nodding "I think so." Y/n smiles, turning to face Qiqi, holding out her hand. "I'm Y/n, by the way."
"I'm Qiqi, I am a zombie," giving an awkward handshake, Qiqi's eyes move to a slightly bouncing Klee.
"And I'm Klee!" The blonde girl says excitedly, smiling wide at seeing Y/n so calm again. "Do you wanna be our friend too?"
Y/n matches Klee's smile as she turns to Qiqi as well, both girls waiting patiently towards the silent stare of the other girl.
Qiqi stares back at the pair, unemotive confusion swimming in her head before speaking "I'm sorry, I don't remember how."
"You don't remember how to be friends?" Klee asks, her excitement melting into matching confusion.
Y/n smiles, "well when I stop hurting, we can teach you! And we can all steal whatever tasty things you want!" Y/n giggles, reigniting Klee's excitement as Qiqi stares at the pair.
The zombie's eyes open just a hair wider "even coconut milk?" Her monotonous tone takes the tiniest hint of excitement.
"Yea! Y/n's super good at stealing! That'll be no problem!" Klee cheers, causing Y/n to puff up at the praise.
Sitting back for a moment Qiqi thinks, before reaching behind her and pulling a large book into her lap. "Ok, I'll write orders in my diary so I won't forget."
Klee's bouncing grows more eager, "Yea! We're going to go steal more stuff! And we'll blow something up! And um… Qiqi, what's something you like to do?"
Qiqi stops her writing, staring quietly, "I like to watch the finches."
"Then we'll watch the finches too!"
Qiqi nods before turning her attention back to the diary, pausing to read before facing Y/n again. "But you should lay back down now. Dr Baizhu said you need to rest." Qiqi chides, gently pushing Y/n back into laying on her stomach.
"Ok, but will you stay here with us?" Y/n asks, relenting as Klee joins Qiqi in laying her down.
There is hardly a pause before Qiqi has her answer, "yes," she says simply, grasping onto the girl's  free hand shortly after Klee takes hold of Y/n's other.
A small sigh falls from Y/n, both her hands occupied by the other girl's. One unnaturally hot to the touch, the other incredibly cold. But both holding nothing but silent soothing communication.
The feeling of calm washing over the trio. A foreign feeling Y/n has been resisting growing used to. Being at peace, no need to seek out her next meal, no fear of being seen by other people, and no crippling loneliness in the shelter of her hideaway. Just these two friends she's found, that she was able to meet because Beidou and Ningguang had taken her in, off the streets.
Y/n lets out a sharp gasp, the moment of calm abruptly interrupted. Where pained screams would have arisen, only discomforted groaning starts. Hands clenching tight on their hold to the two other girls.
Feathers sprout rapidly, each popping out in the blink of an eye, several at a time. That's when the sitting pair see it, bones and muscles writhe beneath Y/n's skin. Limbs not naturally born forming from the bleeding sea of feathers. Formless masses of sticky wet flesh rise, dragging feathers up along with them. Four almost tendrils sprouting and rapidly forming skin, the bleeding slows to a stop, but the new limbs still wriggle unnaturally.
The door slams open, none of the three girls having noticed the alarmed scream Klee had released. Not until a pair of knights barge in with swords drawn, followed quickly by an annoyed doctor and a concerned Tianquan.
The newly arrived group stop in their tracks. All eyes on the quartet of tendrils as they writhe, muscles finding their place along settling bones, feathers sprouting faster and fuller. Bending and taking the shape of proper wings, the pair higher on Y/n's shoulders appear far larger than the pair lower on her back.
Four wings, pure white in color, and fluffier than clouds on a clear morning. Down feathers of a baby bird twitch with a new feeling. Sinewy muscles settling in place, stretching out like one would stretch their arms upon waking. And much like a baby bird, they fold and twitch, unusable for flight, but a feeling part of the child.
A head of h/c hair pokes up, shaking arms pushing herself up into a sitting position. Qiqi quickly grasps at her shoulder to hold Y/n steady. Klee slowly reaches a hand out to pat the white feathers.
Y/n turns around with a confused smile at the adults in the room, one eye maintaining her natural e/c, the other an orb of solid gold.
"Did something happen?" Y/n squeaks, unsure at the staring eyes.

A man flops down on the bench beside the contemplative archon, his arms laying over the back rests as he crosses his legs casually.
"Good to see you again, comrade!" Childe chimes cheerfully, a broad smile stretched across his features as he attempts to pull Zhongli into conversation.
"Childe. I thought you'd returned to Snezhnaya." Zhongli states, his eyes dragging to look at the harbinger lounging beside him.
“I did. But her majesty sent me back after receiving some very interesting news.” His face split in a smile hardly covers the air of menace he pushes forward, “I thought perhaps my old buddy the Geo Archon might have some answers for me.” His voice is low enough to prevent passersby from overhearing.
A sigh of annoyance slips from the composed Archon, “and what questions would you like these answers to?”
“I’m here to ask about our Divine Creator.”
Zhongli stills at that statement. Eyes taking a dangerous glow as almost reptilian pupils bore into the Snezhnyan. “And what would you ask me that your Tsaritsa could not answer?”
"Straight to the point then, the Tsaritsa is all too aware of that summoning ritual you held with the gods of Anemo and Electro, so don't try and lie about that." Smirking at the ease of which he was able to start the discussion, Childe ignores the dragon’s glare in favor of taking on a more casual posture. “Well little birdy says that the Divine Creator has been living in Liyue."
The retired archon's posture runs rigid at those words, scale patterns making themselves known around already distinctly inhuman eyes. "Were that the case, I would be by their side."
"I suppose so… but her majesty's tip off is very reliable." Childe leans in closer to the Geo archon, whispered words for no other to hear "and I don't think I need to tell you that an act such as hiding our beloved divine Creator is something many would consider starting a war over."
Zhongli grips at his coat harsh enough to nearly rip the fabric, threatening glare oozing with malice. Jaw tight, wordlessly daring the harbinger to keep threatening Liyue.
Childe lets out a convincingly bright laugh as he creates more distance, again taking the time to appear casual. "Well if you don't know anything, it can't be helped! I just hope I can find some proper news for her majesty, and fast. Wouldn't want my colleagues to be coming here and wreaking havoc, now would we?"
The harbinger hops to his feet, taking a moment to stretch his limbs and half turning back to face the archon. "I guess since you weren't as helpful as I would have liked, I'll have to call on other contacts. The Qixing is quite good at hiding things, but the Fatui won't rest until the Tsaritsa has the answers she wants."
And with the final remark Childe disappeared into the Liyue crowd. His words, still echoing in Zhongli's head.
Could the Creator he had been searching for been right under his nose the whole time?

Ich liebe dich
part 3 of the Zhongli x Kaslana!reader series
summary: memories begin to surface with the help a certain Inazuman who is on the run. Also the return of our beautiful teacher in this chapter <3
Tumblr media
Sleeping in the comforts of his bed in the Crux's ship, Kazuha moves slightly in his sleep and his brows furrow slightly with confusion in his sleep. He lets out a breathe as soon as his eyes flutter open and he leans on his arm for support as he sits up, a hand brushing his hair that was a mess.
"Again with this." He mutters to himself, he's been getting dreams and hears things in the wind about things he can't quite explain.
'kaslana'
The winds keeps repeating and now it's getting louder in his ears. Standing up and forgetting to fix his mess hair, he goes up the dock to see a few of his co-workers on duty. Some greet him as they spot and tells them he's going to the harbor for a few hours which in return they nod their heads.
'kaslana'
He ignores it as he arrives, walking down the quiet, empty streets as the night goes on. Walking to the harbor's dock, he spots a lone figure sitting near the edge of it, staring up at the starry night sky and upon getting closer, he hears an unfamiliar phrase.
"Ich liebe dich."
He remains quiet, listening to the figure.
"Ich liebe dich."
He hears this again and it feels like the figure is repeating it as they're trying to remember something from it from the desperate tone in their voice.
He finally goes near them and he sees this figure is a woman who looks back at him with her lips parted slightly before looking away. He recognizes who she was but is unable to mutter her name.
Instead, he sits down beside her but not too close. She went quiet and so, he begins the conversation.
"Ich liebe dich...what does that mean?" He asks quietly, the woman besides him just gives him a small 'hm.'
"I don't know, something I heard in a dream." She replies and he's quick to notice the distant look in her eyes as she looks at dark sky. "It sounded important, that's all."
He nods at this and it goes quiet between them again.
"You're one of the gods of Liyue, correct?" He asks and she hesitates, something she's never done in a while, not knowing what to say.
"No, Liyue has no need of a god now that the Lord of Geo is gone and so, they have no need for me as well." She says softly. "I am simply a warrior, one train to fight the....honkai?" There's uncertainty in her voice as a look of confusion grows on her face, her hand reaching her head. Her brows furrow slightly.
"Who are you?" Kazuha nods at this, seeing that she wants to avoid anything else about her.
"I am Kazuha, I left Inazuma shortly after the Vision Hunt Decree." He introduces himself. "I'm apart of Captain Beidou's crew at the moment."
The two begins to speak about things and at some point, Kazuha is entertained about the stories Y/n told of the past.
"You're not from Liyue Harbor?" She shakes her head at this. "Then, what nation are you from?"
She goes quiet, "I....I don't know."
Wandering back to your home, some of the guards came worried towards after all, you did leave the safety of your home without any guards around you. They worried something happened to you as well like Morax and thanks to Lady Ningguang's order, she sent more security your way.
Flopping down on your bed, you sigh and close your eyes one more, wanting the coziness of sleep to engulf you one more after a hard day.
"Y/n, promise me you'll take good care of you father, you know stubborn he is and look after your little sister."
A hand caresses your head softly and you look up to see your mother looking down at you, her eyes glinting with tears as she tries to hold back. You could see the pure, white snow surrounding you two as she knees in front of you.
"I won't be there to see you grow up, but just remember, I'll be proud of you no matter what." She cries, tears welling up in your eyes as the situation finally clicks on your mind....you won't see her again after this mission. "Forgive me." She says and you shake your head.
"Don't say that! You'll came back, you're strong enough and I promised I would always stay by your side, no matter what!" You sobs, tears rolling down your cheeks and she wipes them away gently. "Don't go."
"I won't disappear.... I'll be right here." She places a hand on your heart, "watching over you."
You hug her tightly, the tears never stopping as she pays your back gently, this would be the final hug between you two.
"Cecelia, it's time."
A voice rings from the ear piece you wore and you hug her harder, trying to prevent her from leaving.
"...it's time for us to part way, Y/n." She pulls back and slowly stands up, reaching out for her ear before handing you her purple earring.
"I-I will protect them!" You shout as she begins to walk away, "I promise! You don't need to worry so...." Wiping the tears despite moving flowing down your face, you look at her. "I'll become the strongest Valkyrie and keep everyone safe like you!"
Her figure stops before she continues walking again.
Another sobs leave you mouth as you watch her leave, ".....I just wish it didn't need to be you, mom." Sniffing, you quietly sob as you walk back to the unconscious body of your father and lift him up, one hand on his waist while his remaining arm on your shoulders for support. You begin to walk away slowly, not caring for the cold.
Your eyes open at this, a unfamiliar look in your eyes as you sit up and reach for your ear but you don't feel anything.
The guard outside in the hallway jumps at your sudden appearance beside him, "L-lady Y/n! Is there something you needed?!" He shouts nervously, it wasn't like this was the first time he's talk to her face to face, he's just feels nervous being around someone so powerful. He's known her since he was a kid after being taken in by her after she found him in the city's alley, barely conscious.
The look in her eyes is unreadable as she stares at him.
"Yes, now that Morax is gone. I need to see the room he forbidden me from entering." You say sternly and he quickly nods his head.
"Of course!" He leads you to the other side of your large home before stopping before one. "There's an adeptus seal on it..." You nod your head, he steps aside letting you face the seal. Raising your hands up, you close your eyes to focus your energy to unseal it though you had to carefully not to use up your energy rapidly.
Within a minute, the seal is broken and a softly breeze makes your hairs fly back before it goes back to it's original state.
Opening the door, you two walk inside and you're greeted with the sight of familiar yet unfamiliar battlesuit in perfect condition as if it hasn't be locked away for eons.
Touching it with your fingers, you stare at as if trying to remember when was the last time you wore. And then, it clicked in your mind.
This white and blue battlesuit as the same one you wore during the destruction of the great nation 500 years ago, Zhongli had probably locked it away to prevent any harm to you after seeing it in it's barely power potential. So who knew what it could cause you if you used at it's full potential.
"Where you looking for something, My lady?" You take your hand back as you remember you were not alone.
"Yes, I came to find a purple earring. It belonged to my mother." You say, moving long as the guard follows you deeper inside the room.
One by one, do you seem to walk past things from your past that you remember. Like the coat you used to wear when you first woke up in this world and headpiece that resembled the one your mother wore. Staring at it while you held in your hand, you don't notice the guard moving away from you.
"Is this the earring you're looking for?" You look up at this, notice the guard holding something up and a faint shine of it catches your eye. Walking over, he hands it over to you and you smile faintly.
"Yes, this is the one." He hands it to you and take a closer look at it, it's exactly like the one you saw in your memory. Carefully putting it on, you saw it began to glow once more.
Kazuha the next day was having trouble getting any sleep, the wind was simply repeating the same things it was getting irritated. Sighing for the million time, it catches Beidou's attention and she turns to look at him, a hand on her hip. "What's got you so worked up today?" She says with an amused tone in her voice. "Does the wind not know—oh, what the?" She stops mid sentence as from the corner of eye she spots a familiar figure.
Kazuha, who doesn't notice, rubs his forehead.
"Lady Y/n, what brings you here?" Beidou rushes over, surprised that she was here. "Wait, don't tell me Ningguang sent you here. The nerve of that woman....." She grunts.
Y/n just laughs at this, "no, I came here for something else." Jumping on board, she lands gracefully besides Beidou.
"Here, nice outfit you got there. Normally you would be wearing some formal clothing, what's the occasion?" Beidou looks at the sleeveless white dress, half of it was button up at the waist up.
"Well, the part of rite is later today but I'm not here for that. I've come to see Kazuha, I met him yesterday and he mentioned that he's apart of your crew." Beidou's eyes widen slightly but nods anyway.
"Yeah, he's here. Why for though?"
Y/n just shrugs her shoulders, "he interests me and I have something I want to ask him. If you don't mind, could I take Kazuha on a little trip, of course, you can say no."
Kazuha hears his name and he glances up to see the woman he met yesterday night and it seemed like what ever the wind was telling him went quiet.
"I'll go."
Beidou and Y/n look down at him before the woman smiles at him.
"Great, will be leaving tonight, come I'll discuss the details."
Beidou watches stunned, "well, safe travels?"
Kazuha and Y/n walk back to the Liyue Harbor, avoiding any trouble with hilichurls and soon they walk across the bridge to enter the city.
"There's something I want to confirm with my own eyes." Kazuha looks up at her, noticing the bright earring on her ear and he knew that the hair piece and earring was something she didn't wore before when they first met.
"We'll be traveling to Snezhnaya, I don't know how long we'll be staying there. I heard there's endless snow storms and in my memories, I was in a land of snow."
Kazuha who listens quietly, spots a tall, brown haired male in the distance, watching them before walking away.
"If I was originally from there, then my father must be there....along with my little sister." He watches the figure walk away until he's no longer visible through the crowd of people. "...if they're still alive that is."
"You're leaving Liyue Harbor?" Ningguang says, stunned at the sudden news. You smile at her, "yes, I'll be gone for maybe a month or so and I'll be taking a friend with me." Ningguang looks at Kazuha who is busy looking down at the city while the wind blows his hair slightly.
"I see, I can't keep you here and I hope you two have safe travels." She says bitterly, it was a shame that one of her friends was leaving so sudden but then again, she understood. Maybe this was the way her dear friend wanted to grief the death of Morax, her long life partner.
"I'll see you later." She nods and watches as you walk away, the tail of your brown trenchcoat fluttering behind you, your footsteps fading with each passing moment, now her slightly as you leave the area.
"I have a feeling....this will be a few of our last conversations."
Walking out the area, you met eyes with a familiar pair and you look away, continuing to look forward fully knowing that you had to face Zhongli at some point.
"Comrade! You seem to be in a hurry!" Childe's voice makes you stop, looking at him confused as he approaches you. "Childe..."
He raises a brow at your expression, "What's wrong?" He blinks, catching your gaze elsewhere and he looks up to see his friend.
"Ah, Mr. Zhongli! This is a coincidence, are you here to say farewell to Y/n and Kazuha too?"
"Farewell?" Child smirks at this, seeing the confusion written all over Zhongli's face. "Yes, our comrades will be going to my homeland for a while, isn't that right? Wait, how about I go with you two? I'll be your tour guide and I'll be able to answers any questions you have!"
Kazuha looks at you, wanting to know your decision on this offer.
(A/n: why did I add Kazuha......idk, I love him too much he's in everything.)
"I would appreciate it Childe, neither I or Kazuha know a lot of this nation so it's better to bring someone who grew up there." You place a hand on your hip, looking at the ginger, "in return, you'll get to spear with me as much as you like." You grin at this, placing a hand on your chest as you could see how Childe was radiating from this, the excited look on his face meant that the deal was sealed.
Zhongli looked back at you, then Childe and at you again. "Why would you want to leave Liyue Harbor?" He finally asks, Kazuha blinks at this, judging slightly as he gives the man a blank stare. It seems like it clicked in his mind that this Mr. Zhongli was indeed Morax but now leaving as a normal being after witnessing how Y/n's face will turn sour at the mere mention of him.
Of course, he knew that you were quite angry at how Morax decided to 'retire' from his position as Liyue's god. You just need some fresh air from everything.
"A vacation is you will, Mr. Zhongli." Childe can't help but let out a muffled laugh at how you called the brown haired man. "Since Morax is gone, can't a lady have some time to 'grief' over the loss of her lover?" Zhongli coughs at your forced, closed eye smile aimed at him, clearly saying that you still quite angry at him. "Have some empathy, Zhongli."
You sigh, dropping your hands as your face relaxes and the playfulness in you dies out. Turning back around, you being to walks away. "We'll talk when I get back, I'll listen to what you have to say then."
Kazuha gives Zhongli one last look before catching up to you.
"Alright." Zhongli says quietly. "I'll wait." Childe pats his shoulder, "give or take, she'll forgive you in about 500 hundred years." He jokes before leaving Zhongli on his own, catching to the two who don't bother waiting for him.
So, he waited.
2 months later
"Mr. Zhongli, quit moping and get back to work!" Hu Tao looks into Zhongli's office to see him staying into space, the tea in his cup already gone cold. She sighs, scratching the back of her head as she sees that her words made no difference to the man who paid no attention to her.
"The old man has been like this since Y/n left the city, what's his deal with her anyways?" The girl mumbles, sure she figured that maybe Zhongli romantically liked Y/n and it was nearly impossible for her to ever return his feelings since she had a lover who was the Lord of Geo for crying out loud. Her sudden departure was caused by the death of Morax as well, no one tried to prevent her leave since they knew she need time to herself.
Hu Tao knew the kind of person the h/c haired woman, she's been around for twice as long as she has that she practically watched her grow into the person she was. She was there to comfort her when her beloved grandfather past away and was one of the few people she trusted the most beside Zhongli.
"Master Hu Tao," she looks up to see one of her employee rising towards her, seemingly out of breathe. "There's a crowd at the entrance of the city, I heard people saying that Lady Y/n was coming back, apparently-"
"Lady Y/n! Please hold my baby!"
Speak of the devil.
They look over to see a crowd around you but you pay no mind to them as you quickly head towards your home, Childe and Kazuha following behind.
"Comrade, I think someone leaked your arrival." You sigh as Childe closes the room behind him.
"There's no time for that." You say, rushing towards a familiar room and you see a line up of your servants in the hallway and the silence is eating at you.
Taking a step forward, you place your hand on the door knob but you find no strength to turn it, afraid at what's on the other side.
"Go on, you waited long enough." You turn to see Kazuha next to you, giving you a reassuring smile. "It's time." He says.
With a nod of your head, you turn the knob and your eyes met a pair of orange ones that stared back at you.
Your eyes welling up with tears, as the red haired woman smiles with the most gentle look in her eyes. With a shake broken tone of your voice, you mutter her name.
A single tear falls on the floor.
"....Himeko?"
Kazuha watches a single second later you're running towards the woman at rapid speed as you two fall back on the wooden floor, your arms tightly around the red haired woman as loud sobs started to fill the room and only seem to get louder as Himeko speaks out to you, patting your head gently.
"You haven't changed a bit, Y/n."

Hi! May i ask u scenarios of Sara, Yoimiya, Beidou and Ganyu moments after ur death. She's holding your bloody sword, and in a act of rage and sorrow, she screams and buries your weapon on the ground; starting to cry so loud while she falls on her knees
Her Reacting to Your Death Badly
Characters: Sara, Yoimiya, Beidou, Ganyu x gn!reader
Warnings: mentions of death, gore, blood
A/n: I made some of the characters react more silently. I hope that was a good call? It was hard for me to imagine personalities like Sara and Ganyu absolutely losing it
Tumblr media
• Sara will remain stoic, staring at your lifeless body. She wouldn’t know how to react. She’s been alone before, but the feeling of loneliness was amplified once she got a taste of companionship.
• It won’t hit her until she buried your weapon in the ground. She’ll stare some more, and realize she’s crying. She won’t be able to fully process or cope, she might never learn either how to fully get over your death
The shine in her eye disappeared as she saw your body rag doll on the floor. her eyes devoid of life. If observers were near they probably wouldn’t be able to recognize the difference between your lifeless body and hers.
She walked on the pebbles and the dirt, picking up your mud-covered, bloody weapon from your corpse. Prying your trained fingers from the grip. She was on autopilot, with no proper thoughts behind her actions.
When she got your hand off the weapon, she’d feel your limp arm. No feeling, if you were simply unconscious, your body would be trembling, warm, firm. Freaked out by it she tossed your arm down to the ground with plenty of force. No reaction from you once again.
Out of respect from a Tengu Warrior she buried your weapon upright by your corpse, the blood being washed off by the rain. But it wasn’t enough to wash yours from her finger nails. Once she buried your weapon the shine in her eyes returned, she processed who she was, who you were, and what happened.
Tears, mucus, and rain falling down her face, it contorted. Her nostrils flailing, her mouth opening, her cheeks rising. All you could hear was the woman’s deep voice echoing through the forest. Her voice would remain evident till the sunrises, only sniffles and whines would remain.
Tumblr media
• Yoimiya will be in disbelief, she’s never had anything so traumatic happen to her. She’ll shake your lifeless body in an attempt to get a response. It isn’t till your body is visibly dead that she’ll accept it.
• When she buries your weapon, she’ll break down. The first stage of grief is denial, second is anger. She’ll take it on herself however, she’ll hit her head in frustration, stomp, and throw herself on the ground.
Yoimiya took your lifeless body, wrapping your limp and around her shoulder. “Come on, we gotta get out of here,” she urged you. “You’re sure heavy, carry your weight and we’ll get you help faster,” no response again.
She dragged you maybe five feet from your death place until her own body collapsed from weakness. She tried picking you up again, “I’m so so sorry, are you hurt?” She asked. No response. She felt your pulse, no response. Your body temperature, ice cold. Your skin color was even fading as the blood rushed through your wounds.
Picking herself up she limped to your weapon, picking it up. The blood staining it. Returning to your body she stabbed it in the ground upright. Now what? She looked down at you, at the forest around her, at the gloomy sky, at her feet. Her breath quickened till she let out a screech of loss.
Biting her lip till blood was drawn, her hands raised and hit her face with no holding back. It ached and hurt physically, but not as much as losing you. Her grip scratched at her face, yanked on her hair, stretched her skin. “Why!” She screamed.
Tears falling into the pits she was stretching, mucus collecting. She didn’t care if any stalker saw her in such agony. She just lost the love of her life, nothing would repay that debt. She’d never even felt such pain before. She needs to just curl up in your hold, forcing your arms to surround her in your cold-blooded hug.
Tumblr media
• Beidou will think you’re joking. Haha funny joke, until you didn’t wake. She’ll even slap your face a little to smack some sense into you, but still no response.
• when she buried your weapon, she’ll give you one last war cry. Her cries will howl throughout the seas of Liyue, afterwards, she’ll silent cry and fall to her knees.
You fell to the ground like a mummy, you had died standing up, no muscle strength left to support your lifeless body. Beidou let out a hearty laugh at the battle, “come on sport let’s go,” she encouraged you. No response. “Hey, get up, we need to get back to the boat.”
She walked over to your corpse, “hey are you dead?” She asked as a joke, thinking you were just unconscious or sleeping. She slapped your face a little, “wake up.” When her hand made contact with your cheek it was ice cold. No heat. “Hey wake up! I’m serious,” she shouted.
She wasn’t stupid, she’s seen dead people before and it eerily resembled you at the moment. She wouldn’t deny it any longer. Grabbing your weapon, peeling your hands from the grip. She fought tears back.
Stabbing the ground nearby you, standing the weapon upright. The blood from your hands staining her own, she looked up at the rain falling from the sky. She let out an obnoxiously loud cry, you could hear it from villages five kilometers away.
Falling to her knees, her voice cracking from the pain. She couldn’t contain the tears streaming down her cheeks, looking at your lifeless body with cloudy eyes. “Please, please, please wake up,” she begged you, holding your hand tightly.
Tumblr media
• Ganyu will try and give you medical aid. Giving your lifeless body a medicinal potion, she’ll force-feed you it. You didn’t even choke, no instinctual bodily reaction. That’s when she knew you were dead.
• She’ll cry silently. It wasn’t still she buried your weapon that she’ll let the noise out. She’ll make what she considered an ugly face, she knew you’d comfort her. If you were alive that is, the pain hitting her way too hard.
Ganyu rushed to your fresh corpse, gently picking your head up and settling it on her lap. “Here drink this,” she told you. Setting your head back, and grabbing your nose, she forced your mouth open. Using the vile she poured the medicine down your throat. “That should do,” she said softly.
But something wasn’t right, you had no gag reflex, no choking, no reaction. She panicked, feeling for your pulse underneath your jaw, no beating. She set you down on the cobblestone floors, putting her mouth on yours she gave you CPR. Breathing in and out.
With the first inhale she coughed up the medicinal substance, not even your esophagus was working. It never brought the medicine down your stomach. The liquid just sitting in your throat. At this moment, Ganyu realized you had passed long before she had administered the medicine.
As an honorary fight, she held her tears in as best as possible. Cloud Retainer had always taught her it wasn’t proper to cry on a battlefield. So she took your weapon, burying it upwards.
It wasn’t until she saw your blood on her snow white palms that she realized she couldn’t obey Cloud Retainer. Letting out an ugly cry and making a hideous face she cried for hours by your body. Holding your hand as it continued to grow colder, your skin looking grayer, even the flies began collecting and hovering.

Fight me or I'll punch you!
pairing: kazuha x gn!reader
warnings: bad attempt at writing a haiku, swearing, teasing, fluff and humor. reader has a cryo vision, but it's only used twice and it's not important to the story !
❥˙notes - I promise I don't even know what happened. It all started with that one reblog, and ever since I just wanted to fight kazuha.
Tumblr media
You were someone with a mission.
Earlier today, you stopped by the harbor in search for a familiar captain. It wasn't often Beidou lingered around in one area for too long, so you were quite fortunate to have found her at the docks. You were aware that she once harboured a certain fugitive on board, and even more so aware that after the Vision Hunt Decree, Kazuha had chosen to remain in Liyue, probably deciding on his next step as a wanderer.
If you wanted any clue to locate him, Beidou was the one to go to.
You spotted her from a distance, noticing the two massive crates she was hauling. “Beidou, you got a minute?”
The woman glanced back at you, a grin spreading across her face. “Well, look at you! Haven't seen you in a while,” she moves to the side and sets down the boxes. “I can spare a minute or two. Whatcha got for me?”
You sighed. “I know it's been a month, but have you seen Kazuha?” Beidou placed a hand on her chin, her eye squinting in concentration. Please tell me he's at least in Liyue, you chewed on your cheek.
“Last time I saw him he was here in Liyue with the Traveler,” you subtly relaxed at that. That makes things easier. “Why don't you give Luhua Pool a try? I heard he enjoys going over there for relaxation.”
“I'll give it a go, yes. Hey, if things go right, I'll treat you to a meal later?”
“Careful with your words, or else you might regret them!” You laughed and bid her a farewell for now.
You had a bone to pick with that samurai.
˙❥˙♡
“Out of ALL places in Liyue, he choses to be in a place surrounded by water. Unbelievable.” You grumbled, using your vision to freeze the water beneath your feet.
There were a few lotus flowers sprouting here, so that distracted you from the fact that everything around you was wet and blue. You cupped your hands around your mouth, ready to call out for Kazuha when you saw that bastard from a distance. He seemed to be polishing his sword, a gift from the Traveler when they first met. You narrowed your eyes and scanned him from head-to-toe. Figures someone like him wouldn't get wet, you clicked your tongue.
Stepping on one of the ledges, you opened your mouth to draw his attention, the adrenaline pumping through your veins. “Hey, pretty boy!”
What. The. Fuck.
Kazuha looked up the second he heard your voice, scarlet eyes brimming with surprise and alarm. It was too late to take back your words. Marching over the water, you channelled your vision to freeze his legs on the stone he stood on, reaching down to grab a fistful of his clothes to pull him up. “What–”
“Fight me. Right here and now. Come on.”
“Quite bold today, aren't we?” Kazuha calmly adapted to the situation, sheathing his sword with ease. This frustrated you, how dare he sound so relaxed? He's frozen in place, clearly at a disadvantage considering there's water all around you both. “Cat got your tongue, dove?” What?
“What? Hey, stop that! I'm being serious here. Fight me, you poetic nerd!”
“Your poetic nerd?” Okay, that's it.
A gust of wind pushed you back, expecting to be blown back far enough from the ronin. Craning your neck, you look up to see Kazuha floating in the air briefly before he gracefully landed on the tree behind him, the smugest smile on his face. At least, in your eyes. You don't remember Kazuha being the playful type, much less him being a shameless tease. This wasn't what you signed up for, coming here.
Reaching for your weapon, it didn't take long for the samurai to close the distance between the two of you, bandaged hands wrapping against your wrists.
“You—”
“A warrior must always be on guard when faced with the enemy. You never know what tricks they might use to strike.” He whispered with a smile, his face centimeters away from your own. Refusal coursed through your veins. No, no, no, I can still fight!
“F...Fight me or–or...Or I'll punch you!” You visibly cringed at your poor choice of words.
Kazuha stared at you for a few seconds, catching the barest hint of surprise before he chuckled. He ignored your flustered expression and lifted you up, releasing his hold on your wrists. “Very well, then...”
You shook off the blush, taking your stance since he finally accepted your challenge. Summoning your weapon at hand, you channelled your vision to get the first hit when something fluttered on your cheek. The feeling was quick before it disappeared, the remnants of a breeze brushing your skin. What just happened? You looked around, noticing the lack of Kazuha in the vicinity.
Did he just...?
“Warrior of Ice,
We shall meet under the tree,
Next time the leaves dance.”
You spot him near the crumbled statues above, a trail of Anemo dissipating behind him. His back was facing you, a hand in the air as he waved goodbye to you. It took you a moment to register the events that just occured before you slapped a hand on your cheek, a shout crawling out of your throat.
“WHAT THE HELL?!”
˙❥˙♡
I was so angry about getting Zhongli (still am) that it was enough to motivate me to finish this.

Treasure
Yandere!Beidou x mermaid!fem!reader
Wordcount: 1290
Sailors are superstitious folk.
Beidou knows this, of course, having to hear reports from her crew about the monsters and curiosities more wondrous than any imagination. Most of them are false - weeks of seeing only the vast azure of the sea below and the sky above will deceive anyone's eyes, no matter how level-headed and sober one might be.
Still, the captain allows her sailors some frivolities, such as buying charms and amulets believed to ward off ghosts and malicious spirits, allowing to burn a special incense that is said to scare the monsters, giving them extra time off-duty to chant prayer to whatever deity they might worship. After all, sailors are superstitious folk and crew rioting in the middle of the ocean is the sure way to die. If all it takes to ensure a smooth sail and the safety of her ship throughout it is spending some mora and entertaining some chants, then Beidou will happily do it.
Moreover, not all of the reports are false, the ones that are true are both a promise and a threat, a reason why Beidou became a captain, as she had once had her own encounter with the wonder of the sea.
She was green as a leaf back then with both eyes intact, a scrawny girl after barely reaching the cusp of adulthood, not yet a fearsome captain of the Crux, not yet a legendary warrior who slew haishan without divine aid and blessing. She still had to grow into bravery and confidence present in her current self.
Beidou travelled with the other crew on the other ship, not as a captain, but a warrior and attendant, possessing both the skills with the blade and boundless energy required to make one truly irreplaceable on the busy ship.
One day, they stopped by one of the misty islands unmarked on any map in the middle of nowhere. It wasn't a planned stop - during the journey some sea beasts attacked the ship, creating a couple of holes in the ship's body. They were small enough for sailors to quickly cover them, allowing crew to buy some time and make a real fix.
Some sailor frowned, looking at the dense and milky white sheet of mist enveloping the island in a tight grip - some believed that uncountable horrors to lurk within such mists, but to Beidou, who yearned for the sensation of solid, unmoving land under her feet for the last few weeks, such fears were nothing but a nonsense of greying crones and pathetic drunk. She left the ship when others were fixing the leaks, to stretch her legs she laughed to the scared faces of her crewmates and headed into the depths of the island.
New sights opened to her, as she continued her journey, silhouettes and then sights of trees, rocks and other plants peeking through the mists, before she reached the lake.
It was a magical sight to behold - round and tranquil, it's surface as flat and as smooth as a reflection in the mirror. Beidou took careful steps, still enchanted by the beauty of the place, her heart quickly beating inside her ribs, like a captured bird beating against its own cage. For some reason an awe overcame her entire being and never once in her life she felt like this.
Beidou doesn’t know how long she stayed like that - frozen by the serenity of the place, but she does know it was long enough for you to appear, disrupting the water surface.
Ripples appeared, as your face and body rose from the depth of the lake. You didn;t emerge completely but it was still enough to give Beidou a sight of your breasts, a gentle curve of the waist and hips through a translucent water. It was also enough to ignite a flame of passion and want inside the sailor’s chest.
“Oh, what a brave warrior came to me today”, you almost sang, noticing Beidou, the giant word behind her back and her quickly reddening cheeks, your voice flowing like water and wind.
It prompted her to awake from her stupor, and she took another few steps, out of curiosity and desire. Beidou heard the legends about your kind, mermaids and sirens in Mondstadt and Fontaine, rusalki in Snezhnaya, ningyo in Inazuma and jiaoren in her homeland. All cultures across the world have some type of the similar legends, describing the daughters of the oceans and sea breezes, as beautiful and graceful as they are deadly and treacherous. Beidou grew up hearing these, but never did she seriously believe them, so for a short second her mind blanked and she forgot about the danger your kind poses.
"Will this beautiful and brave warrior give me a kiss, I wonder?", you continued, lifting yourself from the water some more and revealing a pair of nipples. Large drops still embellished them, glistening in the dim light like the finest jewels. Beidou gulped looking at them and wondered how would your breasts feel inside her mouth, what sounds would you make if she bit and sucked on them. Would you ask for more or beg her to stop? “Of course I will”, she answered, without really thinking and leaned down to you, your hands embracing her face and neck feeling like a blanket on a cold day - it was simply right. With you up close, Beidou got a better look at your face and skin - you looked like you were made out of water, with the smooth skin and flowing moves, facial features too perfect to belong to a human standing out. You looked gorgeous and terrifying at the same time, mesmerizing and nonhuman, a personification of the sea itself. A treasure she deserves.
“I am glad”, you gave her an intense look, before covering her lips with yours, sending the future captain in the moment of pure ecstasy. It felt good. So good that she didn’t notice water covering her face and body and your arms tugging her deeper and deeper, to the bottom of the lake, still invested into the kiss that is too good to be real.
The realization of what you are doing hit her once her lungs started to burn from the lack of air. She tried to part with you, but your grip on her only tightened and you partened your lips, now determined to drag your prey back to your living place. A short struggle ensued - it ended with you losing your victim and Beidou losing her eye.
The sight of her all wet, bloodied and one-eyed was enough for the ship captain to order a quick retreat from the island, disgruntled mutters of “cursed mists” and “stupid arrogant newbies” neard for the next few weeks.
One would think that this encounter would push Beidou to become a more cautious, fearful person, yet it only rekindled the sparkle that pushed her to become a sailor in the first place, leading her to slaying haishan and receiving her own vision.
As a captain of the Crux she did things unachievable and unimaginable for the average person, laughing in the face of danger and peril, slaying both monsters and humans on her way alike, unbound by the mythos and legends of the sea.
Sailors are superstitious folk, most of them are.
Beidou stands on the board of her own ship, glorious and perfect Crux, no longer green as a leaf, new scars and weapons and vision on her hip adorning her intimidating figure, a legendary warrior that slew the great leviathan, already confident and brave. Familiar misty island appears on the horizon.
But I am not the most, she thinks to herself, smiling at the opportunity to finally take the treasure she is owed.

pairing: beidou x gn reader
req: yes | wc: 915
anon: could i req beidou teaching reader how to fight after she took them in?
a/n: tbh the prompt seemed more motherly/platonic to me
Tumblr media
You were always grateful for Beidou taking you into the Crux, really, you were. You just wish training wasn’t so hard and that her persistent spirit wasn’t so strong.
You’ve never been a fighter, as you lacked the knowledge of how to wield a weapon. Even after Beidou saved you from several bands of treasure hoarders, even after she took you into her fleet, you didn’t have much interest in it either.
The captain held her crew’s interests in mind, far, far above hers. For weeks, she let you off with small reminders every once in a while: “We ought to teach you how to fight!” and “Those nimble hands of yours could be used for something that isn’t fishing.” or “With proper training, maybe you could even beat me at an arm wrestling!”
She was as persistent as the daily sunsets and sunrises. You knew that in her heart she only wanted to take care of you and make sure you knew how to defend yourself. Yet, upon hearing the stories from your crewmates that had previously been trained by her, you couldn’t help but shiver.
Juza often exaggerated things –Beidou’s excitable and unbreakable spirit had rubbed off on him. However, when he told tales of her tenacious grip and unbeatable strength, there was a certain firmness in his voice that made you believe him, for once. Even Suling, an exceedingly strong man –as required of an ironmonger, cowered under your captain’s training.
Was the doubting really your fault?
Though sooner or later, you would have to learn. What could have been your final straw? None other than the newest member, even newer than you, Kazuha.
You naively thought that he would be someone like you: a gentle person, not a fighter nor a warrior. While half of that was true, you’d glossed over several details. Kazuha was an illegal immigrant from Inazuma, a vision-bearer at that. It was easy to say he knew his way around a battle.
Every member of the fleet, from helmsman to bookkeeper, could handle themselves in the chaotic dance that was battle. Tired of being the only exception, you finally talked it through with Beidou.
“About time.” Beidou chuckles, cracking her knuckles somewhat menacingly. “How long have you been here, (y/n)? A Couple weeks? You’ve avoided this long enough.” Way to rub it in.
“Well,” She clears her throat. “we can start now.”
Wait, what? Was she actually being serious? “N-Now?”
“I don’t see why not.” She waves her hands in a grand theatrical motion at the shore around you. “I don’t see any hilichurls or people nearby to obstruct us. After all, we need full focus.”
“F-Full focus?” She seemed to be amused by your meekness.
“Don’t worry, Juza and the crew’s stories are just exaggerations. You could even call them fairy tales!” She waves a hand dismissively, smiling her usual golden soft smile. In most circumstances, it’s enough to reassure you. But now that you’re alone with your impending doom just seconds in front of you, it seems a little scary.
“Let’s start with our fists.” She makes sure you know the basis of a punch, the stance, the grip and the precautions. After that, she stands tall and holds her ground. “Punch me.”
“Huh?”
“Punch me.” She says it like it’s the easiest thing in the world.
You muster up all your strength –and your prayers, so as to not make her angry. Beidou wouldn’t be angry, but you were only 97% sure of that– and punch her on the upper arm.
She doesn’t even flinch. “That was…” For the first time since you’ve known her, she’s at a loss for words.
Immediately, you think of the worse. “Weak?”
“No, no, no!” She waves her hands wildly in an effort to reassure you. It doesn’t work. “You’re not weak, not at all. In fact, that was a good punch!” You could tell there was something off about the ‘truth’ of her words.
Beidou has always had a soft spot for you. This was something you didn’t realize; and something that, when brought up by others, you denied. It just seemed so unreasonable!
The captain of the Crux Fleet, famous for defeating the leviathan Haishan, had a soft spot for you. Were they even talking about the same person?
But now more than ever, it’s obvious that she is soft for you.
She was, at times, brutally honest. You’d known her for long enough to know how she acted when she lied. It was the exact fact that she didn’t lie often that you knew how she behaved when she did. There was a slight change in demeanor and delivery of words, and when the lie was over, she was back to how she always was. That is exactly what happened just now.
Her smile is back and wide as can be. She clasps her hands over your shoulders and squeezes hard in reassurance. "We've yet to make a warrior out of you." You can already feel bruises forming from her grip.
Even through her soft spot for you, the training was absolutely draining. This was to be expected –and something you had to accept before deciding to start it in the first place– but not something your body was prepared for.
Beidou’s strong, she has been for years, so much so that you think she’s forgotten how it is to be an average person. These next four weeks were going to be hell on Earth.
