Yautja Husband with a wife who loves expensive purchases 🤎

(Notice: First time doing this. I know it's not ENTIRELY relatable but the idea popped into my head and I just couldn't go to bed. It's more self-indulgency than anything but I love thinking about Yautjas who are respectfully terrified of their ooman companions.)

(Notice P2: I know the title says wife but that's up to you! Yautja probably don't mind narrative changes, and I sure don't either!)

So you just married a retired hunter. He's been through some injuries, he's old, he's bored... the reason doesn't matter. What matters is, he's somehow loaded, be it with Earth currency or his planet's own.

Of course he expects a high-maintenance wife. I mean, you're an ooman and they're very squishy so they need a lot of stuff.

So when you bring him to the mall to buy stuff, let's just say he's resigned and will buy anything for you.

What he doesn't expect though, is how much you can actively BLEED from him.

Bakery purchases that disappear in two days time would amount to at least fifty bucks.

Most of them would be your favourite pastries (and a few treats for hubby too because you feel like he needs more than the cake he naturally has).

Onwards, the clothes store wasn't a big deal but you DID get yourself a new leather jacket and wallet and handbag and shoes...

Up to a thousand or more in purchases and he's already starting to worry. Is this a rite-of-passage type thing? A chance to prove how worthy he is as a mate? A chance to show off how much he cares?

Well he doesn't care because seeing your little ooman smile takes all the financial pain away.

Then you head on over for new towels and blankets and pillows.

He thinks you already have a lot back at home but hoarding is a common Yautja custom and he gets to keep his own collections so why would he judge yours?

Then you're off to the bookstore.

Oh boy.

He has never known pure terror unlike that day.

That moment.

When he sees you lifting STACKS of literature effortlessly.

Not just short stories and novels, mind you. No, you're an addict and there's no 6-up 5-oh here.

So when he sees you stroll up to him with the thickest stack of books he's ever seen in his life (twice as thick and almost as tall as him!) his mandibles open wide in shock.

He knew his waifuu was strong but this?

This was a whhole new level.

He watched as you glazed over him into the counter.

His hands begin to shake as he pulls out his credit card.

This was thrice as much as the bakery and other misc. purchases combined.

He's traumatised.

BUT. REMEMBER. HE'S A YAUTJA.

So he pays for your stuff with the shakiest hands you've seen him with.

He attempts to lift the stacks of books but he almost collapses under its weight. You take it from him instead, suggesting that he only lifts the other stuff they bought. He is far too happy to oblige.

On the way back home, as you're happily sleeping in the car (or whatever spaceship you two got legal permit for), he starts to question reality.

He believes you're THE strongest being in the universe. No Kiande Amedha could stand against you. Not even the Queen. Not even the Queen-Mother.

He marvels at your strength and analyses your purchases. You've got a thing for warm and savoury tastes. You've always been comfy with your old stuff but you wouldn't mind a change in scenery. You're a drug addict on a serious high. Nothing could top that.

Turns out oomans aren't so fragile after all. You could lift him with zero exertion. His admiration for you multiplies tenfold.

You two spend a lot of bonding time together after that and you didn't even lay a single cent on purchases for the next three months. You have captured his utmost respect in a way he had never even thought of prior.

He awaits any future shopping trips with anxiety and a twice-loaded wallet though. Yautja learn from their mistakes very fast.
