The sweetest colleague gifted me an adorable, well rooted cutting of her variegated string of hearts 💕 I've soaked them, put more rooting powder on, potted it up awaiting more growth 🌿✨️ . #WitchyVibes #PlantMom #PLNTS #PlantsForEveryone #Hearts #SOH #VSOH #VariegatedStringOfHearts #Variegated #VariegatedPlants #DogMom #AlternativeGirl (at Wilton, Wiltshire) https://www.instagram.com/p/Ce1Hf8pMPN-/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
at this point i'm convinced there's something in the water supply here because i've had an alocasia bloom, my tradescantia was blooming a few weeks ago, vsoh was blooming last month, my krimson queen has bloomed twice and they're apparently kind of finnicky for hoya, heuschkeliana is blooming a second time, my bella is forming blooms even after i chopped it up, and now this pterodactyl which is only a year or so old. like hello
emptied, cleaned, and reorganized the upper three shelves on my big shelf.
pruned a bunch of dead/dying/ugly leaves.
cut my m. acacoyaguensis back to start over.
cut and completely started over my vsoh.
And that's what I can remember specifically. That's probably most of it actually lol. But I've been trying to slowly get rid of stuff that doesn't "bring me joy" (I hate that phrase but it's the fastest way to say what I want to say 😝). Reorganizing my shelf helps because there was just something about it that was bothering me. The other day I moved most of my succulents to the left kitchen window (by the fridge) because the other window is so crowded it needed less visual interest. I hope I'm not getting into another hyper focus period with my plants because they seem to suffer more when I spend more time doting on them. I'm definitely more in tune with them than I was before and I'm finally out of the overspending phase of it - thank fucking god - so I'm not worried about regret or anything like that.
On another note, I just became a mother to a peace lily I found out by the dumpster. Poor babe looked like trash, but I brought her in, gave her a good chop and a good water, and its like nothing even happened 😎 what an over night transformation!
Y'all gotta stop throwing your plants out! Someone wants it and someone can probably save it!
I split up my calathea rattlesnake since she was getting so big i just thought it would look better and I had the extra space, air plant is also doing well i actually ordered another one bc my mom bought a little snowman air plant holder for like ¢80 so like why not? :3 not sure about the tiger tooth aloe they were getting a bit stressed in my other light so they're on my dimmer shelf but they just seem not so good :[
Also on this shelf but not in the picture, I've started cucumber plants :D they're still very little just starting their first leaves but they are here
The spiders are still doing good :D my cat did accidently kick them over the other day but they'll be okay they are strong:)
Sedum seems to be struggling, they also got kicked over a couple weeks ago but they are not handling it well, the pilea is also not doing so well but I'm not sure why
On the same shelf is my basil:D she's doing so great and she's started to smell like basil!!! It's so cool definitely one of my favorites rn
My regular aloe is also getting a little stressed by the light so I might move them if it seems to be slowing their growth or anything
My VSOH is fine, they're not growing very much right now but I think it's just because of the winter
Lithop is doing its lithop things :)
I've been trying to start daisies and catnip but I'm kinda struggling with growing smaller seedlings at the moment, big ones like sunflower and cucumber and even the basil started pretty easily but I just can't really get the daisies and catnip to grow :/
SUNFLOWER 🌻💥
they've been shadowing the radish a bit but they are growing so well :DD so proud of them
