In late 2019, I crossed these two Schlumbergeras. About 6 months later, the fruit had ripened and I was able to harvest and plant the seeds. This is what they looked like last summer. Today, the first flower on the first of the seedlings has opened. Funnily enough, the color is almost a perfect mix of its parents!
I’ve had this Hoya callistophylla for 1 year and 4 months and she’s come so far. Dare I say, beyond my wildest dreams? (Ha!) I’m gonna need a bigger trellis, and eventually a bigger pot. In the meantime, determined blooming! (More peduncles incoming it looks like)
Found a baby photo for those interested in glow ups!
