I've just accidentally created another Rogue Trader and am now suffering since Theciya does not feel like vacating any space in my poor mind so clearly it's my daily life that has to go to make space now...
Anyways, meet Silence
Yes, that's her given name, perfectly in line with the other members of her lower-decks voidborn clan. Of which she doesn't remember much, honestly, since she was taken upon the Black Ship while 6-8 years old or so. Not that she knows the exact number, mind you, but it happened before she could start doing any meaningful work with her clan, so certainly below 10.

Hey all, I’ve officially begun a new Danny Phantom AU: Space Core Danny, the Eldritch Edition.
I’m mostly writing short prompts and thoughts for the moment, but I might put together a full fic. We’ll see where the inspiration takes me. For now, enjoy the newest installment!

When the portal flared to life, Danny didn’t fall to the floor or stumble from the machine or any number of things one might expect from encountering death. He did hear himself scream, did learn the agony of harboring lightning within his bones, did feel the unmaking of his very being, but only vaguely, as if watching an old projection movie from far, far away.
No, in that moment, Danny changed.

Protagonist of Voidborn, an idea I had to expand upon the world of Godslayer in a fun (for me, not her) webcomic thats styled after the creative ideas of MSPA and Prequel. I guess you could call it 'fanventure' adjacent. Of course, to utilize those ideas you kinda have to have a community willing and excited to give their input, which I do not— so I'll likely be flying solo for the beginning stages of bringing that story to life. Which is fine, not any different than a regular webcomic lol
I've been calling her Istra just to have something to call her, but really she's nameless.

These factions use bioengineered organic weapons and defenses; they use no technology as we currently understand it (stone tools, gears and steam engines, circuitry and wires, etc).
Obsessed with evolution, mutations, etc
Kha'Zix from League of Legends: Change... is gooooood. Consume and adapt.
Abathur from Starcraft: Look at flesh, see only potential. Strands, sequences, twisting, separating, joining. See how it could be better. Eat flesh, splinter bone. Inside me, can touch it. Weave it. Spin it. Make it great.
Genestealer cult leader from WH40K: We are biological perfection. We blend the ingenuity and cunning of Mankind with the blessings of the Star Children. We are stronger, faster, more intelligent than any who challenge us. We will take that which is ours from the upworlders, and remake it in the image of our true masters. It is our destiny.
Some of these factions feature a hive mind, like the Swarm Zerg and the Tyranids. The Voidborn are given common purpose by their creators even if they are not directly controlled. The kythons are not mentioned to have such an overriding intelligence, but it may be worth homebrewing.
They side with no one but themselves; they have no need for alliances; they oppose all and consume all. There is no reasoning with them.

What the actual fuck is Voidborn, you might ask? Why it's my homebrew Vampire: The Masquerade clan! It comes with a unique clan bane and clan compulsion, and three new Disciplines with nine abilities each!
What are the Disciplines?
Gelidkinesis: Frost magic which is excellent against mortals, and a great choice for people in deep space! Who needs thermal regulation when you want to freeze to death!
Warpledge: Gravity magic with a healthy serving of mobility! Fall upwards! Lock people in place! Fuck with their senses! You can get up to all kinds of shenanigans when gravity is yours to command!
Lumino: Sun magic that sears your insides! Sure, sunlight coursing through the veins of a vampire seems like a bad idea, and that's because it is! With the light of Sol in the palm of your hand, you are a master at hunting vampires!

Sometimes, after a messy fight and the sting of new wounds and the chorus wailing of humans and police sirens and the flash-bang camera lights of wannabe reporters mixing with the dizzy whirl of emergency blues and reds and ecto green… sometimes it was easy to miss the little things, the tiny quiet things, in the loud and the bright and the chaos.
Like a kid, curled into a ball in the back of an alley, too scared to cry or move or hardly breathe. It was easy to look right past the scraped knees and dirty elbows, the missing shoe, the ectoplasmic handprint on the back of their shirt.
Poor thing might as well have been invisible.
But you see, Danny knew how these big fights usually went, knew how quickly the eyes turned towards the spectacle, how quickly everything else was forgotten.
He’d been there.

the prologue of rouge trader took me 4 hours to beat lol and so far i love the setting... i love how scary it is and ALSO Idira is my love... accidentally made my character incredibly similar to her (like also a psyker w glowing magenta eyes) and i will never take her out of my party. this might be another aloth situation...
