Aight first Connection Terminated ref sheet done let’s go

Here’s Ink’s design!!

For context, brief summary of Connection Terminated’s plot here.

So, CT!Ink’s nickname is Brush, not very creative I know. But that’s just because these nicknames are only to be used by us as observers of the AU, in-universe they all still refer to each other by their original names.

Soooo character description time below the cut, boys- read the initial info post first or you’ll be confused.

Ink started to dust when the multiverse began collapsing, but was saved by Anti-Virus swooping in to activate his failsafes and apply code that allows Ink to live without his vials. Due to almost falling apart but never fully doing so, he is somewhat “scarred”, in the form of more black blotches all over his body. Ink has retained all of his memories from prior to the collapse. He’s got a very ring-leader type vibe and he’s the one enthusatically greeting the others and keeping things running. He’s often floating around observing things and trying to manage, often coming off as suspicious or shifty. He’s heavily pre-occupied with bringing XGaster back but he tries to hide it from everyone but Anti. No alterior motives, just wants the best and is being questionable. Trying to keep everyone sane until they figure something out.

His speaking font is Bad Script!

I should probably also mention that every character has a proper code name/name in the code, the title of the filegroup that makes them up.

Ink’s is “ai.ink_brush/protector:role/top:rank/sans:form/auto:vials[file-repair-failsafe].char”

now to translate-

“ai” - denotes that Ink is operating on a more independent level than other characters ; Ink is not tethered to any AU, nor is he really your typical “outcode”, he is a core, designated guardian. And thus I choose to label him as being supposedly an AI rather than an NPC like most of the other characters.

“ink_brush” - this is just a name, basically

“protector:role” - speaks for itself, he has the role of a protector

“top:rank” - rank within the multiversal hierarchy, Ink is at the top of the powercreep even if he’s not exactly the “strongest” (and no I will not debate this topic)

“sans:form” - Ink is a shapeshifter, noting his physical form makes sense.

“auto:vials” - the variable that denotes how much “vial energy” he still has left in his system, Anti found a way to make this auto-fill itself

“[file-repair-failsafe]” - his file was repaired and utilized failsafes, not completely rebuilt

“char” - he is a character

ok that was a lot, but I hope it lets people understand how these code names work, they won’t be super important but I just like them so they’re here to stay.

Welcome to the Sweet Voice Cafe, a HLVRAI AU!

The cafe serves ice cream, hot drinks, and a few options of pastries! Their special includes different themed ice creams with sweet voice ingredients that give actual effects. (Calming, kindness, sleepiness, love, etc.) The decorations are loud and bright, driving away most “karens”. Sunkist is the mascot! The science team has a large apartment upstairs where they reside. It’s basically a collection of Outcodes. This is an AU where Black Mesa, aliens, and powers don’t exist. They simply exist in the Half Life video games. The government has taken notice of this establishment, but are so frightened by the unknown powers of these entities, that they don’t take action.

Information about all characters below!

Benrey (Benny)

He/It/They (He preferred) Nonbinary Omnisexual

He messed around and found out, escaping his reality for but a few minutes. The universe didn’t like that and hard reset, replacing them with an identical Benrey. He can visit his old AU, but if he ever tries to interact with someone he gets teleported out of distance. He eventually found the Sweet Voice Cafe. In his free time, he enjoys working there (it supplies sweet voice or works the cash register sometimes), playing video games, or traveling the multiverse, usually the latter.

Outfits include blues, purples, and pinks, plus sort of 80s aesthetics. Comfy clothes like hoodies and sweatshirts. It does have some casual hats, but his helmet is a comfort item.

- Fast Healing/Immortality

- Flying/Floating

Mr. Coomer

He/Him Trans Bisexual

He’s from an AU where he became self-aware way too early on and panicked. The game didn’t like that and expelled him from the universe. He floated in the void for a bit, but luckily not long enough to go crazy, less than a couple of days. He was rescued by Bubby and they ended up traveling together for a while before meeting the others and settling down. He became a co-owner of Sweet Voice Cafe, but enjoys working alongside everyone, usually greeting customers. He’s a very fun and extroverted manager, but takes harassment of his employees very seriously. A look alone can scare off the worst of customers.

Outfits include collared shirts, Hawaiian shirts, and rolled up sleeves. Likes green tones and bootleg brand logos.

Powers:

- Sweet Voice

- Advanced Biotech (extendo arms/legs, rocket launcher arm, artificial colon, etc.)

- Sometimes unable to feel pain and others times feels it to the extreme (not allowed to work with the hot items)

- Glow in the dark eyes/Night vision

- Can eat anything (he’s considered the trash disposal lol)

Bubby

He/Xim Agender Pansexual Demiromantic

Bubby’s world was dismantled very quickly by a virus, only a few minutes into gameplay. Bubby had only met Tommy for a short moment. When the world glitched out of existence, his body went into overdrive to protect him. Xe floated through the void for a long time in a coma. He finally awoke when a faceless NPC let him out. After exploring his powers, Xe traveled the multiverse alone at random for quite a while, a couple years at least. He met Coomer and they settled down in an unknown AU after about a year. He’s a co-owner of SVC, but prefers to work more behind the scenes, ordering people around in the kitchen and making hot drinks (no need to pay for machines yippee!). Although he’s strong enough to pick the AUs he goes to now, he only uses it to visit rage rooms lol. He has a couple pet Snarks named Pyro and Ember.

Fashion-wise, he would wear any type of outfit and SLAY. But his preferences include leather jackets, turtlenecks, and flowy skirts. He prefers cyan, black, red, and neon colors, especially if it has flame motifs. Xe doesn’t wear pastels unless it’s blue.

Powers:

- Ultimate Lifeform

- Pyrokinesis

- Controlled Multiversal Travel

- Turning into a car (and speaking to/controlling them)

- Translation of any language

- Telekinesis

- Pretty much any power you can think of. You have no idea what he will do next and he likes it that way.

Tommy Neapolitan

He/Him Cis Asexual Panromantic

Tommy hails from a world where he chose his last name based on ice cream, and loves smoothies instead of soda. He experienced the entire game before he was taken during his birthday party at Ben and Jerrys. (SVC) Gman, grieving from his loss, saw Tommy and embraced him, taking him with him to the next AU. With the lack of Tommy, his original world was overwritten to fix it, effectively replacing him. Gman and Tommy didn’t get along for the longest time, but now they’re on speaking terms, albeit tense. Tommy manages most of the ice cream department because of his expertise in flavors. He also does the bookkeeping.

Tommy wears mostly soft colors, usually yellow, orange, and pink coded. He prefers loose clothing, but ties it back when working with food.

Powers:

- Time powers

- Glow in the dark eyes/Night vision

- Sweet voice (better at reading than speaking it though)

- Semi-photographic memory

Gordon Martinez

He/Him Trans Bisexual

Because he hails from a “it is a game” AU, you can imagine how shocking it was when supernatural stuff happened in his OWN home, not in the VR set. To this day, he’s still unsure what exactly happened. Aliens? The government? Fairies? He doesn’t know and doesn’t care. When they started getting attacked, his first instinct was of course to protect his son. Soon enough, Bubby rescued them and brought them to SVC. He is divorced, but luckily Gordon has full custody and is just grateful his son is safe. He was more than happy to settle down, despite Joshua’s grumblings. He helps with the miscellaneous baking in the kitchen. His bestseller is his croissants! In his free time, he enjoys streaming or binge watching tv.

He’s drawn to warm colors for his outfits, usually oranges and browns. He likes sweaters or shirts with funny dad jokes. He has a couple of hoodies as well.

Joshua Martinez

He/Him

Joshua is 6 years old. He doesn't understand what happened, but whines to Gordon about missing his friends and why they can’t go back. He’s happy he gets a big room to himself now at least! Gordon eventually enrolled him in a nearby school. He enjoys cowboys, dinosaurs, music, and video games. His least favorite class is math. He very much enjoys the free ice cream he gets from the shop. Benrey had to be scolded for giving him too much one time asdgfhjkl.

Tshirts with logos! Doesn’t have a color preference yet, but does enjoy his cowboy hat and assorted bandanas the team keeps getting him.

Powers:

- Puppy dog eyes you cannot resist (but should learn to)

George Mantle (GMan)

He/It Agender Aroace

George lost his Tommy in a freak accident that also wiped out his entire world. He wandered the multiverse aimlessly, unfortunately not finding any AUs with a Tommy either. It met a Slick once, but noticed how differently they sounded and acted, so he didn’t pry. The first Tommy he saw was Neapolitan. He immediately hugged him, and the universe decided “oh hey, angst” and kicked them both out. It took a very long time for the two to get on good terms. It tries its best in forming a connection though. Gman focuses on keeping the establishment running and secretly watches the government to make sure they don’t do something… unwise to his friends. He wants nothing to do with multiversal travel anymore, no siree.

He wears lots of suits. They’re just the most comfortable to him. They do end up varying in color and pattern. One time Tommy got him a long sleeved shirt with a pattern of a fake suit on it and he nearly cried. (Tommy took it to mean the gift was bad, but Gman was just moved his “son” was trying to make a connection.)

Powers:

- Time manipulation

- Clipping/glitching

- Teleportation

- Invisibility

- Glowing eyes/Night vision

- Could breathe in space/underwater but has no interest in doing so.

Forzen

He/She Bigender Abrosexual

Forzen doesn’t quite remember where he came from. She just woke up here one day, I guess. He doesn’t live with the science team and only shows up every once and a while as a customer. He only orders original Rocky Road ice cream. In reality, the government asked her to keep an eye on SVC. Since this is a world where aliens and supernatural occurrences don’t exist, they’re very unsure how to handle the situation. Frozen is laid back and bored over the whole thing. She’s just happy he gets a free living space and unlimited pizza and textbooks at his disposal. The government asked what he wanted to graduate in, and he never ever elaborated.

He mostly wears baggy t-shirts and jeans, sometimes cargo pants. Dull colors or funny phrases.

Powers:

- Teleportation

- Super Speed

- Indestructibility (this greatly frightens the government, especially after he denied wanting to fight for their military)

Darnold

They/He/She Genderfluid Asexual Demiromantic

Darnold is from an unknown AU. Maybe. They either remember and don’t want to talk about it, or don’t care. She very quickly adapts to the new place and the science team welcomed him into their apartment. He very much enjoys his place in the cafe, able to experiment and mix flavors and sweet voice combinations in his lab. Tommy tried to help gather sweet voice, but he’s not good enough at it himself, and Sunkist wouldn’t listen. So Darnold has to stock up on the sporadic times Benrey returns. They enjoy flying kites and playing TF2 in their spare time.

Their favorite outfit is sweater vests and she enjoys darker warm colors, like maroon and purple. She collects various bow ties.

Powers:

- Fast Healing

- Flying

- Not much else, but can invent stuff easily from scrap metal and spare parts

Sunkist

She/He/It

No one knows where Sunkist came from because, well, she can’t speak. As he is the perfect dog, he doesn’t shed, and is allowed to freely roam the cafe, or wherever else she’d like to wander off to. As the mascot, it is well beloved by the community. It can change his form from a flat (and slightly glowing and transparent) png to a human-sized dog at will. Very quickly bonded with Tommy and became a support when he was struggling with the situation. It cares for everyone on the science team, regardless of whether it listens to their demands or not.

Sometimes wears bandanas, collars, or bows with soda motifs. No one gifted it to her, she just appears with them sometimes and they may change when you blink . . .

Powers:

- Immortal and indestructible

- Clipping and flying

- Teleportation

- Glowing (including in 3D form, but it's by random)

Ah fuck I've done it again

Amalgam AI AU

I've seen some AUs about the humans being AI instead of Caine and I thought that might be the simplest way to get this monstrosity to happen with a massive glitch without abstraction playing a part.

I think I just really like horror AUs and doing stuff like that is just so fun so I made another one with a better title than "Horror House" cuz c'mon what the hell does that mean lol

The only characters I don't have designed currently are Zooble, Caine, and Bubble but I'll add them soon. Caine will be a human, Bubble could be something to help him out and what not.

Inspired by AUs like Sm-baby's and The Horror Circus AU, but like, different ofc.

Think this: the game wasn't originally supposed to be a horror game, just a game you go through for fun. Like Undertale, I guess? But not quite

[WARNINGS: LOTS OF EYES/ARACHNID IMAGERY, BODY HORROR, EYESTRAIN]

So first and foremost, I think people would wanna see Pomni, though Jax was the first to be designed.

Pomni is supposed to be some sort of anti-virus or some sort of protecting thing. Supposed to fix bugs and glitches and prevent viruses from getting into the game. Like a firewall, I guess? I tried to make her look like "right/wrong" esc thing. She was the last to be designed and it was like 1 am when I designed her. I had no clue what to do with her, I'll be completely honest.

Story wise, she'd be trying to find a way to undo this massive glitch and get the game back to normal before she can even rest. Once Caine pops up to try and fix the game from inside, as a dev himself, she does her best to protect him and help him fix the game.

No there is no shipping in this AU, they're just helping each other basically survive. They might become friends over time but nothing more. :V

Next up: Ragatha and Gangle! I actually really like Gangle's design but Ragatha definitely needs a few tweaks I think.

Ragatha, before this massive glitch, would have been an NPC that would help a player out at the start but end up getting lost after a certain point, like a tutorial. She was the most caring character in the game before everything went down.

Gangle used to be someone who ran a little theatre thing in the game, as I've seen from other AUs and took inspiration from, but she's usually nice no matter what mask she has on. More arms means she can help more people at once, right? Game mechanics wise she was like a little shop keeper for costumes if they're needed and she can help with newer mechanics on stage if something new is added. Friendly NPC, you know? Love her design, too!

Now for the first two to be designed, Jax and Kinger!!

So Jax was like a reoccurring villain, I guess. Always trying to make the player quit the game or just scare the shit out of them, despite him not being very scary himself. He's more played off to be a joke character, if I'm honest, always failing with his antics and what not. It's part of the code! I actually like his design, small lil paws and just so shapey over all.

Kinger was like a final boss, I guess? The scariest of all of them at that time. He was a king, ruling over his pawns and such, all of which were also bug themed! I love making Kinger bug related it's so fun. He's a big softie in reality but hits like a train if you ever went against him. He had terrible vision despite all of his eyes and was very slow despite the amount of legs.

Now for what everyone has been waiting for.

The reason for the AU title.

The MASSIVE glitch that caused everything to go downhill.

The Amalgam.

I still think it needs a few tweaks here and there but this is one of four concepts I've had for it.

One time all four of these characters were together, which was relatively rare but possible, a glitch happened in the game. Pomni doesn't know where it started from and none of the game devs understand how it happened, but it did. Some devs think there's a hacker. A massive glitch pulled those four characters together into one terrifying being, always hostile and destructive. All the code of the characters were merged into this thing and somewhat scrambled. The game has now been broken to where once you're in, you can't escape until it's fixed, yet no one knows it, which is why Caine went in.

So much has happened and it's still being fixed, but a hostile blob of characters constantly attacking whenever it's near? It will be hard to fix.

It seems to be guarding something.

Concepts for the amalgam:

You can see in the first one I was going to put Zooble there but I still need a good design for Zooble. Let's see what they'll be.

Currently trying to not get sidetracked into yet another project but... Homestuck Code Lyoko AU

The parallels are unreal:

Obviously the alpha kids would be the protagonists, because they're the group that has the most to do with AI.

Aelita used to be a human (though her friends, and her too I think, thought she was an AI entity) but was virtualized into Lyoko, the virtual world that functions pretty much like a capture the flag game (sound familiar?). That's 100% Hal.

XANA is actually a virus that infected the supercomputer Lyoko functions in. Its endgoal is taking over the world. So hear me out. XANA is Crockertier Jane.

I'm kind of torn on who would be Jeremy's equivalent. Dirk seems like the obvious choice, but there would have to be a REALLY good reason for Dirk wanting to bring Hal into the real world. Bonus points if Dirk digitalized Hal, Hal forgot and the others never knew, and the angst finding out would bring for everyone, Dirk and Hal first.

But Roxy also shares Jeremy's emotional motivations for wanting to save Aelita and bring her into the real world, other than to stop XANA, namely his crush on her. I do not think Hal/Roxy would ever be required, but Roxy wouldn't just stop trying to help Hal if she was rejected, and Hal is really good at obfuscating his real intentions so he could (un)intentionally lead her on.

I think Jeremy's role could be given to both, in different contexts. After all, Jeremy hardly fights inside Lyoko, he usually mains the computer from the real world. I think this is something Roxy would be more likely to do, but both of them are fighters so they could switch.

Jane and Jake obviously would help out in trying to stop XANA. Jane could have some great moments in facing the darkest parts of herself and her beliefs in the Betty Crocker brand.

Jake would mainly join for the adventure and because he wants to be the heroic savior, but it would become painfully clear he doesn't see Haelita (lmao) as a real person but just a virtual pet, an NPC like Princess Peach. Except this is better because when he's virtualized Hal can beat the fuck out of him.

god i havent asked questions in a WHILE but its mainly cuz ive been somewhat busy dealing with my horrible grades and having to fix them up. But now that they're foxed, i can finally have the time to ask questions, and they're for the new comic!!

1. who the hell was the guy Glevil choked?

2. Also confused on who's the big teeth lousy gal. Kinda lost track of my NPCS.

3. Will we get ref's/designs for the names/characters that Glevil mentioned, like for example; Arther?

4. Is there an exact reason on why Glevil is in so much denial?

5. What are the names of the two other mannequins?

6. Christ, is it me or did Boots' boots, well, now they're heels, get taller!?

7. I gotta say though, Boots looks so girlie pop. (/pos)

8. "You all made the choice to leave home!" and a few panels later, "You should be at home!" and I can't really tell if it's just an error, because my brain goes 'Wait a sec is it talking about like, they moved from their old home, Boots' is somewhere else?? Or huh??' so I kinda just want some confirmation on that!! (/lh)

9. What happened to Boots' hands-- (/genq)

10. To add onto #9, Jesus, what happened to Boots' face in some of the panels?? (again, /genq)

11. Can't tell what they're trying to do in the last frame, pull Glevil away? To be honest to me it kinda looks like Glevil's torso is bein' ripped off a bit, since it looks tilted.

3. Those are just example names and references to the other names that were in a naming competition for the green hat mannequin (Larch) we had in the Discord server. So if they were to get any ref sheets it'd be by the people who put in those names. If they want of course.

4. Not sure what this one means, but I'm assuming you mean by Boots being infected? Glevil isn't exactly in denial, at the time they had never seen such a virus especially one thay physically and mentally changed someone.

5. The green hat mannequin with the necklace is Larch (OC) and the purple hat one is Jim (NPC)

6. Boots has always been taller even in Regretevator, they tower over everyone. So naturally they still do haha.

7. They absolutely serve I know haha

8. I like to think in Regretevator, the mannequins all originate from one place (probably the backroom of the lobby) and that a lot of mannequins left that 'home' to go anywhere they want to like Mark and the gang who now do wood work! Naturally I'm gonna add all my HCs to my AU haha

9. After being infected they turned into stubs. Glevil and the others were very terrified of this at first.

10. Added some dramatic shadowing dw haha

11. Yeah it was difficult to draw that one I must admit, but they were trying to pull Glevil away or Boots off of them.

🎪{KAZE-MAZE ANOTHER TADC OC}🎪

From my tadc universe the mirror Au

After the arrival of Pomni and the departure of kaufmo we discover a wider world about NPCS and AIS in the digital circus games. Thanks to the return of Mimine, an anomaly which is supposed to be the adoptive daughter of caïne the ringmaster.

From what he explains he does not remember creating her but welcomed her before any player was embedded in the games. He did Ban her of the circus tent when she had a vampire behavior around the very first players.

But as she returned we are learning a little more about Mimine, Caine's daughter discovered that at one end of the void there is a parallel world of the circus ruled by a ring master named ABïEL the bear tamer. This world without real players is disabled of censorship. Theres only some NPCS who are tormented.

🎪AND FINALLY🎪

The character you see there is considered to be an NPC of the virus circus. Their name is

"KAZE-MAZE"

It's a ragdoll cat-lama that can be stretchy. And usually found in a maze its aim being to terrify careless players.

AITA for using my powers?

Hey, uh. For some much-needed context, I used to be just some average guy. But one day I was killed while live streaming myself playing this video game (which is a story for another day), and now I think my soul is trapped in the game. It sounds crazy, but one of the NPCs who I’ll call K (transfem, adult) told me that she also happened to die and got stuck in the game. Now I’m not saying that I doubted her…but I certainly believe her a lot more now that it happened to me.

Anyways, I wake up in the game and am understandably freaked out, especially because while I was playing, this weird virus thing called O (nonbinary, idk) antagonized everyone, and probably really dislikes me after I helped the characters kill them. If they had somehow survived, then I knew I was done for.

But they never showed up. And everything was going so well until I grew horns. And wings. And a tail….

I don’t know how it happened, but I think that I may have overridden O by accident, as I now bear a striking resemblance to them. I also have their powers, too. And as soon as I learnt this, I decided to use them for good and to improve the game world. I changed up some things, rewrote some code, you know. The works. But my NPC friends started looking more and more tense when I’m around. Some of them straight-up avoid me.

Wanting to get to the bottom of this, I track down K and ask her why everyone is acting so weird. She proceeds to yell at me, saying that “I’m making things worse” and “I’m just like O.” And I’m like, what the heck? I tried to explain to her that I was making the game a better place for everyone, and that I’m nothing like O, but K refused to listen to me.

She ran off and I understandably chased after her. I eventually lose K, and to make matters worse, that’s when I start hearing O’s voice in my head. But they didn’t sound malicious, nor condescending like they used to. They actually listened to me, and told me that K was acting irrationally.

They encouraged me to just ignore her and to continue changing the game, and they made some good points. How dare K say those things about me, and how dare everyone treat me like a monster? I helped her. I helped them all! And this is the thanks I get?

I think I’m going to listen to O. I mean, these are my powers now. I’d say I have the right to use them. I think everyone sees me as TA now. But what about you, internet? AITA?

I have spent. An insane fucking amount of time looking at MLP infection aus because a couple caught my attention. And now I have IDEAS and I need them OUT.

All under a read more because it's very rambly, and there's talks of body horror and stuff.

FUUUUCKING.

CODE ROT INFECTION AU.

It only targets those with high enough code densities. So Programs and Viruses are able to be infected, as are Code Manifestations and Offshoots. Guardians and Avatars can be infected, but they aren't adversely effected. NPCs and Abyss-borns are the only truly immune ones.

Code Rot comes from beings with incomplete code. In an attempt to try and make itself whole, it basically tries to.. take control the host and force it to find anyone who may have the slightest bit of similar code and take it by.. forceful means.

Code Rot Stages

Beings with feelings of itchiness and pain flares. Nothing too bad, but the infected down have occasional thoughts of being imperfect. But it's nothing that can't just be chocked up to as stress.

The itchiness and pain flares get worse. The infected begins to scratch, sometimes drawing blood. They'll report a feeling of imperfection and needing to fix it, but unaware why. They're a bit more finicky during this stage. They start to avoid people and feel like their mind isn't their own.

It goes from concerning to horrifying. They being to self-mutilate. The feelings of imperfection grow. Their code nearly has full control over their mind, and is deadset on finding perfect code to replace the imperfect. The infected is basically a walking host, becoming aggressive towards anyone who tries to stop it. They occasionally black out.

The infected continues to self-mutilate, and their body begins changing as well. Extra limbs, eyes, anything start appearing. The code is trying to be perfect. It can't be. The infected can't be saved.

There's nothing but a husk left at stage 5. The body is unrecognizable at this point. The Code Rot has full control, and it won't stop until its 'perfect'.

Infection can only be done through two ways; an open wound getting corrupted code into it or someone's incomplete code turning into Code Rot. So..

Who is the Patient 0?

WRONG, MFS! IT'S WHO ARE THE PATIENT ZEROES! THAT'S RIGHT! THERES MULTIPLE! BECAUSE ANGST IS MY FOOD!

So! Our Patient 0s are Juliano, Root, and Entropy. Their situations should all be self-explanatory.

Juliano was the first to realize something was wrong. Remember that he isn't fully an Avatar, but only has semi-Avatar code. So when different pains started coming up, pains different than the usual flare ups, he knew he shouldn't hide this one.

Entropy.. is just straight up fucked. There's no way around it. She's such a bad Failed Fusion that it's a miracle that, in the main au, the wireframe scars are her only problem. And if you remember.. she does have all those Programs and Viruses in those glass balls..

Root actually got attacked by a Virus with Code Rot in the code world. (I'm leaving this ambiguous for when it takes place, only that Root is on good terms with everyone.) She was incredibly freaked out by it. It was less that she was attacked and more than she got hurt, with the open wound on her shoulder to prove it. In her panic of being attacked, she accidentally cut her shoulder. The virus had some unrelated corrupted code that dropped into her, and it facilitated the Code Rot's spread.

Root and Juliano both reported what they were feeling to Vitality, coincidentally at the same time as Entropy reached about Stage 4 (her broken code made it very easy) and just started a massacre. She released all the infected prisoners she had, and the code world was thrown into absolute chaos.

Juliano and Root are both kept somewhere very secure. Juliano is allowed to free roam in the area where he and Root are kept, but Root is not. She understands why and is completely accepting of it.

They're not allowed visitors, except for those who are trying to figure out Code Rot and those confirmed to be immune.

With their limited knowledge, it's unfornately an extremely short list.

Juliano does his best to be there for Root, but as her stages progressively get worse.. he's kept away for his own safety.

Root's more 'virus-like' features come out during this time due to her slowly losing control of her code. Her antlers, her tail, her claws.. it's slow, but it's there. Meanwhile, Entropy is causing absolute chaos. Infected are running amuck, and no one has any clue what to do. It's anarchy.

AND THAT. IS ALL I HAVE.

I don't know who the full list of the immune, unfornately. Only the obvious.

You remember the devlogs from Kaycee’s Mod? Well, here’s my spin on them for the Apocalyption AU. If they were real, they’d be accessible without Kaycee’s Mod (though still needing to be unlocked.)

— Devlogs and DATA (Part 1/2) —

LOG 1

Today I finally get to do something meaningful with this company. From the day they hired me, all I got to do was bug hunt and playtest weird games from franchises that no one has even heard of.

I know that I’m not the most experienced coder out there, but come on! I can do so much more than what they’re letting me.

Anyways, they’re letting me work on this new project. Inscription, I believe it’s called? I know virtually nothing about it. But hey. I’m sure It’l be more fun than reporting glitches all day.

LOG 2

It’s been a day or two since I started working on Inscryption, and I have to admit: it seems promising. I mean, how many virtual card games are out there? At least it’s not an UNO clone.

I’ve only done small things so far like making sure that certain animations display properly. It’s another 2D game, just like GameFuna’s previous works, but it looks like some 3D stuff will be implemented later on, which is cool.

I’m considering poking around the files when I get the chance. Wonder what other neat stuff I can find in here before it’s inevitably left on the cutting room floor.

LOG 3

So, I was looking through some folders when I found this file that looked out of place. It was labelled as ‘OL_CARD.zip’, so I decided to unzip it. What I got was a single exe file that did nothing when opened. Must’ve been a card placeholder or something?

Anyways, I left it alone because the last thing I want is some higher-up getting mad at me for ‘tampering with the game.’ Besides. I kinda want to look into it some more.

Now all I gotta do is find it. Call me crazy, but it’s not in the folder I last saw it in. I swear, I’m gonna be seriously angry if this is some virus.

I still don’t know what’s going on, but when I booted up Inscryption, there was this red mass of pixels right outside Leshy’s cabin. I tried interacting with it, and a text box full of gibberish showed up.

I decided to ignore it and check up on the scrybe, and I found that Leshy seemed…off. His personality still isn’t very fleshed out, but he seemed to be on edge. The other NPCs in the area were, too. That’s when I shut off the game.

But that damn red thing was on my desktop now. It couldn’t open a text box with Inscryption closed, so it opened Notepad instead. Let me copy and paste what it said.

I wish I was making this up. Is this some kind of advanced AI? If so, why are they keeping it hidden in this random-freaking file tucked away in the back of a card game?

I have so many questions. And a part of me wants to ask this thing for answers.

LOG 6

Out of every single employee, I’m the one who gets the haunted game. Seems about right considering my luck.

Well, I’m not sure if this thing is a ghost or not. I’ve been talking to ‘Olcard’ by adding text into the code, and it’s been responding with those bugged text boxes. At least it’s getting better at using them.

Whatever it is, it’s really curious about the game and its development. I’ve asked my fellow coders if anything similar is happening to them, and they all give me weird looks. I’m half expecting to wake up any minute now.

I’ve finished up Leshy’s area and I’m working on Grimora’s next. Olcard gave me some good tips when I got stuck, so I think keeping him around a little while longer wouldn’t hurt anyone.

The Amazing Digital Circus AU Verse Info For Mokuba & Kisara! (Connected to some of @lcstsons Yugioh Muses, mainly Noa and Seto.)

Basic Information

Human Name: Mokuba Kaiba Avatar Inside The Game Name: Locket Type Of Avatar: Human / Player Age: 12 Main Connections From Outside The Game: Seto Kaiba (Big Brother), Noa Kaiba (Step-Brother), Kisara Utahara (Friend / Big Brother's Girlfriend) Avatar Description: A small black dragon with purple eyes and a rectangle-shaped locket around his neck that has no picture inside of it. Story Description

Following a pretty upsetting argument with his big brother Seto Kaiba, Mokuba runs off to the local arcade he often frequents to blow off some steam and try to get his mind off of things. Once there he sees on a video screen advertising a 'new' VR game called 'The Amazing Digital Circus', and that one can try it out in one of the rooms in the back. Curious and wanting some time 'outside of his own head' so to speak, he ventures back to the totally not shady place and slaps on a VR headset to enter the game. Once he does, his body goes into a comatose state, similar to what his brother experienced in the Death-T arc in canon. This luring of Mokuba was done by his step brother, Noa Kaiba, who infiltrated the circus game code and is classified as a 'Virus' in the code.

Once inside the game, Mokuba takes on the form of a black dragon (essentially fitting the 'wild beast' part of a circus troupe), forgetting various things about himself in the process, including his name, much like the other residents of the circus. What key things he does remember is his knowledge of gaming programming, his love of gaming in general, and that he does remember he has an older brother but cannot remember anything else other than that fact about him. He is also fixated on the locket around his neck, not knowing quite why but that it is very important to him and that he wants to figure out whose picture should be in the now blank spot.

He, much like Pomni, wants to find an exit and return home. He does participate in the adventures Caine creates, thinking that by 'completing' them he will be able to advance further enough into the game to find a way out. He gets along with most of the members of the circus, I'd imagine (except Jax because, well, he's a jerk), and does come to consider them friends and promises if he finds a way out, he will take them with him.

Story Description

Kisara Utahara, much like she is in my modern verse, is a world-famous singer and songwriter known as the Blue-Eyed Maiden, having started performing when she was 12. However, recently, she has been winding down her public performances to instead focus on pursuing the career path of a medical doctor (most likely in Pediatrics, as she has a soft spot for kids), following in her mother's footsteps. She attends Domino University's medical school and currently lives in an apartment with her elder sister and agent, Shiori, in the downtown area of Domino City, Japan. Not only did she choose to attend this university because it is in the city she mainly lives in already, but it also because this city is legally owned by and is the home of her boyfriend, the world-famous CEO of the world's biggest gaming company, Kaiba Corporation, Seto Kaiba.

Upon hearing news of Mokuba being trapped inside of the Amazing Digital Circus game, Kisara drops everything to try and help. She mainly acts as Seto's support in this situation, to prevent him from doing anything reckless in his anger over his brother being stuck inside this retro video game. To that end, once Seto finds a way to access the code and learns of Noa Kaiba's involvement with this entire situation, Kisara offers to go into the game (with him as her outside navigator / programmer) to get Mokuba out herself since he can't go into the game and help on the outside at the same time.

Thus, she enters the game through one of Kaiba Corporation's virtual pods (like the ones seen in the Legendary Heroes mini-arc in the anime), and manifests in the Digital Circus as 'Hope', a white-dragon avatar who appears as a 'NPC' (but is similar to Noa's status as a 'virus', meaning she cannot be deleted from the game by Caine but can corrupt code). Due to her being brought into the game indirectly through Seto's hacking, she fully maintains her memories, unlike the other humans inside the game. She is also able to allow Seto to speak through her or manipulate her actions, essentially 'control her avatar' if you will. She has complete trust in him to allow this.

Kisara's goal is to get Mokuba to get out of the game and regain his memories by creating an exit during a prime opportunity during an adventure, but escaping this colorful retro game is not as easy as it looks...not when you have both a crazy AI in Caine to deal with but also Noa who wants to keep the little Kaiba inside of this place...
