CHAPTER 2 OF "POISON"

"We don't want anything to do with Kasady." Eddie said as the police led you two inside a building.

"Too bad, he only wants to see you two."

"I'll eat him if he so much as touches you."

"No." You said answering Venom.

"No?" The officer asked.

"I mean- no problem. We're fine."

It's been about two years since Venom came onto earth and lived in your body and things have been going mostly well.

You and Venom occasionally fought, what couple doesn't?

But Venom's been complaining a lot more lately because there aren't any bad people for him to eat and he's be living off chocolate.

So when he heard Kasady was a bad guy, he's been trying very hard to convince you to let him break into his cell and eat him.

"Though, in my opinion, you had your chance with Kasady." The officer said. "And you blew it. Both of you."

"He's being kind of shitty to you, can I eat him?"

"So what does he want?" Eddie asked.

"Maybe he wants to spill the beans about where the missing bodies are buried." The officer said.

"So you're gonna have to do the right thing for a change Brock."

"O-Okay." Eddie said.

"You too, (Y/n)."

That made Venom snap and he reached out to try to eat the officer, you quickly grabbed him and dragged him into the bathroom.

"Women problems." You heard Eddie say, outside the bathroom covering for you.

"Get your tiny hands off me!"

"Venom!"

"We should be out there protecting the city!"

"What was that?!" You said holding him by his "neck".

"Unhand me! Man should never crawl when he has the urge to fly!"

"You got that out of a movie!" You said.

"And you are a bottom-feeder!"

"AND how many times have I told you to hide yourself while I'm working with Eddie?!"

"Eddie Eddie Eddie." Venom sassed. "Why are you more concerned about him than you are about this city? Than you are about me?!"

"I care more about you than I do Eddie, asshole! Now behave!"

"Or what?"

You groaned loudly. "I'll make you a deal. If you stay out of sight until we get home, we can go criminal hunting later."

"Oh yeah! That's what I'm talking about! I knew you would come around~"

"Stop it!" You said as he retracted back into your body.

You walked out of the bathroom and saw Eddie and the officer there waiting for you.

"That time of the month." You said. "We'll do it."

"I don't like either of you." The officer said.

"LET ME EAT HIM (Y/N)! PLEASE! HE'S A DOUCHBAG!"

"Maybe." You whispered.

"You don't deserve nice things."

"SEE?! EDDIE AGREES HE'S NOT A GOOD PERSON! LET! ME! EAT! HIM!"

"Calm down." You said turning to Eddie to make it look like you were talking to him when you were talking to Venom.

"Whatever." The officer said as he led you two to Kasady's cell.

"Welcome back Eddie Brock, (Y/n) (L/n). I've been thinking about you two." He said as you both approached his cell.

"What do you want, Cletus?" Eddie asked.

Meanwhile you didn't say anything because Venom kept asking you to let him eat him.

"I mean, why are we here?"

"Do a man who's buried alive a kindness, won't you? Get a message out to all my...fans. And in return, I'll give you my life."

"Huh?" You said once Venom shut up.

"Story. I heard the written word hasn't been working out so well, a piece like this, an exclusive interview would put you and your lovely girlfriend back on top."

"Not my girlfriend." Eddie corrected.

"Not my boyfriend." You added.

"Sure sure." Cletus said. "People love...serial killers."

"All my secrets laid bare, so much carnage."

"Why us?" Eddie asked.

"I like you two."

"Alright, it's a deal." Eddie said.

"What's your message?" You asked, preparing to write it down.

"'That distant cathedral is all I see, fractured angel the other part of me.' Put that as the cover."

"Is that it?" Eddie asked. "Who's gonna read some random haiku?"

"Print it." Cletus said. "And what's mine is yours."

"Fine." Eddie said. "Thank you."

"No, thank you." He said smiling.

You two began to walk out, but then Venom stopped you.

"V. What are you doing?" You whispered.

"Turn (Y/n), turn."

You looked at the wall and saw some drawings, but then Cletus called out to you.

"Don't forget me (Y/n)." He said.

"I'll kill him."

You gave Cletus a little nod before turning away. "You're jealous." You whispered.

You and Eddie walked out, confronted by your boss.

"What did you get?"

"Uhh (Y/n) got some photos and I got a headache."

"Be serious with me Brock."

"He read us poetry man, and (Y/n) saw some drawings inside a cell.

"Does it look like I'm laughing, Eddie?"

"You should try to." He said.

"I'll analyze the pictures I took and give Eddie the information I find tomorrow morning." You said.

"Keep me on the curve, you two."

"Bye (Y/n)." Eddie said, driving off on his new motorcycle.

You got into your own car and drove off.

"Get home immediately." Venom said.

"The sooner we get this done, the sooner we can go hunting."

"Alright." You said.

Once you were home, Venom made you grab a large sheet of paper and he made you grab some pens then he started quickly drawing everything he saw in the cell.

"Woah, okay." You said.

"What do you see?" He asked

"...a bunch of scribbles?"

"NO!"

Venom started over and drew something else.

"Now what do you see?"

"A house."

"Nevermind!"

He started over again and drew something else.

"That's a tree." You said.

"Idiot."

"Venom!" You said. "I don't know what you want from me!"

"Sit down!" He said, making you sit down.

"Now, pay attention."

Venom took control of your hands, drew something with his fingers, then looked up something online.

"Bingo."

"Holy shit." You said.

You called Eddie and told him what Venom uncovered.

A few nights later, you were watching TV with Venom and you put on the news.

Kasady's death sentence was reinstalled and a lot of people were thanking you and Eddie for solving a case that police and FBI could not.

"All thanks to one man and one woman." The TV said.

"And Venom."

"You know, this could be us (Y/n)." He said taking control of your body. "Going out there, solving cases, fighting bad guys."

"I could eat them and then we save the day."

"You've been watching too many Batman movies."

"You said I could eat bad guys! I haven't eaten Cletus Kasady!"

"Venom, again?"

"I need to be free. Feeling wind in my hair and sand between my toes."

"Venom. I love you. But what hair?

"You are not listening to me."

"Yes I am, V."

"I can't live like this anymore! I need to eat somebody!"

"Well eating people in inhumane!"

After you said that, Venom growled. "I'm not human!" Then he threw himself onto the floor and let you have control of your body so that you felt the pain.

"Venom!" You said clutching your side. "You are abusive!"

"I can't live on chicken and chocolate alone! You know this! I need brains!"

"Venom I'm sorry but you cannot eat people! It's not their fault you live on ph-phalala-"

"Phenylethylalanine."

"Yeah whatever."

"I've told you a thousand times, because it is only found in brains and chocolate."

"Venom listen to me. You cannot eat people because the FBI is still investigating us for all that "stuff we were involved with". So of one more head goes missing, we will get hauled off to Area 51. And we will both die there."

"Responsibility is for the mediocre."

"Venom please, I need to go to sleep, can we talk about this tomorrow?"

"Food! Food! Food! Food! Fooood!"

"OKAY FINE! I'LL GET YOU SOME FOOD!" You yelled.

As you were walking to Mrs. Chen's story, you heard someone screaming.

"Venom, Venom, Venom no we are in public."

"Too late!" He said making you walk towards the sound.

"God damn it." You sighed as he took control of your body.

He ran towards the screaming woman and the guy who was trying to steal her purse.

"VENOM VENOM VENOM VENOM VENOM VENOM VENOM VENOM VENOM!" You yelled as he picked up the guy and held him by his ankles.

"Hello you criminal!"

"VENOM NO PLEASE!"

"I am going to eat your head."

"NO PLEASE DON'T!"

"And the rest of your little boy body will roll around in dumpster juice!"

"You are safe ma'am." Venom said.

The woman ran away in terror.

"VENOM PLEASE DON'T EAT HIM!"

"Too late!" He said, eating the guy whole.

"Venom..." You said.

"What? Nobody knows because I ate the whole body! They're never gonna know!"

"IT'S STILL BAD WHEN PEOPLE GO MISSING! I TOLD YOU NOT TO EAT HIM!"

"What's the harm!? No body knows he went missing! Besides he was a bad guy!"

You forced Vemon to give you your body back and you started walking home.

"That's new."

"Shut up."

"Ooooh you've never been this angry with me before."

"Venom I mean it. If you don't stay quiet the rest of the night I will put on some high pitched noise and lock you away in a jar until you die."

"Hmph..very well."

The rest of the night was completely quiet.

"Are you still mad at me? Oh, you are."

"Yes Venom, I am."

"Look (Y/n) I'll make it up to you."

As soon as he said that, he sat down on the couch and started making you breakfast.

As he made breakfast, he started singing to a song on the radio which you couldn't help but find funny.

"Haha! You are laughing! You're not mad at me anymore!"

"No I still am." You said giggling.

"You cannot hide how truly feel (Y/n)."

He went back to singing his song and you got a text from Anne and Eddie.

The one from Anne was telling you how she and Dan got engaged and when she told Eddie he didn't take it well.

And he one from Eddie was a picture of a letter he received. Saying how both you and he were invited to watch Cletus Kasady die.

"We should go." You said.

"Uh. No. Bad idea."

"Well, we put him there so it's only right-"

"No. He put himself there when he decided to be a complete lunatic." Venom said, putting two plates of waffles in front of you. "Ta-da!"

"Am I forgiven?"

"Yes V." You said as you began eating. "You are."

Later, you and Eddie met up at the prison where Cletus was and Venom was talking to you.

"Why can't you let me eat the people in here? They're all bad guys."

"Not all of them." You whispered. "Some of them are framed. Besides, there's too many people who would see what's going on."

"Then we go at night! Where we are invisible."

"Sure V. I'll think about it."

After being led into the cell where Cletus was held. The officer who vrought you in, warned you both to stay two feet away from the bars.

"Please keep quiet." You told Venom.

"I'm always quiet."

"Ohhh happy day for you two huh?" Cletus said.

"What a scoop. The end of the magical...misery tour. I worry for your souls. How will you live with the weight of snuffing out a man's life."

"I was hoping you could give us some pointers." Eddie said, trying to be funny.

"Funny little guy aren't you?" Cletus said, then he looked at you. "But I was talking to her."

"Me?"

"Yes. You. You were the one who looked in my cell. Somehow, you figured it out. Clever, clever girl."

"Let me eat him."

"We're the same if you think about it."

"No we are not." You said.

"Twisted insides. You feel like home to me, you know that (Y/n)? Like family. And that is all I ever wanted in this world."

"Well, killing your grandmother and your mother is really funny way to showing it." Eddie said.

You looked at Eddie, then back at Cletus.

"Anything you want to unbidden yourself with before...you know?" You asked.

Cletus stood up and got closer to the cell. "I have wishes to bestow upon the both of you."

"That's nice."

"I want to wish you...this heartbreak."

"Uh oh."

"I wish for you to see out your days alone. Both of you."

"She is not alone!" Venom yelled, pulling you towards the cell and attacking Cletus.

"Oh shit." Eddie said.

"Speak to her again like that again and I shall have your head!"

"Easy Venom!" You whispered.

Since you were right up against the change, Cletus took his chance and bit your hand, drawing blood.

"(Y/n)?" He asked.

"Back up!" The officer said.

You held your hand and watched Cletus stare at you.

"I have tasted blood before my friend and that is not it. (Y/n) (L/n) has a big secret!" He yelled as you and Eddie were escorted out of the building.

"I'm going home Eddie." You said getting into your car.

"(Y/n)."

"I don't want to hear it."

"(Y/nnn)"

"No."

"(Y/n) I am sorry."

"You're sorry?! We almost got caught because you can't control your emotions!" You said walking into your apartment.

"We could be killed, but you don't think about that do you?! No! All you can think about is yourself and eating brains!"

"How dare you speak to me like that! Do you realize how lucky you are that I chose you?"

"Lucky?!" You yelled as Venom appeared over your shoulder. "No, it's you who's lucky. I took you in because you got rejected off your own planet. And what I get in return for housing you and feeding you is the FBI on my back and you yelling in my ear all the fucking time!"

That set Venom off and he headbutt you in the face, breaking your nose.

"Oh what the fuck!" You said as you started to cry.

"Oh I'm so sorry I don't know what came over me." Venom said. "Let me fix it."

"So I can break it again!" He said, headbutting you again after he fixed it.

"You son of a bitch!" You yelled trying to strangle him, which led you getting thrown around the room.

"Get out!" Venom yelled. "Take your stuff and get out!"

"This is my house! You get out!"

"No!"

Venom started throwing your stuff out the window and you grabbed him by the face and punched him.

Then he tried to strangle you and you grabbed him by the tongue and threw him back.

"You cannot win (Y/n)! Look at yourself! Weak, puny, and pathetic!"

You threw a lamp at Venom's head and he threw you to the ground.

"I'm breaking up with you!" He yelled.

"Fine!" You said.

Venom pressed the smoke alarm and detached from your body.

Venom took over someone else's body and climbed back up to your window.

"You are nothing without me. I hope you realize that after I leave and SUFFER!"

"Fuck you!" You yelled, starting to cry.

Venom growled at you, and started jumping from roof to roof.

Despite being very mad at him, you still loved him and it hurt that you two broke up.

While crying, you decided to pick up your room and then eat ice cream out of the fridge.

Then Eddie called you.

"Eddie? What's the matter?" You asked as you answered your phone.

"Did you and Venom break up?" He asked.

"Yeah..." You said. "How did you know..?"

"Because I can see him running around and I know you would never let him do that."

"It's my fault Eddie! I was angry at him and said a lot of things I shouldn't have said and now he's gone! He could die out there!" You cried.

"Well I'll try to hunt him down for you, okay? Try not to worry." He said.

"Eddie you don't have to-...hello?"

He hung up.

You sighed and continued eating ice cream as you watched cat videos on your phone.

While you were devastated over the whole ordeal, Venom out and about having the time of his life.

"Look at all these weirdos!" He said, walking into a rave party. "My kind of people."

"Nice costume!"

"Greatest costume ever!"

"Awesome work!"

"Thank you! I made it myself"

"Hey." Some girl said walking up to him.

"Who? Me?"

"Hello gorgeous~"

"Uh..no..sorry I'm with someone...wait no, I mean, not my type!" He said as he walked off.

He raised his fist to the air and cheered. "I am out of the (Y/n) closet!"

Then he heard his name and turned his head.

Some girl was on stage singing.

And she said his name.

So he walked on stage and took the microphone. "Thank you!"

When he realized what was happening, he started to freak out. "Oh shit."

"Your costume is amazing!"

"Thank you, one person!"

The crowd started to cheer. "(Y/n) was wrong!" He said.

"She kept me hidden because she was ashamed! But look at me now! You love me and I'm free!"

The crowd cheered again.

"Stop this cruel treatment of aliens! It is wrong! All of us should be able to live together upon this ball of rock!"

"FREE TO BE WHO WE BE!"

"I love you!" Some random girl yelled.

"I love you too!"

Venom then did a mic drop and walked off the stage.

He walked towards the bathrooms and slid down the wall.

"I wish you saw me tonight (Y/n)..."

While you were in your apartment, you got a phone call from Eddie, saying he needed to talk to you at the police station.

When you arrived you were allowed to talk to him alone for five minutes.

"Eddie what's going on, did you find Venom?"

He shook his head, his hands were shaking.

"Eddie?" You asked.

"When Cletus bit you." He whispered. "Did he draw blood?"

"Yes?"

Eddie banged his head on the table. "That explains it."

"Explains what? Eddie what happened?"

"Have you not seen the news?" He asked.

"No, Venom threw my TV out the window during our fight."

Eddie leaned closer to you and whispered. "Cletus Kasady broke out of prison because he now has his own symbiote thanks to biting you and gaining your blood. And the police think I'm behind this."

You gasped and covered your mouth. "Oh my god...what do we do?"

"If I tell the police some sort of convincing lie, then I'll be able to get out of here in like five minutes to find Venom."

"Please find him Eddie." You said. "I'm worried and I'm scared."

"Where do you think he would be at?" Eddie asked.

"Probably Mrs. Chen's convince store for chocolate because it's one of the only things he eats."

"Thanks (Y/n)." Eddie said. "I'll call you as soon as I find him."

You nodded and left the room.

However, as you were walking back to your car, a hand grabbed you.

After a few hours, Venom went back to your apartment, wanting to apologize to you, but you weren't there.

So instead he took over Mrs. Chen.

Right as Eddie walked in. "Mrs. Chen!"

"What do you want?" She said.

"Where's Venom?"

"Why do you want to know?!"

"Because (Y/n)-"

"Ohhh are you dating her now? Because all she seems to care about is you!"

Eddie looked at Mrs. Chen and noticed she wasn't acting like her normal self.

"Get out of Mrs. Chen right now Venom!" He said.

"No! She doesn't need me! She hates putting up with me!"

"Well you wanna know something fuck face?" Eddie said. "Right after you left, I called her and she was in tears saying how upset she was that you left and that she regretted everything that she said."

"Then why isn't she here?! Why isn't she at her apartment?! If she cared, she would be here!"

"Look Venom, I don't know what she said to you. But she regrets it and she needs you and she loves you. And now I'm worried because I told her I would call her once I found you and she's not picking up her phone and...FUCK! Cletus might already have her! Venom you get out here right now, we need to find (Y/n)!"

Venom groaned. "Fine!"

You were being held captive as a lure for Venom since Cletus somehow knew you two were separated.

During Cletus and his girlfriend's marriage, you were tied up in a box behind them.

"If anyone objects to this marriage, speak now or forever hold your-"

Someone burst in through the door. "Where is she?!"

"Venom!" You yelled before the box closed it's lid.

A lot of noise was heard and you were scared, you didn't know what was going on.

Suddenly, the lid was thrown open and you picked up a large red tentacle.

And you were soon face to face with an ugly red symbiote.

"OH MY GOD, YOU'RE HIDEOUS!" You said.

The red one roared at you.

"(Y/n)!" Eddie wheezed.

"Eddie?!" You yelled. "Eddie!"

As you were carried away, you saw Venom desperately trying to get up.

"(Y/n)!" He yelled.

You were carried to the top of the roof where the red symbiote was about to eat you, that was until Venom jumped on top of him and stabbed him.

The red one threw you and Venom jumped over and caught you.

"Venom!" You said happily, wrapping your arms around him.

Before he could re-enter your body, he was stabbed and sent into the clock tower.

You rolled off the edge and just before you fell Venom caught you.

"Venom!" You said holding onto his hand. "I'm sorry for everything!"

Venom didn't say anything for a few seconds.

He looked like he was crying as he grabbed onto you.

"I know you are! Eddie told me!" He said, taking control of your body. "I'm sorry too!"

Venom grabbed onto the edge of the drop then grabbed Eddie and brought him to saftey.

"I gave him a little pep talk." Eddie said.

"Thank you." You said.

"(Y/n) says thank you!" Venom said before rushing off to finish the finish Kasady and his symbiote.

But was caught off guard and started getting choked by him.

"Venom!" You yelled.

He kept getting stabbed over and over again by Cletus and he couldn't heal himself because he was out of food.

The girl that kidnapped you walked up behind you and Venom knocked her into the bell, causing her to let out an ear piercing scream, which sent the red symbiote out of Cletus's body.

Venom was sent out of your body as well, but thanks to Eddie, he managed to catch up to you in time and save you from the fall.

Cletus was not as lucky.

Before his symbiote could reattach to him, Venom ate him.

"Ew." You said.

"He did not taste good."

Then he lifted up Cletus and Venom let you look at him with your own eyes.

"I'm a killer (Y/n), with or without the monster. But you know what I really wanted?"

"No, what?"

"I wanted to be your friend. And I wanted to be Eddie's friend."

"I'm sorry, Cletus..."

"Fuck this guy!" Venom yelled, taking control of your body again and eating his head.

After regaining control of your body you helped Eddie out of the cathedral and hugged him.

"Oh Eddie!" You said. "Thank you! I couldn't have done this without you!"

"Of course (Y/n). But you need to get out of this city. They'll hunt you down."

You nodded. "I know."

You gave Eddie a goodbye hug, then ran back to your apartment to grab some things.

"(Y/n)." Venom said after you entered your apartment.

"I must leave you. It's me they want." He said, appearing out of your shoulder.

You grabbed him by the head and placed your forehead against his own. "Well too bad. I'm not losing you again."

Venom let out a deep rumbling noise. "I am very lucky to have you as my host."

"Thank you Venom." You said smiling. "I love you."

"I love you too."

A few months later, you and Venom moved to a different state and started over with a brand new life.

But right now, you were on the beach, letting Venom have his toes in the sane as he watched the sun with you, having his head appear out of your shoulder.

"Thank you for bringing me here (Y/n)."

"Of course, V."

"It's beautiful isn't it?" You said.

"Almost as beautiful as you."

"Oh stop, you're being cheesy."

"You liked it. You cannot lie to me."

"Yeah I know V. I know."

After a few moments of silence, Venom spoke up again.

"(Y/n)?"

"Yes?"

"Can we get another Pina Colada?"
